Chapter
11: Olympic Stadium and the Swimming Pool
Youkol
camp
When
Kate is back on the ground, go a few steps to the right. Bouruth comes around and says that he has arranged a hut for Kate. Thank
him and talk to Oscar at the gate. Then walk to the campfire. You see a tent
with antlers on a stick in front of it, go to the left side of the tent. There
is Kurk and the shaman. Talk to them,
Kate
actually wants to go to bed but there is no time for that because she has to go
find the entrance of a holy Youkol temple because it is almost red moon. Kurk
and the shaman explain what that means and how the guide of the previous
migration helped to hide the temple. Somewhere there is a hidden entrance and
they have to find it, but they have no clues where that is. Kurk and the shaman
also pronounce a holy spell. The shaman then runs away,
Talk
to Kurk for a while. Then walk along the tent in the direction of the stadium.
Then
go to the right, you will see an open and a closed fence. Walk to the closed
gate and enter it.
Cemetery
Walk
a bit further to a few Youkols who are talking there. Behind an open gate you
will see a path with steps, follow the path up and you will arrive at a
cemetery.
Walk
further across the cemetery, you can view all the graves but you will not be
wiser. Then walk to a log cabin and knock on the door
There
is apparently no one in the log cabin, so Kate goes inside and inside she finds
a book on the table, it is a diary of the guide of the last migration.
Suddenly
the woman you saw earlier is behind Kate and she takes the diary from Kate's
hands.
Talk
to the young woman .....
she turns out to be the granddaughter of the Youkol who
managed to hide the temple. Kate tries to convince the woman to give the diary
to her. In the first instance, Kate does not succeed because the girl does not
trust her. But when Kate pronounces the Holy Saying, the girl trusted Kate and
gives the diary. Kate wants to give the diary to Kurk to translate it and she
then leaves the log cabin.
When
Kate is outside again, you will see a candle-lit cave.
Kate
looks at a stone altar in the cave. Zoom in on the bottom stone and ...... Kate
reads the text engraved in the stone
A
strange object protrudes into the upper stone. Click on that strange object
........ Kate says something is wrong.
Zoom
in on the object and then take it ..... It turns out to be a Youkol lens 01
Leave
the cave. Now follow the route back down .....
......
and then through the fence back to the forecourt of the stadium.
Go
back to the Youkol camp.
Look
for Kurk again, who is still in the same place as before, and talk to him.
Use
all the options you get ... Kate
tells Kurk about the young woman in the log cabin and that she is very lonely.
Kate asks Kurk if he wants to visit the young woman and that is what Kurk wants.
Kate then gives Kurk the diary with the request to translate it and, after a few
moments, Kate gets the translated book back.
Read
the translated journal in the documents inventory (J). Scroll through the diary
and always click on "READ" to read the translated texts.
On
2 pages you see a total of 5 Youkol symbols and you read what the symbols mean.
These
5 symbols are: Mourning, Sacrifice, Madness, Pain, and Death ...... Remember
these 5 symbols because you have to enter them somewhere.
Go
back to the closed fence of the cemetery, but do not go through that fence
again. Now enter the stadium through the open gate.
Then
go right in the corner to the escalator and with the escalator up, then go left
along the glass wall.
Follow
that corridor, halfway through a short corridor to the left with a door in the
back. Go through that door into room.
To
the right of the door you will find a display chest with cups. View the showcase
....... The cups are "the signs of vanity" that the Youkol book speaks
about.
On
one of the shelves you get a white point, there is something you need to get.
Kate,
however, has to destroy the glass to get the object, but to do so she must
protect her hands. Select the scarf that Kate has received from Sarah, and then
click on the glass.
Kate
wraps the scarf around her hand and then smashes the glass ... she is left with
a few small scrapes on her hand. Then take a Youkol lens 03 out the display
chest.......
You
can take a look around here, but you cannot do anything else here. Leave this
room and go back to the hallway. Follow the corridor to the right, until you
come to an escalator again.
Go
down the escalator and talk to the Youkol standing there. This Youkol points to
the chair on the floor and says that it must be clues for the secret temple.
Zoom
in on the seat and then click / pull open the flap under the seat,
You
will then see 6 rolls with the symbols that you also saw in the book. You now
have to turn the right symbols on the rolls. In the book you saw 5 symbols.....
There
are 6 rolls, so you have to set 6 symbols, so on 2 rolls you have to turn the
same symbol.
From
left to right you turn these symbols on the rolls: sacrifice, pain, death, yet
another sacrifice, mourning and madness ....
If
you have the combination correct then the seat jumps open and you can pull it
up. Below that you will find the Youkol lens 02,
Take
the lens and then go down over the wide staircase.
Down
through the hallway to the gate, through the gate to the outside and then go
right through the gate to the forecourt of the stadium.
Then
walk past the stadium to the left ....... At a certain point you will see on the
left, 2 lampposts with a path in between go through those 2 lampposts and .....
