Chapter 6

Mother explains a few things after which you continue talking through all the conversation options. So Darren is actually Adrian and his mother's name is Cathrin. Angelina was Darren's sister and she was driven mad by the Gordon's Curse. Momma has a momentary vision. Darren will meet his mother again later in Florida. After the conversation with his real mother, Darren goes to the Great Hall to talk to Bates and this goes without saying. Bates then walks away.

Go through the kitchen to the backyard / stables. Louis is still working under the black car. Talk to Louis about the car and the travel tickets.

Louis knows nothing about the tickets and did not leave with the car. Also, Louis hasn't seen Sally since this morning. Go back to the kitchen, the Great Hall and on to the bathroom on the top floor. Sally lies dead on the floor. Sally is gruesomely murdered. What happened here and who is the killer. The window is open. Click on Sally to see her corpse in close-up

With her left indexfinger Sally point to a tile of the bathtube but there's nothing to see on that tiel. Go out the close-up. Click the open window. Darren doesn't think anyone could have climbed in through the window. Click again on the window to close the window. The bathtub is full of water. Click the bathtub and Darren notices that the water in the tub is scalding hot. Turn on the bath's water tap. The water from the tap is also hot and causes steam in the bathroom. Click Sally's corpse again. With her left indexfinger , Sally points to the tiles of the bathtub.... the steam now causes the letter B to appear on the tiles of the bathtub. Click that at that letter B tile...Does Sally mean BATES with that B...or are we being misled?

You automatically move out of the close-up and Darren turns off the tap again. Leave the bathroom and....Darren says he has to talk to Bates and then wants to leave the bathroom....But....the castle is on fire and Darren stays in the bathroom. You have to act quickly. Click with the cupboard under the mirror. Darren takes a towel from the drawer. Take the towel from inventory and click it on the bath to make the towel soaking wet.

Then leave the bathroom. Darren puts the wet towel over his face and then stands in the hallway.

There is smoke and fire everywhere, even the Great Hall is on fire. Go to the Great Hall.

Bates lies on the ground in front of the Globe. Darren walks over to Bates and turns him around.

Bates is still alive and Darren briefly talks to the old butler, who then dies. Darren closes Bates' eyes and then quickly leaves the burning castle.

Louis set the castle on fire, but says he is not responsible for the murders. Louis forces Darren into the car and we end up in the:

Louis has brought Darren to the Academy and Angelina appears.....Angelina is not dead, but she is the evil genius of this story.

Angelina committed the murders. Continue talking to your sister via all conversation options.

Angelina needs "the blood of a Gordon" to enter the Temple of Mordred in the Academy because she wants to summon the "Power of Mordred". The burned corpse at the lighthouse is Miss Valley's body, who was also murdered by Angelina, after which she burned the corpse in the hope that people would believe that it was Angelina's corpse. Angelina also has mother Cathrin in her power and she appears and we end up in the Secret Cave:

Darren has to do what Angelina told him to do because she and Louis are holding mother Cathrin at gunpoint. T

he Stone Plinth pillar is in the middle of the cave. The backpack and the oil lamp are still on the left. Now take the Oil Lamp.

Then, one by one, take the 3 Mosaic discs from inventory and click them on the stone Pillar.

Then take the Oil Lamp from inventory and also click on the pillar to place the lamp on the base of the pillar.

The oil lamp must be lit. On the left there is a Burning card in the torch holder on the wall. Take the candle from the holder.

A beam of light then shoots from the pillar to the circle in the Metal Gate. Angeline instructs Darren to open the gate now.

Cathrin screams that Darren shouldn't do it, but because Angelina threatens to shoot her mother to death,

There is a large grate in the back wall of the temple. There are 2 pillars to the left and right of the grate, so 2 on the left pillars and on the right 2 pillars. There are pressure plates (Paving slabs) in the floor at the pillars. There are 8 pressure plates in total, 4 on the left and 4 on the right. In the right corner is a closed Stone Door. and also in the left corner is a closed Stone Door. Number the pressure plates, from left to right, 1 to 8.

Click on the Grate and the 2 stone doors. Then talk to Angelina and ask her about the Pressure Plates and the grate.

You say to Angelina that someone has to stand on one of the pressure plates, but Angelina is not stupid enough to do that. Angelina says that Cathrin should stand on such a record. The idea is to open the large grate and to do this the 8 pressure plates must be pressed simultaneously. Unfortunately we are only 4 people, but Angelina and Louis above all refuse to stand on a pressure plate. Especially since there is a life-threatening ambush hanging on a rope above each pressure plate. Would you like to see such an ambush? Then click on 1 of the 8 pressure plates and....Darren go stand on a plate and....a huge block falls down and almost crushes Darren.

To the right of the large gate lies a Note. Take that Note. It is the "instruction manual" for the 8 printing plates.

Darren lists the symbols he sees on the note on the printing plates.

There is a symbol on each printing plate.

pressure plate 1 shows a flower.
pressure plate 2 shows a Door.
pressure plate 3 shows a knife.
pressure plate 4 shows a Sun.
pressure plate 5 shows Water.
pressure plate 6 shows a Door.
pressure plate 7 shows a concrete block
pressure plate 8 shows a Snowflake.
Pressure plate 2 opens the left Stone Door
Pressure plate 6 opens the right stone door.

Click on Pressure Plate 2 and....Darren stands on Pressure Plate 2 and this causes the left Stone Door to slide open.

Darren steps off plate 2 again and....the left Stone Door slides closed again. So someone has to stay on pressure plate 2 to hold the stone door open so that Darren can go through that door. Angelina has already refused to stand on the printing plates, so ask mother Cathrin. Click on Cahtrin with the talk cursor and ask her if she wants to stand on pressure plate 2.

Mother will then do this and the left Stone Door will open again. Mother remains on plate 2.

There are 4 text panels in the wall, 2 on the left and 2 on the right. There is a Mechanism in the middle.

Click, from left to right, on the 4 Text Panels. Darren reads a riddle on each og the 4 text panels.

Those 4 riddles each describe 1 of the 4 seasons and this will be noted down in Darren's diary.

Panel 1 describes a Snowdrop and is therefore about Spring. Panel 2 describes Fire and thus Summer. Panel 3 describes a Windmill and thus Autumn. Panel 4 describes a Snowflake and therefore Winter. So with Spring comes the Snowdrop. Summer is Fire. Windmill belongs to Autumn. Winter belongs to a Snowflake.

Click 2x on the Mechanism. The mechanism has a lot of symbols and.... you end up in the puzzle. There are again 4 windows and each window has a push button. The symbols are on 4 dials that you turn by clicking on the buttons.

You have to put the right symbol in the right window by clicking on the buttons. But if you click on 1 button, one of the other disks also spins. So not only do you have to rotate the right symbol in the right window, but you also have to click on the buttons in the right order,

1. Top button= Summer: Click on the top button until the Fire symbol is in the middle window.

2. Left button = Spring: Click on the left button until the Snowdrop appears in the middle window.

3. Bottom button = Winter: Click on the bottom button until the Snowflake appears in the middle window.

4. Right button = Autumn: Click on the right button until the Windmill is in the middle window.

You will automatically leave the puzzle and secret compartments will be opened in the 4 pillars.

Take a decorated Staff from 3 of the 4 secret pillar spaces.

Return to the Pressure Plate room via the bottom right:

Mommy Cathrin is still standing on pressure plate 2. Go Stand on Pressure plate 3, the knife plate.

But this has released a Knife and that Knife is now on Darren's floor. Take the Knife.

There is a hole in pressure plates 1, 4, 6 and 8 and we have taken 3 decorated Staffs from the left room.

Right-click on those 3 staffs in inventory. Darren then tells you that you have a yellow Spring Staff, a green Summer staff and a blue Winter staff.

Take the yellow Spring Staff from inventory and click with it on pressure plate 1 and....

Darren place the staff in the hole of the pressure plate. Stand on the plate for a moment to see that this plate is now deactivated

The pressure plates 1, 4 and 8 are now deactivated. Pressure plate 7 shows the Concrete Block Symbol. Darren still has to examine the right room. Pressure plate 6 has the door symbol and will open up the right Stone Door. Stand on plate 6. The right Stone Door then slides open but also closes again when Darren steps off the plate again. Now talk to Angelina and ask her if Cathrin can stand on Plate 6 and..... Angelina then sends Cathrin to Pressure Plate 6. This causes the left Stone door to close again, but the Right Stone door opens and remains open as long as Cathrin remains on plate 6.

We look down from above and into the depths at the floor of the pressure plate room. We see Angelina standing and Cathrin standing on plate 6. Darren is standing on the right edge. Huge weights hang on chains above the Pressure Plate room. The weights hang in a semicircle and a huge concrete block hangs in the middle. That concrete block hangs exactly above pressure plate 7.

Behind each chain you will see red and yellow symbols on the wall and there is always a rope next to those symbols. In the left wall niche you see 2 niches with Gearwheels and to the left of the entrance, where Darren is standing, there is a Panel (Description) in the wall. Click on that Panel and listen to what Darren says. The panel has symbols, levers and a button. Count those symbol series on the wall from left to right and then click with your eye cursor on the 4th symbol series.

Darren then walks over to look at those symbols and reports that these are the same symbols he saw on the Panel.

Now go back to the panel and click on it again......now you end up in the puzzle.

You cannot have this puzzle solved automatically, so you really have to do it yourself. Here's the solution.

On this panel you must set the symbols of the 4th row of symbols to the correct rope. You see scroll bars with symbols and white flip buttons in the middle.

On the left you see 2 ropes and on the right are 2 ropes. You must slide the slider bar symbols to the right or left so that the correct symbols appear between the left and right ropes. You can click the flip buttons left and right to indicate whether a symbol is on the left or right. The white button, bottom left, then brings a Spear or a Concrete Block into the window below the panel.

So a concrete block must be placed in that window. If you click on a scroll bar on the left, the bar will scroll to the left. If you click on a scroll bar on the right, the bar will slide to the right. Now move the bars until you have the correct symbols between the ropes, from top to bottom. Then click the flip buttons to the left or to the right to indicate whether a symbol is on the left or right and then click on the White Button and........ if you have set everything correctly, a Concrete Block will appear in the window.

You will automatically get out of the puzzle and Darren reports that he now knows which of the ropes he has to cut to make the large Concrete Block fall down onto Pressure Plate 7. That is the 3rd Rope from the right. Take the Knife from inventory and click with it on the 3rd Rope from the right. That is the rope that is to the right of the 2nd niche with gears.

Darren cuts that rope and runs back down and....The concrete block comes down and then rests on Pressure Plate 7 and now remains on it. Three more pressure plates need to be deactivated and this must be done by Darren, Louis and Angelina, all three of whom have to stand on a pressure plate.

Talk to Angelina again and tell her that Louis must stand on a pressure plate and.....

However, Louis does not want to be on the plate that Darren points out to him and wants to exchange with Darren.

So Louis stands on plate 5 and....that's a good thing because the trap of plate 5 was not deactivated.

Louis dies on plate 5, but the weight of his corpse continues to press on the plate.

Angelina is not sad about Louis' death and she go stand on plate 2, causing both stone doors to close again.

Darren goes on Plate 3 and All 8 plates are now deactivated and....the large Grate slides open.

At the front right of the large, now opened niche, there is a Holder and the round door in the niche is the Fire Gate.

Click the Fire Gate. Darren/Adrian reports that behind the door is Mordred's prison. Click 2x on the Holder.

Angelina shoots a bullet into the ground and activates the Holder herself. This causes the Fire Gate to start glowing and.....

Angelina forces Darren and Cathrin to follow her through the Fire Gate now and we then end up in Mordred's Fire Chamber. The large Mordred Book lies on an altar in the middle of the room. Angelina wil that Darren activates the Mordred Book with his blood but Darren refuses. To force Darren, Angelina shoots a bullet into Cahrin's stomach.

Cathrin jumps Angelina and screams for Darren to run. Darren runs back to the Printing Plate Room.

Quickly......click with the Exit cursor on the stairs at the bottom of the screen to return to the Secret Cave and to the exit/entrance of the Academy....

But unfortunately the Order has now also reached the Secret Cave and they are firing on Darren.

Darren tries to convince the Order boys that he is on their side, but to no avail. Darren runs back to the Pressure Plate Room.

Click again with the Exit cursor on the Fire Gate and.....watch the ending....

Darren is momentarily conflicted and literally between two fires. On the one hand there are those Order boys, who will enter the Pressure Plate Room at any moment, and on the other hand there is Angelina in the Mordred Room. What to do. There is a crack near the pillars, but there is also hot Lava and Darren does not want to jump down through the crack.

Darren then decides to take his chances with Angelina and goes back through the Fire Gate to the Mordred Chamber. Only Cathrin is left in the Mordred Room. Angelina is not visible. Darren is relieved, but Cathrin is dying from the bullet in her stomach. A long conversation follows between mother and son, but then Angelina appears again with her gun. Angelina now forces Darren to activate the Book with his blood. Darren starts reading the spell, while also giving himself a cut on his arm

Angelina starts to go into ecstasy and no longer pays attention to Cathrin, who sees her chance and jumps on Angelina.

Darren can't help it anymore....his arm, which now has blood coming out of it, comes over the magic book and....Darren's blood now activates the book......

A fire appears and.....Darren goes crazy.....or has he now transformed into.....Mordred?
