2020: Walkthrough by: Louis Koot

If you have found this walkthrough via google search or via another site then you have  probably not visited my site.

A lot more very detailed game walkthroughs can be found on my site at:  www.pcgameswalkthroughs.nl

For this walkthrough I play the Director's Cut version of the game.

This Director's Cut version has 2 different Endings but otherwise it is the same as the first version

Book 3: Forges and Fire

Domain of Hephaestus

Hephaestus is the God of the Blacksmiths and Fire, He is also the Blacksmith of the Gods and he has a Hammer. Hephaestus is also known as Vulcan. Opinions differ as to whether Hephaestus was the son of Zeus and Hera or only the son of Hera, which means that Hera cheated. But I think that was common among the Gods ... they liked to fuck

Village:

You are standing in front of the petrified guy under the roof of the last house.

The game has just notified you that you have entered Book 3. Right-click on the petrified man to free his soul with your right Fire Hand.

Then turn right and walk slightly towards the 2 columns. You are here at the crossroads of paths, on the other side of the village. In the distance you can see the Temple of Hephaestus. You can also turn right and you can turn left or go back to Pegasus. To the left, the forest path goes to the Stone Wall and a Stone Hand up on a hill. Turn right to the path to the Griffin Bird.

On the note you found in the back room of the 1st house you have read about a Beast who has an unsaturated need for riches.

Well ... that beast is the Griffin bird and we are going to look it up first.

Griffin:

So turn right at the crossroads and then follow the wide forest path straight ahead

Continue to follow the path straight ahead, then follow it further up the hill.

On top of the hill the Griffin bird sits on its nest. Approach the Griffin step by step. Don't get too close yet. You get 3 click spots, the bird, the gold cups that the bird has collected in its nest, and under the nest. First zoom in on the spot under the nest and then click there. Calliope then tells you that it is the remains of a basket that lie here.

When you have seen that basket spot, zoom out and take it one step further to the bird.

The Griffin doesn't appreciate your presence because the beast thinks you're coming to steal his gold cups

Run quickly back to the village and back at the crossroads turn right and walk through the columns to the stone bridge that connects the village with the temple

Hephaestus

Run across the stone bridge to the temple and inside and run to the fiery god Hephaestus

There are two sacrificial columns for Hephaestus. On the left column are silver cups offered by the villagers.

There is nothing on the right column, but you can see that there are grooves in the right column to indicate that something has once been on it

Look up at Hephaestus' beard and left-click the hand to hear Calliope talk about this fire god.

Then right-click the hand and ...... Hephaestus comes to life.

Hephaestus tells that his gold has been stolen. If you bring back the gold, Hephaestus will reward you with a Light with which you can see in the dark

Well ... it seems plausible that Hepthaestus means the gold cups that lie in the nest of the Griffin

The Oven is on the right. When you look at that thing, Calliope says that a part has disappeared.

On the left side in this temple also a round transport stone sticks into the floor where yellowish light comes out.

Stone Hans and Brick wall

Leave the temple and run back across the stone bridge to the crossroads near the village. Now turn right and follow the forest 1 or 2 clicks forward. In the distance you can see the mountains and the Stone Wall. on the right you can also climb a hill first. At the top of the hill you can free 2 souls at the Stone Hand

Climb up the hill and continue to the 2 petrified argonauts. The standing argonaut is Nauplius and the guy who's sitting on the stone hand argonaut is Pellis

Free the souls of Nauplius and Pellis with a firm wave of your fire hand

Turn around and descend the hill and then turn right and continue towards the Stone Wall

Just before you reach the Stone Wall you can see that there is a petrified woman in the grass, near the trees on the left. Go to that petrified woman.

In front of the woman, her wicker Basket lies in the grass. Take the Basket

In inventory you can see that Argonus immediately filled the basket with golden apples. He kept 1 golden apple aside

Close the inventory and then free the Soul of the woman with your fiery hand

Continue to the Stone Wall. A double gate door protrudes into the wall and in front of the door is the fossilized Cepheus.

Do him a favor by freeing his soul

There are two huge statues at the Wall. The left statue is that of Minos, the King of Crete. However, the right statue has lost its head

A "Keyhole" protrudes into the left and right pillars of the doors. You can view the left "Keyhole". But the right "Keyhole" is blocked by the huge stone head of the right statue. You can click n on the doors to try if Argonus can push the doors open, but that is not possible. The doors are the entrance of the Labyrinth.

When you are right in front of the doors, you look to the right. You will see, behind the fallen head, the "keyhole" in the right door pillar. You get your hand on the Head. Right click the Hand on the Head and ...... With all his strength Argonus tries to push the head away but the enormous head is simply too heavy.

More force is needed to push the head out of the way.

Griffin

Return to the crossroads, then follow the route straight ahead to the Griffin's nest

Approach the nest again carefully and zoom in on the Basket remnants that lie under the nest.

Then take the Basket of Apples from inventory and click the basket on the Hand and ...

.... Argonus puts the basket with golden apples on the basket spot and ...... The Griffin bird is hungry for the golden apples and focuses on them .....

However ....  the 3 Harpies are also hungry for the golden apples and the Harpies and the Griffin are fighting each other.

Argonus quickly takes the opportunity to steal the 3 Golden Cups from the nest.

If you look in the inventory you will see that Argonus now has 2 gold cups and a gold breast plate.

The Golden Cups belong to Hephaestus so return to the Temple

Hephaestus

Back in the temple, stand directly in front of Hephaestus again and look up at his beard. You get the Hand on the divine beard again.

Open the inventory and drag the 2 gold cups to your hand and click and ......

Hephaestus is satisfied but does not really want to interfere in the war between Athena and Stheno. But he can help you forge a light.

Hephaestus then points to the blacksmith's hearth and says that you need 4 things:

Charcoal for the fire, air for firing up the oven, metal for shaping and tools for shaping it. The god then returns to his petrified state

The 2 gold cups are now on the right column.

You already have 2 of the 4 items that Hephaestus mentioned, because these are the Hammer and Pliers and the Golden Breastplate. You still need Charcoal and  bellows. So we have to burn wood into charcoal and we must find a bellows. To make charcoal you need 10 of the planks you've picked up from the beaches of Poseidon and Hera.  We must now return to the domains of Hades, Hera and Poseidon to burnwood into charcoal and to find a bellows. We will also free the souls of all petrified people who are in those areas.

Leave the temple and run across the stone bridge back to the village.

Run back through the village and then through the two pillars of fire through the tunnel to return to the Domain of Hades

of course there will be a loading and then you will be back in the Domain of Hades, where Thanatos stood

Book 3: Part 2: Charcoal and Bellows

A: Back in the realm of Hades:

You are back in the realm of Hades. We leave the God of the Dead alone now because it is best not to wake up sleeping dogs. The goal is to free the souls of all petrified people in each of the gods realms, while looking for Charcoal and a Bellow

Follow the path back to the crossroad.

Just before you reach the intersection, first go to the petrified Butes and Idas, which are on the left between the trees

Right-click Butus and then Idas to free their souls with your fiery right hand

Then follow the route, down the stairs, to the couple that is just in front of the temple of Hades.

Free the souls of this petrified couple and also do this for the soul of the man kneeling behind the pillar

Cyclops

Follow the forest path to Philias and the 2 Cyclops. First release Philias from his misery before walking on to the Cyclops

Papa Cycloop watches with great interest how you perform your act of mercy on Philias.

Now carefully move towards the young petrified Cyclops ...... Get the Hand on the boy and then right click and ...

With the permission of Papa Cyclops, Argonus now liberates the soul of the young Cyclops and ...

.... Papa Cyclops is eternally grateful to Argonus and he disappears through the river

Thanks to this act of mercy, Daddy Cyclone will serve you later.

Go back to the forest path and follow the forest path and then the river bank back to the 3 Witches.

Witches

Continue all the way to the Witches, who have now recovered from the sleeping powder ....... it goes by itself now for a while .....

Argonus returns the stolen Orb / Eye to the witches

The 3 old cakes are very surprised that a thief returns his booty. They express their surprise one by one and then they show Argonus a vision

We hear Poseidon, Medusa and then Athena. Poseidon fucks Medusa, Athena's maid and the sister of  Stheno and Eurydle

Poseidon is insatiable and wants to fuck again but Medusa gets scared and rightly so because Athena shows up and she is pissed off.

Athena is jealous and she wants revenge. But gods cannot kill each other so Athena then kills her maid Medusa to satisfy here anger

When the vision is over, the 3 witches are gone but they have given Argonus the power to see more of these visions

Follow the route back to the stairs and then up the stairs to the crossroad

Go to the fireplace with two shelters but first free the poor farmer's soul here

Then continue to the fire pit under the right shelter. Zoom in on the fire pit and then open the inventory.

Argonus now has to burn charcoal here and for that he has to make a fire in an oven. You should have collected 13 Planks so far in Book 1 on the beaches of Poseidon and Hera. You now need 10 planks here. So if you do not have at least 10 planks in your inventory, you cannot make charcoal here now You will then have to return to the beaches of Hera or Poseidon to pick up a few more Planks that you have missed

Zoomed in on the fire pit, drag one of your 13 planks to the hand on the fire pit. Click the plank on the hand and ....

Argonus then automatically places 10 planks on a stack on the fire pit

Turn right to the pile of soil. Get the Hand on the pile of soil.

Open the inventory again and drag the Shovel to the pile of earth and click the shovel on the hand and ....

Argonus scoops earth into the hearth to make an earthen furnace.

When Argonus is done with this, drag the Tinder box (Flint), which also contains the tuft of sheep hair, to the hand on the heap and click the tinder box on your oven and ...

.... Argonus sets the wood on fire and that must now be charred to charcoal

It takes time to burn the wood to charcoal and we are not going to wait for that here

While the wood burned to charcoal we now go back to the realm of Hera and then to the realm of Poseidon. So turn around and walk back to the crossroads and then turn right and up to horse Pegasus. Just before Pegasus you help the soul of the petrified woman to the realm of the dead.

Then walk on to Pegasus, get your hand on the winged horse and then right click and .......

Pegasus will now take you back to the realm of Hera. A loading will follow and you will be back in:

B: Back in the realm of Hera:

Go to the houses on the mill yard.

Go to the high house and free the souls of the resident and also the soul of his dog

Then go inside. In the back right of the room is an open chest

Go to the opened chest and look inside, then take the bronze key

You can  go up via the stone stairs, but there are only two beds, so go back outside

Now go liberate the souls all of petrified people and animals here in this realm, and don't forget one. First do that here at the mill and fountain and at the houses and columns. Then go to the argonaut who is halfway up the stairs to the canyon. Then go to Hera's temple and also free all petrified souls there. When you have liberated all souls here at the mill, the fountain, the houses and the temple, you go to the ox cart. Free the farmer on the cart, child, and ox, and also free the village chief who is on the other side of the path.

Then go via the intermediate path to the beach and on the beach also free all petrified souls and do not forget the man who lies in the grass at the edge of the forest

When you have liberated all souls in Hera's empire, you run across the beach to the 2 pillars of fire. Go between the fire pillars and........

Loading. Run through the rocks and you are back in the:

C: Back in the realm of Poseidon

Here you first go free all petrified souls on the beach, including the petrified dog

Then go up the stairs and release Palaemonius, the mom and her child on the stone bench and Castor.

Then climb further up to the temple and also free the souls in the temple

Then, via stairs or the cave / tunnel to Oileus and Phalerus. Free their 2 souls and .....

... then run to the Hydra. Free the souls of the 5 argonauts who stand between the severed Hydra head and the petrified Hydra

As you approach the last 2 Argonauts you will get  a vision and hear what has happened here

After the vision you free the 2 remaining souls and then ......

... stand directly in front of the petrified Hydra. Under the front head of the Hydra you get the Hand circle ....

Right click on the Hand and ..... The Hydra "explodes" but the monster's soul does not appear ......

However, in the grass, in front of the tree, lies the petrified heart of the Hydra. Walk towards it and pick up the Petrified Hydra Heart.

View the Hydra Heart in your inventory. Ready here, so return to the Hera realm. Run through the mill yard to the temple and then on to Pegasus.

Get your hand on Pegasus and then right click and Pegasus will take you back to the Hades realm

Go to the fireplace and zoom in on the hearth again. The fire is out. Drag the Shovel to your hand and click and  Argonus shovels the "oven" open.

The 10 planks are burned into charcoal coals. Take the charcoals

Return to the stairs tunnel and climb back up to the realm of Hephaestus

E: Hephaestus

Go to the top room of the last house on the right and then go back to the chest

Open the chest with the bronze key, which you swiped from the chest in the mill house

Take the Bellows and the red Keystone from the chest

Now back to Hephaestus in his temple. Stand in front of the god of fire again, look up and show him the petrified Heart of the Hydra and ...

Without saying a word, Hephaestus breaks the stone casing of the heart with his mighty hammer

The red Hydra heart is on the floor. Pick up the Hydra Heart again and view it in inventory

Turn clockwise and go to forge furnace. Place the bellows into the hole in the oven.

Then stand to the right of the oven and place the charcoal coals on the oven

Then drag your tinder box with sheep's wool to your hand and, if Argonus has set the tuft of wool on fire, right click on the bellows to start the fire higher

Then throw the piece of golden armor in the oven and, if Argonus says it's hot enough, click the hammer and pliers on the hand and ......

... Argonus turns the molten piece of armor into an Eternally Burning Torch. Take the torch

View the Torch in Inventory

Open the Map and click on the circle of Hephaestus's temple and .... Argonus reads from his diary about what he has experienced in this realm

Leave the temple and return to the Hand on the Hill, where you previously liberated the souls of Nauplius and Pelis

As soon as you approach the Hand you will get another vision in which you will hear how the Gorgons petrified Nauplis and Pelis

After this vision, run down the hill again and follow the forest again to the Stone Wall.

Walk through to the huge doors. On the left and right there is a keyhole in the pillars of the doors.

Stand in front of the left keyhole and then insert your blue Keystone

Turn clockwise and crawl back to the fallen stone head. Get the Hand again and then right click and .....

... Argonus tries to push the heavy head away again, but he is not able to do that now, but now daddy Cycloop shows up and daddy removes the heavy head and then runs away.

The Cyclope has paid off its debt to Argonus. Stand in front of the keyhole and then insert your red keystone and ......
