Amerzone: The Explorer's Legacy

Chapter 2: Schipwreck Island:

The Hydraflot floats rudderless on the water. Right in front of you you can see the high rocky outcrops of Schipwreck Island. 

Click with your hand on the screen in the cockpit of the Hydraflot.

 You will enter the selection screen where you can set the various functions of the Hydraflot. Now click on "Sailing" and .....

........after the system has checked the status, the Hydraflot changes into a sailboat and sails a little further.  However, the Hydraflot then comes to a halt again because the access to the bay of Schipwreck Island is blocked. Click on the screen again and now choose the "Submarine" function to change the Hydraflot into a small submarine.

We then see a whale swimming through an underwater strait into the lagoon and then the Hydraflot also dives underwater and continues sailing, hitting a shipwreck. 

As a result, the shipwreck now also closes off the underwater access. 

The Hydraflot resurfaces and moors at the jetty of.......

Schipwreck Island.

A fisherman is fishing on the jetty. Turn right and exit the Hydraflot through the doorway. You are then on the jetty.

Turn left and go forward to the fisherman who is angling at the other end of the jetty. Talk to the fisherman

The old fisherman is quite mad at you. Because you hit that shipwreck with the Hydraflot, a whale is now trapped in the lake. The whale is caught in the fishing nets of the shipwreck and because of that whale the fish have disappeared and the fisherman no longer catches fish. So the man is quite mad at you and doesn't want to talk to you. So you will first have to make sure that the whale disappears from the lake so that the fisherman can catch fish again. Then he will want to talk to you.

Turn right and go over the jetty to the beach. There is a large wooden ship on the beach, which now serves as a cafe.

Turn left on the beach. Past the cafe you will see the Windmill. Turn back and go forward to the Cafe ship and then enter through the swinging doors. 

  In side the cafe, turn to the right (the counter is on the left). Go forward 1 time. You are then in front of the back table. A Diving Helmet is on the table.

  Grab the diving helmet because you have to dive underwater right away and then a diving helmet is handy.

 A dartboard hangs on the back wall. Go forward 1 more time. You are then in front of the stove. 

The Dartboard hangs to the right of the stove. There is a Knife in the Dartboard. Grab the Knife.

Turn around and go forward 2 times back to the counter. Turn left and go outside again through the swinging doors. 

Turn right. You look over the beach to the windmill. Beyond the windmill, you can see the Aircraft hangar in the distance.

Now go forward 3 times over the beach and you are then just in front of the aircraft hangar. Go to the front of the hangar

In front of the hangar is a petrol pump and a large tank. Enter the hangar. 

An aircraft engine hangs in the hoists in the shed. Behind the hanging engine is an airplane. To the right of that engine is a box and in front of the box is a jerrycan on the ground. Go forward to the right behind the airplane engine. You are then in front of the table. There is a wrench on the table. Grab the wrench

Turn around and go back through the hangar. You are then again in front of the entrance. Now turn left to the Jerrycan and grab the Jerrycan.

Turn back and go back outside through the entrance of the hangar. You are then faced with the slope over which the aircraft can enter the water. Turn left and now aim the forward arrow at the gas pump. You end up back behind the gas pump. Turn around to the gas pump. Take the Jerrycan from your inventory and click on the gas pump with the Jerrycan.

The Jerry can is automatically filled with petrol from the pump and disappears automatically back to your inventory.

 Turn around again and now go forward 3 times back to the Windmill. 

You are then behind the windmill. Turn right so that you are directly behind the windmill. 

There is a lever behind the windmill. Zoom in on the lever with your Loupe cursor. Click on this pull lever and then zoom out.

Look up and see that the blades of the windmill are now turning. 

Now click forward to the left of the pull lever to end up at the front of the windmill.

A pipe enters the lake from the windmill. Turn around. You are in front of the Air Pump. On the floor, to the right of the pump, is a hose. Find the end of the hose. Then take the diving helmet from your inventory and click with it on the end of the hose to  attach the Diving Helmet to the hose.

Turn back to the lake. The pipe runs over the right beam and then disappears down into the water.

 At the point where the pipe goes down you get the "Gears". Take the wrench from your inventory and click with it on the end of the pipe.

This will unscrew the piece of pipe that goes into the water from the horizontal pipe. Turn back to the air pump. On the left side of the windmill you will see a turning wheel. Zoom in on that turning wheel. Then click with your hand on the wheel to start it. This causes a cogwheel to rise under the windmill.

You automatically zoom out and you are again in front of the air pump.

 Now click on the lever that is on top of the pump and .... the motor starts and now stays on.

Oxygen will now flow through the hose to the Diving Helmet. Look at the diving helmet and now click on it and ....

......... you will automatically end up under water.......

Underwater:

So now you have to search underwater for the Whale that is caught in the net. Straight ahead you can see the wreck of a sunken ship. Aim the forward arrow at that shipwreck and then go forward 1 time. You hear the desperate squeak of the whale. Turn slightly to the right. On the bottom you will see one of the "anchors" of the fishing net. 

