Chapter 2: Day 2: Survive

Tessa and CORE start day 2 with a conversation in the cryo room. Leave the ship and return to the Swamp Cliff. 

So outside the wreck go to the right and then click "leave" to end up on the swamp cliff above the swamp. 

Swamp:

Find the "Descent" arrow and click it to go down to the swamp. After the conversation between Tessa and Core we end up in the swamp. Again there's a conversation between Tessa and CORE. The swamp is a kind of maze, so Tessa needs to now wich way to go to get to the signal. So use the Scan optie of CORE to scan the area and......

CORE wil provide blue directional arrows which show you to  way you must go. 

So on every new swamp screen activate the scan option and then follow the blue arrows. 

So from the start screen of the swamp take the Up path (North) to the next screen, scan the area and take the Up path again. 

Tessa ends up at a dead end. She can't cross over the stnking riverder to the other side. Scan the area......

CORE points to the other side but there's no way to cross over the filthy water here. 

Look at the other side and listen to CORE.....

So go back (down) to the previous screen and then take the left , or the right, path. I take the right path, so I go east here

On the next screen go up again (North) and........

Tessa and CORE are on the other side of the stream. Scan the area.....CORE point you to North again, so take the Up path and......

Tessa ends up on a high view point again and this bis a dead end. Listen to Tessa and Core. 

Down below  a huge root goes into the swamp. Above that root is a rift and a ledge. Left of Tessa is a Net / Mesh between the plant roots. 

Look at the huge root and listen to what Tessa and Core tells about it. There are glowing insects on the root and the root goes up to a ledge but it's not clear which ledge it is.  Look at  the Rift above the root and listen to what Tessa and Core say about it.  .....The root comes through that crack / rift and Tessa has to find it and then descent via the root further down into the swamp. Look at the Ledge, above the Rift,  and again listen to Tessa and Core. Look at the Mesh. Then take the Shard/Foam knife from inventory and use it on the Mesh to cut the Mesh from the roots. In inventory you then have a Net (Mesh)

Tessa needs to find that Rift, above the big root. On the root are glowing insects, so maybe glowing insect could lead her to that rift.  

Exit here (down), then go left (west), and then down (South) to........

...... end up at  a crater. Let CORE scan the area and listen to what he says.

 Look into the crater yourself. The crater is filled with blue water and Tessa says that there's a blue metalic and shimmering object on the bodem of the crater.   A bend over plant stand on the edge of the crater, the tip of the plant is above the crater. Click on the plant and listen to what Tessa says about it....The plant is to slippery to climb. Take the metal bolts from inventory and use them on the plant. Tessa sticks the 3 metal bolts into the plant but they aren't stable enough to climb. Take the lever from inverntory and use it on the plant also. 

With the lever Tessa rams the bolts deeper into the plant. In inventory combine the hook with the net. Now click the plant again and.....

Via the bolts Tessa climbs onto the plant. 

When Tessa stands on top and she and CORE are done talking, take the net/hook combo from inventory and use it on the crater and.........

Tessa fishes a meteorite out of the crater. Tessa looses the net but she keeps the hook. 

Return to the view cliff via right (East)  and then 2x Up (North).  

When Tessa is back up the cliff take the meteorite from inventory and trow it into the lake, at the big root, beneath the cliff. 

CORE doesn't understand why Tessa throws the meteorite into the lake, but a few minutes later the water of the lake turns blue, just like the water in the crater. Tessa needs to find blue insects and then follow them to end up on the big root at the rift Exit from the view cliff and then go right (east)  2 times

Red glowing insects are sitting in a plant. At the base of the plant is a pool of red water and against the plant stand a bush.  As always let CORE scan this area.  Look at the red insects, the pool of red water and the bush and listen what Tessa says about it. In the bush Tessa sees a dead animal. These red glowing insects are of no use for Tessa because she needs blue glowing insects.   Go back left 2x, then down, and then right 2x. Tessa is then at  huge red blooming flower

 

 Glowing insects are sitting in the plant above the reddish flower. Long fibers are hanging down from the flower.  Activate CORE to scan the flower. 

The fibers of the flower are soaked with oil. Use your shard /foam knife on the fibers to cut a couple of fibers off

In inventory combine the fibers with the lever. Then combine the fiber/lever combo with your matches and you have a lit torch. Now you have to find insects and chase them away with the torch. Go back left and use the torch on the yellow/green insects that are on the left plant.....The smoke of the torch makes the insect go to the right plant. 

This was a rail run of Tessa to see what the insects do when she uses the torch.

 Go Left  again and use the torch on the yellow/green insects

You then must click an option. Click on  "from the right" to  make these insects go left.

Go Up 2x (North) and use the torch on the yellow/green insects  and now click the From the Left  option and these insect goes to the right. 

Use the torch again on these insects and click again the From the Left option and......

......the insects fly to the right and they turn blue for a moment and then they fly away to the right. Follow the blue insects to the right and.......

Cutscene....Tessa and Core have followed the blue insects to the rift and Tessa goes down to the lake over the big root.  

Activate CORE scan and  then follow the signal (arrows) to the right. 

Cutscene ......Tessa and CORE reaches the outpost station of the mining corporation.. Listen to Tessa and CORE.

Station: Outside

Left of Tessa you see a Scrap heap. Go to the gate, which is the main entrance of the station. At the gate CORE says that Tessa must knock on the gate and Tessa will do this. Nobody answers and the gate will not open.  Activate CORE Scan and listen to CORE. CORE  also does a scan of the Scrap heap.  CORE says that there's an entrance to the station under the scrap heap. 

 In order to prevent people to fall down into the depth the edge of this plateau is fenced off with an iron fence. One of the post of the fence stand alone./  Click on that post and listen to Tessa.  Take the lever from inventory again and use it on the post and do this twice. Then use the lever on the bolt at the bottom of the post to get the post out.

 You loose the lever and CORE has some comment and when he's done wining walk back to the scrap heapLook at the scrap

You go into a close-up of the scrap. The scrap has a left side and a right side and on the left side is a gap. 

Click left side, gap and right side to hear what Tessa has to say about it. 

Take the screwdriver, or the foam/shard knife, from inventory and use it on the right side of the scrap. 

Tessa removes a piece of Strap from the scrap heap, which she puts in inventory

Now take the post from inventor and also use it on the right side of the scrap. 

Tessa put the post under the right side of the scrap. Now take the spear from inventory and use it on the left side of the scrap and.......

Tessa pushes the whole scrap to the right. You now see a tunnel entrance. Look at the tunnel 

Tessa ask CORE to scan the tunnel and your little helper does this and report that it is save..

In inventory combine the hook with the strap and then use the strap/hook on the scrap to hook it onto it, to have a secure descent into the tunnel

Then descend through the tunnel and Tessa and CORE ends up inside the station

Station: Inside

Drilling Room

Core informs Tessa that the exit door is firmly locked, so there seems no way out.  Activate CORE SCAN and listen to what CORE has to say about this room.   CORE then ask if Tessa wants him to fly into the pit to also scan the pit. Say "Yes Please" or "Of Course" and CORE goes into the pit to scan it and when he returns says that there's nothing of interest  on the bottom, just a lot of metal pieces. Look around.

The exit door is locked.  Right next of the exit door are Ore samples in the wall and next to those ore samples stand a console. Above the drilling shaft hangs a weird machine an on the edge of the shaft stand the fusion generator. The weird machine is a robot laser / magnetic drill.  Go to the generator. Use the generator........After CORE's explanation Tessa activates the generator. The lights go on and  the console also has power now.  Look at the Ore samples. In the close-up you see that there are white crystals inside the ore samples but Tessa can't get them out. At bottom right lies a special attachment. Take that special attachment. 

Go out the close-up and click on the console, that now has powered up. The console controls the laser dril.  Click on the Power Button and........

...the magnetic beam of the dril beams up some metal pieces from the drill shaft and Tessa put them in inventory.  

Go to the exit door and place the metal pieces on the door. 

Then take the welding torch from inventory and use it on the door to weld the metal pieces on the door.

Use the console again to control the laser drill again. Now aim the red laser beam of the drill at the door. You do this by moving the 2 buttons through the horizontal and vertical slots.  First aim the red beam at the door with the horizontal button and the put that buttonback on the red area in the middle. Then move the laser drill up with the vertical button until the red beam is on the center of the door and then click the power button and.....the magnetic puls of the dril opens up the door.

Go through the opened door into the hallway and.......

Long cut scene: In the hallway Tessa sees a shadow on the wall, she thinks it's Mark. The shadow runs away and Tessa follows and  she and CORE ends up, via the courtyard and the main hall, in the Control Room. There's a conversation with Core in whitch Tessa gets a bit hysterical. CORE then shows Tessa where in space they are now. 

Control Room:

Look around. You can't do anything here just now because there's no power

There are 3 consoles in the room and at top left is a door to the Medical ward but it's locked. 

The console on the left is the Communication console but it has no power. 

The other two consoles also has no power. Tessa needs to restore the power first. Go back to the:

Main Hall:

Tessa stand at the stairs that goes up to the control room. On the right is a door and on the left is a blocked door...it's the Storage Room door and a metasl bar holds that door a jar. Also on the left a Wrench sticks in a grid of the wall. Take the Wrench.  To the right of the stairs is the door of the laboratory and an old barrel is lying on the floor there. When you have taking the wrench, go through the blocked door into the 

Storage Room:

There are storage hatches in the floor that can be opened by using the yellow robot arm. One of those floor hatches is available. Cranks are on the wall between the yellow robot and the 3D printer that stand in the upper lerft corner. Those cranks steer the robot.  The 3D printer has a display. Between the 3D printer and the console is a coffee machine on the wall. A workbench stand in the upper right corner and on the workbench are Notes. At the right wall stand a Burner on the trolley table. First Scan the room with CORE. 

Click the 3D printer and listen to Tessa and CORE. The 3D printen doesn't have power.  The console also doesn't have power. Look at  the workbench and......Tessa takes a USB Data cable, a spary nozzle and some screws from the workbench. Look at the Notes, they are about elements and materials. Click the notes away to put them back on the workbench. Exit the storage room. Back in the main hall go down the ramp to the courtyard.

The courtyard is the central place in this station. From the courtyard you can go to the main hall, outside through the main gate, to the living quarters, to the Incinerator room and back to the drill room. Tessa needs to go to the Incinerator but first move Tessa tdown and then go to the Hallway / Drill room. Back in the hallway you see a crank that's leaning against the left wall. Take the Crank. 

Go back to the Courtyard and walk to the middle and then go left to the Incinerator room door. Tessa and CORE end up at the massive steel door of the Incinerator room. Click the door, but it's locked. On the right side of the door you see a Cover plate. Click that Cover plate......it's screwed to the door with screws. Use your screwdriver on the Cover plate to remove it.........Behind the cover plate is the manuel override for the big door  and CORE scans it and says that there's a cog missing. Look at the Gate mechanisme to see it in close-up. 

You see that a cog is missing in the mechanisme. Click on the Rod and listen to what Tessa and CORE say about it.

 Use your wrench on the small  cog wheel the unscrew it and to store it in your inventory. 

 Go out this close-up and go back to the:

Storage Room

Back in the Storage room open the floor hatch.  You see lots of cog wheels..

Take the cog wheel from inventory and click with it in the hatch........

Tessa doesn't see a simmular cog so she ask CORE to scan her her cog and to find her a simmular gog. 

Tessa needs to use the robot now to get a cog wheel that she needs to the now open hatch

Click the cranks that are on the left wall and listen to Tessa and CORE. 

Minigame: Steer the Robot to get the green cog wheel in the open hatch

CORE then highlight all the cogs that are in the floor hatches.  

The green Cog is the correct cog and you now must steer the green cog to the open floor hatch so that Tessa can take that green cog.  You can skip this puzzle. The green cog wheel can start ata different position. In  my game the green cog start at top left.  Because the starting point of the green cog can be different I will not provide you with a solution. Use the arrows to move the yellow robot to the green cog and then use the arrows to make the robot move the green cog into the open hatch.  You will figure out yourself how this mini game works while you go but if you can't solve it then use the Skip option When you have the green cog in the open hatch Tessa will say "I did it"  and you go out the mini game. 

Then use the wrench in the mechanism to take the cog wheel out of the hatch.

Go  back to the incinerator room door. Look at the gate mechanism again to get into the close-up again. 

Take, one by one, both cog wheels from inventory and click them on the 2 rods inside the mechanisme. 

In inventory combine the Special attachment with the Crank. Then take this Crank with attachment from inventory and click with on the screw of the large cog wheel.  The crank and the special attachment are placed on top of the mechanisme. Now use (click) the main gear and.......

Tessa opens up the big door with the crank. 

Incinerator Room

You loose the crank and the special attachment but Tessa takes a Cog wheel back out the mechanisme because she needs it later on. The big door is open now, so go through the door into the Incinerator room. There's a conversation between Tessa and CORE at the Furnace. Walk further to the left to see what's in this room. 

On the left stand a Rover car at the gate. Behind the Rover is a Scap compound and an  empty cart. Above the empty card hangs the Crane. On the balcony, above the Furnace you see a Control console. Click the Rover......Tessa walks on to the Rover. There's a Stop block under the back wheels of the rover. Take that Stop Block. 

Look at the Scrap compound and listen to what CORE and Tessa have to say about it.  

Look at the Crane and, again, listen to what Tessa and CORE say about it. The crane is blocked with some kind of stuff

The empty cart can't be moved by hand. Go up the balcony and click the Control console......

CORE tells Tessa wich button to push. 

Then CORE reads a manuel and tells Tessa wich buttons and levers she must use and Tessa does this. 

The room is now powered up with emercency power and the cart is now full with junk. 

Left next of the Control console is a Sign. Look at that sign to read it in your screen. You can now use the Control console but do not do this now. 

Get of the balcony and walk to the right and leave thiis room through the big door again and then go back to the Main Hall again.

In the Main Hall click on the right door. The door doesn't go open but there's a gap now. 

Use the stop block on the gap to force the door open a bit. Then enter the:

Laboratory:

There are 2 incubaters The glass window of the right incubator is broken an it's display is also broken.  Left of the door a Tank is on the wall. On the table, in front of the incubator, stand a Flask and lies a Laser generator on some papers. To the right of the door is an oven in the wall and there's also a cabinet on the wall. There are a lot of bottles in the shelves and at the sink lies pliers.  Click the broken Incubater and......Tessa takes a yellow fruit from this broken incubater. Look at the Tank, it contains Hydrochloric acid but Tessa needs a container to take some of the acid with here. The oven doesn't have power and the cabinet is locked. Take the Pliers. Take the Flask. Take the Laser generator......Tessa also takes a drawing of a laser cutter. In inventory right click the drawing to see it in close-up.

On the drawing you see 4 empty squars. Tessa needs to find the 4parts and then put them in these 4 squares. Click the dawing away. 

Take the Flask from inventory and use it on the Tank to fill the flask with hydrochloric acid.

Leave the laboratory and go up the stairs to the control room. 

Between the communication console and the little stairs stand a pillar with pipes. One of those pipes is broken.......

Look at that metal pipe.. Use the pliers on the metal pipe to get a cable shaft in inventory.

Go  back to the Drill room, via the Main Hall, the Courtyard and the Hallway. Look at the ore samples again to see them in close-up again.

Use the chloric acid on the single crystal  that's in the middle ore sample and then grab the crystal.

Get out the close-up and go  ack to the:

Incinerator Room 

Walk to the now filled  yellow cart and click on it cart to take a silicone gun and a chainsaw chain from the scrap

Tessa now has all 4 part of the Laser cutter. In inventory right click the drawing of the Laser cutter again. Place the correct objects in the slots:  

Top left  theCable shaft, Top right the Laser generator, Bottom left the Silicon gun, Bottom right the Crystal. 

Click on "Construct" and you have an improvised laser cutter. Use the laser cutter on the crane to remove the blockage. 

After Tessa is done the crane goes open but the Laser cutter is about to explode and just in time Tessa throughs the cutter into the furnage. The rails, on which to yellow cart stand, are rusty. In inventory make a hole in the yellow fruit with your shard or the pliers. Then use the fruit on the rusty rails to grease the rails with oil of the fruit. 

Go back to Main Hall and there enter the Storage Room again. 

Use your shard knife or the pliers on the burner, that's on the trolley table to cut off the short tube of the burner.

You then have that tube in inventory. Go back to the Incinerator Room. Go stand and the yellow cart again. In inventory, combine the spray nozzle with the hose. Combine the spray head/hose with the  laboratory Flask and get a spray bottle. Combine the spray bottle with the fruit, to fill it with oil. Use the spray bottle with oil on the mine cart to grease the wheels of the cart

Go up the balcony again and use the control console to get to controls of the crane in your screen. 

Click on Move mine cart. The yellow cart moves to the end of the rails. C

lick on Control crane to get the crane buttons. 

Move the crane above the mine cart with the vertical button. 

Then click the Crane button to grab a pile of scrap from the cart

Lift the crane up with the vertical button and then move it above the furnace with the horizontal button. 

Then open the crane with the Crane butto to throw the crap into the furnace

.....Tessa does this a few more times all by herself and when she's done click the Control console again and then click on Start Incinerator and......

Cut Scene: The station gets powered up but this will take some time. So Tessa goes to sleep in the Drill room. 

Tessa has her dream and in the hospital she continue her session and then we go on with Day 3
