Chapter 3: Canon Island

Telescope Island:

We are back on telescope island. We will now first set up the tram for our next trip to Canon Island, and that will not be a pleasure trip because on Canon Island it is dark and it is storming and raining. Get off the tram and go back to the control panel of the tram. Leave lever 1 on "Base" and move lever 2 to "Canon"

Step back on the tram, pull on the ceiling handle again and ....... the tram will now take you to:

Canon Island.

Let me tell you something about this island first .  What you need to do is to get power on for the Teleporters, because we will need to use those Teleports to go to the other islands. You do this by turning a bunch of swing bridges and levers and this is a tricky puzzle. But I shall do my best to explain it all to you.

Get out of the tram and walk towards the double door. Do not enter through the double door yet ..........

 in the left corner you see another door. Go to the door in the corner and open the door ....

 It's a deep power closet with a flow meter and a lever. Step inside and walk on to the flow meter. You can click on the lever, but nothing happens. The pointer of the meter must be at least at  5 and we will must take care of that. Leave this closet and go to the entrance door and open the door with the key you have found on lab island .......... If you did not get this key then you will first have to go all the way back to lab island to grab that key. ....... but I assume that you do have the key so open the door and go inside and stand still

You are standing in front of the next double door, but it will not open because the swing bridge is not here. If you look outside here, you will all see antennas connected to swing bridges that you can turn. So you are in a kind of lock and you can go left or right. Right is a dead end, so turn left and continue until you see 4 levers on the right side of the corridor.

Stand straight in front of the 4 levers. With these levers we will turn the bridges.

 In my game all four levers are now pointing upright and I assume it is the same in your game now..

We leave the levers alone  for now, but  name the levers, from left to right, as A, B, C, D. Again....in my game the levers are all 4 upright. 

 From here we will walk the first round over the swing bridges and while we do that we will turn a number of levers a quarter turn. 

Turn left and walk further down the corridor until you reach 2 doors

The door on the left does not matter now, the door on the right gives access to the swing bridges, and there is now a swing bridge here.


First a remark and explanation  about the turning of the levers on the swing bridges by Dick Leeuw

Dear gamer: How you must turn the levers on the swing bridges, and witch levers you must turn, can be somewhat confusing. The levers are positioned transversely or in the longitudinal direction of the bridge. This causes confusion because the bridges are turning when you turn a lever. Another way to say it is that the lever is on or off. A Lever is on when the handle of the Lever is under the lamp. I have enclosed a few screenshots with the off and on position

When you first prepare the power supply for the teleporters on Canon island, turn the lever on antenna 1 off and the antennas 2 through 12 on. When you have done this, all you have to do is switch the lever of antenna 7 OFF, when visit  Canon island the second time. This works for me in the game and also in the walkthrough as it is on Steam


Swing Bridges tour 1:

Stand straight in front of the right door and click on the door handles to open the door and get onto the bridge.

The swing bridges stick to the metal pillars and each pillar has a rotary lever. Most of those rotary levers, however, are turned incorrectly and we are going to change that now.

Walk to the first lever. This lever 1 is already turned correctly so don't touch it

Continue to the lever 2 ..... Lever 2 is turned the wrong way .....click on lever 2 to turn it a quarter turn

you cannot go straight ahead so turn left and continue over the next bridge to lever 3

Turn lever 3 a quarter turn and continue to lever 4 and turn lever 4 also a quarter turn

The bridge goes left, so turn left again over the next bridge to levers 5 and 6

Turn levers 5 and 6 a quarter turn each

Your first tour over the bridges is ready, so back to the lock. In the lock / corridor you turn left again to the bridge levers and stand in front of it again.

Now we are going to swing a few bridges. Click on levers A, B and C, Do not click lever D.

If you look outside you can see the bridges turning. We are going to tour 2 now

Bridge tour 2:

A swing bridge is now at the right door so turn right and walk back through the corridor to the doors

Open the left doors and step outside and immediately stand  still on the bridge ........ turn around and look up ........

You see an emblem with a large T on it. ......The emblem is screwed on the wall with 6 bolts....If you look carefully you'll see that there is a slash (/) on the bolt at the bottom left  and on the bolt at the top right ......Note this down because this is a clue that you need later in the game ...... so remember this.

Now look at normal height again and turn around and walk to the first lever.

Lever 1 is already turned the right way so stay off it. Continue to lever 2

Lever 2 hangs above the intersection and is not positioned correctly ..... So turn lever 2 a quarter turn.

Walk straight ahead to lever 3 and also turn it a quarter turn. Turn around and walk back to the intersection. 

Now turn left here onto the next bridge to lever 4 .......

Lever 4 is OK, so stay off it ..... Go on to lever 5 that you have to turn a quarter turn.... Then follow the bridge to the right, to lever 6.

Lever 6 already is good so on to the last lever of this 2nd series of bridges ..... You have to turn the last lever a quarter turn again. You're finished with round two so go it back to the lock / corridor and  to the 4 bridge levers A, B, C, D, which we are now going to play for round 3.

Stand straight in front of the levers and click levers A, D, B but don't touch C 

The swing bridge is now left again so again to the left door. Go up the bridge through that door again.

Bridge tour 3:

Now in my game all the levers on this third tour were turned in the right position but I don't know if it is true in your game. So I'll walk you through it The first lever must be across, the second must be at he length of the bridge and the next two levers must be across again. 

We are done, so turn around and walk back to the tram and then to the right into the corner to the meter closet

If all is well, the pointer is now between 6 and 7 ....... click on the lever and ....... the light will come on ....... the teleporters now have power. Ok .... Get into the tram, pull the ceiling lever and you travel back to the base.

Telescope Island (Base)

Back at the base we now have to aim the telescope at the teleport of the lab island. So go to the telescope building and then up the stairs to the telescope's control panel. We have aimed the telescope at the sign pole of Lab island so you don't have to worry about the left wheel because the left display has to stay at 000. We now have to adjust the height of the telescope and we do that with the right wheel. For Lab Island the code is 067 so turn the right screen with the right wheel to 067 and then press the bottom button and ........

... the telescope goes up but when it  is pointed at the lab island sign pole, you will not see a white dot blinking in the screen, but you can see that the pointer is now at the far right. Can you still remember that glass house, containing the control panel. We must now set it in the same way as we have just done here. So now go to that glass house and enter it.

Stand in front of the control panel. Stay away from the lever because it is in the right position. We have to set the top row of digits. 

For the telescope that was 000 and 067 and we will do the same here. Use the right wheel to turn the right digit series, from the top row, to 067

Ready ......... you can see that the light is on. Now we still have to do something at the tram so go there. If you look closely you can see that there is a space beneath the tram, but you cannot get there now because the tram is in the way. We are going to do something about it. Go to the tram control panel and set lever 1 to "Base" and lever 2 to "Lab".

Teleport:

Do you remember that emblem on Canon Island with the bolts with slashes? We need that here, but  we have to be under the tram. So get on the tram again and travel to Lab Island. On Lab Island we need to go back to Telescope island (Base) without the tram. So you now need to use the teleporter here to teleport back to Telescope island. If you have set all the levers of the swing bridges on Canon Island correctly then the teleporters now have power.

 Step out the tram and walk through the gate through  and then down the stairs to the quay. Turn around and you see the bridge again

Go underneath the bridge to the teleporter. Walk up the teleporter and stand in front of the pole and press the button and ...

.... "Beam Me Up Scotty"...... In a flash you are back on telescope island

Now walk back to the tram house and when you arrive there you see that ladder rungs are going down on the left.

Stand above that ladder and go down .......... When your down turn t left and ...... hello ..... don't you not know that emblem? ...... 

But we have a problem ....... we have only seen two bolts with a slash on it on Canon Island and here there are 6 and you can turn them all 6. So we have to look for more clues to solve this, but we will do that in the next chapter. However, we are going to do one more thing here. Go up the ladder rungs again. 

Go to the control panel of the tram and now put lever 1 on House and leave lever 2 on Lab

Now go back to the teleport and zap back to Lab Island ..... you teleport back to Lab Island and therefore to
