Chapter 3: Part 2: Sewers

The sewer is the games version of the Maze ubiquitous in Adventure Games and you now have to navigate Darren correctly through the dirty and smelly corridors. At the back of the screen you will see a passage "Round the Corner" on the left. Click with your exit cursor in that left passage (Round the Corner) and Darren will enter the next corridor. Continue left via "Back that Way", to the next corridor. At the back you can then enter a corridor on the left and right. Go into the left corridor (Back Left). 

Darren is then in a tunnel where the next passage seems to be blocked at the back. 

However, click on that blocked passage (Backwards) with your exit cursor and Darren will continue to the back. 

This tunnel is a dead end, but on the left there is a small wooden beam (Wooden beam) against the wall. Take the Wooden Beam. 

Click "Forwards" at the bottom left to return to the previous screen. 

Then click "Back" at the bottom right and Darren walks back to the corridor where he turned left earlier. 

Go one screen to the right via the bottom right (Front right). At the bottom left you then can go back to the "entrance", but that is not the intention now. Go another screen to the right via the bottom right (To the right). Darren ends up near a staircase. At the top right, an Iron Bar leans against the wall. Go get that Iron Bar

Then walk back to the previous screen via the bottom left (To the Left) and then go one screen further. 

You are then back in the tunnel where you turned left earlier, at the back, to grab the wooden beam 

Now go right behind (Back right) into the right tunnel and Darren ends up at a large iron gate that closes the sewer. 

Take the Iron Bar from inventory and click with it on the lower part of the middle fence and.... 

Darren moves the bottom gate up a bit but it needs to be propped up so it stays open. So take the wooden beam from inventory and also click on the lower part of the fence to place the beam under the fence. Then click on the gate with the Exit cursor and.....Darren crawls under the gate to the other side. 

Exit via "Back left" then continue 2 screens to the right. 

Darren ends up at a gate again, which is locked with a padlock on a chain. In the left wall you see the opening of a sewer pipe. 

Click into the sewer pipe and Darren finds a piece of fabric from a blouse in the pipe and he stores it in inventory. 

The pipe slopes downwards and Darren shouts through the pipe. Now click with the Exit cursor in the sewer pipe and.....

Darren crawls into the pipe and slide through the pipe to an unknown destination.......

Bunker:

Water tank room:

In a flash we see that Darren lands in a bunker-like room, but the "Soul Key" is broken due to the hard landing. So there is no light and your screen is completely black. However, Darren reports that his camera's flash may provide some light. So move the cursor down to open the inventory and then right-click on the photo camera and.....

FLASH....Darren briefly saw something in the flash. But your screen is completely black again. Now move your cursor over the black screen. In several places you now  see 2 tiny white question marks when you move the cursor over the screen. You aget the eye cursor next to those question marks. So look for the question marks in your black screen and then click with the eye cursor. Darren will then report what he sees where the question marks are and ithe question marks will be replaced by the name of the items that lies there.

To make all places where the question marks are visible at one glance, you can  press your SPACEBAR.  You will then see all the so-called "Hotspots" on the screen. You will then see no question marks but small magnifying glasses on the screen. Then click the places where those magnifying glasses appear.

You need to find all the "hotspots" as mentioned above. The names of the items located on the "hotspots" will then appear on the screen. You will then find the following items: A Metal Tube; A Bucket with Oil;  A Metal Door;  A Water Hose; The remains of the "Soul Key"; An old cloth; And the Pipe to Sewer. The main items you need to find are the Metal Tube, the Bucket of Oil and the Old Cloth 

If you have found and clicked all 7 "Hotspots", then all those "Hotspots" have been given the name of the item that is there. So the screen is still black. Find the Metal Tube spot again and now take the Metal Tube. Then find the old cloth spot again and take the old cloth. Then combine the old Cloth with the Metal Tube in inventory to make a torch. Take the Torch from inventory and click it on the Bucket with Oil spot to dip the Torch in the oil. Then in inventory combine your Matches iwith the Torch to light the Torch with your last match, and......

Darren sticks the torch somewhere in the wall and lights the torch and there is light. You see 2 enormous water tanks, which you cannot do anything with. On the left is the Metal Door. There is a switch box to the left of the door. Under the switch box you will see red cables coming out of the box. To the right of the door is the Oil bucket and the Water hose

Click on the door with the Exit cursor and listen to Darren. The door is locked by means of bars that come from the box that is on the door. It's a Sliding Door and it won't open. Click on the switch box. Darren wonders if he can open the door with the switch box. There are 4 buttons on the control box and Darren pressed one of those buttons but nothing happens.  Click on the Cable, under the switch box. The cables are loose and not connected. Click again on the Cable and Darren connect the cable back to the switch box. Click again on the switch box  and....Darren presses a button again and now he turns on the light. Darren then presses the door button but....The door makes a sound but does not open. A metal bar blocks the door.

There is also a box on the door and 3 bars come out of that box and then go into the right wall. The bottom of those 3 bars is broken and blocking the door. Click on the bottom Metal bar in the door and Darren removes the bottom bar and places the bar under the switch box. Click on the switch box again and....Darren presses the door button again and now the door opens. So go through the now opened door and.....

Cell:

Darren ends up in the next room where he was already expected. 

A guy with a face mask locks Darren up and tells him that "they" were already expecting Darren.

They have also captured Angelina and in a few days it will be Darren's turn to "get it". 

The masked guy then disappears and Darren is locked up

The metal door through which Darren entered the cell is locked again. The barred door is locked with a blue padlock (Cell lock). Click the cell lock. Darren says he needs a welding torch to burn through the lock. But unfortunately...Darren doesn't have a welding torch. Perhaps Darren can make a welding torch  with the items from inventory and items that can be found in the cell?

There are shelves on the wall with things on them. There is a camping gas bottle (camping stove) on the small shelf. Next to the camping gas bottle is an aluminum dish. Under the gas bottle is a thick water bottle and on the bottom shelf is a red Screwdriver. On the top shelf is a chain and rusty food cans. There is also an Igniter)hanging on the top shelf. Take the Igniter. Take the chain. Darren reports that the chain is about 2 meters long. Take the Screwdriver. Take the aluminum dish Click on the bars of the barred door. The iron bars are rusty. Darren has an idea...With some rust powder and aluminum powder he could make welding powder. Take the knife from inventory and click with it on the bars of the grate to scrape some rust off the bars.

 In inventory, combine the Knife with the Aluminum Dish to get some aluminum powder. 

Darren then mixes the Aluminum powder with the Rust powder to form Welding powder. 

Take the Welding Powder from inventory and click it on the blue padlock. Darren puts the powder in the padlock.

Now light the camping stove with the Igniter.  

Then take the Sparkler from inventory and click it on the now burning camping stove to light up the sparkler 

Click with the burning sparkler on the padlock and .... 

The padlock is burned through and falls to the floor. Click on the Cell door  to kick the door open. 

Then walk through the now opened cell door to the left. Darren ends up in:

Generator room:

Darren is standing by the shelving unit. It's dark on this side of the cell door. There are 3 metal lockers on the left. There are 3 levers on the wall between the shelving unit and those 3 metal cabinets. There is a yellow water hose under the 3 levers. The Generator is located to the left of the 3 metal lockers. All three levers are down. Click on the levers......... Darren then walks to the left and turns on the generator and with it the lights. Darren walks back to the levers. 

Now click the left lever up so that the door to the Water Tank Room opens again and remains open. At the bottom of the shelving unit is a large blue box (package). In the third compartment of the shelving unit there is a small box, on top of a large box. Click on the blue chest. Darren reports that there is a rubber inflatable boat in the box. Click again on the blue chest to take the Self-inflated rubber dinghy. 

The rubber dinghy is immediately inflated. Click on the Box and Darren stores the box in inventory. There are Magnesium Torches in the box. On the left are those 3 metal lockers. Click on the middle locker to open it first. Reginald Borris is locked up in the middle locker. Borris is stabbed and he dies. But before Borris dies he says a few more words. After you have gone out of the close-up again, click on the middle locker again to get back into the close-up. Then click the corpse again and......

Darren now takes a torn half poem from Borris's breast pocket. After Darren has read the poem and put it away in inventory, click on the corpse again and Darren now takes a roll of insulating tape from Borris' pockets. Now open the left and right lockers and then click inside the lockers to hear Darren say what's in them. Take a Fuse Cable from the right locker and take a stick of Dynamite from the left locker. 

Darren reports that there is still a stick of dynamite in the left locker, but he does not need the second stick yet. On the left is the large metal door through which the masked guy left the room. In the corner, to the right of that door, is a large wooden crate with all kinds of junk on it. Click 2xon at that junk crate and Darren report what the junk on the crate is and one of those things is a Detonating device. Click the red Detonator and Darren will tell you what needs to be done.

You can't take the detonator. In front of the large metal door is a large round hatch that protrudes from the floor. 

Click the hatch a few times and Darren will then open the hatch. 

Click with the exit cursor in the now open hatch and....Darren descends and ends up in the basement

Basement

Here too there is a pressure hatch in the floor. Click on the hatch twice. But Darren can't open this hatch. 

To the left of the ladder is a pair of Gloves on the floor. Take the Gloves and Darren will also find a Wrench. There is a heavy, thick concrete beam hanging at the top of the corner.Take the Dynamite from inventory and click the rod on the hatch. Darren attaches the dynamite stick to the hatch. Take the Fuse cable from inventory and click it on the dynamite stick to connect the cable to the dynamite. 

The cable goes up from the dynamite stick, via the ladder. But you also still have the Fuse cable in inventory. 

Click at the top of the ladder with the exit cursor to climb back up.

 Back at the top, take the Fuse cable from inventory and click it on the Detonator that is on the junk crate.

Darren connects the cable to the detonator. Clickon the detonator again and.......... Darren reports that everything is ready for the explosion. So click with the gear cursor on the ignition mechanism and.....BOOM.....the dynamite is detonated. Descend through the hatch back into the basement again. Unfortunately...the explosion didn't open the hatch in the basement. Click on the hatch and do that twice. 

Unfortunately....the hatch barely suffered any damage because the...force of the explosion was off the hatch. Darren has to try again.

Climb back up and take the second Dynamite stick from the left metal locker and a new fuse cable from the right metal locker. 

Descend again to the Cellar. In the corner. To the left of the ladder, there is a concrete beam on the ceiling. 

Click the Concrete Beam and Darren will tell you what to do next. 

So attach the new dynamite stick to the concrete beam and then attach the new fuse cable to the dynamite stick.

Climb back up and reconnect the fuse cable to the detonator

Then click on the detonator and.... again..... BOOM....... Descend back down to the basement and see.... the concrete beam has collapsed and has opened the hatch. Click with the exit cursor in the round hatch hole...butDarren reports that the beam is now in the way so that he cannot enter through the hatch. Take the Chain from inventory and attach the chain to the concrete beam. Take the inflatable dinghy from inventory and also click on the concrete beam. 

Darren places the inflatable boat against the beam and also attaches the chain to the boat. Click 2x on the dinghy and ........

Darren deflates the inflatable boat and this lifts the heavy beam from the hatchway.

So click in the hatch again with the exit cursor and now Darren descends further and ends up again in:

Sewer:

At the top left you see a barred hole through which light enters. At the top right, next to the ladder, there are 2 thick orange cables

Click the right red cable    Darren thinks it's a life power cable so it has to be removed. 

Walk left and then click on the barred hatch twice 

Darren reports that it is his exit out of here but unfortunately there is no ladder on this side. But maybe Darren can fill the sewer with water so he can swim up to the lattice hatch? Walk back to the ladder. In inventory combine the roll of Insulating Tape with the Gloves. You then have Insulated Gloves. Take the Gloves from inventory and click with them on the right orange power cable at the top of the ladder. 

Darren climbs up the ladder and grabs that cable and climbs back to the basement with the cable. 

The 2 orange power cables are now hanging out of the hatch. 

Climb back up to the generator room and then walk to the right, back into the Cell and then right through the metal door to the Water Tank room.

Look again at the yellow water hose, which hangs to the right of the door. Then take the Water Hose. Darren stores the rolled up water hose in inventory. Walk back to the Generator room. There is also a yellow water hose under the 3 levers, which hang between the shelving unit and the metal cabinets. Now take a look at this water hose. It is a thick hose, like the one used by the fire brigade. Also grab this thick water hose

In inventory combine both yellow Water Hoses to make them into 1 long hose. Go back to the Water Tank room. Examine the left water tank. The drain pipe (Outlet) is located at the bottom right of the left water tank. Take the Water Hose from inventory and click the hose on the outlet pipe of the left water tank.The long water hose is now connected to the left water tank and goes through the door to the generator room, but you also have the Water Hose icon in inventory. Click the outlet pipe of the water tank again.  Darren reports that he has to take the other end of the hose down through the 2 hatches to the sewer. Go back to the generator room and descend through the hatch back to the basement. Back in the basement, take the Water Hose from inventory and click it in the round hatch through which you can descend to the sewer. 

Darren now hangs the other end of the hose in the hatchway. 

Go back to the water tank room and click the outlet pipe of the left water tank again and...... 

The sewer pipe now fills up with water. A moment later, Darren turns off the tank drain again. 

Well...go back to the basement and dive into the hatch again to dive into the flooded sewer pipe.

Your screen goes black again and you hear "blubblubblub". Then you see Darren from a top view. Darren swims in the flooded sewer pipe and sits under the barred hatch. Quickly take the wrench from inventory and quickly click with it on the Lattice Hatch because Darren doesn't have much time before he drowns. . .......

Darren manages to open the lattice hatch in time and crawls out of the sewer and is now in the:

Front room of the Bunker:

To the right, on the podium, is the metal door to the generator of the bunker. There is a button to the left of the door. There is a heavy chain at the front right of the stage. There is also a metal door at the top of the screen. On the left is a pile of stones and in front of that is an old mine cart. Top left is a small crevice with a grate in it. There is a large wooden plank hatch under the mine cart. Look at all these things. The 2 doors  are locked.  If you look at that crevice, you can then click the Heavy iron grate in the crevice.....Do this several times.

Click on the old mine cart and do this several times. The cart is missing a wheel. 

Click the round Stones behind the mine cart. The stones are too heavy to lift. To the left of the mine cart is a wooden plank hatch. Walk onto that plank hatch and....a few planks break out of the hatch and Darren almost falls, hurtling down through the hatch. But Darren steps back just in time. There is now a hole in the plank hatch.

 Now look at the plank hatch......Darren sees a deep shaft under the hatch. Click on the floor boards to remove all planks. 

Darren places the planks to the left of the hatch (Planks).  Click on the planks to grab 1 thick solid plank and store it in inventory. 

Walk onto the stage and take the heavy chain. Then click the button to the left of the door.

The door opens. Go through the door and Darren ends up back in the Generator room. 

Take the wrench from inventory and click with it on the generator (Compressor). Darren unscrews the spinning wheel from the generator.

Walk back through the door to the front room. Place the wheel on the Mine Cart. 

Then click on the mine cart to push the cart to the deep shaft.  The mine cart must be filled with round stones. Click the heavy chain on the mine cart. So in the Crevice there is an iron grate in the ground. Take the end of the heavy chain from inventory and click it on the grate in the crevice to attach the other end of the chain to that grate. 

The mine cart is now attached to the grate via the chain and the chain also lies over the mountain of round stones.

Now click on the round stones and... With an enormous effort, Darren fills the mine cart with round stones. 

Take the wooden beam / plank from inventory and click with it on the mine cart and....Darren uses the plank to push the cart into the shaft and....the weight of the tumbling cart pulls the grate into the shaft. Click the Crevice again and Darren reports that he can now crawl through the hole. So now click with the exit cursor in the crevice and......

Darren ends up in the Secret Society Meeting Room of the secret order but fortunately the room is deserted. Click on the wooden door  and...

.......Darren opens the wooden door......Go through the now opened door and....

Darren is stunned by a tranquilizer dart and kidnapped and he has another nightmare and then he wakes up in a room:
