Chapter 9: Baranour part 2

  A: Drag the Krystal onto the beach.

  Leave the Krystal again and return to the wide staircase and via the stairs back up to the gate of the amusement park. 

Go through the gate again and ............. Kate hears a noise. In a short video you see a cart arriving on the rail.

  Walk from the gate to the right, to the stairs, and go up the stairs.

  At the top there is a railcar on the platform and at the rail car there is a note on the ground. Take the note and read it in your inventory.

  The note says something about railcar number 3 and you just have heard and seen this railcar arrive here. If you had gone here before, this car would not have been here.

  Railcar number 3 is on the left on the rails, so walk to it and sit in it.

  When Kate is in railcar 3 you see the control of the car ..... move the screen to the right, to the passenger seat ..... Zoom in and .....

  A metal bar is located in the passenger seat. Take the metal bar.

  Zoom out and then zoom in on the dashboard. On the note and also on the poster in the workshop, you saw that with car 3 you need: 15 and 25.

  Turn the turning handle, top left, until the arrow in the round gauge points at 50.

  Then select in the inventory 1 of the 2 metal rods and click on the 25, to place the metal rod at this place in the meter. Insert the other metal rod on15 in the meter.

  There are now 2 bars in the meter. Now click on the lever at the top right and pull it down and ......

  Just sit down because Kate is going to take a ride on the roller coaster.

  A bit later, the cart stops somewhere in the middle. Now pull out the metal rod at 25 in the round meter and ..........

  ......... the ride continues and we stop at a kind of platform. End stop for Kate, so get out of the railcar.

  There is a hatch in the floor. Go through the hatch and ..... Kate climbs down the ladder.

Then walk through the doorway and descend the stairs to the train platform. Walk back along the train and then enter the last car.

  It seems that someone lives in the car. Walk backwards. Near the bed is a photo album on the mirror cabinet. Grab the photo album.

View the photo album in your document inventory ..... Browse through the photo album to the last page. On the last page Kate sees a picture of a woman who became 2nd in a miss election in 1919. This is important information for Kate so make sure you've seen this picture.

  Leave the car and ........ When Kate leaves the car she is stopped by a big woman with a mechanical dog and a gun.

This is the occupant of the car and her name is Katharina. The dog suddenly falls down on the ground and Katharina takes care of the dog and she uses a Voralberg activation key and Kate needs this for Oscar. Talk to Katharina via all options. Start by introducing yourself. Kate knows that Katharina is the woman of the photo in the photo album. So use the "Photo album" options and ........  

  ...... after a little talk Kate gets from Katharina the Voralberg activation key.

Kate is back on the platform. If you zoom in on the wall you can then view a memorial, but this is not really necessary.

  The memorial is for Katharina's deceased husband and it contains some flowers and other things.

  Zoom out and run back to the stairs. Go back up and then walk to the right. Then down and .....

Kate climbs up a flight of stairs and she lands in the blocked hallway where she already was, but then she was on the other side of the rubble.

  Turn around, go down the stairs and return to the ladder.

  Climb back up the ladder and get back into the railcar.

  Zoom in on the dashboard and pull the metal rod out of the hole at 15, and ......

  ........... the cart drives back to the station at the park. Get out and see the shaman and Kurk here, talk to them.

  Kate says she will try to drag the Krystal onto the beach so that the snow ostrich can leave the ship. Ask Kurk if the Youkols can clean up the debris from the blocked corridor because that corridor is necessary for the snow ostrich.

  Go down and leave the park.

  Go down the wide stairs and walk towards Oscar.

  Zoom in on Oscar and pull open the breastplate.

  Zoom in on the heart. Select the activation key and click on the heart.

  You have to turn the key, clockwise, until Kate automatically takes the key out of the heart again.

  Oscar comes to life and wants to help but first he has to have clothes. Kate promises to get clothes for him.

  Go back to the park and return to the railcar via the stone staircase, get back in the railcar and zoom in again on the control panel

  Turn the lever left again until the hand is at 50, put a metal bar in the hole at 25 and the other bar at 15.

  Pull the handle down on the right and enjoy the ride again, when you stop pull out the rod at 25 again.

  You then stop at that platform, click in the hatch to descend the ladder. Continue downstairs and walk to the last car and enter again and .......

Katharina is listening to a radio play. A few Youkols are listening with Katharina. Kate gets mad at those Youkols and sends them away to continue digging. Then talk to Katharina and Kate will return the key. Kate ask for clothes for Oscar. Kate then gets the key to her wardrobe from Katharina.

  Walk to the bed, on the right is the wardrobe. Zoom in on the wardrobe and then use the key you received from Katharina.

  Oscar then walked in. Talk to Oscar and then Oscar takes a few clothes out of the closet and dress. Then talk to Oscar for a while.

  Kate and Oscar will meet at the tractor on the pier. Leave the car and go back up and take a look at the blocked corridor, which is now almost empty. Talk to Kurk who is here now.

  Go up the ladder to the railcar. Go back into the railcar and pull the rod out at 15 .......... you go back to the park. Get out of the cart and go downstairs, walk to the building across the street and enter the workshop through the door. Walk to the other side of the workshop and go out through the double door.

  Walk across the pier to the tractor, Oscar is already there and is sitting on the tractor. Talk to Oscar for a moment. Kate must now fasten the ferry to the tractor.

  Walk across the board, which the Youkols have laid over the hole in the pier, and then continue to the ship.

Click on the cable around the bollard and then talk to the Youkols who are standing by the ship.

  Ask if they want to secure the cable to the tractor, you will see that they do that. Then walk back to the tractor and tell Oscar that he can start pulling.

  The tractor drives forward but Kate calls for Oscar to stop, the Krystal is only going to sit deeper in the sand.

  Oscar says that Kate has to pull from a higher point and asks if Kate can let the cable slacked. Zoom in on the rear of the tractor ....

  Then select the big wrench and use it on the nut.

  Loosen the nut ...... the wrench then goes back to the inventory ..... and then turn the lever to slacked the cable.

  Go back to Oscar and say that he can drive .... Oscar drive with the tractor over the pier to the Ferris wheel .......

  Run behind tractor. Then ask the 2 Youkols, who are standing by the tractor, to attach the cable to the Ferris wheel.

  In a video you see that the two Youkols hook the cable to the Ferris wheel

  Then move Kate through the hole in the fence and to the right side of the Ferris wheel. Then click on the ladder of the Ferris wheel and .....

  Kate climbs up the ladder to the control panel of the Ferris wheel.

  Zoom in on the mechanism of the Ferris wheel and then pull the lever down and ..... Kate finds that something is missing.

  Select the gear in your inventory and use it on the other gear and then pull the lever down.

  The gears will rotate. Zoom out and go to the other side of the platform. In the shed next to the ladder you will find a push button, press it and see what happens.

  The Ferris wheel turns and pulls the Krystal up the beach and .......... half of the pier is being demolished and the Ferris wheel falls apart and falls down.

  Climb down again and return to the hole in the fence at the pier. Then go back to the workshop

  Through the workshop to the gate of the park and through to the outside and via the wide staircase to the beach. 

On the beach the Youkols are full of anticipation to stare at the Krystal.

  Move Kate to the Youkols and ...... Of course Kate talks with Kurk and also with the shaman

  Katie must now get the ostrich herd out of the Krystal, so run across the beach to the right, to the back of the Krystal.

  On the back of the Krystal you get a click spot, so zoom in on that

  It's a lever to open the big doors of the Krystal's hold, so pull the lever down and .....

  ..... Now see how the herd of ostriches run out of the Krystal and how the Youkols leave through the subway tunnel.

  Just in time, because the helicopter of the colonel is approaching.
