Chapter 1: Underground:

The game immediately treats you to an explanation of the "Hint system".  Via the F1 key of your keyboard you can get hints about what you should / can do. Such a hint comes in the shape of a speech bubble in which you see a drawing, which usually leaves nothing to be desired in terms of clarity, provided you interpret it correctly

To the left of Helicopter is a small rock ..... Press your F1 key ..... you will then see your 1st hint ..... 

So the game wants you to take the small rock with you via your tractor beam.

So fly up a little bit and then hang just above the boulder and then press your space bar to activate your tractor beam.

Your tractor beam "grabs" the boulder. To take the boulder with you,  you have to hold down your spacebar while flying. 

So hold down your spacebar and fly up. Keep flying up until you can fly over the rocks to the right, above the crystals sticking are out of the rock.

Fly to the right ..... to the "pink" light ...... There is then a larger rock in the way .... Fly over that rock further to the right and .......

...O...shit.....the further passage is then blocked by a whole bunch of boulders.

There is another loose rock block in front of the blockage and you still have that one rock block on your tractor beam. Helicopter has to go through the blockade because its route continues on the other side of the blockade. You can do 2 things here to "break" the blockade ...... Either you throw your rock against the blockage, and also that other loose rock .... you have to do this several times and it requires some agility because you then have to swing your rock and then release it at the right time so that your rock hits the blockade hard .....

However, you can also fly Helicopter right through the rock blockade. If you want to do it this way, first let go of the rock that you took with you by releasing your space bar. The top row of rocks of the blockage are small rocks and they are not that heavy and can therefore be pushed away .... .. Fly with some speed against the top rocks of the blockade and then push Helicopter to the right and ....... so fly through the blockage ..... Helicopter then pushes the upper smaller rocks out of the way. ...

.... When you are through the blockade, you fly further to the right and ....... you will reach a shining lamp .....

Just before the lamp, a shaft goes down, but that shaft appears to be blocked and Helicopter can never clear this block out of the shaft

So fly further to the right and past the lamp go diagonally up, to the next lamp ..... then fly further diagonally up, to the right, and ......

.....you reach a red lever that stand close to a metal door. Fly against the red lever and then push the lever down to the right and ......

....... the lever turns green and this opens the heavy metal door .......

So fly through the now opened metal doorway to the right and at the bottom right you will receive a message that you have reached the 1st Checkpoint .... so the game has now saved your progress here and you can now leave the game and then continue playing from this Checkpointlater. But the next Checkpoint is not far away, so I continue a little further ......Fly further to the right and past the next lamp you cannot go further to the right, but you can go down through a shaft. So fly down and through the white rays of light

...Keep going down the shaft and eventually you'll end up in the next cave.

Immediately below Helicopter are 3 small boulders ..... remember that those 3 boulders are here .......

Go to the right and keep doing that until you reach the next metal door. The door is, of course, closed and must be opened. 

Just in front of the door there is a red push button in a floor. If you put Helicopter on the push button, it presses the button and the door opens ....

But if your Helicopter moves away from the button again, to try to fly quickly through the open doorway, the button jumps back up and the door closes immediately ..... you are never fast enough to get through the door. The red push button must therefore remain pressed permanently ...... Do you remember those rocks that are on the left ..... So go back to the left and hang just above 1 of those rocks and then activate your tractor beam around the rock to grab hold of it.

..... drag the rock back to the red push button and then place the rock on the push button .... the button turns green again and the metal opens again and will now remain open as long as the rock continues to press the button. So leave the rock on the button and then fly further through the now open opening

...... You then continue to the right and through a ring and past the ring you get to your next Checkpoint .....

You can't go any further and there is no shaft to go down. But there is a pipe cover in the floor with a red turning wheel ....... Hoover just above the red turning wheel of the pipe cover and activate your tractor beam and, while holding down your space bar, move your Helicopter slightly uphill and then to the right to open the lid all the way. When the lid is completely open, let go of your spacebar .......

fly into the pipe ..... it is a long and winding pipe with a number of "goosenecks", so maneuver Helicopter down through the winding pipe and .......

...... eventually Helicopter comes out of the pipe and you have ended up deeper in the next cave.

Fly to the left and keep doing that until you reach the next red button, which will then stick into the ground.

Hang above the red button ..... It is a pull button and above it is a long compartment. 

Grab the red button with your pull beam and then pull Helicopter to pull the red button up and then watch what happens in the compartment above you ....

When Helicopter pulls up the red button, 1 red ball is "spit" into the compartment.....however.....that red ball then rolls to the right and then disappears into a pipe. Every time you pull the red button up, 1 red ball appears, but that red ball then disappears through the pipe....What should you do with this knowledge? ...... you will find out soon .....

Fly further to the left, through the Ring and ...... you end up in the next cave.

Below you is again a red push button, but that red button is blocked by 3 rock blocks. On the left is also a rock on the metal cubes.

The red push button is at the bottom of a crack, between 2 boulders. However, the crack is too narrow for 1 of the 3 rocks, which hang above the push button, to fall further down to get the red button pressed and keep it pressed. Helicopter needs a smaller rock, or something small enough to get through the crack. On top of the metal cubes is also a rock (rock 1). Fly back up to rock 1, then pick it up with your tractor beam. Take rock 1 back to the left, to the red pull button

Above the red pull button is that compartment through which the red balls roll when you pull the red pull button up ..... you have seen that those red balls are small enough to go down through the crack. But those red balls keep shooting to the right and then disappear into the pipe. Helicopter has to block that pipe for a while so that it can grab such a red ball. So at the red pull button, fly up and then to the right and then put your rock in front of the entrance of the pipe, thus. Then descend to the red pull button and pull the button up again and ......

......... another red ball will roll, but this time the ball cannot enter the pipe, because of the rock you have placed in front of the pipe ..... 

The red ball falls down and stays against the red pull button, partly because your rock also bounces down and prevents the red ball from rolling away .......

Leave the red ball for a while and return to the crack.

Dive down into the crack and now, 1 by 1, pull the 3 rock cubes out of the crack and place them on top of the cube where rock 1 was also on

When you have lifted the 3 rocks out of the crack, move your Helicopter back to the red ball. Now grab the red ball and take it back to the crack. 

Throw the red ball into the crack and the red ball lands neatly on the red button, or you fly down through the crack and place the ball on the button ...... 

The red ball presses the button, which turns green and this opens the door above the cubes. Leave the red ball on the push button because if you take it off the door will slam shut again.  Fly back up and then to the left and through the now opened doorway and then a little diagonally down into the shaft

.....so down through the shaft ........ right through the light rays and then further down when the shaft becomes wider and ....

........ Helicopter reaches the bottom of the shaft and here is the END DOOR of this Level, but unfortunately the door is closed. You are at the:

Lamps puzzle:

This is actually your first real puzzle in the game and it is a Memory puzzle

There are 4 lamps, red, green, blue and yellow. Each lamp has a pull button, but those 4 buttons have not yet been activated. There is also a pull button on the column, in the middle, and it is now red, so it's activated. Call the 5 buttons, A, B, C, D, E with the middle button being E. Pulling up button E activates the puzzle. It is a memory puzzle in which you have to light the correct lamps in the correct order 3 times. 

The 1st time you have to imitate a series of 3 lamps, the 2nd time it is 4 lamps and the 3rd time it is 5 lamps that you have to imitate

This is a random puzzle because series of lamps that you have to imitate is always different. Keep looking at the lamps.....

1st series: 

Pull Button E up and quickly note which 3 lamps will flash and in which order that happens. ....remember the order....so write down the colors of the 3 lights that flash. The other 4 buttons are now also activated. Now pull up the 3 buttons of the 3 lamps that you saw flash and do that in the correct order ..... If you do that correctly, all 4 lamps will flash briefly and, below Button E, the top fluorescent lamp will turn on and it stays on.

If you do this correctly, the 1st light will go on under button E and you can continue with series 2. The game saved after each successful series.  If you do it wrong, the puzzle resets and you have to do serie 1 again, but then you get other lamps in another order. If you have done serie 1 correctly, the 4 buttons A, B, C, D are deactivated again ..... the game has been saved, so you don't have to do serie 1 again if you go wrong with serie 2.

2e series: 

Pull button E back up and then note which 4 lamps will flash and in which order. Note which lamps they are and in what order they flashed. Buttons A, B, C, D are red again, so pull up the buttons of the lights you saw flashing and do that again in the right order. If you do it right  the game sves series 2. ... if you go wrong, you have to do series 2 again, but then you get a different order. 

Series 3: 

Well ..... same as series 1 and 2 but now you have to do 5 lamps correctly ..........

 If you have done the 3 series correctly, the door will open and you can do this exit the level to proceed to the next area and the next puzzle. 

So fly Helicopter to the right and ....... We quickly end up at the next closed door.

This door is also closed again and must be opened. Drop down.....

You are in a pit and at the bottom of the pit is a white Sphere in a holder. There is a pull button in front of the white sphere.

Pull the pull button up with Helicopter and .......... the white Sphere comes loose from the holder and floats up and the door opens .......

So fly back up and grab the white Sphere with the tractor beam.You now need to take the white Sphere with you

 So now hold down your spacebar key the whole time while moving Helicopter to the right, through the now open door.

Past the door it then goes down a bit and then Helicopter then reaches a "conveyor belt". You are still holding the white Sphere.

Continue to the right and Helicopter reaches a pipe cover that  is closed ....

If you fly further to the right with the white sphrere, you will reach a Forcefield. Helicopter can go through the Forcefield but the white Sphere can't

So fly back to the pipe cover and place the white Sphere, in front of or behind the cover. Then open the pipe cover completely with your tractor beam

When you have opened the lid, pick up the white Sphere again and then let the white Sphere fall down through the opened hole ....

The white Sphere disappears into a pipe but you will encounter the sphere again in a moment.

Without the white Sphere you fly to the right again and now go  through the forcefield. After the forcefield you go down a long way

..... you go deeper and deeper down where it also becomes a bit narrower and then wider again.

Under the brown grid you have reached the "bottom", so continue to the left.

Near the panel with the lamp is a beam/shelf with 3 small blocks on it. Remember the plank/blocks. Continue to the left

The game has saved at a checkpoint and you reach a pipe where a fellow helicopter disappears into and the pipe closes again.

You can't open this pipe so fly over it and continue to the left.

Helicopter reaches the next closed door and ....

The White Sphere tube.

At the top right you see the white Sphere sticking out of the pipe. The intention is to get the white Sphere down because you must take the Sphere further to open the end door of this level. You see 4 red push buttons. Above the 4 red push buttons is a glass tube through which the white Sphere has to go, to then end up on the ground .... However, the glass tube is still blocked in 2 places and that blockage must be lifted by 3 of the 4 red push buttons simultaneously.

Number the 4 red buttons, from left to right, 1, 2, 3, 4 ...... The 4 buttons correspond to the 4 rings in the glass tube. 3 rings are red and that means that those rings are now down in the tube and thus block the tube. However, 1 ring is up and ring 1 corresponds to push button 3. There is a block on push button 4 and therefore button 1 is already pressed a bit ..... but a block is not enough weight to press the button enough to open the ring fold up in the tube. You have to place such a block on 2 more buttons and then another bar has to be placed on the blocks.

Go back to the right, to the beam/shelf and the 3 blocks.

 Now pick up 1 of the 3 blocks with your tractor beam and drag the block back to the 4 red push buttons.

Then put the block on push button 4.

Go back to the beam/shelf and pick up another block and drag the block back to the 4 push buttons and place the block on push button 2.

Go back to the beam/shelf. Hang in the middle above the beam / plank and activate your tractor beam and then fly with the beam / shelf up ..... You then have the beam / shelf in the middle. Now drag the beam / shelf with you back to the 4 push buttons ..... Because the beam is long you have to maneuver a bit to keep the beam vertical.

So drag the bar to the 4 push buttons and then place the beam on the 3 blocks you placed on buttons 1, 2 and 4...

Make sure that the blocks stay on the buttons and that the beam is completely over all 4 buttons.

If you have done all this correctly, all blockages in the glass tube will open and......

..... then the white Sphere will shoot through the tube and the sphere will end up on the floor, to the right of button 4, and the steel door is then open.

Pick up the white Sphere again because you have to take the Sphere with you again.

Move Helicopter, with the white Sphere, to the left and through the now open door and you reach the next puzzle:

The Gear:

The gear does not rotate because the center shaft of the gear has yet to be assembled.

To the left is a thick tube blocking your route. That tube has to open and that happens when you let the large gear turn.

There are 3 red pull buttons in front of the gear. First, put your white Sphere on the floor. 

Then, with your tractor beam, pull the middle pull button up 2 times and .....

.......the gear starts to rotate and that thick tube slides apart and you can now continue through the tube to the left.

Pick up the white Sphere again and drag the sphere through the thick tube and then a little further to the left and .... 

...........You have reached the end of Level 1

There is a tube in the floor and that tube is open, but it is not a "Helicopter tube". A horizontal tube hangs above and that tube is closed by a red cover. Throw your white Sphere into the floor tube. The white Sphere disappears via the floor tube to Level 2 and the tube closes ... But because of this, the top tube opens up

........ So move Helicopter into the now opened top tube and ....

........ Helicopter disappears ..... your screen goes black for a moment and then Helicopter has ended up in .....
