Part 6: The Lost Temple of Ra

A: Scarab Weight Puzzle

Bath House of Ra:

From the River of Death you are now swimming in a kind of swimming pool. This is not a temple, so I will name this as the Bath House of Ra, but if you have a better name for it then that's fine by me. Swim ahead and when you can't go forward anymore turn right and go forwards to go out of the pool. Go forwards until you cant go any further

Turn left, forwards 2 clicks, turn left and forwards to the other side. You are walking at the front side of the pool. 

While going forwards you also look to your right to see the Exit / Entrance of this bath house.

When you are on the other side of the pool turn left and then go all the way to the back wall. 

While you do that you notice the statue that sits above the entrance of the River of Death, from witch you came.

So you are in fact on the right side of the pool now

At the back wall you turn right and .......a statue sits in the corner. Go to the statue and zoom in on it

Take notice of the 3 colored geometric symbols that this statue has on his chest.....A red rectangle, green circle, blue circle. On it's lap you see 3 circles. The circles 1 and 3 are "open" but circle 2 is "closed". Because circle 2 is "closed" you conclude that this must be Statue #2 and you also conclude that there also must be Statue 1 and Statue 3 somewhere

Now note down that Statue #2 has a red rectangle, green circle, blue circle, but of course you can also take a photo of the statue

Turn around and go back to the front side and then to the left side of the pool and on the left side go all the way to the back wall as well. 

Then turn left and.....in this left corner is a doorway

Go through this doorway and you are in a small corridor. 

Keep clicking forwards and you go up a couple of stairs and eventually you will be outside on the top of the left outer wall of the pool

Cross over to the doorway in that you see in the tower and while you do this notice the "gong" that hangs above the entrance, between the two towers

You will be inside the right tower, again  in a narrow corridor. 

Just keep clicking forwards and again you go up a couple of stairs and then you are in the upper corridor.

Take one step further forwards and then turn completely around to see another sitting statue against the back wall. Go to this statue and zoom in on it

This statue has a red circle, green rectangle, blue circle on it's chest. 

On his lap are also the 3 circles of witch circle one is "closed", so you conclude that this is Statue #1

So note down: Statue #2 has: red circle, green rectangle, blue circle, but of course you can also take a photo of the statue. Turn around and go forwards and then outside trough the doorway. You are now on outside and between the two towers and above the entrance of the pool. On your right hangs the big "gong".  Turn left and then go onto the "balcony" 

.....look down to have a nice view of the pool from above

Look up again and turn around. You look at the big "gong". Below the gong you see a copper colored scarab.

Go to the gong and zoom all the way in on that scarab. Take the scarab because you'll need it at the 4 Pharaohs statues that are on the other side of the lake

You will have this scarab in your backpack

Zoom out, turn left and go into the corridor of the left tower and go to statue #3 that stand at the back wall of the corridor.

You know that this is statue #3 because the 3rd circle on his lap is "closed". Note down that statue #3 has a green rectangle, blue circle, red rectangle on his chest

Turn around, one step forwards, turn around again and go down the stairs to the......

Between the two sitting statues hangs on oval plaque with the Scarab Weigh puzzle on the wall. On the lap of the left statue lies a little silver ball.....that little silver ball is a scarab weight and you need it, so take that silver scarab weight ball. Then zoom in on the Scarab weigh puzzle to take a good look at it. 

You see 3 balls on which you also see the colored rectangles and circles that you also saw on the 3 statues #1 #2 #3. There are 3 rods sticking out  and each rod  has 1 Scarab Weight. The rods are therefore not in balance. You need to balance all 3 rods  first, otherwise you cannot click on the 3 balls. To get the rods in balance you must hang the missing balls on the rods. The first of the 3 missing scarab weight balls have you found already, so you must find the other 2 balls. If you want you can put the scarab weight ball, that you have taken from the lap of the left statue here, on one of the rods now, or you wait until you come back here when you've found the other two balls,

Anyway, zoom out, turn around and go back upstairs and then follow the entire route you came, back down to the pool. 

You probably can use the warp function to do this quickly. 

When you're back down at the pool go to the front side and exit the "Bath House" through the front entrance / Exit

The 4 Pharaohs

Outside the "Bath House" you are at a lake in de desert. On the other side of the lake are 4 stone Pharaohs sitting against the mountain ridge. One of the Pharaohs has lost his head. You can go left and right and back into to "Bath House". Left goes to the Golden Pyramid, witch is the actual Temple of Ra. But we now first go to those 4 stone Pharaohs on the other side of the lake

So turn right and follow the beach to the palm trees you see in the distance. 

At the last palm tree you just click ahead to get past the tree and then you go on follow the beach around the lake. 

When you are around the bent you see a stone gate on the island. That gate is the "Scarab Shrine". 

Walk to the palm trees and then turn left......Via the stepping stones you can cross through the water to the "Scarab Shrine", so do that

Just keep clicking forwards until you stand on top of the gate. . On top of the stone gate 3 orange "domes". Zoom in on the 3 "domes". There are ankh symbols on the 3 domes.

 Click with your "hand" on each of the 3 "domes to open them and then write down which color you see. 

From left to right: Blue, Green (or is it yellow), Red. Remember these colors because you need it to solve the puzzle of the Golden Pyramid

Zoom out, turn around and go down and onto the beach again via the stepping stones in the water. 

Then turn left and now follow the beach all the way further to the 4 stone Pharaohs

Walk on until you are standing in the lake at the ramp between the second and the 3rd Pharaoh. 

Then keep clicking forwards until you are on the beach on the other side of the 4 Pharaohs

Click forwards until you can't go further and then turn around......You look back the way you came and you see the fallen head of the second Pharaoh. 

You see the left ear of the head an d you notice that there's something in that ear.

Zoom in on the ear of the head and.....there's your 2e silver Scarab Weight Ball that's stuck in  this ear, so take the ball

Zoom out ands go back through the water to the ramp and now turn left to stand right in front of that ramp

Go 1 click forwards and stop. You look at a doorway between the feet of the second and the 3rd Pharaoh. We shall go look in that corridor in a minute

For now turn left and jump over the boulders and continue to the end of this left side walkway

When you are at the end you automatically turn right and you look into an alley, behind the Pharaohs. A skeleton sits in the alley. Go to the skeleton

At the skeleton stand a red pot in the sand. Zoom in on the pot and take the 3rd Scarab Weight Ball out of it

Zoom out, turn around and go back to the walkway and then back to the doorway that's between the second and the 3rd Pharaoh

Now go and take a look in this dead end corridor. Click forwards into the corridor until you can't go further and......You look up to see the scarab that's on the ceiling. This is just as the scarab you saw below the big "gong" and this one has a hole in the middle. You can try if the scarab you took at the "gong" will fit in the hole but it doesn't

Remember this scarab in this corridor because you will come back here in a few minutes. 

Turn around, forwards, turn left and then follow the right side walkway until you're standing at the boulders.

Then turn left and.....you look into a stairs corridor that's between the 3rd and the 4th Pharaoh. 

You now must go all the way up until you are high up on the head of the 3rd Pharaoh. So keep clicking forwards to first climb up the stair and when you're on top of the stair you automatically turn left and look up. Now just keep clicking the Up/ Forwards arrow (or scarab cursor) to keep climbing up the 3rd Pharaoh

This climbing goes in a few stages but finally you will be all the way up

Turn left to face the "balcony" On the lowest step of the "balcony" is such a Scarab thing.

Zoom all the way in on that scarab thing. Then open up your backpack an select the Scarab that you've taken from the scarab thing at the big "Gong".

Place your Scarab on the Scarab that's on the stone step of the balcony. Then click the scarab to turn it round.....You hear a noise...something has open up now.....

Zoom out and now go stand on the top step of this "balcony.....On top of this "balcony" you see 3 circles with a symbol in them. 

Look down to have a better view of these 3 circles......Each of these 3 symbols represents an animal and you need to recognize them,  so take a photo of this

 These 3 circles are the 3 Orange "domes" that you saw on top of the Scarab Shrine 

The symbols in the 3 circles represent 3 animals. You do not know witch 3 animals they are but you can match the colors of the 3 Scarab Shrine "domes" to the circles. So the animal in the left circle belong to the color blue, the animal in the middle circle belongs to the color yellow and the animal in the right circle belongs to the color red. You need this to solve the Puzzle of the Golden Pyramid. Look up, turn around and now go all the way back down to the lake. 

You can probably use the warp function to get down in one go.

When you're down again go back into that dead end corridor between the 2e and the 3r Pharaoh

......see....a scroll is now sticking out of the hole of the scarab on the ceiling.

Take the Scroll and take a good look at it

This is the Ra scroll and you need it to solve the Golden Pyramid puzzle

Note the two columns of symbols to the left of the scroll and the two columns of animal figures to the right of the scroll. A symbol and an animal always belong together. The symbols in the left column belongs to the animals in the left animal column. The symbols in the right column belongs to the animals in the right animal column. In the two symbol columns you see the 3 symbols that are in the 3 circles you saw on top of the 3rd Pharaoh. So you can now match those 3 symbols to an animal and to a the colors blue, yellow, red. So you need the combine the colors of the 3 "domes" that you saw on top of the Scarab Shrine with the 3 symbol circles on top of the 3r Pharaoh and then you look on the Ra scroll witch animal belongs to those 3 symbols, like this

And because you also know to witch colors you must match the animals, via the colors of the "domes" on top of the Scarab Shrine, you now also now the colors of the 3 animals

You need all this information to solve the puzzle of the Golden Pyramid

Store the Scroll in your inventory and turn around.

Solve the Scarab Weight puzzle

Okay....you now also have all you need to solve the Scarab Weight puzzle, so let's go do that now

Go back to the Scarab Weight puzzle, below statue #3 in the left entrance tower of the "Bath house"...

.....just follow the same route that you took to get here at the 4 stone pharaohs. When you're there then zoom in on the plague with the balls and the rods

The oval plaque has 3 balls on which you see the colored rectangles and circles that you also saw on the sitting statues #1 #2 #3.  There are 3 rods protruding from the plaque and 1 Scarab Weight ball is attached to each rod. The rods are therefore not in balance. You have to balance all 3 bars first, otherwise you cannot click on the 3 balls. So open your inventory and take out your 3 Scarab Weights Balls, one by one, and then click them at the of the chains of the 3 iron rods. 

The 3 rods are then in balance. 

Now you can click on the three balls, in the middle of the oval plague, to turn them up or down. So you have to set the correct color code on these 3 balls, according to the codes that you have seen on the 3 sitting statues and also in the right 1, 2, 3 order, according to the black circles that you have seen on their laps: As follows:

Top Ball = Statue 1 = Red Circle, Green Bar, Blue Circle

      Middle Ball = Statue 2 = Red Bar, Green Circle, Blue Circle

    Bottom Ball = Statue 3 = Green Bar, Blue Circle, Red Bar.

Once you've done this, step back, turn around and go back upstairs to the hallway with statue #3. 

Then go outside where the gong is hanging and go back onto that balcony.

On the balcony you walk again to the edge and then you look down again at the "swimming pool" and ....... In the "swimming pool" you now see 3 figures ..... From top to bottom you now see in the water of the "pool": a Circle with a dot in the middle, a Cobra, a Yacht and waves. Take a photo of it because this is the solution for the entrance door of the Golden Pyramid of Ra, which we will go to now

B: To the Golden Pyramid:

Look up again, turn around and then follow the route all the way down to the pool and then leave this "Bath House" again to the lake. You see the 4 stone Pharaohs again. We now go left, so turn left and then just keep clicking forwards along the beach. You will come to a bunch of palm trees and behind those palm trees you will see a stone arch, witch is the entrance of a narrow canyon

Go through the narrow canyon and then further forwards to the Golden Pyramid

 C: The Golden Pyramid:

Puzzle 1: Open the Pyramid's door

Go up to the door of the golden pyramid. There's a panel in the door. Click that panel and it will slide open.

The panel has 4 tumblers on witch you must set the correct symbols. Zoom further in on the  panel

There are 4 tumblers on witch you can set all kind of symbols. With your cursor you can scroll the tumblers up and down to get other symbols on then. You must turn the 4 tumblers to the 4 symbols that you saw in the pool, after you solved the Scarab Weight puzzle and you must do this from top to bottom, so:  Circle, Cobra, Yacht, Waves. 

When done correctly then the door will open up. It must be like this

 Go in. Inside the pyramid are 3 large Pharaoh statues, left, center, right. 

You always only see the bottom half of those 3 statues. To the left and right of the legs of each statue you see a Gods head and also a Sphere with a hole. 

You can't do anything with this yet. First, the 3 statues must be "activated". 

So turn back to the entrance and then go back outside and turn right.

Go forward 6 clicks and then turn right.

You are now on the left side of the pyramid and you can climb up here. Climb all the way up

a large "Silver Dome" with animals in it's outer rim protruding from the pyramid. Climb all the way up....... You will see a Blue Ball with a Cobra attached.

Go up 2 more clicks up to be zoomed in on the top of this "silver dome".

Remember those 3 Orange "domes" on top of the stone gate in the bend of the lake? And those 3 circles on top of the rocks of the 4 giant statues? Via the colors and the Ra Scroll you then concluded that with Blue belongs the Snail, with Green the Cobra and with Red the Owl. Well, this is the Blue Dome. 

So you see the 12 animal symbols in the outer edge of the dome. You can rotate the dome with your mouse cursor and thus put a different animal under the Blue Ball. If you now see this entire silver dome as a clock, the blue ball is at the "12 o'clock" position. You know that the Snail belongs to the Blue Dome. So now you have to put the Snail under the Blue Ball, but you have to remember that you now see everything "upside down". The Snail should therefore not be  at "12 o'clock" but at "6 o'clock". You achieve this by now putting the Fish under the blue ball, so at "12 o'clock". Then the Snail is at the "6 o'clock" position. 

So now turn the dome until you have the Fish under the Blue Ball. 

Then place your cursor at the top right of your screen and then click the Down index finger 3 times in a row. You now see the bottom of the silver dome again and you see that the Snail is now at 6 o'clock. Under the silver dome, click the Down index finger twice to go back down and then turn left. Go forward 6 clicks again and then turn right. You are now at the back of the pyramid and here also is a silver Dome.

Climb all the way up again. Another "Silver Dome" and this one has a Yellow Ball. Zoom in on the edge. So this is the yellow Dome. Yellow is the Cobra. So the Cobra must come to the "6 o'clock" position and you achieve that by putting the Lobster at the "12 o'clock" position. Do that and then zoom out 3 times and you will see the Cobra at the "6 o'clock" position.

Climb down again 2 clicks and turn left. Go forward 6 clicks and turn right. You are now on the right side of the pyramid. 

Climb all the way up again. Red Ball, so the Red Dome. Zoom in on the edge. So red was the Owl. 

To get the Owl to the "6 o'clock" position you need to put the Bird at the "12 o'clock" position. 

As soon as you have set the Bird to 12 o'clock here, you will hear a loud Click sound. This is the sign that you have set the correct animal to the "6 o'clock" position on all three sides of the pyramid. Go back down and then turn left again and go forward 6 clicks again. Turn right. You are now at the front of the Golden Pyramid again, right in front of the entrance. Enter the pyramid again

In the 6 stone ramps of each statue are now notches in which you now have to put a Stone Tablet. Each of the 3 statues now has 2 of those "notches". If all is correct then you have found 6 Stone Tablet. Each of your Stone Tablets has the image of a God and those 6 God images are also on the statues. So you have to place the correct Stone Tablet in the correct notch. You see the head of the God depicted above the globes. Every time you have placed a correct Tablet, a Scroll will appear in the Globe. Then always grab this Scroll and place it in your inventory. I start with the Left Statue, so Statue 2, then Statue 1 and I finish this with Statue 3.:

Left Statue (2): 

Left side = Anubis. Place the Anubis Tablet. Right side = Hator. Place the Hator Tablet

Take the Giza Scroll from the left sphere and take the Mayan scroll from the right sphere

Middle Statue (1): Left side = Horus. Place the Horus Tablet and . Right side = Sobek. Place the Sobek Tablet 

grab the Easter Island Scroll and grab the Atlantis Scroll from the spheres

Right Statue (3): Left side = Tauert. Place the Tauert Tablet and . Left side = Toth. Place the Toth Tablet 

grab the Bermuda Scroll and grab the Stonehenge Scroll from the spheres

You're done here and now you must go back to the Funeral Yacht Chamber inside the Great Pyramid to further investigate the Queen's Corridor.

So leave the Golden Pyramid and go back to the "Bath House" and enter it again

Wade through the pool to the entrance of the River of Death and......

Go through the River of Death caves / tunnels to the Scarab Statue and from the Scarab Statue to the Crocodile, witch is the entrance of the cave below the Funeral Yacht Chamber

Enter the cave through the crocodile and go up to the Funeral Yacht Chamber

You are back in the Funeral Yacht Room. 3 clicks forward. Click "hand" on the stairs and then 12 clicks forward to get to the top. 

Click "hand" in the doorway. You are now under the round shaft again. Look up and then climb up through the shaft.

You are then back up in the space behind the Lonely Sitting Pharaoh. 

Go forward, turn right and then go forward 5 clicks to return to the Queens Corridor through the crawl hole in the wall
