2020: Walkthrough by: Louis Koot

If you have found this walkthrough via google search or via another site then you have  probably not visited my site.

A lot more very detailed game walkthroughs can be found on my site at:  www.pcgameswalkthroughs.nl

For this walkthrough I play the Director's Cut version of the game.

This Director's Cut version has 2 different Endings but otherwise it is the same as the first version

Part 1: Labyrinth and Teleportation

A: Labyrinth

You are still in Book 3, but when you are in the 1st corridor of this Labyrinth in a minute, it will become Book 4.

You are in 1 of the 5 Entrance halls of the circle Labyrinth. This is the Hephaestus Entrance Hall. It is dark but thanks to your eternally burning torch you have light.

In the middle of the hall is a stone column. Behind the column is the entrance to the circular labyrinth.

Continue to the column and stand close to it. On the 2 pillars are fire bowls with oil. On the column you see concentric rings. This is the circle Labyrinth. There are corridors between the rings and in each corridor there are passages to the next corridor. The corridors are divided into segments by partitions. Around the labyrinth you see 4 symbols: a trident, a lyre,  a snake and a hammer. These 4 symbols are the 4 Entrance halls of the Labyrinth. At the hammer is a dot to indicate that you are now in the Hephaestus Entrance Hall

Number the rings, from the outside to the inside, as 0, 1,2,3,4. Number the corridors, from the outside in, as A, B, C, D. The middle circle is the Central Room E. At the Snake symbol you get 3 circles on the rings 1, 2, 3. In those 3 circles you get the hand. Name those 3 hand circles, from the outside in, F, G, H. By right-clicking on the hand circles F, G, H you turn the rings 1, 2, and 3, so you can make a path through the labyrinth to go from one Entrance Hall to go to another Entrance hall. You cannot rotate rings 0 and 4

First light up the 2 fire bowls with your torch. Get the Hand on a fire bowl and then right click to light the bowl with your torch

Then stand in front of the circle plate again. You now have to go through the labyrinth to the Hall at the snake symbol. The snake symbol marks the cave of the Gorgons and you want to go there first. You now have to turn the rings 1, 2 and 3 so that you can go from the hammer through the labyrinth ring to the snake hall. You rotate the rings 1, 2, 3 via F, G, H (right click)

Make sure you get your hand on circle G, then on H and again on G. Right click G once, H once and G once again .....

Every time you see that Argonus turns the rings 2 and 3

You have now made a continuous route through the labyrinth from the Hammer to the Slang, via the Central Chamber E.

If the labyrinth also looks like this for you, then walk around the column to the Entrance of the Labyrinth

Just before you enter corridor A, Argonus has another vision. Stheno has an argument with her sister Euryale

After the vision, step into corridor A of the labyrinth and turn left. Walk to the brazier and light it with your torch. Do this with all the braziers you encounter in the labyrinth ... they will give you an achievement if you light up all the braziers. Walk through and you will be informed that you now have entered Book 4. ..... Corridor A is dead, so go through the doorway corridor to Corridor B.

Corridor B dead ends on the right, so turn left and follow corridor B to the passage to corridor C and then continue to corridor C.

Corridor C dead ends on the left, so follow corridor C to the right, where it also ends, but here you go through the passage to corridor D.

Follow corridor D to the left until you reach Central Room E. You are then in the center of the Labyrinth

Enter the Central Room and continue to the petrified Minotaur. Use your fiery right hand to free the Minotaur's soul

Turn around and walk back to corridor D, but immediately go straight on into corridor C and follow corridor C to the right, to the end.

Then cross left to corridor B and follow corridor B to the right and follow the corridor to the right end

At the end of corridor B you continue to corridor A ..... This segment of corridor A is an "water" corridor

Follow corridor A to the right, until the brazier. Light the brazier and then step through the gate here

You are now in the Snake Entrance Hall. Fortunately, you have a flaming torch to light up the hall a little. Continue to behind the labyrinth column. The two huge doors are the entrance to the Home of the Gorgons. Light the brazier and then take a look at the circle labyrinth on the column

Don't turn the labyrinth  here because if you do, you'll end up in "deep shit".

You can see on the column that the dot is now under the snake to indicate that you have arrived at the correct "address".

Turn around, walk to the doors and get the Hand circle on the doors. Then right click and .....

... Argonus speaks the words he has heard in the vision and the doors swing open ...

... So walk into the dark and ...... Loading

B: Home of the Gorgons

Carefully walk down the stairs and ........

... it goes by itself now for a while ..... the badly injured Euryale sits against the right wall and while you are slowly brought to her she tells what her sister Stheno's plans are. Stheno wants to take revenge on Athena and all the other gods for the death of her sister Medusa. Therefore, she wants to free all the dead and demons from the underworld. Euryale hopes that Argonus can stop Stheno and says he can use the help of the giant Talos. To call Talos, Argonus has to blow the horn that stands outside on the balcony.

Euryale then exhales her last breath. You can left-click on the dead Euryale one more time to hear some more Calliope commentary.

Open the Map and then click the Gorgons Home circle and ..... Argonus reads again from his diary about Euryale

Look through the room. A map of the island is placed in the center of the floor of the room.

On the floor map are all temples and some other things. Continue to the map

Stand on the map and view everything on it at your leisure. Walk across the map and get your hand on everything ...

.......then left click and Calliope will tell you what you see on the map

You see that at almost all temples there is a hole in the floor .... Those holes are the same hole that you have seen in some temples .... They are teleport portals.

In front of the Poseidon Temple, your ship, the Argo, floats in the sea. Get your hand on the Argo and then right click and ........

Argonus pushes the ship towards the coast. The Argo is now moored at the beach of the Poseidon realm

When you have examined the floor plan properly, turn clockwise and walk to the stone bench near the wall.

There is a Cog wheel / Gear on this bench. Take the Cog wheel / Gear

Beyond the floor map is a Harp and beyond the Harp is a stone basin. Walk to the harp. Touch the Harp via left click and then right click

Continue to the stone basin. There is an Obsidian Stone in the basin. Take the Obsidian Stone, this will be your teleportation stone

View the Obsidian Stone in inventory.

On the semicircular outside balcony is the huge Horn that Euryale was talking about. Go to the Horn and left click the thing to hear Calliope's comment

Thinking of what Euryale has said to you, right click the horn to blow the thing, but unfortunately giant Talos doesn't show up. Apparently you're not blowing hard enough

Walk to the balustrade and look down. Deep below you see the young Apollo God standing in his arbor

C: Teleport to Poseidon and the Argo

Turn around and go back inside and to the floor map. Walk to the front of the map and zoom in on the Poseidon Temple. Make sure you get the hand circle on the Teleporter hole below the temple. Then open the inventory and then drag the Obsidian Stone to the hand and the hole and ....

... Argonus places the Obsidian Stone in the hole and ....... your screen becomes blurry and a Loading follows and then ....

.... you have been teleported into the Poseidon Temple.

You are  behind Poseidon. Exit the temple at the front via the stairs. At the bottom, turn right and follow the route to and through the water cave / tunnel and out.

Then follow the route to the beach and go to the sea via the left path and see ..... The Argo is now at the beach because you have moved the Argo on the map to the beach in the Gorgon cave. The Argo's bow now rests against the flat rock. Walk to the flat rock and when you have almost reached the Argo you will see and hear in a vision what has happened here with the Argo and its crew, including Argonus

After the vision, walk up the flat rock until you reach the bow of the Argo. You can then left click on the mast of the Argo to hear Calliope.

Zoom in on the figurehead of the Argo. The figurehead holds a Lyre between her hands. Grab the Lyre because you need the thing at Apollo

When you have taken the lyre, return to the Poseidon Temple, via the cave or via the stairs.

Inside the temple, go to the Teleporter hole behind Poseidon and zoom in on it

Open the inventory and drag and click the Obsidian Stone  to the hand on the teleporter and .....

After Loading you will have been teleported back into the Gorgon Home. Go back to the floor plan and look for the Arbor of Apollo on the map. Also at Apollo's arbor a teleporter sticks in the floor, so drag your Obsidian Stone to it and click the stone back on the hand and ......

..... you will be teleported to the Domain of Apollo .....

D: Apollo:

Apollo is the god of light, music and poetry and he is the son of Zeus and Leto. Apollo is fairly narcissistic and very happy with himself

You have been teleported and ended up in the arbor of Apollo. Walk forward and to the 3 petrified musicians who stand before Apollo and ...

..... you get another vision ....

After the vision, go free the souls of the 3 musicians from their petrified bodies with your fiery right hand

Then look up to Apollo and right click the hand and .....

this snooty young god is disappointed that you don't offer him a present and after he has told you this he goes back to his petrified state

Apollo wants music and singing ... luckily you now have the Lyre van de Argo with you.

Look up again, open the inventory and drag and click the Lyre to and on the hand and ....

Argonus places the lyre at Apollo's feet and the young God is satisfied and as a reward  he gives Argonus a beautiful Shell.

View the Shell you just obtained from Apollo in inventory

you need this shell to summon giant Talos, but we are not ready for this yet

Turn around, descend the long stairs and continue to the center of the beach. Straight ahead is the Apollo Entrance (Lyre) Hall of the Labyrinth.

First, however, turn left and then follow the beach to the ship moored at the wooden jetty.

Continue to the petrified Argonaut on the ship and free his soul with a dashing swing of your fiery right hand

Back to the center of the beach, in front of the Arbor, then turn left and follow the path to the open doors of the Labyrinth and enter

E: Optional: Labyrinth: From Apollo to the Skull Hall

You are back in the labyrinth, but now in the Apollo (Lyre) hall. Light the brazier

You must go to the Trident hall, top left, but you can first take a trip to a 5th hall that is not marked with a symbol. That 5th hall is on the left side and then in the middle and in that hall you can pick up a Skull. The skull earns you an achievement. If you don't need it, skip this part and go straight on with F: From Apollo to the Trident. But I will now first explain how to reach the skull hall from here

Zoom in again on the circles on the column. The dot next to the lyre now indicates that you are now in the Apollo Entrance Hall of the labyrinth.

To go to the Skull Hall from here, right-click the F hand circle 2 twice to rotate ring 1 twice

The route to the skull through the labyrinth looks like this .....

Enter the labyrinth behind the column. You are then in corridor A, go right and then through the first passage to corridor B.

Go right and through the 1st passage to corridor C. Follow corridor C to the end, so ignore the 1st passage

At the end of corridor C, continue to corridor D. Turn right, follow corridor D and enter corridor C again. Turn right and follow corridor C.

at the end of this segment of corridor C, cross back to corridor B. Turn right and continue to corridor A.

In corridor A turn right again and walk to the grasses that now grow in corridor A and then go through the gate into the Hall by the grass.

You are in the 5th hall and it has no exit because it has collapsed. Continue to the back, light the brazier and continue to the Skull, which is on a round pillar

Zoom in on the skull. Left-click the skull for Calliope's comment and then grab the skull by right-clicking

You have earned your achievement but I have not found out whether you should also use this skull somewhere in the game. You now have to go back through the labyrinth to the Apollo Hall and this is the reverse route you just followed and you can do that yourself.

F: From Apollo to the Trident.

Back in the Apollo Hall you zoom in on the circles again. Get the hand in the circles F, G, H: Right click 1 time F, 1 time G and 3 times H

The route from the Lyre to the Trident is like this ...

So dive back into the labyrinth and follow the corridors to the Trident Hall .... no screenshots this time because that was too much for me now. Follow this route:

Corridor A right, passage to corridor B, left, passage to C, right, to D, right, to C, right, to B, right, to A, right and into the Trident Hall.

G: Trident Hal

Walk back and light the brazier with your eternally burning torch

Here is an elevator, but if you pull the elevator lever nothing will happen. The elevator machine is in the stone niche but the thing is missing a gear

Zoom in on the machine and drag and click your gear / cog wheel from the inventory to the Hand and ..... Argonus places the gear on the machine

Back to the Lever and right click the Lever and ....... it will continue automatically

... the elevator takes you down and meanwhile you get another vision in which you hear how Athena tells her brave henchman Perseus how to kill Medusa.

The elevator then stops. Light the brazier then turn around and walk down the stairs in the dark and ....

... it goes on by itself again .... there is a Loading and then .....

Argonus is brought to the beach in a trance. We are here on the isthmus that you saw in Book 1 from above as you followed Pegasus up the slope.

Athena appears ..... Listen to Athena. Athena will not allow you to go further here.  Behind Athena lies the wreck of a ship that has been wrecked by the Sirens here and Athena does not want you to go there because you will not survive the song of the Sirens

So to protect you from the Sirens, Athena will stay here blocking your way

You can not go beyond Athena but Argonus needs the song of the Sirens to summon giant Talos. Argonus needs the help of a dead person for this. So turn around and see ... you came out of the gateway. This is the gate you also saw when you followed Pegasus in Book 1. So you are back in the Domain of Poseidon

Walk to Minos and then turn left ..... In the distance you can see that a ship wreck that makes a path that you can climb up.

Walk towards it and then climb up through the wreck and then further up to the severed head of the Hydra.

Part 2: Talos, the bronze Giant

Get help from the skeleton warrior

Follow the route to the beach and then dive through the rocks at Amphitrite and then between the 2 fire pillars to the Hera domain

Run up to the mill and through the mill yard to the steps of the temple. Do not go to the temple but run a little further and then turn right and continue to the pond

The skeleton chief is still in the pond. Run to the skeleton in the pond and get the Hand on its rib cage.

Then open the inventory and drag and click the red Hydra Heart to and on the hand and ....

Argonus places the Hydra Heart in the chest of the chief skeleton and it comes alive and swears his allegiance to Argonus.

The Skeleton Chief will now follow Argonus. So run back to the Poseidon Domain. Always stop and then look back to make sure the Skeleton is still following you. Back on Poseidon Beach you follow the route back to the severed Hydra Head and past the head you go back down to Athena, between the trees and via the shipwreck.

The skinny chieftain has followed Argonus. Standing in front of Athena, turn around to the Skeleton Chief and make sure you get the Hand on his ribs again.

Open the Inventory and give the Shell to the skeleton and see what he does with it.

Under the watchful eyes of Athena, the skinny man walks over to the Siren who is singing on the cliff. The chief "steals" the siren's song  with the shell

The Siren then tumbles into the sea without a voice and the headman returns to you and offers you the shell again. Take back the Shell

The task of the meager Chieftain is over and he remains here forever. The chief has lost his Shield.

The Shield is behind the Chief. Pick up the Shield

View the shield in inventory

With the Shell, which now contains the song of the Siren, Argonus can now summon Talos, the Giant, but that must be done with the Horn of the Gorgons. Argonus now has to return to the Gorgon Cave. Climb back up to the Hydra Head via the shipwreck and then continue to the Stone Head.

Dive back into the cave through the Eye of the Head and return through the cave to Poseidon's temple.

Climb up the temple and go to the Teleport stone behind Poseidon. Put your Obsidian Stone in the hole here and .......

.. after the Loading you are back in the Gorgon home.  Open the Map and click the Siren Circle and listen again to Argonus reading from his diary about the Siren.

Store the Map and walk through the cave to the Horn on the outside balcony.

Make sure you have the Hand on the Horn and then drag the Shell to it and click the Shell on the hand and .....

Via the Horn the singing of the Siren is greatly enhanced and it reaches Talos, the Giant that you have already met at the beginning of the game.

Talos comes to the balcony and extends his huge bronze Hand towards the Horn.

Walk around the horn to the Hand of Talos and right click on the Hand and ......

Argonus climbs on Talos's Hand and the giant now brings Argonus to the entrance of the Dead Kingdom high in the mountains, while Athena watches with satisfaction

Talos drops Argonus at the entrance and disappears. Briefly open the Map and scroll the map to the left. You will see that you are now on the left island.

Store the map again and then walk through the gate into the vestibule of the Kingdom of the Dead ...... Loading

After Loading you are in:
