Chapter 3: Eldwitch Forrest:

A few Tombstones ..... View each of the tombstones to read who is buried here

Look at the right one of the 2 large gravestones in close-up and read the rhyme that is mentioned on it. It is the grave of Elizabeth Blackwood

Get out of the close-up ...... Go beneath the two tombstones, then down and ..... Abigail ends up in hole under the ground .....

A dowsing rod is lying on a box. To the right is a keystone, in the corner of the right spur of the hole.

View that keystone and then take possession of the keystone

Abigail pulls the keystone out of the hole and she is the stone. Put the keystone on, or next to, the box that stand the left of the box where the dowsing rod is on. Then view the dowsing rod

Abigail thinks that such a dowsing rod is useful to find lost objects. So take possession of the dowsing rod and float right through the tunnel out of this hole

As dowsing rod, Abigail comes back above the ground near the graves. Go to the right and look at  the dense and dark forest

Read Abigail's thoughts about the forest and then dive into the forest and ...... In the forest we come at the ruins of a gate

Click with your question mark in the gate to read Abigail's thoughts about it

Abigail tells that they have buried a box here at the gate, together with her sister Annie. Find that box ..... You can find it in the grass / shrubs to the left of the gate.

So open the action menu on the grass / shrubs and then click the action icon and ..

...You found the box......... 

Open the box with  the action icon and .... 

Abigail pulls a paper from the box. There are various drawings on the paper

The stick that is now on the right on the drawing,  is Abigail as the dowsing rod. The intention is that you click with the lowest point of the stick on 5 of the drawings so that these 5 drawings then get marked red. But which 5 drawings must you click?....... More information is needed, so leave this close-up ....... Abigail has automatically left the dowsing rod and is her own self again ... As Abigail continue to the right and ...... You come to a Teleporter ....... Go a little further to the right until you get the white arrow ...... Then try to go to the next screen ..... But ....... Abigail says she no longer knows the road through the forest and that she needs more information.

Go back to the Teleporter and view the Teleporter now

Click away Abigail's thought and ..... If you are here as dowsing rod then you can not go through the Teleporter ... then first right click to leave the dowsing rod and to lay the dowsing rod down here ....... Now you can you go to the other dimension through the Teleporter, so do that. View in the other dimension all you can see ..... the gate, the grass, the cross and also go left and right and then also see what you can view.

When you have a look at everything, you go back through the Teleporter and back to the box at the gate ruin. Click again with the action icon on the box to see the sketch with the drawings again. As said ..... with the bottom of the dowsing rod you now have to click on 5 of the drawings ...... Which are they?

Well ... the rhyme on the tombstone of Elizabeth Blackwood and what you've just seen in the other dimension give you the answer... It's the pile of tree trunks, the skull, the grave cross, the dead tree and the pointed stone ..... In this order, click with the lowest point of the divining rod on those 5 drawings ..... Those 5 little drawings are then circled in red .....

When you have clicked all 5 drawings you automatically leave this puzzle and Abigail has left the dowsing rod, because she no longer needs it ....

Abigail then tells that she is now remembering the way through the forest again

You are "normal" Abigail again ..... Go back to the right, to the Teleporter. Do not go through the Teleporter again but now go to the right through the forest and .....

 In the end Abigail will come out of the forest and has  arrive at the Church. Fly into the church.

Church:

Immediately when you are inside there is a letter on 1 of the pews. Read the letter

Click the letter away and float to the right ..... You come to the small altar and a memorial stone ...... Zoom in on the memorial stone ..

.It is a memorial stone in memory of one William Jeremiah Cecil Whitegate

To the right of the memorial stone is a small altar with 1 burning candle on it ..... View the altar ...

Abigail finds it strange that a candle burns and that there is only one candle, while there is room for another candle

Click away the text and ....Abigail then shoots up and ....... We meet bird demon Malphas again ... Listen to what Malphas says.

Malphas is impressed with Abigail's achievements so far and he decides to help the little girl by telling her that she is not alone in the church ...

There's a guy here and that guy might give Abigail an answer to her questions.

Malphas then disappears again. Float up to the attic. Go left......

On the table there is a diary .... Leave the diary alone for a while .... Look up ...... You can see the church bell. View the church bell and then zoom in on it via the action icon. 