Follow
the path to the door of the "Pool" and enter it
Swimming
pool:
The
Lenses puzzle
Kate
is in the pool. The bath is empty. Kate is at the door and at the diving tower.
Go
from the door to the right and then around the corner and follow the edge of the
swimming pool until you see a ladder. Descend down the ladder to the bottom of
the pool
When
you get to the bottom, you move Kate to the right, to the end of the bath. On
the wall you see a strange mosaic with lamps in it: 4 blue, 2 green and 1 red.
Click
on the mosaic so that Kate takes a closer look and says something about it ....
Walk
back to the ladder and climb up again and then walk back to the diving tower and
climb up to the top board
Walk
to the end of the plank ..... At the end you will find 3 holes in the board
Zoom
in on those holes ....... then select Youkol lens 01 and click it in the middle
hole.
You
will then see a green ray. Then select 1 of the other 2 lenses and click it in
the left or right hole.
If
it is correct, you see a coloured ray, otherwise you have to click the lens on
the other hole. Then select the last lens and then click on the last hole.
You
now have 3 coloured rays. Kate now looks up through the roof and sees the red
moon, if the moon is in the right place then at the bottom of the pool a number
of mirrors/lenses rises up out the floor.
Kate
now has to play with the mirrors / lenses to focus the beams on the right places
and she gets help from the Youkols.
·
The red beam of
R 0 must be connected to R 1 in the mosaic on the other side.
·
The green beam
of G 0 has to be split and then connected with G 1 and G 2, in the mosaic on the
other side.
·
The blue beam
of B 0 has to be split 2 times and then connected to B 1, B 2, B 3 and B 4, in
the mosaic on the other side.
Zoom
in at the end of the diving board.
Kate
kneels down. Then zoom
in again and ......
.......
you now get a view of the bath from above
You
start with the green beam.
A:
Green Ray to G1 and G2 in the mosaic
........Green
Beam G0 to G1 and G2 in the mosaic
Zoom
in on G0
.....
You are at the bottom at lens G0 .... Turn the G0 to the left until the green
beam falls on lens 2
Zoom
out .... you will return to the top view of the swimming pool.
The
green beam goes from G0 to 2 and then to 8. At 8 the green beam is split.
Now
click on 8 and turn 8 now (so you do NOT zoom in on 8) until 1 green beam goes
to 3 and a 2nd ray to 22.
The
pivot points for the green beam are now 15 and 17. Zoom in at 15. You go back to
the bottom.
Turn
the 15 now until 1 of the green rays falls on G1 the mosaic.
Zoom
out to the top view and zoom in on 17.
You
are then back on the bottom at lens / mirror 17. Now turn 17 until the green
beam falls on G2 in the mosaic and ....... then Kate screams READY....
Zoom
out. Green is ready. We continue with the blue ray
B:
Blue Ray to B1, B2, B3 and B4 in the mosaic
Zoom
in on B0 ..... you go back to the bottom of the pool, to B0. Turn the beam from
B0 to 5
At
5 the blue ray is split. Zoom out to the overview of the bath. Click on 5
Turn
now 5 so that 1 blue ray goes to 6 and the other goes to 18.
From
6 the blue ray then goes to 1 and from there to 7. At 7 this beam is also split
again.
Click on 7 and turn it so that a beam goes to 9 and a beam to 10. Via 9
and 10 the blue ray is then forwarded to B1 and B2 in the mosaic
You
can check whether the blue ray now really radiates on B1 and B2 by zooming in on
the mosaic
We
now continue with the radius to 18, this continues to 21 and further to 19.
Zoom
in on 19 .........
.....
turn the beam from 19 to 16, where this beam is split.
Zoom
out to the overview screen and then click on 16
Turn
16 so that a ray goes to 11 and also a ray goes to 12
Then
zoom in on 11 and point the beam at B 4 in the mosaic.
Zoom
out to the overview screen and then zoom in on 12 and ........
......
point the ray of 12 on B 3 into the mosaic. ...... "Perfect" Kate
calls out
The
blue beam is now ready, so zoom out ..... we continue with:
C:
Bring the red ray from R0 to R1 in the mosaic
Zoom
in on R0 ..........
Aim
the ray of R0 to 4,
Zoom
out to the overview screen.
from
4 the red ray goes through a pair of mirrors to 13. Zoom in on 13 and turn 13 so
that the red ray falls on R1 in the mosaic .....
You
are done with this puzzle.
Kate
calls again that it is good. The Youkols cheer that it has been possible to open
the temple.
You zoom in on the middle of the mosaic and you see three lamps lit,
red, green and blue. The middle part rotates and the mosaic slides open
Go
down of the diving tower and climb to the bottom of the pool, then walk to the
entrance of the temple. Enter the temple,
you
will see the ceremony begins ........
....
Kate then gets a vision, she does not feel good afterwards.
Oscar
brings Kate back to the Youkols camp. Kate talks to Oscar for a moment and then
goes to sleep.
The
next morning you see the caravan moving on,
when
they are stopped Kate leaves the Jurt. We have ended up in:
