Chapter 1: Hunrath: Part 1:

A: Meet C.W

Once the yellow glow has risen you can move forward again. You are in a cave

The yellow glow has transported you, along with the picnic table, into a completely different area ...... Are you actually still on planet Earth?

There is an oil lamp on the picnic table. You can pick up the oil lamp and then let it burn if you turn it on, but that is only meant to get used to the controls.

Leave the cave and follow the path through the canyon. The canyon is at first rather narrow but then becomes much wider. Just follow the path straight ahead and .......

Right next to the path you will find a device that projects a hologram. Walk to that hologram device and press the button and you will hear and see mayor Josef.

Josef welcomes you to Hunrath and he tells a whole story and then sends you to the house with the white fence, the house of Farley.

Walk further along the path ...... You enter the valley ..... notice the rails ......

This is how Hunrath looks from above

in the distance you'll see a house with a white fence ... ... that is the house of Farley .....Go there by following the rail

Walk to the white garden fence of the house. You can do that via the left side or you walk up through the piece of wall that has collapsed.

In front of the garden gate stand a mailbox .... open the flap of the mailbox and take out the letter and read this letter

On the post of the mailbox you can read the house number 1436 and in the garden you see another  hologram device ....

walk to the hologram and press the button and listen to the Farley hologram.......Farley stutters quite a bit ........

On the post, at the stairs, is also the house number 1436. You've seen this number twice now, so it must be important. Write the house number of Farley's house on a piece of paper because you need it later. The front door of the Farley house is locked, so you can not go inside through the front door. Maybe you'll find a back door later on.  You can further explore the area here. If you leave the garden on the left side and follow the path there, you will find a toy fire truck on the rocky bottom.

What you should do with the toy fire engine? Well ... nothing .... but apparently there are also children here.

If you go to the right of the Farley house then you can go up the hills. On top of the hills you will find the cemetery.

View the tombstones ..... you read on the tombstones the names of those who are buried there

If you follow the path, between the tombstones, further to the back, you will reach the purple wall .......

The purple wall is now impenetrable for you. Go back, through the cemetery, to the area in front of the Farley house.

Look around you ..... Between a few pointed rocks you can see a red beam shining in the distance. That red beam apparently tries to pierce the purple wall.

You also notice that there are a number of mine shafts here in the valley, some of which are open but others are blocked by boulders.

Continue in the direction of the red beam ..... you reach the center of the village. It looks like a village we know from the cowboy movies.

To the right you can go up to the TREE via a stone staircase carved into the rock, but do not do it now. At the buildings on the left you can find and activate mayor Josef hologram again.

Diagonally behind the Josef Hologram are an open mine shaft and a house that is also open ....Those are mine shaft  A and House A.

The rail goes into mine shaft A, so go inside to take a look ....... You notice that this shaft A runs behind the houses, but that it is blocked behind house A by a large round rock. So walk out shaft A and then go inside  House A ....... In House A you walk down the stairs to the dark niche ....... The dark niche is full of rubble, but behind the wall of the niche is the blocked part of tunnel A .....

Later, when you return here from Kaptar, you will return here and then you can drive with the railcar into mine shaft to some things behind the niche of House A.

Walk out of House A. Back outside go follow the rail to the left, towards the red beam .... You will arrive at the windmill and, on the left, a secluded area with 2 buildings. Go there

There is a gate in the fence. The red beam comes from behind the fence and a blue beam radiates from the building and hits the ground at the gate in the fence.

Walk through the gate in the fence ....... Don't worry.....you do not suffer harm from the blue beam, because the human body is apparently resistant to the blue laser.

You are now on the site behind the fence and here are 2 buildings. You can go to the left building, it is the workshop but the door does not open. On the right pole there is a red button, but the button does nothing because there is apparently no power.  Go to the building on the right and inside. Inside you see, on the right, a big vault door

Walk to the vault door. On the door you will find a box with a green button. Press the green button and ....

....It takes a while but then the hatch opens and you see CW, who immediately jumps off a story,

........ listen to what CW has to say .. .... Your first task is to restore the power supply. C.W disappears.

B: Restore the power supply:

Turn around....Except the doorway you came in you see that there is a large hole in the right wall of this C.W house. Walk through that hole in the wall.

You end up on a jetty path that goes over the water to a lift cage. Follow this jetty path to the lift cage.

Get in the elevator and operate the lift handle and ...... The lift is powered by hydro power and you go up with it.

Above you can walk to the left building but that makes little sense now because the red door is locked on the inside.

Go left and follow the wooden path further upwards. You can the go left, over the stone "bridge", but that will bring you to the purple wall and you still can't go through it.

So follow the path to the right and ...... you will come to a water lock / sluice, above the waterfall ...

On the other side you of the sluice stand the lever with which you can open the sluice. Walk to the very end of the path  and then look down .........

You can see that the waterfall is dry and deep down, you also see the dam doors ...

Walk back and then the wooden bridge, behind the lock gate, to the lock handle and move lever to the other side to open the lock ..... the water will flow and the waterfall is now activated.

Go back to the lift cage and go back down with the cage and then walk over the scaffolding path back to the CW house. Leave the CW house and go through the open ing in the fence back outside. Go left, to the river. At the river go left first because at the waterfall  you can again activate a Josef hologram, which then tells something about the waterfall.

Then go to the dam doors. On a jetty in the river, in front of the dam doors,  stand the lever with witch you can open up the dam doors. You can pull the lever then nothing happens because the pressure on both doors is the same. Continue to the dam doors . A propeller blade protrudes at both dam doors. You can pull the left and right propeller blade separately from each other and lift them up again.

Pull the right propeller blade down. Then walk back to the lever on the jetty and push it to the left

Now the dam door opens and because you have lowered the right propeller blade you can now follow the right bank of the river.

So walk back to the dam and go over the grate to the other side of the dam and then follow the path, behind the dam, further.

You pass a strange concrete structure, it is a large stone sphere with a rotating mechanism underneath that gets its power from a motorcycle.

On one of the concrete poles, at the front, you will find a green button, which you can press but nothing happens now because there is no electricity.

A bit further you'll find a demolition site, a junk yard, on the left and on the right you see a few train wagons and an old locomotive.

Behind the concrete sphere, and thus to the right of the train depot, you see a rock. In that rock you see a door that you can reach via a gangway. In that rock is the house of mayor Josef and that door is the back door of that house. But the mayor's back door is locked on the inside, so there's no point in going to that door now. You can walk to the fence of the demolition site but it is locked. So walk to the train depot.

A locomotive is located at the back right of the train depot. Cables and a red pipe cross over the train depot and that red pipe goes to that locomotive. Follow the red pipe to the locomotive. Walk up the plank and you will come to a control panel. The locomotive apparently serves as the power generator for Hunrath.

You see 2 switches and a meter. On the round meter you can see that the fuel tank is empty. First you have to put the red switch down, then you close the drain of the tank.

You can now turn the green switch upwards to ON, but you can also do this later, if you are back here in a few moments.....I have done this now

Turn around and walk back down over the plank. Now Follow the red fuel pipe ....... Where the red pipe leaves the train depot you can also do that via a plank

The red fuel pipe continues as a petrol hose and it goes to a garage, which you already see in the distance. However, first go to the fence of the demolition site.

Behind the boulder that stands in front of the fence, you will find a metal plate on the fence with a kind of map of Hunrath .......

On this plate you see that all locations in Hunrath have no power now. Now proceed to the Garage .....In front of the garage, against the rock wall, is a telephone booth.

The garage is closed ..... you can not go inside, but the garage has two petrol pumps.

The petrol hose, which is connected to the red fuel pipe, sticks into the left petrol pump and the pump has a turning handle. Click on the handle of the left pump and .......

The handle then turns around and you hear that gas will flow through the hose ..... you have to keep this going. So keep turning the handle and.......At some point the handle turns automatically back and you're done.

Go back to the locomotive and look again at the round meter ... if you have turned the handle of the petrol pump long enough then the tank of the locomotive is now full with petrol

The red arrow in the round meter is now on the right. It is time to start the engine. Slide the cover plate to the left, to cover the meter. You see a looking glass, a red light and a switch.

  • First pull the switch to the left to set it on "prime" and hold the switch

  • fuel is now running into the glass.

  • When the glass is full, the light turns yellow and you can release the switch.

  • Then pull the switch to the right to "start" and hold again ...... The engine will start.........

  • Keep holding the switch until the light is bright green.

You have given Hunrath power again. Go back to the map, on the fence of the demolition site ........

On the map you can see that most places in Hunrath now have power, but there are still a few places that do not get power.

Walk back to the concrete sphere and then follow the path along the river back to the dam doors.

On the way you see that you can also go up the dam doors via a stone staircase, but because there is a bridge above it, it does not make much sense to do that now.

Walk onto the dam doors and then continue to the village and go back to the house of CW ...........

Enter CW's house again and go to the vault door and press the green button again and ......

CW appears again and tells about the red beam. That red beam is responsible that you can not go through the purple wall, so you have to destroy the red beam and we will do that in:
