The adventures of Nick and Willikins is a free game that gives us a very humorous look at the very British relationship between a Master and his Manservant. There will be a corpse and as always..... the question is.....DID THE BUTLER DO IT?  and.....well....You are that Butler

Escape-key open up the Main menu screen where you can "Save", "Load" and "Quit" the game

The game begins with a humoristic introduction in witch we're being introduced to the Mansion of the Nick Family

....and too Master Nick and his loyal manservant Willikins, being.......YOU....

We then go 30 years back in time a bit....Young Willikins has finished his Butler education and must listen to a lengthily lecture of his professor before he gets his diploma. 

You must give the professor an answer and you can do this in a "Polite", "Friendly" or "Aggressive" manner....It's really your choice, so pick one of these 3 option otherwise your stuck on this screen forever and ever......The game then goes in LOADING end then we start in 

Nick Mansion:

Bedroom of Nick

Lazy bugger Nick sits on his bed while he's ordering you around. After the initial "conversation", left click on Nick to get the hang of how this game works in the sense of operating everything......

When you left click on a "hotspot" a "Action Circle" opens up. Within this "Action Circle" you can click on the icons to "talk", "Look at", "Take things"...etcetera...etcetera.....For now.....Use both available options on Nick........You then must decide again whether you'll be a "Polite", "Friendly" or a "Aggressive" manservant.......Again....this will be your choice......

In the lower left corner of the screen stands your suitcase, witch serves as your Inventory in witch the items, you are about to pick up in this game, will be stored for your. You open up your suitcase by left clicking on it and as you do so you'll see that you carry already a big fat Pizza Hamburger in your inventory.

Nicky has given you an order, so look under the bed....

There's all kind of stuff under the bed, including a "Phone Charger". First look at all the other items and then take the "Phone Charger"........

You leave this close-up when you have taken the "Phone Charger" and this thing is now in your suitcase.....All other stuff, that was laying under the bed are deleted from the game.

Nick is hungry, so try to make him happy with the Pizza Hamburger" you have in your suitcase...so open up your suitcase and take the Hamburger out and click on "Close". 

Click with the Hamburger on Nick but......Nick doesn't want it. 

Before the "Big Ben Tower", lays doggy Willikins on the carpet....Look at the dog and then go into the 

Bathroom:

Take the "Pizza Hamburger" out of your suitcase again and than throw the thing into the toilet.....

automatically you flush the toilet. Go back to the:

Bedroom:

Nick gives you a new assignment and that is to prepare a meal for him. Leave the bedroom through the left doorway (To Ballroom). 

You end op on the stairs in the Hallway, witch in fact is the Ballroom.. Walk further down. On the left side you can go to the Drawing Room. 

On the right side you can go to the Dining room. And via bottom screen you can go to the Entrance Hall. Go to the:

Dining room/Kitchen/Wine cellar

You can  look at everything here. There are 2 paintings on the wall.......Look at the painting of Lady Beatrice.....

Lady Beatrice is a direct ancestor of Nick and this is important information that you'll need later on, 

Go on to the Kitchen. When you enter the kitchen you immediately see a Rubbish Bin. Open the Bin, then look into the Bin and then take the Rubber Gloves out of the bin.. 

Walk to the right, to the Fridge. Open the Fridge and then take out a sausage.

Close the fridge again. On the side of the fridge sticks a Magnet. Take the Magnet...The magnet has the telephone number of the emergency service, 999, on it

In the sink you see a bit of Toast.....The toast is blocking the drain of the sink. Take the Toast

Open the red curtain under the sink and then take the Pack of Rat Poison

Open your suitcase and then combine the Toast with the Sausage.......

 .......When  you're done you have a "Sausage on Toast" in your inventory.

Walk back to the left and then enter the Pantry, on the right side of the fireplace. 

A few haddock fish are hanging on a hook. Take a Haddock fish

Look in the potato bag, that is standing in the left corner...... and.....You discover a sack of chips, that was hidden under the potatoes.  Take the chips. 

Go back to the kitchen and then  go down to the Wine Cellar. 

In the wine cellar you can go further down a ladder to the Basement, but first take the Rope, that is lying on the ground in frond of the wine barrels. On the left side stand a green "Château Nick 2017"wine bottle on the wine barrels. There's a "NO" note on the wine bottle. Take that "NO note"...it's a sticky note. 

Now go down the ladder to the Basement......

Look at the "Critter" hole in the wall. Look at the Rat, that's sitting on the brick wall on the left. Look at the Spigot....it's leaking. Look at the red "Keep Calm" poster and look at the "Home Sweet Home" sign that's on the wall. Climb back up to the wine cellar and then take the stairs back up to the kitchen and then back to the dining room. Leave to dining room to the Ballroom and then go upstairs to the:

Bed Room:

Take the Sausages on Toast out of inventory en try to give it to Nick........

...But Nick don't  want the toast.....He wants something else. Go to the bathroom and throw the toast in the toilet. 

Go back to the bed room and......Nick order you to go back to the kitchen to make him a proper meal. 

So.....After you've done saying...%$#@%$##..... to yourself... you'll be a good butler and you go back to the Kitchen.

When you enter the kitchen you hear a loud scream and then the sound of something that falls on the ground and then the sound of running  footsteps.

The game takes over for a bit with some crazy comments and the you have control again. That sound came from the Ballroom, so go back there and then to the:

Entrance Hall

There is dead body on the floor, with a huge hole in his back. 

Try to Examine the body with your hand, but you don't want to touch it. You need to phone the police. Go back to the:

Bedroom:

Nick is sleeping. Go to the Dressing room. At the dressing table stand a Sewing Bench. Open up the Sewing Bench and then take the Pencil, that's sticking in the bench. 

There's a mobile phone standing on the dressing table. Try to take the Mobile Phone, but the battery is empty

Left of the dressing table you see a electrical Outlet in the wall. Take your Telephone Charger out of inventory and plug it into the Outlet and.....

.....You charge up the Mobile Telephone, so click again with your hand on the phone and.......Call 999........

You get connected with a  999  operator and you must tell her what's going on......again.....you can be friendly, polite or aggressive...it's your choice.....

So give a response and.......

...........Detective-Inspector Bobbi of the West End arrives and she accuses Nick of being the murderer. 

Bobbi goes away but she will be back t0 arrest Nick.....Talk to Nick and then...........

......Special Inspector Clever Ruse shows up and there's a lengthily conversation, although it's more like a monolog

 Clever Ruse wants you to proof that Nick is innocent and he gives you a coloring book witch contains a puzzle to solve the murder, and he explains what to do with it.

You have the Colouring book in inventory, so take a look at it and listen to yourself as you explain the meaning of this colouring book. 

You must use this book to proof that Nick is totally innocent of the murder. You must find a Motive, the Murder Weapon, a Witness and Proof of sanity. 

Close the inventory and then go back to the dressing room. Go to the dressing table again and use the mobile phone again and call Inspector Clever Ruse.

Ask Clever Ruse about "Motive",  "Weapon", "Proof of Sanity" and about "The Witness".....

The self declared "Clever" dude will give you some hints concerning these subjects, so listen to him, but I can agree with you that you could have saved yourself the trouble to call up this "Clever" idiot....Not much help here.

Leave the Dressing Room and go back into the Bath Room Above the sink hangs a medicine cabinet. If the medicine cabinet isn't open already than you open it.  

On the bottom shelf you'll find a Medicine Jar.......Take that Medicine Jar (Medication). .......

The phone rings and you read that a new number is added in the telephone

Leave the bath room and..... Go talk to Nick, who's still in bed. Ask Nick all the thinks you can. So Ask Nick about "The Weapon", "The Motive", "The Witness" and "The Proof of Sanity"....

.....again...it's all "absurdistic British Humor shit" that you hear from Nick, so no help here either.

Leave the bedroom to the Ball Room, walk down the stairs and then go left, into the

Drawing Room. 

You meet up with old aunt Petunia.......Make your choice and aunty goes reading her book. Turn on the TV and look at the channel menu. 

The channel menu scrolls through your screen, so you must wait until it is done. The TV is fix on the current channel because the satellite disc doesn't work properly. Aunty has some comments on this problem, so talk to aunt Petunia again. Choice your behavior, aunty isn't a very friendly person so why be friendly towards her, but it's your choice.  Ask aunty all the questions regarding the murder, but you soon realize that aunty isn't the right person to ask anything. Well.....what did you aspect in a absurdistic game? 

Behind aunty you see the billiard table. Walk to the billiard table and to the right. The 8 ball has fallen from the billiard table onto the floor. Grab the 8 Ball from the floor. 

Leave the dressing room and go down to the Entrance Hall. Walk on to the dead body, still lying on the floor, and examine the corpse, with your eye and with your hand, again....You think that there's something familiar about the dead man, but you do not want to touch the body with your bear hands. So take the Rubber Gloves out of your suitcase and click withy them on the body and........

You take the man's wallet out of his pocket. Pick up the wallet......

You take the wallet into your hands and you look into it and.......you learn the name of the dead man and that is Errol, a well known burglar. You also get the telephone number of Errol and that number is stored in the mobile phone that's on the dressing table in the dressing room.

From the body walk a little to the right and then to the bottom right of your screen, to see the entrance to the art Gallery. 

Enter the Art Gallery

Examine, so look at, all the art works, paintings and sculptures, while you move to the right side of the gallery, and listen to all your comments. 

Eventually you reach the other side, where you see a closed door. Open that door and.......

You go through the hall and then you look through the eyes of Nick's painting into the gallery......

Click quickly "Back to Gallery" to be back in the gallery". Go back through the gallery and then out into the entrance hall again. 

Back in the entrance hall you go past the dead corpse to the front door. Go outside to be in the Front Garden

Front Garden:

You see yourself standing in front of the front door. There's a green Gnome standing on the porch and there's a Black Note sticking on the front door.  Rip the Black Note from the door..

.........it's an "Activist Flyer" and it has been put on the door around the time of the murder.....a new telephone number will be added to the mobile phone . 

Look at the green Gnome.....there should be two of them, so where is the other Gnome?

Walk down to the fountain. You'll see a Sparkle in the water of the fountain. Look at that Sparkle and.....it's a coin that's lying on the bottom of the fountain. So take that Coin out of the fountain. 

Continue down on the path and you'll reach the

Barn:

When you're at the barn you'll hear a woman talking. There's a blueprint pinned on the barn door. Take the Blueprint (Plans) and then look at it in inventory.....

it's a map of the maze, but it's useless as a map such as it is. Combine the Pencil with the Blueprint and......you draw yourself a path to the center of the Maze. 

There are a few flower pots standing on the grass and against one of those flower pots leans a Sickle.....Take the Sickle

Behind the barn sticks a satellite disc into the sky....Look at the Satellite Disc. 

The woman who's voice you hear is behind the Hedges, so click the Hedges to open up the action menu and then click the exclamation mark tot talk to the neighbor woman.....

.the woman shows up so ask her everything and......be polite.......

she's working on the Maze and she mention the Railroad Spike as a possible murder weapon. She also heart a delivery truck at the time of the murder. As you ask the woman about the Maze then you learn that she can only alter the lay-out of the maze by order of Nick

The woman leaves when you have asked her everything. You are standing at the red mailbox. Look at the Mailbox and also look at the Post Code Label that is on the mailbox...

.......the zip code is "00-D4-L4Y". There's nothing in the mailbox. Go back to the mansion

Mansion:

There's now a White Note on the front Door. Take the White Note....

A package deliverer has tried to deliver a package. There's a QR-code on the delivery note and the number is added to the mobile phone,.

Go back inside and to the Bed Room and then straight into the dressing room

Use the mobile phone and call Nick's psychiatrist. 

Her name is dr. Gesund.  Be polite and then ask her about Nick's  medical papers, but she does not give medical information. 

However....dr. Gesund does tell you that she has wrote a medical certificate about Nick's mental health

Use the mobile phone again and call Errol's number.....You get  Nick!  and......

You have now established a motive for Nick. Look in inventory at the Colouring Book and .....You have tick off the "Motive box"

Use the phone again and call the delivery company (stuff bringers) . If she asks for the QR code, select the owl.

Then select the names of two recipients who are direct ancestors of Nick......Firs click the picture of aunt Petunia and then the picture of Lady Beatrice 

You than get to speak with Deirdre, the delivery driver........ you now have a witness

Use the phone again and call the political activist.........

it's a strange man and you have a very strange conversation with him but he isn't must help.  But you have now establish "a Motive" and a "Witness"

Go to Aunt Petunia in the drawing room.  Talk to aunty again and ask her about "The Proof of Sanity" and ask this "Friendly" and....

after you have pleased aunty she'll give  you a code letter of the location where  Nick's mental health certificate is hidden 

If you haven't done it earlier then now turn on the TV and look at the channel menu, so you know that the satellite disc does not work. 

Go to the entrance hall and leave the house through the front door, to be back in the

Front garden

Follow the path down to the fountain and then further down to the Barn. 

Take the "Changed Plans" out of your suitcase and click with it on the Hedges to summon the woman. Be aggressive and......

...You order the woman to alter the lay-out of the maze but she still doesn't want to do this without a sign order from Nick

So go back to the mansion, go inside and to the Bedroom. Take the "Changed Plan" out and give it to Nick and.....Nick will put his signature on the plan.

NB: You could have done this earlier, after you're first conversation with the woman,  but the fact of the matter is that I forgot to mention this then.

Back to the barn and click withy the now sign Plans on the hedge to summon the woman again and.....be aggressive again and......

.......the woman goes to work to alter the maze and she makes a new entrance to the maze. 

So take that "New Maze Path" into the Maze and...you end op at the Satellite Disc.

There are flag stickers (decal) on the satellite foot. 

There's a red lever and on the ground lies the plug (plug) Pick up the plug and... you insert the into the socket that's in the satellite foot....The lamp under the British flag lights up. Now use the lever (control) to turn the satellite dish....you slight the lever to the right. Use the lever again to slide it to the left...the red light under the American Flag lights up.....

Leave the Maze and go back to the Mansion, go inside again and to the drawing room and watch the TV.....

...............you'll now see a cartoon with an advertisement for the "Sarcasteers Decoder Ring" and you write down the phone number. 

After did.........Go to the dressing room and  use the phone and call the number of the advertisement. 

It's the same Beryl you get on the line and she says that there is a coding ring order in the name of Nick Hall but you order one more. 

Go to the mailbox in the front garden, to the right of the barn. Take the letter from the mailbox and....you get the coding ring. 

Go back to the drawing room. Open up your suitcase and combine the code paper (note) with the coding ring and......

...............you know where Nick's health certificate is hidden....in one of the books that are in the bookcase

Look in the bookcase and pull out the book "The Lion, the Witch and the Very Big Fish ...." and...........

 A piece of paper falls out of the book. Take the paper on the floor and read it. It is Nick's mental health certificate. 

You now also have a Proof of Mental Health. 

Now to find the murder weapon. Go to the hedge behind the Barn and go through the new maze path in the hedge to the satellite disc. Now slide the lever, 2x, to the right. and.......

.......the light under the Tordovian flag lights up.

Go back to the drawing  room and watch the TV again.....   

You'll now see the Tordovian TV series......

Go to the bed room and try to look under the bed....but Nick doesn't allow you to do this....Talk to Nick and say you want to look under the bed...

You have to help Nick to make up his mind, so give him the coin. 

Nick flips the coin and you choose Heads, but it is Tale......but never mind......you may look under Nick's bed now.......So do so and.....

the missing red garden Gnome is under the bed.......Try to take the Gnome.......

But you don't want to touch it with your bear hand.....it's the murder weapon.... So...try to take the Gnome with the Rubber Gloves......but....

.........Nick doesn't want you to take the Gnome and he sent you away to the dressing room....While you wait in the dressing room you hear all kind of noises and then you  hear that someone is flushing something down the toilet and.....you see that the basement gets underwater. 

Nick then shout that "it is safe", so go back into the bed room. Look under the bed again and......The red garden Gnome is gone....... But now there's  Mustache Charlie doll under the bed

Take the Mustache Charlie doll from under the bed and then click the "Back" button....Try to talk to Nick again...but.....Nick isn't in bed anymore.

Go to the kitchen and then downstairs to the wine cellar. Look at the ladder in the flooded basement........ 

You see the garden gnome "swimming" in the flooded cellar, you also see the rat......

Open your suitcase and  combine your rope with the sickle to get a rope with hook.  Use the Rope with Hook on the Garden Gnome to fish it out of the cellar........

........but......the rat gnaws on the rope so you quickly retrieve the rope. Combine the Haddock fish with the  rat poison and get a poisoned fish. Throw the poisoned fish into the water....

....then look in the cellar again and...... the rat is dead. Use the rope with hook again on the garden Gnome, now you take it

You now have the murder weapon and all murder puzzle pieces in the colouring book are tickt off. 

Go to bed room and then to the dressing room and use the mobile phone to call inspector, Clever Ruse. 

You meet  his Cleverness in the entrance hall at the body. After the talk Ruse walks to the gallery. 

Also go to the gallery....Ruse is on the telephone but he stops as you come in. Go right and then go through the wooden door and......

....You  look through the eyes of the Nick painting and you overhear his conversation. 

His Cleverness leaves and you end back up in the dressing room.

Call 999 with the mobile phone and you talk to the operator.......

......but it's not  friendly Beryl now and this one isn't friendly and not at all helpful....Nick must call her

Go to the bedroom and talk to Nick - but he's not in bed.

 Go to the kitchen and......you talk to Nick at the fridge and......

Nick is very angry and he  wants you to explain why the mansion is such a mess and he wants you to clean up the mansion, starting with the kitchen.....

Use the burglar topic to explain to Nick what you have done..But Nick doesn't believe it.,...... use the bin topic and......we go to the win cellar......

Use the Gnome topic and then the Bin topic to say what a worthless butler you are .... and we go to the front garden....

Use the Plan topic and the bin topic to say what a jerk you are and......you ask Nick again to call the police and finally......Nick's going to that it.......and.....

Nick explains to constable bobby how  Errol has met his final hour......

......doggy Willikins has "murdered" Errol while he was trying to steal the red garden Gnome......
