Chapter 4: The Wild Lands Part 1

In and around the Crypt:

Nate

The teleporter spits Wilbur and Nate out at a graveyard.

Wilbur is angry with Nate because of his deal with Munkus and walks away with the box under his arm and ....... 

Wilbur walks into a trap set by Munkus ....Nate sees a shadow and is knocked out. When Nate regains consciousness he is at the:

Zombies:

The 2 zombies are members of the action group the "Committee for the Human Treatment of the Undead". The transparent zombie, with the yoke on his shoulders, is the Chief and the other zombie is Gulliver. A transparent bride is crying against the coffins. Talk to Gulliver through the conversation options and ......

Gulliver tells that Wilbur is captured by the Orcs and brought to their camp. Nate tells the whole story to the zombies. The zombies find Nate's betrayal quite cowardly and indecent. Gulliver thinks Nate should do his best to free Wilbur and Ivo. Gulliver and his friends on the committee may want to help Nate.

So we have ended up in a crypt. Gulliver and the Chief are gone, but against the coffins on the right sits that weeping bride. The left wall has niches crammed with skulls. Under the leftmost cranial niche are a bunch of urns on a ledge. Via the stairs it goes to the front room of the crypt. Look at the urns with your magnifying glass to hear Nate's description of them. Go talk to the "watery bride" and use all conversation options here again.

The bride committed suicide because her fiancé, one Maximilian, ran off with the chests full of gold. 

The gold was meant to pay for the wedding, but that Maximilian has fled with the gold. The bride hopes that her groom will return.

The bride sits between 2 sarcophagi. Move your cursor over the front of the back sarcophagus. 

You get the magnifying glass on a tiny piece of leather protruding from the front of that sarcophagus. 

Look at the piece of leather and then grab it with your grab hand.

Click the door cursor on the stairs. Nate ends up in the front room of the crypt. Here we meet that Gulliver again and, in the corner, the Chef Zombie. The Chief Zombie has a pillory around his neck and a sword through his belly. Gulliver is ramming on a mechanical monster and he also takes his head off his neck every now and then. Talk to the Chief Zombie....

The Chief insulted a paladin's sister and that lady killed the Chief with the sword in revenge. However, the Chief came back as a ghost to bully the lady, but her brother, the paladin, hired a ghosbuster who has the Chief tied the pillory on his neck. The only way to get rid of the shame is to ask the paladin's forgiveness. But the paladin gives the Chief no chance to ask forgiveness.

Behind the Chief is a coffin and a strange angel holding a burning candle. 

Examine the coffin and the burning candle. Go talk to Gulliver and of course you use all conversation options here too:

Gulliver's head is not on Gulliver's body but on the body of one Esther, a girl he doesn't know. Gulliver is busy constructing a new mechanical body for himself and when that body is ready he will look for Eshter's head. Gulliver also says that the crying bride is waiting for a sign from her groom-to-be.

When the conversation with the crazy Gulliver has come to an end, take a look at the mechanical body that Gulliver is working on. The work on the body does not go very smoothly. To the left of Gulliver is a workbench/cupboard with a stool in front of it. On the stool is a pot and on the workbench is a tube of yellow paint and a spool of string / yarn. Look at everything first. There is glue in the jar. 

Take the glue jar, take the yellow paint and take the spool of string.

Exit the crypt, through the exit to the right of Gulliver .... Nate ends up outside and at a crossroads. 

Via the door cursor, on the dead tree, it goes to the right, to the Orc encampment. Go to the:

Orc Camp:

Nate arrives in front of the camp's locked gate. To the right of the gate hangs a poster and to the left is a device in the pile of rubbish.

There are also some blue flowers growing in the rubbish heap and, in front of the rubbish heap, there are a few rotten boards.

Look at the poster and look at that device, the flowers and the rotten boards. The poster is a "wanted person" poster and the device turns out to be an orange juicer. Click the door cursor on the gate and Nate pushes against the closed gate and on top of the gate, on the palisade, Orc Corruck appears, who wants to know what Nate is doing .... use all conversation options again. .....

