Part A: 1993: Biddeford,  Maine

Chapter 2: Day 2:

It's the next morning. Darren has been sleeping on the couch in the living room and wakes up to the doorbell.

Darren opens the door and a local police inspector enters.

The inspector says Fuller has been killed and Angelina has been arrested as the prime suspect. Angelina was found with bloody hands next to the corpse. Darren talks about that stranger, who followed Angelina and also asked about her at the hotel. The inspector wants Darren to come to the police station to give a description of the unknown stranger man. Maybe he has something to do with the murder.

Leave the house and Darren will automatically go to the police station.

Police station:

Make  a composite photo of the stranger

Darren is in the police station and now has to take a composite photo of the stranger with the police's "Suspect Identification program". 

The female officer explained to Darren how to do this and you have ended up in the close-up of the computer screen.

By clicking on the scroll arrows of the boxes "Hair", "Chin", "Nose" and "Eyes" you give the head a different head of hair, a different chin, a different nose and different eyes. So give the head the correct hair, chin, nose and eyes of the stranger and, if you think it's right, click on "Save And Exit". If you make a mistake, click on "Reset" to start all over again.

If you don't remember what the stranger's head looks like, you can find information about this in the Diary. However, to open the diary you must first exit this computer screen and click on "Save and Exit". Darren will then tell the agent that he doesn't know for a while and will therefore take a break. Open the diary. You will immediately land on the page containing the information about the foreign national. You will see a small arrow between brackets on this page. Click on the small arrow to bring up the stranger's description.

In the diary you read that the stranger: Has brown hair that is combed back. That the man has a narrow straight nose with wrinkles on the nostrils. That his eyes are close together and set deep in the eye sockets. That the man has thin lips and a thin mustache. The man's chin is pointed. Take in this information and close the diary again. Click on the officer to return to the computer screen and now give the head the correct hair style, nose, chin and eyes. If you still can't figure it out, this screenshot shows how it should be in the end

If you think you got it right, click on "Save and Exit" to exit the computer screen. Darren will then indicate whether you did it right or wrong. fWhen you have done the composite photo correctly, Angelina will be brought in by the inspector. There is a short conversation and then Angelina is taken to the cell, because to the "cops" she is Fuller's murderess.

The police consider the foreigner an important witness, not a suspect. Darren must now look to prove that Angelina is innocent. But is she?

Darren is standing at the exit door of the police station. Go outside to the square. It's raining, and it's raining hard.  Enter the Hospital

Hospital:

Continue to the left again, to the lemonade machine and the passage to the mortuary. There is now a guard in the office.

If you try to walk straight to the morgue, the guard won't let you.

Click with your talk cursor on the guard and .... the receptionist nurse  screams that the mortuary is "of-limits" for visitors. Darren rushes back to the reception and mutters that he needs to get the nurse out of the way from behind the counter for a while. Enter the room where Mother is. Next to the bedside table stand the medical monitor, which monitors all of your mother's vital signs,  on a table. The monitor is plugged into the wall socket.

Left-click and right-click the monitor a few times first. After viewing the monitor, you can unplug the monitor from the power socket. 

So click on the Cable to pull the right plug out of the socket and the monitor turns off and the alarm begins to beep.

Quickly go back out of the room.The receptionist nurse has disappeared to check on Mother. 

Quickly click the talk cursor on the guard in the office again to talk to him. 

Darren pretends to drop off something but the guard asks for a proof of delivery. Meanwhile, the nurse has come back.

 Walk back to the reception desk. At the far left on the counter is a Delivery note. Click the Delivery note. It is a delivery note for liquid soap.

You can't take the delivery note  because the receptionist nurse is back. 

So, in your mother's room, go unplug the monitor again. Then quickly return to the counter and grab the delivery note.

When you have the Delivery note, click it on the guard in the office.

However, the guard wants to know where the liquid soap is that Darren is delivering according to the evidence.

 So Darren is still not allowed to go to the morgue. Darren needs a box/package to show the guard. Go to the:

Souvenir shop:

Go inside. At the display cabinet, which is in the middle of the store, there is now an empty box (Emty package). 

Look at the box and then take the box. Then talk to Rosie about all the conversation topics you get.

Rosie is also the local travel agent and Darren asks if she also offers travel guides from Willow Creek in England. Rosie says so and refers Darren to the travel brochures, which are in the cupboard to the right of the shop door. So take a look at the Travel guide, in the cupboard to the right of the shop door. Darren immediately takes the Willow Creek brochure from the shelf and this brochure appears large on your screen.

Click on the pieces of text and Darren will read all the text aloud. When Darren has read a piece of text, he puts the brochure back in the cupboard. If you also want to read the other pieces of text, you have to take the Willow Creek brochure out of the closet again and then click on the next piece of text. So Darren takes the Willow Creek brochure but puts it back in the closet. Go back to Hospital. Go back inside and walk to the left again, to the mortuary office.Take the empty Package from inventory and click it on the guard. 

Darren again shows the guard the delivery note and the box, but the guard is still not satisfied. Darren also needs an access pass to the morgue. Go to Biba's Dinner. You see Claire Biba throwing garbage into the slanted dumpster. Claire then walks into the diner. Left click the garbage container..... Darren walks over and searches the container and takes snippets of paper from the container.

Right click in inventory on the paper snippets and you end up in a puzzle. With your left mouse you pick up the letter fragments and you can drag them. With your right mouse you can rotate the picked up fragments. First, drag the snippets apart and to the edges of the screen. You can use the entire screen to drop the clips. But you can only rotate a snippet in the middle part of the screen. Then puzzle the fragments into a letter. Pieces that fit together will stay together once you click them together. If you are an avid jigzaw puzzler then you know that it is best to first puzzle all sides together and then fill in the rest. If you don't have the patience to solve the puzzle yourself, or if you can't, you can use the red Auto-Solve button to let the game solve the puzzle, if you have checked this function in the game options. But it's really not a difficult puzzle so why not do it yourself. 

When you have puzzled the letter together, either yourself or via the auto-solve button Darren stores the letter in inventory. But you immediately see the letter on your screen while you hear Fuller's voice reading the letter. So it's Fuller's blackmail letter that he used to blackmail Claire Biba. Claire and Fuller had a passionate affair, but dirty Fuller secretly took pictures of their sexual exploits and blackmailed Claire Biba. Fuller wanted $1,500 for his silence

Click the letter away. Darren thinks that with this blackmail letter alone he cannot convince the "cops" that Mrs Biba also had a motive to kill Fuller. He also needs those pictures.  Enter the Diner. Dr. Newhouse is back at the front table and Claire Biba is pacing back and forth behind the counter. Claire Biba now has a black eye....was she beaten by her husband? Talk to dr. Newhouse on all the topics you get, but especially his ID card.

If you use all the conversation topics, you will learn from Newhouse, among other things, that Fuller's corpse is lying on "ice" in the morgue. You will also learn that that guard in the Hospital, one Dick, is responsible for the fact that all the staff of the Hospital have a Must wear an ID card, because that Dick has trouble remembering faces.

When you're done talking to Dr. Newhouse you go talk to Claire Biba again, and in this conversation you use all the options you get again. 

However, save the option to order a cup of coffee for last, use all other subjects first. The "conversation" ends a few turns abruptly on some topics, so when that happens just click on Claire again to continue chatting. If you end up using the coffee topic last, Darren orders a cup of coffee. You then have the cup of coffee in inventory. Take the cup of coffee from inventory and click it on Dr. Newhouse and.....

Darren takes a seat opposite Newhouse with the cup of coffee and .... spills the coffee all over Newhouse's beautiful white doctor's coat. Darren profusely apologizes and Newhouse takes off the coat and puts it on the counter, as Claire offers to clean the coat. Newhouse disappears. Left-click 2x on Newhouse's white doctor's coat and .... 

Darren notices that Newhouse's ID card is still pinned to the coat. Darren takes the ID card. Travel back to the:

Hospital: Mortuary:

Go back inside and walk to the left again, to Dick, the guard in the office. Talk to guard Dick again, or show him the id-card,  and .......

....... because Darren can now show an ID card, he may now enter the mortuary and so he does. Fuller's body is in the back on a gurney. Darren is standing by a cart. There are 9 trays on top of the cart. At the bottom of the cart is a syringe (Syringe). On the wall, in front of the cart, hangs a bulletin board with 6 announcements (Clipboards). Behind Darren is a bucket with a Mop. On the left is an empty stretcher. Take the syringe from the cart.

Click the Clipboards. There are 6 documents on the board and you enter the close-up of the board and of the 9 containers on top of the cart. Click on all 6 documents that are on the clipboard. Darren reads on the board that the 9 boxes contain the personal items of 9 corpses. So in 1 of the boxes are the things that Fuller was carrying when he was murdered. On the 6 notes are the numbers of the boxes and what is in them. But there are no names on the notes. 

Note 1 has number 394 and therefore lists the contents of box 394. Darren reads what is in box 394 and concludes that this box does not contain Fuller's things. Look at the other 5 notes. When Darren has read all 6 notes on the bulletin board, he suspects that box 448 is the box that could hold Fuller's stuff. 

Left click and then right click on the boxes. Darren says box 448 is Fuller's box. But which box has number 448? Move your cursor over the boxes. You will then read which box is 448. Click  on the box that now has number 448 and Darren reports that this is Fuller's container. Click again on container 448 and ... Darren takes Fuller's keys from the box. 

Darren doesn't want the other stuff, only the keys and they disappear to your inventory. Exit the clos-up. 

 You can take a look at Fuller's corpse, but Darren refuses to touch and examine the corpse. Darren now has Fuller's keys, so go back to:

Fuller's Photo Shop:

The front door has been sealed with tape by the police and Darren can't dare break the seal. So go through the alley to the backyard. The back door has also been sealed by the police. Under the right window is the cellar grate in the ground. Take the Tow rope from inventory and click it on the cellar grate.  Darren ties the rope to the grille and to the bars of the window. Look at the rope (Rope loop).... Darren wonders what the next step is. Take the metal tube from inventory and click it on the Rope loop and ....... 

Darren turns the tube into the job, which is in the cable, and opens the grate with it.

Take the Metal tube back from the rope because you'll need it later. 

Then dive down through the grate hole into the:

Cellar:

The secret door in the wall  behind the photo background is again covered by the photo background cloth. Check out the photo background canvas. Darren tells that the secret door is behind this cloth, but he doesn't dare force anything. Darren has to find the way to pull up the large photo background canvas.

To the left of that red stool you get the cursor on the floor boards that are close to the wall and covered with a piece of carpet. Click those floor boards and listen to what Darren says, while the lights go out every now and then. Darren says that the piece of floor you are looking at now could be a kind of scale. Darren lifts the piece of carpet and .... indeed .... it is a kind of scale.

To the left of Darren are 5 pull ropes. Those ropes are numbered, from left to right, as rope 1, rope 2, rope 3, rope 4 and rope5. You can click each of those 5 ropes separately. If you click on each of those 5 ropes, Darren will pull the cord and ..... another background will come down. By pulling those 5 ropes you change the photo background canvas. Pull each of the 5 ropes to see which background get lowers by each rope.  

The ropes then get the name of the picture they let down.  

Rope 1 shows a Beach background. Rope 2 shows a Castle. Rope 3 shows the Great wall of China.

  Rope 4 shows the Monument Valley. Rope 5 shows a Sphinx.

Go up the basement stairs and then go to the Backroom,  Look at the cuckoo clock, which hangs on the left wall. 

You enter the close-up of the clock. At the bottom right of the dial is a hexagonal keyhole (Hexagonal hole). 

Take Fuller's bunch of keys from inventory and click it on the keyhole and .....

Darren winds the clock with the clock key and ... the clock strikes and a small elongated box comes out of the clock. The box will automatically go to your inventory. Right click in inventory on the box (Carton) and 4 negative slides will come out of the box. Go back to the shop area and continue to Fuller's counter. There is now a flat light box (Light box) on the counter with which slides can be viewed. Right click in inventory on the 4 slides you just found. Darren says that there is almost nothing to see on the slides. Darren sees a few dashes on every slide. Take the slides from inventory and click them on the light box and ... you end up in the

Slide puzzle:

The 4 slides are in the middle of the light box. You can hardly see them because each slide is as white as the light box.  But you can faintly see the outline of each slide. The slides are 2 next to each other, so you have 2 rows of 2 slides. So number the slides 1, 2, 3, 4.There are digital dashes on each slide, but you can't see those dashes right now. However, you can drag the slides all over the screen. Now start dragging the slides one to the area beneath of the screen. The slide will then become visible and you will see small black lines on it.  

You can vaguely see that on each slide there is part of a house and a landscape. You have to rotate each slide so that the house/landscape can be seen normally on the slide. You pick up a slide with your left mouse button and then you can drag the slide. If you hold a slide, you can rotate the slide with your right mouse button. So drag the slides to down to the lower edge of the screen to make the slide visible. Then turn the slide over so that the image on the slide can be seen normally. Then you have the lines on the slides correctly, like this.....

If you have turned each slide well, you must place them on top of each other. The dashes on the slides then coincide and form  a number. Slide 1 is on the bottom. Slide 2 comes on slide 1, then slide 3 and then slide 4. If you do this all right, you will read a number and that number is 2482 and this is the code for the Secret Door

You automatically go out of the close-up and hear Darren say the code.

 If you find this all too difficult, or if you fail, you can always use the Auto-solve button to have the puzzle solved by the game.

 Then go back to Backroom. A World Map hangs on the wall behind the desk. 

There is a note pinned to the right edge of the World Map. Click  the World Map

The map shows Africa, Asia and Oceania. There are 2 places marked on the map, a place in Egypt and a place in China.The note lists the names of the places Fuller visited while traveling the world. You read 3 names on the note. You cannot read 2 names, but you can deduce those names because they are marked on the World Map. So Fuller's world tour went like this: Arizona, Hawaii, Egypt, China, Europe. These are also the places shown on the photo background canvas in the basement. Exit the close-up and go back to the Cellar

The Secret Door puzzle:

Stand in front of the photo backdrop again. So the 5 pull cords hang on the left. You now know the following: Rope 1 shows a Beach background. Rope 2 shows a Castle. Rope 3 shows the Great wall of China. Rope 4 shows the Monument Valley. Rope 5 shows a Sphinx.

Now pull the 5 ropes in the order of Fuller's World Tour:

rope 4 (Monument Valley) = Arizona

rope 1 (Beach) = Hawaii

rope 5 (Sphinx) = Egypt

                      rope 3 (Great Wall of China) = China

   rope 2 (Castle) = Europe.

All curtains go up and the Secret Door becomes visible again.

Click with the exit cursor on the door and you come in the close-up of the code panel to the left of the door.

The slide puzzle has given you the code 2482. So enter this code and then click on the Enter key, bottom right and ..... you leave the close-up, but the Secret Door does not open. Is the code wrong? Or does that scale in the floor also have something to do with it? Now take another look at that scale in the floor (Floor boards) in front of the door.

 Darren thinks that Fuller's exact weight must be on the floor scale to open the door, so Darren must find out how heavy Fuller was. Go back to:

Hospital:

Go to Mother's room. Mother is still in a coma. There is a scale under the bed. You've probably seen the scale before, so you can grab the scale now

.If not, you first look at the scale and then you grab the thing. With the scale you go back to:

Mortuary:

Weigh Fuller:

Continue to Fuller's corpse, which is in the back on the stretcher. Take the scale from inventory and click it on the corpse and ..... 

However, Darren tells you that he cannot weigh the corpse now because Dick, the guard, will see that he is messing with the corpse. So Dicky has to be chased out of his cage for a while. Stay in the morgue because otherwise Darren won't do what you have to do. In inventory, combine the syringe with the bottle of Laxative (Laxavia) to put laxative in the syringe. Then combine the syringe with the lemonade bottle (soda bottle) to inject the laxative into the lemonade. Walk back to guard Dick and then give him the lemonade bottle. 

Dick is not allowed to drink during his shift, so he goes out his cabin to drink the lemonade somewhere out of sight. 

Quickly go back to Fuller's corpse and click the scale on the corpse again and ..... 

Darren weighs Fuller and reports that the corpse plus the stretcher weighs 348 pounds. The weight of the stretcher should be subtracted from this, but how much does an empty stretcher weigh? There is also an empty stretcher in the foreground. Take the scale out of inventory again and click it on the empty stretcher and Darren will know that a stretcher weighs 53 pounds. 

So Fuller's weight would be 295 pounds. Darren weighs in at 198 pounds, so he also has to tip the scales by an extra 99 pounds. If Darren has drawn all these conclusions then....Guard Dick suddenly enters, with his gun drawn. Dick is not used to people just giving him a bottle of soda. So Dick did not trust it and handed the bottle over to the laboratory. 

Dick calls Darren a terrorist who wants to poison him and rob the place and he delivers Darren to the police.

Darren's statement that he wanted to say goodbye to his old boss is obviously not believed by the inspector. But the inspector has no doubts about Darren's good intentions and wants to convince Dick that Darren meant no harm, but he still advises Darren not to interfere further with the matter.

Fuller's Photo Shop:

Cellar:

Darren of course ends up at the front door again, so go to the back door and crawl through the cellar hatch back into the cellar. 

Click again on the floor boards right in front of the secret door. 

Darren automatically puts a number of things on the scale and together those things weigh 99 pounds. Darren himself is also on the scale, so the total weight that is now on the scale is now about the weight of a fully dressed Fuller. Click again with the exit cursor on the secret door to return to the close-up of the code box and then enter the code 2482 again and click the Enter key again and ...

... the secret door will now open. Darren quickly cleans up all the stuff and then stands in front of the Secret Door again. 

Click on the Secret door again and ... Darren opens the door and ends up in Fuller's:

Secret Studio:

Well .... this is where Fuller made his dirty photos. Look at everything you can look at. Examine, several times, the bed, the film camera and the camera tripod. Also look at the chains hanging on the wall, and look at the curtains and the cupboard.
The cupboard is locked and Darren doesn't see a lock or padlock on the cupboard. Left-click a few times on the curtain and .... Darren slides the curtain open and ... a Metal plate is now visible in the wall.

 Look at the Metal Plate. Darren says that there is a 6-sided slot in the plate. On the bedside table is a jar of anesthetics. Look at that jar of anesthetic. The jar contains "Knock-out drops" and Darren muses for a while about what Fuller used these drops for. Look at the bed again. The bed has 4 bed posts and on each bed post is a copper ball. Look at the left front bed post (Brass ball) and then take that copper Ball from this left front pillar. 

Immediately take the copper ball from inventory and click it on the metal plate, in the wall and .... 

Darren put the copper ball in the hole of the metal plate and you will hear "Click". 

Click again  on the cupboard and now the cupboard will open. There are photos in the cupboard.

Take the photos from the cupboard. They are photos of Claire Biba lying blindfolded here on the filthy bed. She was being blackmailed by Fuller.

 There's nothing else you can do here, so pull out the postcard and travel back to the square (Hospital) and then enter the City Hall/Police Station.

Darren tells the inspector what he discovered in Fuller's secret studio. However, this does not convince the Inspector of Angelina's innocence. Then the stranger enters and now introduces himself as Reginald Borris, a "Private Eye" from England. Somehow Reginald Borris came into possession of the photos that Darren took of Angelina in the hotel room. Borris claims he got the photos from Fuller, but he can't. How did that asshole from England get these pictures? The inspector takes the Englishman to question him further. Angelina remains the only possible suspect in Fuller's murder to the Inspector. Go back to the:

Wild Coast Hotel:

The hotel owner/doorman is busy chasing the seagulls off his porch and then goes inside. So go inside and talk to the doorman/owner. 

In this conversation, use all the conversation options you get again. No matter how much you pray and beg...you are not allowed to go up to Angelina's room because the police have ordered not to let anyone into Angelina's room.  Go outside again. To the left of the front door is the veranda, from which the owner has just chased the seagulls away. Darren has to lure the hotel owner outside so that he can quickly and unseen to Angelina's room. The seagull problem has given Darren an idea that is also easy to implement. In your inventory you already have the crumbled bread that you took from Biba's Diner. Take the Breadcrumbs from inventory and click them on the porch and ....

Darren scatters the breadcrumbs on the porch and quickly runs back to the corner. Wait for the hotel owner to come out and walk to the porch. Then quickly click on the hotel door to go back inside. Without the room key, Darren cannot yet enter Angelina's former hotel room. Behind the desk hangs the key to Angelina's room (Room 5). Grab the room key and 

.......then quickly click on the stairs and .... Darren returns to Angelina's hotel room.  Examine the room, so look at everything you can.

 To the right of the bed is a table lamp. Left click the table lamp and Darren discovers that a listening microphone is hidden under the lampshade. 

Darren takes the microphone (Bug) and puts it in inventory. It is a wireless microphone, so there must also be a transmitter hidden somewhere that picks up and forwards the signals. There is a ventilation grille in the wall above the chest of drawers. Left click and right click the ventilation grille and...Darren thinks the transmitter is hidden behind the grille in the ventilation duct.  Left click the ventilation schaft and ... Darren finds the radio transmitter (Radio) which he also stores in inventory. 

In inventory right click the radi. Darren is clueless and wants to ask Eddie about the radio.Leave the room to the hall and Darren gets discovered by the hotel owner, who is angry, Darren is thrown out of the hotel and is never allowed to come back. Go to Eddie's Junk Shop. Go inside and talk to Eddie again.

Darren returns the slide projector to Eddie. Continue talking to Eddie and use all the options you get again. 

Eddie says the radio transmitter Darren found in Angelina's hotel room only has a range of a few miles. None of his broadcast buddies in town would hide something like that in a lady's room. But last night at 6:00, Eddie heard a stranger on the long wave transmitter saying something about a girl who was now "safe." The stranger said he would send another message at 6 am today. Darren is convinced it was Reginald Borris. Darren asks Eddie if he can track down the transmitter. That's no problem with triangulation, according to Eddie. He already has the first radio beacon transmitter in his shop. To install a second tracker, however, Eddie needs a few more parts: copper wire, a metal rod, headphones and a compass.

You already have a metal bar because you have taken back when you used it to open Fuller's basement grate.

 If you forgot that then you will have to go back to Fuller's backyard to retrieve that metal bar from the tow rope. 

So you still have to look for copper wire, headphones and a compass. Travel back to Mother and Darren's home. The TV is in the living room. To the right of the TV are headphones (Headphone). Take the Headphones. There is a Telescope at the left wall. At the top of the telescope is a compass. Click the Telescope and Darren takes the Compass that is at the top of the telescope tube. 

Go to Biba's Dinner. Don't go in. The cord with the lights hangs above the windows. The lights are now off because it is still daytime. 

Take the wire cutters from your inventory and click it on the string of lights

Darren climbs back onto the dumpster and cuts off a piece of the wire with thewire cutters.

 So now you also have a piece of copper wire, but there is a plastic casing around it. In inventory, combine the wire cutter with the wire (Cable) to remove the plastic cover. You then have a copper wire left (Copper wire). You now have all the stuff for Eddie, so go back to Eddie's Junk Shop. Talk to Eddie again and Darren automatically gives Eddie the Headphones, the Compass, the Copper Wire and the Metal Bar and..........

Eddie then gives Darren the receiver and explains how to use it for Darren. Naturally

Darren goes back to the coast at the Wild Coast Hotel. 

Compass / receiver puzzle

You are in close-up view of the Compass. You hear beeps. The receiver is located above the compass. 

You have to turn the white needle of the level transmitter all the way to the right, to the small red zone. The beeps are then the fastest and loudest to hear. To turn the white needle to the red zone you have to turn the compass. In the middle of the compass you see the N, E, S and N and those are the wind directions. The compass has a graduation that goes from 0 to 270 degrees. You have to find the number of degrees at which the needle of the leveling transmitter just ends up in the red zone and at which the beeps can be heard the fastest. 

Note: if you cannot solve the compass puzzle, you can use the Auto-solve button

So you start at 0. Click with on the W and ... the compass jumps to 90 degrees.

To the left of 90 you see 75. Now keep clicking on the N until the red line is at 75

The white needle of the level transmitter is now in the red zone and you will now hear the beeps very quickly and loudly. 

Now click on the red button at the bottom right and ..... 

Darren will automatically go back to Eddie because it's good

Meanwhile, Eddie has gauged the transmission from his store at 90 degrees. 

Darren plots the 75 degrees and the 90 degrees on the chart and they intersect at the coast

So Borris broadcast from a boat. Eddie has understood the Morse code transmission. Borris reported that he would look for Darren tonight. This now gives Darren the chance to search the boat of that Borris and with the boat of one of Eddie's friends Darren has sailed to the boat of that Borris and he is now on the:

Boat of Reginald Boris:

Darren is on the aft deck. On the left and right are wooden benches and the steering wheel is on the left bench. There is a drawer in the left sofa. Click the left bench a few time and Darren slides open the drawer and lists what's inside. Among other things, there's a jerry can with petrol in the drawer. At this point, Darren doesn't want to take anything out of the drawer, so he closes the drawer again. Click with the exit cursor on the cabin door and Darren ends up below deck in the cabin.

An oil lamp hangs from the ceiling. On the left and right is another bench. A drawing (Picture) hangs on the wall at the left bank. There is a laptop on the desk in the back. The desk has drawers. To the right of the laptop is a plastic folder. There is also a cabinet with a bust on it. Behind that bust are a few photos on the wall and also a painting.

Look at the drawing hanging above the left sofa. Darren says that it is a drawing and that there are lines on it. The drawing says "The Road to Eldorado" and Eldorado is located in South America. Look at the right sofa (Seat). You enter the close-up of the right seat. There is a drawer under the seat but the drawer is locked. Look at the lock. Darren reports that it's not a really strong lock, but he doesn't want to force the lock anyway. Get out of the close-up. Left-click 2x on the middle drawer (Drawer) in the desk. Darren slide open the drawer and find a key

Click a few times on the Laptop. 

Darren finds a "Willow Creek" folder on the laptop containing pictures of the Black Mirror castle. 

Darren wonders what this Borris has to do with a place from which his mother regularly received money.

Click the photos, which are pasted on the wall behind the bust. 

The photos show Darren and Angelina and they were taken yesterday by Reginald Borris. Take the Photos to store them in your inventory. 

Left-click 2x on the painting, which hangs on the wall above the bust. Darren folds the painting away and finds the Safe. 

The safe has a dial with which you have to set the correct code. Darren doesn't know that code yet, so leave the safe alone for now. Look at the folder, which is next to the laptop on the desk. Then take the Folder. However, Darren first only takes the plastic sleeve that contains the brochure because there are lines on the sleeve. Then Darren sees that there are pictures of Angelina and some drawings of Borris in the folder. This is proof that Borris followed Angelina, so Darren also takes the folder.

Find the Safe Code:

Take the cover of the folder (Transparent foil) from inventory and click it on the "Eldorado" drawing that hangs above the left seat. 

You end up in the close-up of the drawing of South America

You see the map of South America and the transparent Foil. There are lines on both the map and the foil. 

There are 3 oblique lines on the foil, namely in the top left corner, the top right corner and the bottom right corner. At the end of the lines, on the foil and on the card, you will see little stars. What you have to do is to slide the foil over the map until the 3 lines on the foil exactly coincide with 3 of the same lines on the map. You can also rotate the foil with your right mouse button. So move and turn the foil over the map until you have aligned the 3 lines on the foil with exactly the same 3 lines on the map

If you think you have placed the foil correctly on the card, click to click the foil into place. If you don't get it or find the puzzle too difficult, wait for the Auto-solve button to appear and then use this button again to get the puzzle solved. If you are correct, you will automatically leave the puzzle and you will hear Darren sum up a route: Southwest, South, Southeast, East, Northeast and Northwest. 

This is the safe combination that you have to turn with the button of the Safe. Now click on the safe and you end up in the close-up of the Safe:

The Safe puzzle:

The dial indicates the directions, so N = North, E = East, S = South. W = West. But you can also click the button between the letters.

Between N and E = North East (NE). Between E and S = Southeast (SE). Between S and W = Southwest (SW). Between S and N = Northwest (NW).

Above the dial are 6 boxes. The puzzle with the foil on the map of South America has given you the correct code and the order in which you must now turn the dial: SW, S, SE, E, NE and NW. So you have to turn the dial in that order to the right direction. You can do this by clicking the dial or click inside the boxes....Each time the letter will appear at the top of the 6 boxes. You start on the N.

Step 1: Click with your left mouse button and keep doing so until the arrow button is on SW. SW is in the first box.

Step 2: Right-click until the arrow button is on S. In the 2nd box is the S.

                                                Step 3: Click with your left mouse button until the arrow button is on SE. In the 3rd box it says SE.

        Step 4: Right-click until the arrow button is on E. The 4th box contains the E.

                                                  Step 5: Click with your left mouse button to move the arrow button to NE. In the 5th box it says NE.

                      Step 6: Right-click to move the arrow button to NW. In the 6th box it says NW and ....

the safe opens and you exit the close-up.if you find even this safe puzzle difficult, you can use the Auto-solve button again to solve the puzzle. Click in the now open safe and .... Darren takes a Ring with a Celtic Symbol on it and a Diskette from the safe.  When you have opened the safe and unpacked the Ring and the Diskette, take the diskette from inventory and click it on the laptop to view the contents of the diskette. 

But unfortunately .... the battery of the laptop is empty and so the laptop turns off. There is no electricity on board, so Darren cannot charge the laptop's battery. Look at the right seat with your eye again. You return to the close-up of the sofa. Take the Key, which you took from the drawer of the desk, from inventory and click it on the lock of the drawer under the seat

The drawer opens. The power generator is in the drawer. Click on the generator...... Darren tries to start the generator but there is no gas in the generator. Go back outside to the aft deck via the left edge of the screen. Click the left bench again (Box) and Darren opens the drawer under the sofa again and now he takes the jerry can with petrol from the drawer. 

Go back into the cabin and zoom in again on the drawer in the right sofa. 

Take the jerry can from inventory and click it on the generator to fill the generator with the petrol from the jerry can.

Then click on the generator again and ......

 Darren starts the generator again and now the thing starts. There is power again and the laptop is working again.

 Click on the laptop again. The laptop's battery has been recharged and Darren can now view the data on the floppy disk.

On the floppy disk, Darren discovers his mother's medical records after the "accident" in 1973. Did Borris already know his mother when she still lived in England? Darren reviews the rest of the data. They're photos from Fuller's photo shop. Claire Biba is in the photos, half hidden in the shadows and there is also a later photo of Angelina in the shop. This proves Angelina's innocence. Then all of a sudden Reginald Borris enters the cabin and threatens Darren with a gun. 

Darren briefly knocks Borris down and flees to the deck, but Borris goes after him. 

You have to be quick now or Darren will be shot by Borris. Quickly ..Click on the mast (Boom) with the rolled up sail and .....

Darren swings the mast at Borris head. Borris grabs his head and ..... Darren knocks Borris overboard with an oar.

That same night, Darren and Angelina are sitting on a dune top near the hotel.

Angelina says she's going back to England. She goes to Willow Creek to see if she can learn more about Darren and his mother. Darren would love to come along, but understands that he has to stay in Biddeford until his mother gets better.
A few days later, Darren is in the restaurant, when Claire Biba comes to tell him to go to the hospital right away.

Leave the restaurant via the exit cursor at the bottom right. and then walk one screen to the left, to the square. Continue to the left and then enter the Hospital again. The receptionist nurse tells Darren that Dr. Newhouse is waiting for him in Mother's room. So go to the room where Darren's mother is and ..... the room is empty.

Newhouse enters and tells that Darren's mother died of cardiac arrest that morning. Darren is distraught with grief. We then end up in the living room of Mother's house where the telephone rings. It's Angelina calling from Willow Creek England. Angelina reports seeing Reginald Borris in Willow Creek. Apparently there is a conspiracy going on. Darren enters and just hears Angelina calling for help before the call is abruptly cut off. Darren goes to sleep and Night has another nightmare.

The next morning, Darren sets out on a journey to Willow Creek, England.
