World A 1: Plaza 1: continued

The area to the left of the Hekpoort

We have now done the 2 purple side courtyards on the right side of the Plaza. We now go through the white gate on the left side of the plaza

So go to the left white gate. The signpost in front of the gate tells you that there are 3 green Tetrises to score, in the area behind the gate, a green Z-Tetris and 2 green L-Tetrises. Step through the gate. You end up in the left side-court 3 and here are 3 purple gates again. It doesn't matter in which order you are going to score the Tetrissen, but I'm going to do that in the 1, 2, 3 order.

So go through gate 1 and you end up in:

Tetris Puzzle 3: A Switch Out of Reach

Follow the path ...... Behind the fence a me moves. Follow the path to the left and the turn to the right is protected by a turret ..... so stay away from the red laser beams. The Turret hangs above a gate and behind that gate is the green Z-Tetris. On the left you see a lever on the wall. That lever switches the Turret on and off, but to reach the lever you will have to Jam the Turret first.

In the alley, to the left of the "building" on which the lever is attached, is a Jammer. Walk into that alley and take the Jammer.

Take the Jammer to the path guarded by the Turret and Jam the turret with the Jammer

Now that you are jamming the Turret you can walk to it, so walk on to the Turret. Through the gate, behint the Turret you can see the green Z-Tetris floating.

The route to the Tetris goes to the right but the lever is on the left. So walk slightly to the left and then turn around and ...... a stone staircase ......

Walk up the stone stairs and turn left and ..... you are at the lever.

The lever is down ..... Well ..... "Use" the lever to click the thing up and .....

you have now disabled the Turret so you can now pick up the Jammer and take it with you.

Turn around and jump down and go to the Jammer. Pick up the Jammer again to take it back with you.

Walk back to the Turret and then follow the path to the right and further and ..... O ..... behind the fence a mine moves back and forth.

Continue but stay in the bend of the path and wait for the mine .... Jam the mine with the Jammer and ......

...... then follow the path further to the green Z-Tetris.

Run into the Tetris to take possession of the thing. Your God is pleased and informs you that you need 1 more green Tetris for the gate in Plaza 1.

The gate below the Turret is now also open, so step through the gate and follow the path back to the purple gate and step through it back into the side court.

We then have the purple gates 2 and 3 to do and in both areas a green L-Tetris is waiting for you. Go through gate 2 and .... you end up in:

Tetris Puzzle 4: Outnumberd

You are again in a courtyard with a ruin in the middle.

A Turret hangs in the ruin and a mine moves within the ruin. Go and have a look first

The Turret must be taken out and that mine must be removed from within the ruin. However, the mine cannot get out because of the blue energy shield.

Follow the path, outside the ruin, to the back of the ruin and ..... Fortunately ..... a Jammer.

The Mine, in the ruin, keeps bumping into the blue gate .... The mine wants to get out, so give mine a hand ......

Keep a safe distance and then Jam the blue energy shield with your Jammer and .....

Once the mine has come out, quickly pick up the Jammer to reset the blue energy shield.

The mine can no longer go into ruins and you can now use the Jammer to jam the Turret with it.

So take the Jammer with you to the entrance of the ruin .....

...... and jam the turret with the jemmer

You can now safely enter the ruin, so do that and follow the path in the ruin to the end .... halfway you see that the mine can no longer enter the ruin.

At the end a green L-Tetris floats, so bump into it again to "score" the thing and ... God tells you that you can now open the door in the middle gate on Plaza 1.

But we're not going to do that just yet .... let God wait a little longer. Return to the side court and now go through the purple gate 3

behind gate 3 you are in: 

Tetris puzzle 5: Striding the Beaten Path

A mine moves up and down the path .... This is Mine 1 ..... make sure you don't get too close to the mine. You don't have a Jammer so you can't jam the mine yet ...... Stand at the beginning of the path, but make sure that the mine can't reach you. On the right you see a side pocket and on the left you also see a side pocket. If you wait a while you will see that in the back also a 2nd mine is moving ... that 2nd mine is moving from left to right and visaversa.

Wait for the front mine to come back to you, from a safe distance of course.

When the mine then goes back to the back and has passed the entrance to the right side pocket, quickly run forward and quickly dive into the left side pocket. Stand in the left side pocket so that you see the right side pocket and also mine 1. You also see a blue gate and you see mine. Mine 2 has to enter that area behind the blue gate, but you need the jemmer for that. The only Jammer in this area is located in the right side pocket

Wait for mine 1 to move over the path to the front again and then quickly run to the Jammer which is in the right side pocket. Pick up the Jammer and turn around to the path but keep a safe distance. You shouldn't jam mine 1 with the jemmer now. If it is safe, run back with the jemmer to the left side pocket. So wait for the front mine to go left again and then quickly cross over to the left side pocket.

Stay in the left side pocket at a safe distance from the red rays of Mine 1 and now jem that blue gate ........

Then wait until the 2nd mine has gone through the now open gate and then quickly pick up your Jammer again. The 2nd mine is now trapped behind the blue shield and cannot get out. Take the Jammer with you, watch out for the front mine, and now follow the path further, so turn left around the bend and then jam the 2nd blue gate with your jammer, behind which the green L-Tetris floats.

Well ....... score the green L-Tetris ...... you now get a green A-circle at the top left, which this Tetris is apparently for.

Ok ... back to the Plaza now. Pick up the Jammer again and .......

.... Now jam the front mine with the jemmer so that you can safely go back over the path to the purple gate.

Back through the purple gate and then through the white gate back to Plaza 1

Open the Plaza 1 gate

Go back to the gate again

Zoom in again on the lock plate of the gate and ..... your 3 green Tetrissen are placed in the right plate

You now have to puzzle the 3 Tetrises in the "checkerboard". Pick up a Tetris and drag the thing to the "checkerboard". With your right mouse button you can rotate a Tetris in all directions .. Once you have dragged a Tetris above the checkerboard you will get a clue how and where to Tetris must place on the checkerboard.

So now puzzle the 3 Tetrises in the correct way in the "checkerboard" and ....... the gate opens

B: Area A1B

Computer Terminals

There are 2 QR stickers on the left wall of the gate, so read them

Walk through the gate and continue to the "Gazebo". There is a computer terminal in the gazebo.

"Use" the terminal and play with it a bit. Just follow the "instructions" you see on the screen and click on all the links you see at the bottom of your screen.

From now on you will encounter these terminals everywhere in the various worlds. Through these terminals you learn the underlying story of the game. I am not going to explain and discuss this further. Use the terminals you come across and play with them ... the one who keeps answering is not a friend of God ...... I also don't know if this is important for the game's outcome, but again ..... the game has 3 different endings and which ending you will experience depends, as far as I know now, partly on how you deal with the computer terminals. When you have had enough, or if nothing new appears on the screen and below it, click EXIT to exit the terminal.

Then walk on and step through the purple gate and ..... you have arrived at:

Plaza 2:

The Temple

In the middle of the Plaza is a white stone podium with the Teleporter to the Temple of World A. Left and right  are 2 purple gates because there are still 2 Tetrissen to score here. We'll let those 2 Tetrises wait for a while because I want to show you Elohim's Temple first. So walk onto the stage. On the podium is a signpost showing that the Tetris of Plaza 1 have now been crossed off, because you have already scored those 5 tetris. So you still have to score the green and yellow Tetris that are not crossed out here on Plaza 2.

Turn around and step into the white light and ...........

..... You will be teleported to the .......

Temple of World A

The number 1 is written on the glass door. Walk through the glass door and ....... you will end up in the lower room of Temple A. God greets you with a welcome speech, so take a moment to listen to your God. After all, He is your creator so you may take some effort to listen to His Wise Words ... but you can also think "Fuck It God" .......

Look around the room ...,. On either side are 7 glass doors. The doors are numbered 1 to 7. Behind each glass door is a Teleporter that will transport you to the Subworlds of World A. So World A has 7 Sub-worlds and in each of these 7 sub-worlds you have to solve the Tetris puzzles because you need Tertrissen to progress in the game to Worlds B and C and finally to the Central Tower. 

You have already done most of World A1 but you are not done yet. At one end of the elongated hall there are 2 terminals in front of the windows. With those 2 terminals you have to unlock the Connectors and the Boxes. On the other side of the room is the gate that gives access to the elevator that you can use to go up to the upper haal and outside

First go to the elevator door. On the way you will see that 1 of the entrances to a teleporter is barricaded with a wooden fence.

You need an axe to cut that plank fence out of the way, but you haven't found that axe yet

The World Map is in front of the gate to the elevator hall. Look at the World Map ..... This is the map of World A and you can see all 7 Sub-worlds on it. For each sub-area it is indicated how many and which Tetrissen can be found in a sub-area. In area 1 you will see that 5 of the 7 Tetrises have now been crossed off because those are the Tetrises that you have scored so far, in Plaza 1, and of which you have used 3 to open the gate.

In total you can find 32 Tetrises in World A.

Zoom in on the lock plate of the elevator gate ..... To unlock the door you need 4 green Tetrissen and 1 of them you already have

In the hall, behind the gate, is the elevator to the top floor and to the outside world where the temples of Worlds B and C and the Central Tower can be found

But this all comes later. Turn around and run to the other end of the room, where the 2 terminals are

There is a glass displaycase behind both terminals. In the left displaycase is a so-called Connector. You will need these Connectors in the Tetris puzzles to open blue gates. However, you must first "unlock" the Connectors to make them available in the worlds. You do the "Unlocking" on the terminal, but you need 3 yellow Tetrissen for that, and you now only have 1.

The right terminal is to "Unlock" the Boxes because you also need these boxes in the Worlds to open gates and to get up higher. 

However, you also have to "Unlock" the Boxes first via the puzzle on the terminal ..... you also need 3 yellow Tetrissen for this.

These are a Connector and a Box

Ok ..... We can't do anything else here right now, so let's return to Plaza 2. So find the number 1 teleporter and then teleport back to Plaza 2

There are still a green and a yellow Tetris to score here. Maybe God is talking to you again.

Walk back down the stage and then go to and through the left purple gate ......

Tetris puzzle 6: Trio Bombasticus

On the right is an area where 3 mines move. The mines are each stopped by a blue shield. 

You have to go through that mine area to reach the Tetris, but the Tetris is also behind a blue shield. First of all, those 3 mines have to be removed from that area. 

Continue to the back and then go left into the corner because there is the only Jemmer for this puzzle. 

Pick up the Jemmer and then turn around to the 3 blue energy gates. So there is a mine behind every blue gate.

Those 3 mines have to leave that box and they are no longer allowed in it. Do not open the 3 blue gates from where you are now.

Walk the Jemmer back to the start, where you are safe from the mines and..........

Then turn around so that you look at the 3 blue gates again.

Jam the 3 gates open 1 by 1 and as soon as the mine is "liberated", pick up the jemmer again to close the blue gate again. Do this with each of the 3 blue gates

The 3 mines are then "liberated" and can no longer enter the box.

At a safe distance from the 3 mines, stand in front of the entrance of the area where the mines where before and then jam the blue gate in the back with your Jemmer.

Then run through and through the gate, turn left and score the yellow Tetris.

Bingo ..... done here so back to the Plaza 2. Cross the street and go through the last purple gate

You end up in the last Tetris puzzle of World A1.

Tetris Puzzle 7: Poking A Sleeping Lion

You can see the green Tetris floating through the fence. Walk to the right. The blue gate, behind which the Tetris floats, is protected by a Turret, which hangs on the right wall. In the back a mine is already jammed by a Jemmer. That Jemmer is Jemmer 1 and you need that thing but you can't go get Jemmer 1 now. You can reach Jemmer 1 safely by walking towards it along the other side of the Turret wall, but you can't do that right now because if you were to "de-jam" the Mine now it will move from left to right. You need another Jemmer.

Walk to the right and then enter the back box and ..... you see Jemmer 2 in the area behind the fence

Take Jemmer 2 and take the thing back to the blue gate, but keep a safe distance from the Turret.

Jam with Jemmer 2 also the Mine, which is also jammed by Jemmer 1. The mine is then jammed by both Jemmers.

Now, go to the mine and pick up Jemmer 1. The mine is also jammed by Jemmer 2 so you can now safely pick up Jemmer 1.

Take Jemmer 1. The mine remains harmless because it is also being shot by Target with Jemmer 2.

You can now jam the turret with Jemmer 1 from the mine but I didn't. I brought Jemmer 1 to Jemmer 2

Back at Jemmer 2 I jammed the Turret with Jemmer 1.

Pick up Jemmer 2, this will release the mine, but it won't bother you. Jem with Jemmer 2 the blue gate and .....

..... Then go  pick up the Green Tetris in that area

Goddamnit....we are ready in World A1. Return to Plaza 2 and teleport back to the temple hall

Back in the temple hall you cross straight to Teleporter 2 and via teleporter 2 you teleport to World A2

NB: If you already think that The Talos Principle is a fairly complicated game, I advise you to think again whether you want to continue playing ... 

Trust me when I tell you that it all shall become much more complicated  in the remaining worlds