Nate demands Wilbur's return, but the Orcs really don't intend to give Wilbur back because he is the bonus prize in their warrior competition, the winner gets a bottle of whiskey and Wilbur as a bonus. Any real warrior, not just orcs, can participate in the competition. Nate also wants to participate, but is told that he does not really look like a dangerous warrior. So Nate decides to look for a warrior who can and may participate in the competition on his behalf.

After this conversation with Corruck, take the poster from the wall and pick some of the blue blossoms.

 Also take the rotten boards.

Return to the crypt via the left side of the screen and enter it again.

Crypt:

In the crypt, talk to Gulliver again and ask him where Nate can quickly find a warrior and ask the rest of the questions.

Gulliver suggests that Nate become a warrior himself. If Nate manages to get his hands on an armor that makes him invincible, he won't have to practice for years. Nate only needs an "Invincible Kit", a piece of armor consisting of a helmet, a shield and the "Sword of Power". In exchange for some help creating his new body, Gulliver is willing to tell Nate where to find the "Sword of Power". Gulliver still needs a heart, a lung and a thunderbolt for his new body. The other zombies probably know where Nate can find a helmet and a shield.

After Gulliver, talk to the Chief as well.

 If Nate can get the Paladin to forgive the Chief, the Chief will tell Nate where to find a helmet. 

Enter the back part of the crypt and speak to the weeping Bride again.

 Maximilian, the bride's runaway groom, had a shield. The bride is willing to tell Nate where to find that shield if he gets Maximilian to speak up. Leave the crypt again.

Nate is standing outside the cemetery gate again. So in front of the cemetery, that Paladin, with whom the Chief has a conflict, has pitched his tents. To the right of the gate is a pile of red soil. Mushrooms grow at the base of the dead tree. The Paladin has a head on a stake. There are 2 pink boxes in front of the head .... there is a paper on the left pink box. Furthermore, at the bottom left, there is another wardrobe of the Paladin. Look at the pile of red soil and then pick it up.Look at the mushrooms and then grab a mushroom.

Walk a bit to the left an d..........In front of the crypt stands the Paladin, who has set up camp here.

Look at the Head on a stake 2 times with your magnifying glass ....... The Head will then talk .....

So this head is Esther and she misses her body very much. The Paladin just chopped her head off her body.

 Click a few times with the talk cursor on Esther,  but the Paladin does not want you to talk to Esther.

Look at the paper on the pink box ..... the paper is a map of the area so take the map.

Left click in inventory on the map to view the map. Look at the Paladin and then talk to him .....

Nate makes fun of the Paladin because of his pink outfit. Note that every time the Paladin utters the word Zombies he spits on the ground and he ground at his feet becomes completely soaked with the Paladin's spit. Paladin apparently doesn't like Zombies very much. The Paladin has absolutely no intention of forgiving the Chief-zombie and also does not intend to give up Esther's head. 

After the conversation, there is a puddle of spit in front of the Paladijn. Look at the puddle with the magnifying glass .....

Also take a look at the banner of the Paladin, which flutters on top of the tent ... The coat of arms of the Paladin is embroidered on the banner .. a sword and a shield and high heels???In the background you see an Indian tent, a Tipi. Smoke is coming out of the Tipi tent..... Click the door cursor at the tipi to go there now. Nate ends up at the:

Shaman Minotaur

In the Tipi, Nate encounters a pipe-smoking Minotaur. A large pot hangs above the fire. Look at the pot.....Nate finds the lid of the pot interesting because of the valve.....it's a steamer. At the bottom center you see a large mortar with pestle. Look at  the mortar. To the right of the mortar is a chest .... look at the chest ..... Nate opens the chest and sees that it is a make-up box ..... Look at the chest again ..... Nate thinks that the chest belongs to the Chief. At the bottom left is a small copper bowl, on top of the pots. At the entrance of the tent is a bellows and, above the bellows, a feather headdress hangs from the tent canvas

Look at the Minotaur and then talk to that old bull ....... 

it takes Nate some effort to get the attention of the Minotaur, but in the end it is willing to talk. Use all conversation options again. 

The Minotaur is a shaman and is known in the region as the Rainmaker, but he also brews potions and speaks with ancestors and smokes grass in his pipe. Nate talks about the Paladin and how it won't forgive the Chief. Shaman knows a solution to this problem ...... a sleepwalking potion ...... If Nate first takes a sip of that potion and then the Paladin, Nate will temporarily gain control over the body of the Paladin and then he can direct the Paladin to the Chief. Shaman wants to brew that sleepwalking potion but he needs some ingredients for it, namely: hair, bodily fluid and clothing of the Paladin and something of his ancestors. 

When you have discussed everything with Shaman you say goodbye.

 If you have already viewed the make-up chest then now click on it with your grab hand ..... Nate takes Black Indian Ink from the chest. 

At the entrance of the tent is a bellows .... look at the bellows and take the thing then........... Nate politely asks if he can have the bellows and that is allowed because the thing is broken anyway .... there is a hole in the air bag of the bellows. Behind the cooking pot hangs a Feather Headdress ..... look at the headdress and then steal 1 feather from it

To the left of the mortar are pots and on one of the pots is a small copper bowl. Take that copper bowl ..

Leave the tent ..... we end back up at the Paladin and the Crypt:

Collect the ingredients for the sleepwalking potion:

A: Ashes of the Paladin's Ancestor

Enter the crypt again and continue to the back room. The bride is still crying here. Look at the urns again, which are under the left skull niche on the ledge. This time Nate sees the coat of arms of the Paladin on 1 of the urns, because you have looked at the banner of the paladin, which is on the top of his tent. Click with your grab hand on the urns and from the Paladin urn, Nate then takes some ashes from an ancestor of the Paladin.

B: Saliva, Clothing and Hair of the Paladin:

Leave the crypt again. Back outside you walk to the Paladin. At the bottom left is a large, red / yellow, chest. Look at that chest ...... it is a travel chest and it has a "Pink Crusaders" logo stuck on it ..... The chest and its contents therefore belong to the Paladin. Click on the chest with your wrench and ..... Nate takes a pink Pom-Pom from the chest.

You know that when you speak with the paladin about zombies he wil spit on the ground.

Take the small copper bowl from inventory and place the bowl on the spit spot on the ground to collect the Paladin's saliva in a moment

Then speak to the Paladin again and make sure you talk to the pink madman about Zombies a few times, so that the Paladin spits into the bowl a few times.  Every time the Paladin says the word Zombie, he spits into the bowl. Keep taking about zombies until Nate himself says enough is enough. 

Then look at the copper bowl again and, when Nate says there is enough spit in the bowl, pick up the bowl again.....

NB: If you try to take the bowl back while you haven't used alll the zombie topics yet then Nate will not take the bowl with spit because there will  not be enough spit in the bowl. Then talk with the paladin again and use all zombie topics that you forgot to use.

Now to get some hair from the Paladin. Talk to the Paladin again and start with about asking his hair via "Your hair doesn't look too good" and Paladin is shocked and starts combing his hair. Go on with asking "Can I have a look at the comb?". Nate then scares the hell out of the Paladin by telling him that the comb unifies his hair. The Paladin then absolutely does not want the comb back. Nate can keep the comb. Look at  the comb in inventory (right click the comb). There are still a few Paladin hairs on the comb. Nate now has all the ingredients for the sleepwalking potion, so hurry back to the Shaman

Forgiveness for the Chief:

One by one give the comb, the pink Pom-Pom, the bowl of spit, and the pile of ashes to the Shaman.  

From the Pom-Pom, the Shaman only needs a thread, so Nate pulls out a thread and puts the Pom-Pom back in inventory. When you have handed over the ingredients to Shaman, he brews the potion and gives it to Nate. Nate immediately takes the first sip of the drink as instructed. Leave the tent to return to the Paladin. Take the sleepwalking potion from inventory and click it on the Paladin .....

 However, Paladin wants to know what kind of potion it is and whether it will make him fat .... so say "It's got zero calories" and Paladin becomes interested in the drink but wants to know the name of the drink.....say it is a "Manamax Iso Sport Drink with X-Tra 02" drink ......Paladijn takes the potion but he doesn't drink it yet because he hasn't used a spell in days and his mana is therefore completely full....so ask "Can you perhaps give me a few power spells?" The Paladin agrees and exchanges the potion for his spells ... with this he fills Nate with magic and he drinks the potion himself and ....... Both Nate and Paladin fall into a deep sleep and ...... Nate is then in the body of Paladin .... Nate's own body is now sleeping soullessly .....

As Nate, you now have control over Paladin's body, so go to the Crypt ....... 

in the crypt the confrontation between the Chief and Paladin / Nate follows .....

Chief apologizes and Paladin's consciousness rises and realizes that Nate is forcing him to accept Chief's apology. Paladin tries to resist this with a force field, but then the Chief threatens him and eventually the Paladin says the magic words "I forgive you" and this frees the Chief from the block of shame and Paladin disappears.

We then return to Nate, whose body has awakened again. The potion wears off and Nate's consciousness is back in Nate's body.

 Enter the crypt again and .....

Chief fulfills his promise and now tells that Nate can find the Helm in the Mine of the pixies. 

Dive into the inventory and left click on the map.   

The bottom left of the map is now the Pixie Mine that has become available as a location, 

  So click on it with the door cursor and Nate ends up in the Pixie Mine

The helmet:

After a long wander through the mines, Nate then reaches an altar where the Helmet lies on.

 A few earth pixies are mining for gems ..... Earth pixies love shiny stones. 

To Nate's surprise, the Helm turns out to be a talking Helm, so a conversation follows in which you use all conversation options.

Helm appears to have appointed himself prophet and spokesman of the Pixie god Wuuzaaa and he really has no intention of giving up his good life to go back to battle for Nate. That is only possible if Helm will be relieved of his duties as a prophet by God Wuuzaaa. Helm eventually orders the Pixies to throw Nate out of the mine and that happens.

Maze

Nate has been kicked out of the mine by the Pixies. Save your game here before you go back into the mine. The mine is a maze of corridors and rooms and Nate has to find some items in certain rooms that are needed to score the Helm. However, Nate must not be caught by the Pixies, because then they will carry him back to the mine and after Nate expresses his anger about this, you can start all over again. So make sure Nate doesn't get caught by the Pixies ..... so this will be a "Stealth" mission. Go back into the mine and follow the tunnel up. 

Nate ends up in the Water Trough Room. You can go further up and to the right. On the left is a water trough that you can look at.

Leave this 1st room through the upward passage.  Nate enters an intermediate corridor.

 Up brings Nate to a Pixie and a torch so don't do that now. Go to the right and walk into the round end room. 

This is the Dynamite Room. There is a key on the table and dynamite sticks in the chest. Take the key and take some sticks of dynamite from the chest.

Go back to the 1st room, where the water trough is. Back in the  water trough room and therefollow the corridor that goes to the right.....

.......but be careful because the corridor ends in the 3rd round room and there are 2 pixies at work. Keep moving and see what those pixies are doing. The 2 pixies are each carving out a niche. There are 2 chairs in front of the pixies. There is a Teddy bear on the left chair and the right chair is empty. Look at the right seat first. In the ground you see a vertical shaft. 

The Pixies stand with their backs to Nate and do not see him, but the Pixie on the left looks at the Teddy Bear every few seconds because he is afraid that the other Pixie will try to steal his Teddy Bear .....When the Pixie on the left i'n't looking at the teddy bear, you quickly click with your grabbing hand on the teddy bear to grab the bear ......

Then quickly take the Teddy bear from inventory and place the teddy on the right seat and ......

Nate puts the Teddy on the right chair and quickly goes back to the hallway and ...... 

The left Pixie sees that his teddy bear is on the right chair and goes to fight the right pixie ...and both Pixies thunder down the deep shaft.

The 2 Pixies have disappeared, so walk back into the room and then go through the passage at the right chair ....

 Nate ends up in a side room with a large chest.

Look at the chest and then click on it with your wrench and Nate reports that the chest is locked. 

So take the key from inventory and use it to open the chest ..... 

Then click again with your magnifying glass on the now unlocked chest and Nate takes a Magnetic Stone from the chest.

 Return to the water trough room and then walk back up to the intermediate corridor. Now walk further up ..... 

In the middle of the room a Pixie is working in front of a burning torch that hangs on the wall. 

To the left and right of the torch is a passage and also to the left is a passage. 

Look at the torch ....... as long as that torch is burning, Nate cannot walk unseen, so that torch must be turned off. 

Walk back down the corridor and then walk to the left. The corridor brings Nate again in a round end room, where again 2 Pixies are chopping. Sleeping bags lie on the floor around a campfire. To the right above the campfire are some rolled up blankets and an empty water bag.

Look at the water bag (Hose) but do not walk towards it yet because the right Pixie keeps walking back and forth between the wall and the campfire. 

So wait until that Pixie walks back to the wall and then quickly grab the water bag and then quickly go back into the hallway. 

With the water bag in your possession you walk back to the water trough room

Use the water bag on the water trough to fill the bag with water...

Return to the Torch Room with the filled water bag (Water Bomb).

Stay in the passage .... take the Water Bag (Water Bomb) from inventory and click it on the burning Torch and ......

Nate throws the water bag at the torch that turns  off .

.......... it is now dark in the hallway so now walk to the left and go through the green-lit exit to the next round cave ...

On the right, a small part of the cave is illuminated in green. In the red lit part 3 Pixies are working.

The pile of rocks gives Nate cover. Take the Dynamite from inventory and drive the rods into the pile of stones.

Walk back to the Torch corridor and be careful that Nate does not run into the Pixie.

Walk past the Pixie to the now extinguished, but still slightly afterglow, Torch. Take the Torch.

Return to the round room where you stole the Waterskin ......

When the right pixie walks back from the campfire to the wall, quickly click the torch on the fire to light the torch.

With the burning torch in inventory, return to the room with the pile of rocks you put the dynamite in.

Look at the pile of stones again and then light the Dynamite with the burning Torch and........

Nate walks back into the torch hallway to get himself to safety and then.......BOOM........

....the explosion causes a lot of dust in the room and hallway making Nate invisible to the pixies, 

........so walk quickly up again and dive into the upper right corridor and ........

Nate ends up in the hallways above the Altar Room, where the Helm is located.

Do not continue to the right now, because then things will go wrong. Stand still and  look down through your magnifying glass cursor . 

You then look at the Helmet on the Altar.  Look at the Helmet. Nate is right above the helmet. 

In inventory combine  the magnetic stone with your spool of string in inventory. 

Then take the stringwith the stone from inventory and click it on the helmet and .. ........

The magnet clings to the helmet lifts the helmet and ..... The Helmet screams for help, but Nate addresses the Pixies with the voice of god Wuuzaaa and orders the Pixies to cooperate with Nate and to bring the helmet out of the mine. 1 of the Pixies will then bring the helmet out of the mine.

When this is over, click the door cursor, right, and ..... Nate walks down and ends up at the altar ...... 

The Pixie, who is still working in front of the altar, no longer bothers Nate because Nate, as Wuuzaaa, has said that Nate is welcome in the mine. Nate can now roam freely in the mine. The Pixie is busy with a Dragon's Head. There are shiny gems on the altar, as an offering to the Pixie god but when you try to steal a gem from the altar, this will not work because of the Pixie. Go back up the stairs and then through the left exit back to the cave where you caused the explosion and continue to the middle of this cave.

 On the left is a mine cart and behind the mine cart you get the magnifying glass cursor on veins in the rock ......

Look at the cart... there's a woodsen handle on the ground at the cart. Take the wooden handle

 Look at the veins in the rock ...... So there is also copper ore in the mine, but Nate does not have a pickaxe, so he can't take copper right now. Exit this cave to the torch corridor and then continue to the water trough room and then leave the mine via the down corridor to the exit/entrance.... walk out of the mine and look at the Helm and pick up the Helm

Nate puts the helmet on his face ..... Travel back to the Crypt via the map:
