Chapter 7: Day 3 part two
As Grace
Hotel:
We start this block in the hotel room. Lave the room and you see Buchelli coming out of Madeline's room and ...... Buchelli now has the rolled up newspaper and goes to his room with it.
Go back into your room and you start Sidney again:
Le Serpent Rouge riddle 10: Scorpio:
Read "Le Serpent Rouge" part Scorpio and ask Grace for hints. Then start Sidney and ........ Sidney beeps that new Email has been received ........ you can see that at the top right of the screen because NEW E-MAIL flickers. So click on the EMAIL button and then on RE: "Temple of Solomon" ..... The e-mail contains a sketch of the Temple Diagram.
You see that the temple consists of a long rectangle that is divided into 3 parts. The middle part is the largest and that is the "Sanctuary". The upper and lower parts of the long rectangle are thus 2 equally large squares and the upper part is the "Holiest of Holies". Ask Grace for a hint ...... Grace must now draw on the card to see the middle part and then determine the exact middle of the "Holiest of Holies".
Put the Map back on the screen, via the Analyze button. So you see on the right-hand map the drawing as you have left it in Libra. In the circle you see the 2 vertical black lines of the TEMPLE WALLS and you see the gray horizontal lines of the 8 by 8 chessboard. We must count the blue horizontal lines of the square. What you have to do now is to place a dot on the intersections of BOTH BLACK HORIZONTAL LINES, with the 3rd horizontal line and the 7th horizontal line, counted from above
When you have put these 4 dots on the map then you click again on START ANALYSIS and ....... Sidney now draws 2 black connecting lines (horizontal) between these 4 points. This means that the large black rectangle is now divided into three pieces as mentioned in the email. The rectangle now consists of a large middle part and 2 small squares. 1 above and 1 below. The upper square is the "Holiest of Holies" and Grace has to determine the exact center of it ..... On the right map you now click exactly in the middle of the top square and on the left map you put on that spot , at "Pech Cardou", a green dot and then you press Start Analysis again .......
Grace has thus determined the exact middle of the "Holy of Holies" and that is on Mt. Cardou. Grace note down the coordinates and there are now 2 new areas on the map that you can go to now. Look in your Inventory and you will find the coordinates of this new place.
Exit Sidney and go to the Dining Room and listen to a conversation between Lady Howard and Estelle about a possible find of Egyptian art treasures around here.
Go get the Harley and ........... On the map you will now see two new locations: "Northeast (NE) Arm of Hexagram" and "Southwest (SW) Arm of Hexagram".
These two locations are on the NO and SE side of the map. First go to the
Northeast Arm of Hexagram (Mt. Cardou):
On arrival Grace tells that she is actually in the wrong place. Examine the fence here and you will find a note.
Take the note and Grace reads what is written on it and then puts it in her back pocket. There's nothing else her so click on the Harley and now go to:
Southwest Arm of Hexagram:
When you arrive here you will notice that it is a large area with a number of paths. Most of these paths, however, bring you back to your motorcycle. Use the camera to search this area. You have to find a cave in a corner, behind the big boulders, the entrance of which is blocked with rocks. Near the entrance of this cave you will find Wilkes's handkerchief.
Pick up Wilkes's handkerchief and examine it. Then open your Inventory and read the Coordinates for this point.
Select the Coordinates Device (from Mosely) and click on Grace to get the small screen.
Probably Grace finds the right place right away ....... but she does not put a X in the sand because the place is under the rocks.
Select the shovel again in inventory and then click with the Shovel icon on the boulders ......
Grace will pick up the shovel from the Harley again and she will "open" up the entrance. Another note is stuck to the wall in the cave. Grab the note and Grace reads it aloud again.
Grace refuses to enter the cave. She would rather leave that to macho Gabe. It is time to find the "Holiest of Holies". So look for the Harley again and drive to the "C. de Blanchefort" parking lot.
Mt. Cardou:
Grace parks the Harley on the "C de Blanchefort" parking. Turn around so that you look across the road. You see a bridge.
Cross the road and cross the bridge. NB: If you did not put the green dot in the middle of the top square (the Holiest or Holiest) on the map in Sidney, Grace refuses to go over the bridge because she does not know she has to. Grace comes in an area with trees and rocks. On a tree she finds a note again. Take the note ......
Grace read the note again and put it back in her back pocket ...... Then click again with the Coordinate Device on Grace. Check the Coordinates for the center of the Temple and let Grace walk around. The right point is in the back, so past the tree where Grace found the note and then to the right...
When Grace is close by she will mark the right spot again with an X.
Get the shovel again and click on the X ........ Grace is going to pick up the Shovel again from the Harley and start digging, but the ground is too hard here so she gives it up. Go back to the Harley but do not click on it. Back at the Harley you go all the way up to the top of C. de Blanchefort, via the right path. Stand in the middle of the ruin, take the binoculars out of your Inventory and .........
Point the binoculars at the Orange Rock and make sure that the 50 Zoom is activated and zoom then in on the Orange Rock ........ Grace sees Buchelli's moped standing there.
Because of this, this orange rock is also available as a place where you can go now. Go back to the Harley and drive now to the:
Orange Rock
Buchelli's engine is gone. Enter the "green" path that goes up along the rock and follow this path all the way back.
The path is a dead end and here Grace finds a newly dug hole in the sand.
Grab the shovel and click it in the graph. Grace goes back to the Harley to retrieve the shovel and then she digs up what Buchelli has buried here .... it is ..... The stolen Manuscript by Larry Chest ...
Grace put the manuscript in the back pocket ........ Examine the manuscript on fingerprints in your inventory. You'll find three fingerprints on the cover .........
Copy the 3 fingerprints each on a piece of tape and then click them each on a piece of paper ...... you can scan them later into Sidney and compare them with the fingerprints that are already present in Sidney's Suspects list. Back to the Harley and now go to the Lady Howard / Estelle Site and see how Estelle is still digging . Talk to Estelle .........
Back to the Harley and drive back to
Rennes-Le-Château.
After Grace has put the Harley back in the courtyard, first go to the Tour Magdala for a "friendly" chat with bitch Madeline, who is on the lookout on top of the tower. Then go back to the hotel and inside. You will see a scene between Jean and Prince James who has just arrived. Prince James speaks to Grace because he would have liked to speak to Gabe right away,
Grace hasn't been able to give the manuscript to Gabe, so Gabe tells a lie and Prince James leaves the hotel to stay in villa Bethania ....
Emilio Baza is in the seating area and you can talk to him. Go upstairs and back in room 25 and start Sidney again.
Sidney
Via ADD DATA scan all the fingerprints you just found into Sidney.
You can then try to Match the three fingerprints Match with fingerprints that are already in Sidney. This only works if you have linked all the fingerprints found so far to a Suspect. So scan in the 3 fingerprints you found on the Manuscript. Then open these 3 files one by one and then choose "Match Prints".
No surprise here, Sidney "tells" that these fingerprints belong to: Mosely, Buthane and Buchelli. We continue with:
Le Serpent Rouge riddle 11: Ophiuchus:
Read this riddle in "Le Serpent Rouge" and ask again for hints.
Then click Add Data and scan in Emilio's "SUM" note if you have not done that before.
Then open the "SUM" file in the "File" section of Sidney and select TRANSLATE. Choose "Latin to English" as the language.
Sidney translates it and says that this Latin word means "I AM". Back in the "Main Menu" screen, open the "Et in Arcadia Ego" file. This was automatically saved by Sidney when you searched for hidden words in the postcards of the museum. Translate this sentence again from Latin into English. Sidney will warn you that additional text is needed. Click on "Yes" to do this and then add the word "SUM" at the end of "Et in Arcadia Ego" so that it says "Et in Arcadia Ego Sum".
Return to the "MAIN MENU" and select ANALYSIS and OPEN FILE and open the "Et in Arcadia Ego file" again. With this phrase on the screen, press the START ANALYSIS button and Sidney will suggest that you do a Anagram test. Select the ANAGRAM finder from the TEXT menu at the top of the screen.
In the anagram window you use the Latin words, which you see in the left part of the screen, the following sentence: "Arcam dei tango" by clicking on these 3 words.
This means as much as: "I touch the tomb of God". Sidney will now automatically search on the last 4 letters of the anagram and complete the sentence with "IESU" (Jesus).
The complete English sentence thus becomes: "I touch the tomb of God, Jesus".
Le Serpent Rouge riddle 12: Sagittarius:
Read this first again and again ask for hints.
Still in Sidney you choose the Analysis function again and you open the map again. Choose "Enter Points" again because you now have to get the "Red Serpent" on the map. It has the same shape as the one on the cover of the "Le Serpent Rouge" document. On the right map you see, just above the "Holiest of Holies", so at Ch. the Serras, a dotted line. That dotted line is a railway that ends in a loop on the left above the Château.
Now put 3 Green Dots on the railway on the left-hand map ...... 1 dot on the Loop of the railway line, 1 dot in the Middle of the railway line and 1 dot on the beginning of the railway line at Château Serras.
The beginning of the line is the "Serpents Tale" (at Château Serras) and the end (the Loop) is the "Serpent Heads". Once you have put these 3 Green Dots on the map click the "Start Analysis" button again and the Snake is drawn. Grace comments on it. Close Sidney.
Grace now reads the last piece of "Le Serpent Rouge" automatically.
Mosely comes in and says that Gabe has a meeting in the dining room and this time block is then ended.
As Gabriël
This time block starts in the dining room. Gabriel and Grace and the 3 persons which are suspected of having stolen the manuscript are here. So these are: Mosely; Buthane and Buchelli. Gabe now wants to know the truth. During the discussion you have to point out the suspects in the right order and Grace must answer how and where she found the manuscript. If you designate the suspects in the right order, they will tell you their secret motives one by one. If you have the wrong order, they will tell you nothing.
So point them in this order: Mosely; Buthane and Buchelli. When Grace is asked how she found the manuscript you answer that she witnessed how Buchelli buried the manuscript by clicking on the Shovel icon. When the meeting in the dining room has ended, you go back to Gabriel's room to talk with Grace about her findings
Remember that Gabriel absolutely must have the manuscript, because he has to give this to Prince James. So if you, as Grace, have forgotten to dig up the Manuscript, tell Gabriel now where he can find it so that you can let him go to the Orange Rock to dig it up.
Do you remember that Prince James told Grace that he wants to speak with Gabriel? So leave the hotel and go to the Bethania villa.
Villa Bethania:
Go to the front door and knock on it. If you do not have the manuscript with you now, you will not be aloud to enter..... you will first have to get the manuscript. I assume that you do have the manuscript.. Talk to Prince James about all topics, but especially about the manuscript, negotiations and priory treasure.
Gabe leaves the villa after the interview. Go get the Harley and drive now to:
Château de Serras:
Gabriel parks the Harley outside in front of the gate. Go to the fence, click on it and choose the "Climb" icon. Gabe climbs over the fence and lands in the courtyard .......
The scary butler comes out. Gabe tells an excuse and then Montreaux comes out. Montreaux takes Gabe to the wine cellar.
After a brief conversation, in which Gabe cuts himself on the broken wine bottle, Gabriel runs away
Gabriel is outside again. Go to the garage and open the small side door. A car comes up the forecourt. It is a red sedan....
It is very dark in the garage, so click on the light button to turn on the light. Then look up at the ceiling beams and zoom in and ..........
Bats are hanging from the beams and they scare Gabe who sneaks back out but is then discovered by the butler. The men of the red Sedan recognize Gabe as "the man from the train" and Gabe runs to the Harley and escapes, but the red sedan follows him. End of this time block.
as Grace:
Leave the hotel room and listen in the hallway to the other room doors using the glass. Then go downstairs and talk to Simone in the lobby and ask her about Gabriel. In the dining room you can meet Mosely, Buthane and Buchelli together. Estelle is sitting in the lobby. Leave the hotel and go to the Motorcycle Rental and zoom in on the sidecar moped of Estelle and Howard. Estelle's water bottle is on the luggage carrier of the sidecar. Select the Fingerprint box in your inventory and then click the fingerprint icon on the water bottle and look for a fingerprint on the bottle. You will find one and this is of course from Estelle. Return to the hotel room and start Sidney.
Sidney:
You will now receive an e-mail about the symbols on the Robe's by Montreaux. Open this mail and click on the to read it. Then do ADD DATA and scan the fingerprint of Estelle and link the print of Estelle to Estelle in the Suspect file. In the FILE menu, click on the LSR_print and you do a MATCH ANALYSIS. Sidney then tells you that the LSR_print matches the fingerprint of Estelle. So Estelle has put the "Le Serpent Rouge" on he door of the museum.
Estelle:
Go back to the lobby. You will find Estelle in the seating area. Confront her with the fact that you found her fingerprint on Le Serpent rouge and with the conversation about the Egyptian art you listened to a few times blocks ago. Estelle takes Grace to her room and shows her some pictures.
Emilio:
You've probably seen Emilio leave the hotel. Follow Emilio. Do not miss Emilio ... he's in the cemetery.
So if you missed Emilio, after the conversation with Estelle in her room, you just leave the hotel and go to the cemetery. Once Grace enters the cemetery, she goes into cover behind the Tomb
Look an listen to the meeting between Emilio and Mesmi and you know something more about what this game is about. Would the kidnapped son of Prince James be the direct descendant of Jesus ?
Emilio and Mesmi leave the cemetery again. Emilio goes to his room in the hotel. Follow Emilio back to the hotel and go upstairs.
You see Emilio enter his room. Knock on door 27 and .......... Emilio lets Gracie inside.
Look at the long cut scene in which Emilio provides a lot of explanation about who he is and why he is here and what the roll of Gabe and Gracie is in all of this.
Then this time block ends and the last Time Block will start