The church bell has 3 white symbols on it, underneath the A and the N and the O of ANNO 1854

Remember the 2 symbols or draw them over ... they are the symbols for the letters A and N and O and you have to be able to recognize them later on

Leave the close-up and go and look at the diary that is on the table. You can browse to the following pages with the white arrows

When you have finished reading, you leave the close-up ..... Everything is stored in your "Eldwitch Forrest Codex". Go back down to the altar and then go to the right

Abigail ends up in the sacristy chamber of the church. The Book Exchange puzzle is in the bookcase. There is another diary on the cupboard, in front of the bookcase. On the right is a large cupboard and against that cupboard leans a hook. The door to the outside is open.

First go to see the diary read by ......... Browse to the other pages ....Read the texts and draw over the various symbols (Sigils)

Leave the diary and zoom in on the bookcase and check out the Book Exchange Puzzle. You see 8 books with a symbol on them.

Those 8 books are not in the right order. But we do not have enough information to solve this puzzle now, so stay of the books and get out of the close -up. 

Open the right door of the large closet . On the second shelf from above, Abigail finds a name register in the closet ..... 

Study this name paper well ...... Take note of the name at number 224 ..... Anton Patrick William Elrias ......

Get out of the close-up again. View, via the eye-icon, the Hook, that leans against the closet. Abigail can take "possession" of the Hook .... Do that now, so use the "Possession icon" on the hook. Abigail then is the long hook. Now pay attention. Fly, as  the hook, through the open door to the outside ......... then find the right-hand arrow but make sure Abigail is not too low....

Go to the right and a ......

Abigail comes out of the church and above the water of the Forest Lake ..... BEWARE that you are not too low because when Abigail comes into contact with the water she will loose the Hook and you can never take it again ..... In fact, then it is GAME OVER ...... So stay high above the water and fly to the other side and then go through the opened door

As Hook, Abigail is now in the little chapel behind the church. Under the window stand a table ..... Put the Hook on the table now. So hang above the table and then click your right mouse button to drop the hook on the table .....Make sure that the Hook doesn't  fall into the water because then you have lost the hook. When  you have put the hook on the table go to the right and ...... a stone staircase ..... Between the table and the stairs is a pile of debris and  from the ceiling hangs the Chandelier ...... The chandelier is hanging on a chain ...... View the chandelier and also view the debris under the chandelier ....

The debris is covering of  a Hatch ..... Abigail can go down here to get underwater, but she can not do that if she has taken possession of an item because then Abigail can not go through closed hatches / doors and walls. That Hatch must therefore be opened up. On the intermediate platform, at the top of the bottom staircase, there is some junk ..... Between that junk lies an old Cloth ...... Find that cloth and take the cloth in possession ..... Float, as cloth, back to the table where you left the Hook on and then use the cloth on the hook via the action icon.

Abigail wraps the cloth around the hook and with this she has made a Torch ..... Now she needs fire to light the torch. Take possession of the Hook / Torch again via the "Possession icon". As Torch / Hook float up 2 floors.  On the left is a chest with a diary in it ..... However its pretty dark up here. On the right, a burning oil lamp hangs on the wall and above the Oil lamp a rope is attached to a ring and the chain of the Chandelier is attached to that rope.

Go to the oil lamp and use Abigail, as a torch, on it and ....... Abigail lights up her torch via the flame in the oil lamp

Look at the rope, which is attached to the metal ring above the oil lamp and where the chain of the chandelier is attached to......

Now burn down the rope, where the chain of the chandelier is attached to ... and ...... The chandelier collapses, breaks through the rubble and breaks the hatch

As a burning torch you float back to the left, to the Chest. Put the burning torch in front of the Chest and then take the diary and read the text

Continue up to the roof. On the roof is a Disc laying on a chair ..... View the Disc....

The disc turns out to be a Zodiac disc. You see the months of the year and the symbols that go belongs to them

Leave the close-up and go back down to the floor and ....The chandelier is gone because it has been knocked down and has broken the hatch ...

Dive down into the water and go underwater ... A shaft goes even further down but wait a moment.

Here is also the chandelier ..... Right in the corner you can zoom in on a memorial stone ..... Do that and see the memorial stone .... "Cristian J ....." you  read on the stone .... 

The C and the J are encircled with a symbol ... So these are the symbols for the letters C and J .... Remember this or better still......note this down 

Dive further down the shaft and .....We end up at the bottom of the flooded vault ..... There are white symbols on the right pillar.

View those white symbols ..... Draw them over because it is the solution of the Book Exchange Puzzle that we are going to solve in a moment .The order is from bottom to top. 

Go back up and then all the way back to the Sacristy room of the big church. Go back in the close-up of the:

Book exchange Puzzle

There are 8 books with a symbol on them. They are the symbols that you just saw when you were underwater

The 8 books with a symbol on them are not in the right order and you now have to place them in the right order. It is a simple exchange puzzle .... 

You can  change 2 books with each other. Click on 2 books and they change places

You saw the right sequence underwater, so make sure you get the 8 books in the right order ....

On the pillar you saw the correct order from bottom to top ..... that sequence is on the books from left to right ....Here's the solution

As soon as you have solved the puzzle, you automatically leave the close-up and .......A Ghost shoots out of the bookcase and disappears..FOLLOW THE GHOST

Follow the ghost to the chapel and then down the shaft to the bottom of the underwater vault ...... The Ghost then shoots to the left, so follow the ghost to the left and .......

.... go a little further to the left and ....... Abigail now meets the Head with a mouth sewn shut ....... that Head comes out of the wall. Click through the text screens. The Head does not know his own name anymore and it asks Abigail's help to tell him his name and you have to do that via the Typewriter

So zoom in on the Typewriter

The Typewriter puzzle part 1:

You are in the close-up of the typewriter. On the keys there are no numbers but symbols ...... The symbols are actually letters and numbers and some of the symbols you have seen on the Church Bell, the memorial stone and in various letters and documents. You now have to type the name of the Head on the paper by clicking the appropriate buttons .... You do not type a name but you type a SIGIL ..... That Sigil consists of several symbols and you have to put together the Sigil now.

I will explain it and then I will give you the solution.

If you hover your cursor over a symbol button, you will see a gray example on the paper of the symbol on that button ..... DO NOT CLICK ..... You can turn the knobs with the Rotary Knob A, at top left, and Rotary Knob B, at  bottom left ....... You do not only need to know the right symbols, but you also need to know how these symbols should be placed on the paper. Number the buttons for yourself as shown in this  picture

In the picture you already see, on the paper, the first 2 symbols of the ELRIAS Sigil that you have to make now, because the name of the Head is ELRIAS. The symbol of button 18 is already OK but the symbol of button 9 is still wrong. You must first turn Button 9 until the symbol of button 9 is pointing in the right direction .....

The ELRIAS SIGIL can be made with the buttons: 18, 9, 27, 32 and 35 ....... First look at these buttons  to see if those symbol are standing in the right direction .... if not, then you first turn the buttons with the rotary knobs A and B until you see on the paper that the symbol is pointing in the right direction. With Rotary knob A you turn all the buttons with an oblique symbol, and that are the buttons 1 to 11. With Rotary knob B you turn all other symbol buttons ..... 1 click on the rotary knobs is 1 turn. 

Hope you understand what the intention is ... Oh well ..... If you go wrong then click the "CLEAR" button, bottom right because that is the reset button

So make the ELRIAS SIGIL on the paper ...... with the buttons 18, 9, 27, 32, 35 ......... It should look like this then

When you have done it right  then you automatically leave the puzzle and Abigail says that you have done well ....... 

The Sigil then stands on the paper that now sticks out from the typewriter.

Now Abigail must tell the head that his name is ELIAS, so take possession of the Sigil paper and ...... 

........then, as the paper, open the action menu on the head and then click the action icon and .......

Abigail tells ELRIAS his name and the head is grateful to her .....

Abigail does not get a chance to discuss her questions with ELRIAS because the ungrateful dog disappears, but where the head was a new passage has open up now .....

Go through the new passage ...... Abigail ends up in a cave. There are crates and a table with 2 smaller crates on it. There is also a candlestick on the table. View the candlestick with the eye icon. Abigail tells us that this candlestick is exactly like the candlestick that stands on the altar in the church.

If you have looked at the candlestick and clicked away Abigail's remark, you can take possession of the candlestick .... Do not do this yet ... Leave the candlestick here for a while. Right above the table the shaft goes up ..... Fly, like Abigail, up through the shaft and ....... Halfway up the shaft is blocked by a mesh grid and on the left side a branch / root protrudes the wall ........ View the grid and view the branch ...

The grid makes it impossible for Abigail to take the candlestick up, so that grid has to be removed .....Abigail also tells us that the branch keeps the grid in place ...So take possession of the branch via "Possession icon" and.... Abigail tries to pull the branch out of the wall with all her might, but it does not work.

Abigail is not strong enough to pull the branch out of the wall ..... She needs a Power boost.

Descend back down to the bottom and then go back to the right, to the Typewriter. Zoom back in on the typewriter

Typewriter puzzle part 2

You now have to type a new Sigil, the Sigil of William Jeremiah Cecil Whitegate, the founder of the church. In various documents and letters you can find out what that Sigil looks like. It works in the same way as the 1st time. First look at the symbols and if you have to then first turn the knobs again using the rotary knobs A and B. If you go wrong, delete everything with the Reset (Clear) button. You make the Sigel with the symbols of the buttons 27, 27 (reversed), 5, 20 and 33 and it looks like this 

As soon as you have the Sigil, you automatically leave the typewriter again and ..... Bottom right a shaft opens up in the bottom

Dive down through the newly opened shaft and ..... At the bottom the Green Powerbol floats on a pillar. Take possession of the Powerbol.

Well ..... Abigail now has "Spiritual Power" and she can now pull that branch out of the wall of the shaft. So back up to the typewriter and then left and up to the branch again. Take possession of the branch again and ...... Abigail crawls into the branch but the branch is stuck .... Now you have to use your mouse to release the branch ......Left click on the branch and then hold down your mouse button while moving your mouse up and down and back and forth with strong movements and keep doing this until Abigail, as the branch, has come loose from the wall.

The grid is then broken and Abigail is the Branch ..... As a Branch you go back down to the Candlestick. 

Right-click to leave the branch and leave it behind and now take possession of the Candlestick via the "Possession icon".

As a candlestick you now go all the way up through the shaft and ...... Abigail then comes out of the church. Fly into the church and go to the altar in the church hall

On the altar is already 1 candlestick with burning candles .... Abigail has already told that there is shout be a second candlestick on the altar. Now find the spot where you need to place the candlestick, on the left side of the altar, and then click the action icon to place the candlestick on the altar

..... As soon as you have put the candlestick on the right spot on the altar, a shaft opens again in the floor, in front of the altar .....

Go down through the now opened shaft and ...... We end up in the underground vaults of the church. On the left is the "Foras" diary on the altar.

Read the diary via the action icon

Abigail has found the "Opposite Sigil" of Foras and the game now tells you that Abigail, in the Blackwood house, now also can enter the "Foras" rooms

Well .....Little Abigail is ready here in the woods and the church ....So  Back to the Blackwood house.

Open the floor plans via the TAB-key and scroll to the floor plan of the Blackwood house.

Click on the map in the room where the 4 pillars are located, so click in the room to the left of the kitchen and .....

Blackwood Manor:

Abigail has returned to the pillar room of Blackwood Manor. Go right out of the pillars room on the left and ..... We end up in the wine cellar.

Go through the wine cellar to the left and then immediately through the door into a stairwell.

Drop down 1 level lower. Left a door that is open

Underneath he stairs hangs a torch holder on the wall ...... Open the action menu on the torch holder and then click the action icon and ...... On the right a door opens.

So go to the right and ..... Well   Abigail has entered  a long room with a lot of pictures on the wall ...

The photos are of all employees who participated in making this game. You can not look closely at the photos, but halfway through the hall there is a large stone plaque on the wall where you can zoom in and then you read all the names. So these are in fact the Credits of the game ...Nice joke from the makers. Return to the stairwell. Under the torch holder there is a jug on the cupboard ..... View the jug .... it is a milk jug and it is empty

Take possession of the milk jug and then fly through the left door and ..... 

a stone corridor ....... Abigail has a few comments, which you click away to continue ....go to the left and ...... A elevator shaft ......

Dive, as a milk jug, into the elevator shaft and continue down and ...... Abigail lands in the "FIELDS of STONE"
