Awakening, Riddle of the Sphinx 1 Enhanched Edition part 8

If you have found this walkthrough via google search or via another site then you have probably not visited my site.

You are back at the Sphinx Dig site. Step out of the helicopter and go to the scaffolding bridge at Gil's tent.

Go over the scaffolding bridge and then down and then cross under the scaffold to the tunnel in the side wall of the Sphinx

Follow the tunnel all the way to the down until you can't go any further and you are then zoomed in again on the big round stone door

Now take a good look at the door. In the outer ring of the door you see 6 yellow keyholes. Those keyholes are at 1 o'clock, at 3 o'clock, at 5 o'clock, at 7 o'clock, at 9 o'clock and at 11 o'clock. You now need to put your 6 Golden Keys in those keyholes..... But which key must go in which keyhole?. Now open your inventory and look up the 6 scrolls you have found inside the pyramid and the 6 Golden Keys you have taken from the 6 Arks. Each of your 6 Golden Keys has a symbol...compare the symbols of the keys with the symbols on the 6 scrolls and you know witch key belongs to witch scroll

So those are the: Bermuda Scroll, the Atleantian Scroll, the Eastern Island Scroll, the Mayan Pyramid Scroll, the Giza Scroll and the Stonehenge Scroll.

On each of these 6 scrolls you will also see the large round door drawn and on each of these 6 scrolls there is a SYMBOL drawn in the door. Then compare these symbols with the circle symbols you saw on the Sacred Scroll and you will find out in witch keyhole you must place which Golden Ark Key. Then, one by one, take the Golden Ark Keys from your inventory and click them on the correct keyhole in the door. So select each key at a time and place the key in the correct keyhole.

NB: In the original 2000 version of the game it was that If you click on an already placed key with another key, you would lose a key and you will not be able to finish the game.

I don't know if this is still the case in this remake because I haven't try this out

As soon as you have placed the last Golden Key correctly, the Big Round Door will open

Here's the correct order:

At 1 o'clock = the Stonehenge Key
At 3 o'clock = the Bermuda Key.
At 5 o'clock = the Eastern Island Key.
At 7 o'clock = the Atlantis Key
At 9 o'clock = the Mayan Key
At 11 o'clock = the Giza Key

The big round door goes open but.....another round Circle will come up

Go to the new "door" and zoom in on it. On the left side you see a Knob. You must pull the Knob up and if you do that then you'll see different Star Constellations appear inside the circle

What is the correct Star Constellation now? Do you remember seeing two star maps in the large drawer of Gil's desk, in Gil's tent? One of these maps showed the star constellation SPHINX 10,500 BC. Well, that's the correct Star Constellation that you now must get inside this blue circle. But if you get the wrong constellation when you let go of the knob then you'll die

Okay....click / hold the Knob and then drag the Knob up until you see the correct Star Constellation inside the circle and then let go of the Knob

Look in this screenshot at the position of the Knob and then drag your knob to that position to get the correct Star Constellation

The circle disappears and you see the Golden Ark...Go to the ark and click on the thing a few times and.......

.......... a bright light now shines in your eyes and you hear a woman's voice. Then Gil shows up.

Gil now tells his whole story and he goes on and on and it is pretty boring. When Gil is finished, he disappears through the round and you are again in front of the Golden Ark.

Well, you still have a lot of antique stuff in your backpack. Quickly delete the game from your computer to get rid of all this old crap. What should you do with it anyway. 20 years ago I would say to you to run to the store to buy Riddle of the Sphinx 2: The Omega Stone, but I really don't know if you can get this game now in 2021......I also wrote a very nice and extensive Dutch Walkthrough for that game to, back in 2002
