Chapter 6: Montserat: 

A: Cable Car station

Forecourt of the monastery:

You are George.

There are 3 armed guards on / near the steps of the monastery. Left of Nico, George and Eva is the door where they came out. At the bottom right, near the lamppost, is the stairs to the cable car station .....Click with your mouth on one of the guards ..... George then walks over to the guards and is told that it is monastery complex is closed due to the outbreak of a disease among the monks. So we are not allowed in the monastery. Walk back to Nico and Eva ..... you can go talk to Nico and then ask her if she also wants to try to get past the guards, but Nico will also have no success. So double-click the Exit at the bottom right (Stairs), near the lamppost and .... we end up on the walkway to the cable Car station building:

Outside: 

Duan and Pearl Henderson:

Double-click with your index finger on the blue front door of the building and ......

we continue to the front door and .... just when we want to go inside, Nico screams that a cabin has arrived and ..... It is Gehnen .... 

Nico, George and Eva quickly hide behind the tree and .... Gehnen appears with one of his men.

Gehnen orders his men to block all routes to the monastery and that Marguès should be further questioned. 

Gehnen disappears and Eve goes after him ... George and Nico will look for another route up. 

You are still George. Double click on the blue door again .... Unfortunately ... we cannot enter because the door is locked and a code is required. 

Walk to the left side of the building. You see a yellow cable cabin hanging on the cables and there is a Telescope

View the Cable that the cabin is hanging on with your eye. View the yellow Cable Car..... the cabin hangs halfway and isn't moving .... A Glint is glistening in the cabin) .... View what is glistening in the yellow cabin (Glint) ..... George can't see what it is that shines like that .... the cabin is too far away. But fortunately there is the Telescope.

Click with your gears on the Telescope .... it costs nothing to peek through the telescope ...... You look through the Telescope and see the rear of the ground station building of the cable car. You can shift the lens to the left, right, up or down ,the game explains how to do this. Click on the left-hand side of the telescope lens with your left mouse ... you will get the grabbing hand .... Press and hold your left mouse and then drag the  lens to the left until you see the rock ....Then raise the lens a little, until you see a Rock Face carved into the rock

Click with your eye on the Rock Face........ George thinks this face can also be seen in the "La Malediccio" painting ... it is the face in the Ouroboros ....

Now George believes that the Tabula is not at all found in the monastery but in the rock of the Stone Face ..... Langham / Gehnen cannot know this because his copy of "La Malediccio" is a fake and on the fake painting this face isn't there. You automatically go out the telescope. Click the Telescope again and drag the lens to the right .... follow the cables from the cable car to the yellow cabin and then make sure you have a complete view of the cabin and ....

It is unbelievable .... there are 2 passengers stuck in the cabin and .... they are Duane and Pearl Henderson ..... 

Click in the lens again your eye on "Glint" and ... George recognizes the couple

The sparkle is because Pearl Henderson is signaling with a mirror ......... Click the "Glint" spot again ..... George must give the Henderson's an answer signal. Move the lens up a little and then look at the Cable Runner with your eye and listen to George. Click the blue arrow to exit the telescope. Take the car Side Mirror from inventory and click it on the Glint spot of the cable cabin to answer Pearl's signal .....

However, George cannot tell whether Pearl has seen his signal. Look through the Telescope again and ..... now the lens moves automatically to the yellow cabin and we see that Pearl writes something on the window with her lipstick ..... Pearl writes that she and Duane are stuck in the cabin and that the access code for the access door of the station is 0797.

You automatically go out close-up again. Now double-click again with your pointing hand on the blue front doors of the building and ....

George and Nico walk back to the front of the building, George put in the code 0797 and ..... we end up in the

Cable Car station:

At the counter there is a Lunch Box on the floor and there is also a deep Cupboard. Right next to the entrance doors, the large Gogs, that drives the cable cabin, are in the floor and the wall. On the left is the cable car's Control Center and there you will find a Console and a Lever and in one of those cabinets there is a Hatch.

Take the Lunch Box ..... It is a closed "talking lunch box" because we hear someone shout "Let me OUT !!!!!". The lunch box is locked .... George has to break the box open. Click with your gears on the Cupboard door ....... the cupboard is locked but there is no lock and someone screams from inside the cupboard "GO AWAY" ....... 

there is a girl locked up in the cupboard. Click with your mouth on the cupboard door to talk to the person locked up in the cupboard ...... the girl does not want to come out of the cupboard .... we have to convince her that it is safe to come out . Walk to the left, to the consoles, and then click with your gear on the left console ......

George finds it complicated and there is no electricity and it smells like burnt rubber. Click with your gear on the Lever ...... George pushes the lever down and this causes the gears, on the right, to move. Click with your gears on the Hatch that's on the front of the consoles ..... George turns around and opens the hatch and peeks in and we see the complex and dangerous electrical wire structure of the consoles ... ..George quickly gets out of the close-up again. Open the inventory and then combine the Paperclip with the Lunch Box ........but .... with the paperclip George does not get the lunch box open .... more violence is needed. Walk to the right, to the gears and place the Lunch Box between the Gogs ...

Walk back to the console and use the Lever again and ..... George pushes that lever down again and .... the gears open the lunch box.

Walk back to the gears and then click with your hand on the now opened lunch box and ..... 

George picks up a radio from the box and has direct contact with Duane and Pearl in the cabin .....Pearl says that the girl in the cupboard is called Kat and that she is the "operator" of the cable car. Take the radio from inventory and click it on the cupboard door and ....... 

Pearl talks to Kat via the radio and she convinces the girl that George is a friend and that it is safe to come out of the closet and, after Pearl has hummed a tune from the Kat's favorite musical she comes out of the closet. Kat then takes George to the hatch in the console and she explains to George what he has to do to fix the console ....

 ......a fuse has blown, so that fuse needs to be repaired, but that thing is all the way at the back and George doesn't want to put his arm in because of all those wires. Walk back to the Gogs. On the housing of the front Gog there is now some Jam, which is shot out of the lunch box. Use the Paperclip on the Jam and you will then have a Sticky Paperclip.

Walk back to the front of the consoles and zoom in again on the opened hatch. George looks in the console again. At the bottom of your screen you see the blown fuse (Prongs) ..... Click on that fuse with your eye and listen to George ....... George has to repair that fuse but he can't reach it. In the matchbox George still has Trevor, the Cockroach, which he caught in the Vera Security. You have now also lubricated the Paperclip with sticky Jam. Combine in inventory the Sticky Paper Clip with the Matchbox / Cockroach ........ George sticks the paperclip on cockroach Trevor's back. Take the matchbox from inventory and click with it on the Front of the console hole .....

George puts the matchbox in the front of the hatch hole ..... Now Trevor still has to be lured to that blown fuse .....

Take the Piece of Rich Tea Biscuit from inventory and click with the biscuit on the blown Prongs and .... 

George throws the biscuit to the fuse and ..... Trevor crawls out the matchbox and hops underneath all threads to the biscuit and .....

the paper clip gets stuck between the 2 points of the fuse and this has repaired the fuse .......

...... Trevor survives the shock and crawls back to his safe matchbox ....... The console has power again and Kat raises the cabin after she has first dropped off Pearl and Duane in the lower station. George and Nico and then go down and they end up, behind the lower station, at the foot of the Stone View, at the entrance of the Chapel:

B: Chapel:

You are now Nico:

We are upstairs, in front of the upper entrance of the Chapel .... it's a gate door. Duane and Pearl have already entered the chapel below. Downstairs is also a door, which can be reached via a staircase. Click with your index hand on the gate door and ..... we are going inside, where Pearl and Duane Henderson are already ....... Pearl is quite sad because her vacation has fallen quite into the water. 

You are now George again ......George and Nico are in the hall opening. To the left is a cove with a Wall of Rock. There is also a Stone Carving on the wall and there is a Crank Handle on the left column .... That Crank Handle controls the chain of a chandelier. To the right is a pile of wood shavings and there is a scaffolding on the wall because there is a renovation going on here

Walk to the left side of the cove. George ends up at a small altar .... there is a Builder's Mug on ​​the altar and a Black Madonna statue hangs on the rock wall. There is also a Candelabra hanging from the ceiling whose candles do not burn ..... With the Crank Handle the candelabra can be lowered and raised. Look at the Madonna, the drinking cup, the altar, the chandelier, the Stone Engraving and the Crank handle ........ Although this chapel is a few centuries old, the altar is very modern. 

When you have seen everything here on the left, you walk to the right, to Duane and Pearl ..... 

Duane tries to comfort Pearl and he always whistles a certain tune.

On the bottom shelf of the scaffolding is a can of Turpentine .... You can move George onto the balcony but don't do this yet .... 

First go talk to Duane and ask him everything you can, but especially ask about: "Duane", "Pearl", "Santa Cavo Chapel" and "Spiritual Experience" ......

Pearl and Duane are here on a pilgrimage ..... Pearl knows everything about the chapel, but as long as she's crying, we can't talk to her ..... We have to make sure that Pearl gets her "Spiritual Experience",  then we can talk to her afterwards. Duane breaks off the conversation to comfort his Pearl again and he whistles that tune again ....

Talk to Duane again and ask him now about that Whistling tune that he whistles and also about the Black Madonna ....

Duane always whistles a piece from "Ava Maria" by Schubert. Then close the conversation. When Duane whistles the piece "Ave Maria" you see the musical notes ... they are the notes "G, F #, G, B, A, G". To the right behind the scaffolding is a large metal Toolbox. Click with your gears on the Toolbox to open the thing and then click in with your grip and .......

George takes a Mason Hammer from the coffin. Also take the Turpentine can from the scaffold. 

There are some Wood Shavings in the hall ... Take some of those Wood Shavings.

Click with your gears on the scaffolding ..... George shakes the scaffolding back and forth for a moment and this causes a "soft sound" because everything on the scaffolding shakes a little. George now has to use the hammer and the stuff hanging on the scaffold to play that "Ave Maria" tune.  There are 2 paint cans hanging on the scaffold. There is an oil barrel in front of the scaffold and a fire extinguisher leans against the it. Call the left-hanging paint can Paint Can A and the right-hanging paint can you call Paint Can B

Take the Mason's Hammer from inventory and click on paint can A ..... the left paint can makes the "A" note. Click with the hammer on paint can B ..... the it also sounds as an "A". Click with the hammer on the fire extinguisher and on the oil barrel .....the fire extinguisher makes the "B" note and the oil barrel the G note ....

We still have to find the "F" note ...... Click anywhere in the screen, outside the scaffolding, to store the Hammer. 

Then take the Turpentine from inventory and pour it into paint can B ... 

then hit with the hammer again on paint can A  and then on paint can  B and ....

 well ... the right paint tin B now produces the "F" note.

... you know the sequence of the notes of the "Ave Maria" tune and you know that Paint Can A makes the A tone, Paint can B makes the F tone, the fire extinguisher makes the B tone and the oil barrel makes the G tone. So hit with  your hammer successively on the: oil barrel, paint can B, the oil barrel, the fire extinguisher, paint can A, the oil barrel and ..... 

When you do this well then Nico takes over and plays the attributes like an accomplished chime player with her mop .......

NB: Nico will now continue to "play" the "Ave Maria", and you, as George, mustn't linger because then Nico will stop playing the Ave Maria and you have to do it yourself again so that Nico then takes over again ..... So in the next part you should not linger anywhere too long ..... 

So you are George ....Walk back to the left, to the altar. Now click on the Crank Handle with your cogwheels to lower the chandelier. 

Walk to the chandelier ..... Take the loose matches again from inventory and light the candles of the chandelier with it

Then take the Side Mirror from inventory and click it on the Chandelier ..... George puts the mirror on the chandelier but the mirror needs to be tied up. So take the ball of  Yarn, which George once got from Fleur, from inventory and use it to attach the mirror to the chandelier.

Combine in inventory the "Eau de Toilette" with the Wood Shavings ..... George spray the perfume over the wood shavings. 

Take the perfumed Wood shavings (Potpourri) from inventory and put them in the Builder's Mug, which is on the altar. 

Then light the Wood shavings with your Matches and ...... 

a sweet scent, similar to incense, spreads through the chapel and reaches Pearl ... 

click the Cranck Handle again to hoist the chandelier back up and ...... well ..... see what happens ....

Pearl "wakes up" and walks to the now "crying" Madonna and she has her "Spiritual Experience".... Now you can talk to Pearl wisely, so do it now and ask her about "Black Madonna", "Santa Cova", the "Hobbs's Sketch" and "La Malediccio" ....... .George shows Pearl the Hobbs sketch and the La Malediccio painting

Pearl says that there must be an Ouroboros somewhere in the chapel, but that the thing is covered over during an earlier renovation ..... 

Pearl and Duane then disappear to continue their journey. 

Walk back to the altar ... Right next to the Madonna we now see an Recess in the rock wall ..... Look at that Recess with your eye ..... there is a Latin word scratched above the opening and George reads that word .... the word is "Purity". Take the hammer from inventory again and hit the altar with it

George breaks the wall in the altar and ... we have found the Ouroboros ........the thing sticks like a ring in the wall ..... Click with your gear on the Ouroboros and ......... 

George pushes the thing but ..... nothing happens ..... Would that word "Purity" have something to do with it?

Walk back to the right, to all the candles where Pearl was whining at, and now grab a jar with a burning candle.

Walk back to the Madonna and put the jar with the candle in the recess...

George had blown out the candle before putting it in his pocket, so light it again with your matches ...... 

Now push those Ouroboros back in and ......... in the rock wall a secret passage will open and ..... 

George and Nico take the secret passage and we end up in the:

C: Santa Cova Cave:

So we are now behind the Stone Face and it is dark here and the door is sliding shut ..... George provides a little bit of light but we are locked up now ..... Nico is trying, fruitless, to open the close door while you explore the cave as George ..... you have to find light .....

Move your cursor to the right over your dark screen until you get the eye cursor on the "Wall" ...... Then click and .... George walks on and touches the wall with his hands and tells something about it. Move your cursor to the right again, until you get the eye cursor on a "Tall Thing" .... Click again and George walks over and touches the thing and says that the thing has branches, like a tree. Move your cursor further to the right until you get the eye cursor on a "Smooth Stone" and then click again .... George walks on again to touch the smooth stone ..... the stone feels cold and smooth on.

Further to the right with your cursor and ... you will get your eye on a "Big Thing" ... Click the eye cursor on "Big Thing" and George walks over to touch it ... ... Even further to the right you get the eye cursor on a "Stone Object"..... Click that "Stone Object" with your eye cursor and ..... George touches it and says it's a stone is with a hole with liquid in it ..... Click again with your eye on the "Stone Object" .... George now tells that he feels a large bowl with some oily liquid in it ...is it Oil or a Candle ?? ..... Now take your last remaining Match from inventory and click it on the "Stone Object" and ..... George sets the oil on fire and ...... we have light and ..... We have found Gehnen, the ancestor of Langham / Gehnen.

Listen to George and Nico ..... they discuss what they see here in the cave ...... The Gehen's Corpse is bent at the stone table with his head and hands on a map. The Lamp is in front of the corpse and there is a red "Ankh" key on the table. George is standing in front of a round niche with a statue on a pedestal. Nico is looking at the Tabula Carving  witch has Carved Figures with a carved Ankh between them .... Below the 2 figures and the Ankh are even more Carved Figures.

View the statue in the niche and everything about the wall relief ...... The statue in the niche is of course Mary Magdalene and the 2 figures in the wall relief are Jehovah and Lucifer. Click with your magnifying glass on the Gehnen corpse, or the stone table, to get into close-up .... George feels some disgust but it is necessary ....

View the Lamp and read the Inscription under the lamp ..... "Out of Light-Truth"  George reads aloud. Grab the red Ankh (Artifact) ...... this Ankh is the Tabula Veritas and you see the thing in close-up when George shows the thing to Nico ..... You automatically return in the close-up of the corpse. Underneath the Map, where Gehnen is, a Photo is stuck ..... Take the Photograph ... it's a photo of a Stone Tablet and you see the thing big in your screen. On the Tabled are the symbols that are also on the Ankh and Gehnen has translated those symbols. Click the blue arrow to store the tablet in inventory .....Look at the corpse with your eye ..... If this is Gehnen then he has been dead for centuries .... the corpse has a bullet hole, so George concludes that Gehnen has committed suicide with the gun, that's on the table to the left of the corpse.

Get the gun ..... the gun is completely rusted. Grab the Map, via the gripping hand on the corpse's hand .....

You get to see the card in close-up ...... Gehnen has written a text on the card and George reads the text aloud.

Store the Map in inventory but immediately take it out (Gehnen's Map again and click it on the lamp and ...

The original text on the map disappears but instead letters appear on the map ... they are the letters a, b, c, d and they indicate 4 locations .... these letters / locations are also on the photo that you have just taken from under the card. Put the Map away again and open the inventory. Now combine the Tabula Veritatis Ankh with the Gehnen photo ..

Tabula puzzle:

NB: I could not find any logic explanation for  this puzzle .... If you can't figure it out, please use the Hints via the hint system of the game.

The game gives you an explanation again about what to do and how to do it ... click "Continue" to continue. So at the top, in the 2 red bars, are the Symbols that stand on the Ankh. Under the red bars is the Tablet with the symbols and their translations. On the right is a list of words ... that list has 3 pages and you now see page 1 of the list ... by clicking on the gray area, below the list, you scroll to the next page and back to a previous page.

what should you do?????     You must link the Tabula Symbols, which are in the red bars, to the correct words in the list. But the symbols in the 2 red bars are only a small part of the symbols on the tabled ..... It becomes much too complicated to explain this puzzle in detail and again ....... If there's  some logic to it all then I could not discover it ..... You can look for the solution via the hints system of the game, but if you do, you still have to solve the puzzle. 

So look up the meaning / translation of the Tabula Symbols in the image of the Tablet and then link the symbol to the correct word from the list .... 

you do this by clicking on a Tabula symbol and then on the corresponding word in the list.....

From top left to bottom right the meaning of the symbols is:

"Begin, Sun City, Travel, Five, Day, East, River, Travel, South, Six, Day, Desert, Source, Four, River".

George then reads the text aloud and .....

.......you go out of the puzzle and George tells Nico what he has found and marks a few locations on the map.

Nico has also discovered something .... Nico presses a button, in the Ankh on the wall .... we hear "Click" but nothing else happens ....

Zoom in again on the table, or on the Lamp or on the corpse, to get back to its close-up. The Lamp has a Filligreen frame and that frame has 3 "eyes". 

Take the Medallion from inventory and place the thing in the upper "eye" of the lamp frame and ...

 through the medallion a ray of red light is sent to the Lucifer statue on the wall .... Listen to George and Nico ...... If you had already looked at the Maria statuette in the niche with your eye then you now get the cogwheels on it .... You have to turn Maria now, so that she faces her right .... Click Maria once .... George turns Maria 1 turn to the right ...Find, in the Ankh wall, the Secret Button and click on it with your gears ......

You hear "click" again and then a Rumble sound. Zoom again in on the lamp. Take the Medallion from the upper "eye" and place the thing in the right "eye".

Get out of the close-up ..... the red beam of light now shines at the Jehovah statue on the wall. Go back to the Maria image and turn Maria twice now, by clicking on her twice with your cogwheels ..... Maria then looks to the left. Click again on the Secret Button in the Ankh .... again you hear "Click" and "rumble". Zoom in again on the lamp and place the Medallion in the left "eye" ..... 

get out of the close-up again .... The red light now falls on the series of Carved Relief, under Jehovah, the Ankh and Lucifer. 

Turn the Maria statue again 1 time ..... Maria then looks straight ahead again. 

Click on the Secret Button again and ........ the door, back in the cave, now finally opens and

Nico walks to the door, so click the EXIT and .... George screams that he first has to get the medallion back from the lamp. 

So zoom in again on the table or the lamp and then grab the medallion out of the left eye of the lamp.

Get out of the close-up and click again in the opened exit door and .... we end back up in the:

D: Chapel:

Langham / Gehnen is here and he holds Eva and her father hostage ...... Marqués refuses to tell where the Tabula is and so Langham threatens Eva ....

George and Nico see all of this from the secret passage ... still unseen by Langham and his gooney

Take the revolver from inventory and click on it with Langham / Gehnen ... ...... 

the revolver of course does not work and Langham knows this so George has no choice but to surrender. George hands over the useless gun to Langham who then wants to know if George has the Tabula .... You must now choose between the truth and the lie .... Choose now to lie, so click the "Lies" option

Langham, however, does not believe it and threatens to kill Marqués ..... Now choose the truth, so click the "Truth" option and ....... 

George hands over the Tabula to Langham, who then shoots old Margués and then leaves and he takes Eva with him. Margués is dying but before he dies he tells George the location of the "4 rivers" ...it is the "Garden of Eden" and Langham is going there with Eve ...... Marqués then dies 

We have to go after Langham, so try if you can leave the chapel through the front door ..... 

but that is not possible because Langham has left his "muscles" behind to make sure that Nico and George cannot leave the chapel.

Meanwhile Nico walked to the right G to Nico and talk to her and .... Nico will then try to seduce the guard to let them go .....but  that also does not work. Stand on the outside balcony and listen to George. From the balcony, which is hanging on the side of the chapel, we see the guard standing by the front door. Underneath George is the wooden door and it is locked with a padlock. There is also a Drainpipe hanging on the façade and that drainpipe ends in a Drain. A wooden rack hangs above George.

Click with your gear on the drainpipe ..... George climbs on the drainpipe and you can then let George climb up and down ......

Climb down ... George climbs all the way down and then stands with his feet on the drain.

Take the radio from inventory and click it on the Drain ....

George puts the radio in the drain and explains to Nico what the intention is and then he climbs up again ...... Then Nico screams through the radio and the guard thinks Nico is down and he walks down to the lower door and then he peeks over the wall ..... Quick .... Take the Hammer from inventory and quickly click it on the guard and .....

George climbs a little higher and then drops the hammer on the guard's head who then drops down unconscious.

NB .... if you were you too slow then the guard goes up again .... Then climb into the chapel again and go talk to Nico and George tells Nico to use the radio again. Then quickly go back to the balcony and climb back into the drainpipe and wait until Nico, via the two-way radio, lures that guard back to the bottom door ..... Then take the Hammer out of inventory again and quickly click on the guard when it is again in front of the bottom door and peeks over the wall ....

Enter the chapel again and through the balcony and click on the front door again and .....

George and Nico leave the chapel and then they jump on the cable car cabin that is just going up .....

E: Cable car troubles:

George and Nico are standing on a ledge, on the outside of the cabin, and the thing is going up .... with difficulty they keep there balance on the ledge, but something has to be done quickly. Take the ball of Yarn from inventory again and click it on the cabin door that is on the right side .... George succeed in open the cabin door using the ball of wool. Click with your gear on the door and .......

George ends up in the cabin but Nico is still outside. At the window, through which we see Nico, sticks a Window Catch ..... click with your gear on the handle ..

George tries to push the window down but the window is stuck and then ....... the cabin is attacked and Nico ..... falls down ........ Medovsky and his "gardener" Shears are coming down with the other cabin and they have killed Nico? Medovsky enters George's cabin and he wants his "La Malediccio" painting back ........ and he is also rather pissed off because George has stolen his valuable coin and he threatens to shoot George

We then switch to Nico, who is neither dead nor has she fallen down .... Nico hangs at a bar at the under the cabin and we see Shears in the other cabin. Well .... Nico has managed to "seduce" Shears before, so why should that not work again .... Click with your mouth on Shears and ...... Nico screams to Shears for help ... ..Shears, who is an amateur philosopher, does not want to lend a helping hand to Nico but he does want to talk to her for a moment ..... Shears wants to know if Nico beliefs if  "own free will" exists .....

You must now convince Shears that he indeed has free will and that he does not have to slavishly carry out Medovsky's orders ..... You must do this by talking to Shears in the right way ... .... use the "Shears" option twice and then continue with "Free Will", "Chelsea", "Topiary", 2 times "Determinism", "Medovsky", 2 times "Henry" and then "Redemption" and ..... Nico has success and Shears shoots down his boss Medovsky and ..... 

after the video we are then in the upper cable car station .......

Shears offers to take us all to the Garden of Eden in Iraq with Medovsky's jet.

George has a dream in which Marqués, priest Simeon, and Hobbs are battling about which religion is the right one.

Marques tells George that he must keep the balance and that he has the power to do that. George wakes up on the plane, when we arrive in Iraq, with the medallion in his hand