Take the Knife from your inventory and then click on the "anchor" to cut the rope of the net.

In a cut scene you  see how the whale is freed and swims away. 

Look again at the "anchor" and then turn right. Right next to the bushes, behind the "anchor", you get the forward arrow. Do not click forward but turn a little more to the right. To the right of the right bush is a large stone and here you also get the forward arrow. Now click forward and you will end up back at the pier of the Windmill. 

Click forward again to get out of the water here. You are then back at the front of the windmill. 

Now go back to the old fisherman on the jetty.

Talk to the old fisherman again. Now that the whale is gone, the old fisherman will talk to you.

The old fisherman now tells you that a few people have already been here in 1932, with a Hydraflot that you came with. 

However, those people never got that vehicle to work again and left it here. The old fisherman gives you a key.

Now go back to the aircraft hangar and when you are again at the gas pump.  At the front of the hangar, continue forward 3 times. You are then at a plane wreck that is half buried in the beach. Continue forward 3 times. You have then reached the end of the beach. A stone staircase goes up between the high rocks. Go forward up the stone stairs.

You are then in the rock gorge. Go forward again. You are now on the other side of the island. 

You are standing in front of the ruins of a wooden shed.

Go forward into the shed and then look down. There is a chest in the shed. 

Take the Key that you just got from the old fisherman from your inventory and click it on the chest

The chest opens and in it lies Floppy disc 2. Grab the Floppy disc.

Turn around and follow the same route all the way back to the jetty and the Hydraflot. Now enter the Hydraflot again. 

In the Hydraflot, turn around to the Egg in the back of the hold. At the top left, next to the Egg, you get the "gear cursor". 

That's where the fuel tank filler hole is. So take the jerrycan filled with petrol from your inventory and click with it on the filling opening, to the left of the Egg. 

The Hydraflot now has a full fuel tank again.Since you haven't come across the old craft the fisherman was talking about anywhere on land, it must be underwater somewhere! Turn around to the dashboard and click on the screen with your hand again. You will return to the selection menu. Now click on "Grapnel". After all systems have been checked again and you have zoomed out again, click on the lever that is on the right of the screen (below the two white round meters). 

You now shoot the hook hook from the Hydraflot and that hook hook disappears under the water. 

Go back to the Windmill and to the front of the windmill. Click on the diving helmet again and you will end up underwater again. 

Go forward 1 time again. You are then underwater back at the place where the net anchor is in the bottom. 

Make sure you see that "net anchor" again and then go forward 2 times. You are then at a plane wreck. 

Turn right. Straight ahead you will see a Pole. Go forward towards that pole and then again forwards.

 Behind the pole is the wreck of the old Hydraflot and you now also see the rope of the Grapnel going there. Go forward one more time and you are at the Hydraflot wreck. On the sand heap lies the dredge anchor of your Hydraflot, so the Grapnel Click with your hand on the Grapnel anchor to attach the anchor to the wreck.

So now you have to go back to your Hydraflot. Turn slightly to the left and then go forward 1 time, left along the pole.  You are back at the net where the whale was trapped and in the distance you can see the plane wreck again.  Go forward to the plane wreckage and then turn left and then go forward 2 more times.

You are back at the big stone behind the "net anchor". So go forward 2 times here and you are back on the pier in front of the windmill.

Go back to your Hydraflot and enter the Hydraflot again. Click on the Grapner lever again, under the two white round meters and ....

.....you raise the Grapnel anchor again and the anchor now rips the door out of the old Hydraflot wreck. Iit is indeed now the intention that you now go underwater again to enter the wreck of the old Hydraflot. So go back to the windmill, click on the diving helmet again to get underwater again and then follow the same route as before to the Hydraflot wreck. 

Now enter the wreckage and then zoom in on the large steering wheel. 

In the screen, above the steering wheel, you can now read the coordinates you need to continue on your way to Amerzone.

 You read the number 227.

Swim out of the wreck and follow the route back to the windmill and go back to your own Hydraflot. You now have everything you need to continue your journey to Amerzone. You have the 2nd Floppy disc, you know the new coordinates and you have refueled. Take the Floppy from your inventory and click it in the slot, below the screen.  You will return to the Load screen. Check whether you have put Floppy 2 in. If so, click on "Load" and you will return to the function screen. Now click on "Helicopter" and....

....... then enter the new code 227, so click on 2, 2, 7 and then on the asterisk. Then click on "Confirm Destination". 

You will automatically zoom out. Below the two white round meters is the large Start lever.  Click on this large Start lever and .......

.....the Hydraflot now briefly becomes a Helicopter and now flies straight up and then over the mountains and then automatically continues as an airplane.

 It's another long flight that ends in a river because the fuel tank has run out again. You have landed in:
