Chapter 2:

Willow Creek:

It's the next morning and Adrian is lying on Dr.'s couch. Winterbottom for his first hypnosis therapy session and he has described his last dream to Winterbottom.

 We see young Adrian and his sister Angelina running through the woods around the Black Mirror Castle

There was also an adult man with the 2 children, but Adrian no longer remembers who it was. Angelina fell into a hole and screamed in panic. Adrian walked to the hole but we don't see what happened next because at this point in the dream Adrian comes out of hypnosis again. Winterbottom suggests to Adrian that they visit the place in the forest. Perhaps that will create more memories and she also gives Adrian a prescription for tablets to suppress his hallucinations. Adrian can hand in the prescription to Abaya in the shop next to the police station.

The session is then over. Click with your talk cursor on Winterbottom to continue talking to her via conversation options about the events in the forest and the forest hut. Winterbottom then says that the white ghost of the woman Adrian saw through the window is a local legend. She also has a logical explanation for the dogs Adrian saw.  Leave Dr. Winterbottom, via the Exit on the stairs. 

Back outside, Adrian briefly sums up what he has to do today. Go over the bridge to the square and to the shop.  Criminal Matt Newcastle sits at the Pastry Stand. Click on the shop door but the shop is closed, and that is strange. To the left of the shop door is a rain barrel. Look at the rain barrel and then click on it with your gear cursor and ....

The rain barrel is apparently the store's mailbox and Adrian takes out a Package from a Tea Supplier. The package is for Murray from the Gordon Palace Hotel. Adrian also finds his medicine in the rain barrel, so he takes it. Adrian puts the prescription in the barrel, so that Abaya knows that he has taken the medicine. You can go talk to Newcastle at the pastry stand, but he doesn't have anything important to say. Enter the police station again. Spooner isn't there, so go talk to Constable Zak. Constable Zak is a bit "pissed off" because Spooner hasn't shown up and is therefore all alone. Talk to Zak through all topics.

According to Zak, Spooner is at the diner. Adrian asks if Murray has been there yet and he has, but Zak doesn't know what Murray discussed with Spooner, and even if he did he wouldn't tell Adrian. Zak knows the legend of the "White Lady" in the forest. Once you have "discussed" everything with Zak, leave the police station and go to the cafe to see if Spooner is there.

That older lady, her name is Dorothy, who fled from the store earlier, is now also here and.....as soon as she sees Adrian she flees again. Denise and Spooner are not present, but waiter Edward and Bobby are, who are busy cleaning the tables. Could Denise and Spooner be fapping in the pantry? Bobby remembers Adrian from Black Mirror 2 when Bobby had a job at the museum, Talk to Bobby.

Bobby was fired from the Museum because he kept losing the key and not paying close attention to the things. Because Bobby thinks that Denise is his "girlfriend", he now helps her, on a voluntary basis, in the café. Bobby goes on to say that his brother Tom is currently out of town and that is a good thing, because he wants to attack Adrian when he sees him. Talk to waiter Edward. Edward hasn't seen the inspector and Denise today. Edward also says that no one from the Gordon family has ever been to the cafe, which is why there are no photos of the Gordon's in the cafe.  

Once you have discussed everything with Bobby and Edward, open the map (M key) and travel via the map to the Gordon Palace Hotel

Enter the hotel again. Murray is not behind the counter. Walk to the left and knock on the office door.

No one answers so Adrian goes inside to put the package on Muray's desk. Adrian then sees a receipt on the desk. It's a receipt for the payment of the $5,000 bail. Murray paid Adrian's bail Then Murray enters. Adrian wants to know why the stingy Murray of all people spent so much money to buy someone he doesn't even like out of jail. 

After much insistence, Murray tells him that in the three weeks that Adrian was in jail, no one was murdered and that is not good for his business. Murray hopes that now that Adrian is free again, he will continue starts killing the locals, because that gives the hotel full rooms. There's no better tourist attraction than some murderous maniacs massacring the local mob. Adrian flies into a rage and wants to leave the hotel immediately.

Back in the lobby, open the map again and travel back to Warmhill Church. Back at the front of the church, turn left again into the cemetery. In the cemetery you now get the Exit cursor on the fence gate, top right, the gate that Adrian says leads to the parsonage. So click on the back gate with your exit cursor and....

Adrian ends up at the vicarage, the home of Pastor Frederick.

At the back of the yard there is a shed where the gravedigger Mark is busy with carpentry work. On the left, a Tree lopper leans against the side wall of the parsonage. Against the garden wall, straight, lies a stack of firewood, covered by an old door with a round window. Take the Tree lopper and then knock on the front door (door) of the vicarage,, between the 2 bay windows. No one opens the door, so apparently Father Frederick has not yet returned from his outing. Go talk to the gravedigger Mark and use all options.

Gravedigger Mark also knows the legend of the "white Lady" in the forest and he says that the Lady only shows herself to someone with a pure heart. If you use the "Anonymus grave" topic, the gravedigger tells that poor people, murderers and suicides are buried in those nameless graves. Suicides are buried face down so that they can no longer climb out of the grave as a ghost. You also get the impression that the gravedigger is not a fan of the Gordon family, but who is in Willow Creek.

Once you have discussed everything with Gravedigger, open the map again and travel back to Willow Creek. Via the map, Adrian ends up in the street at Joyce Winterbottom is. Adrian will probably enter the street from the left side. Then immediately click the Exit "Road to the woods",  the exit on the left side of the street, to end up in the forest again. Adrian is back in the forest at the first junction. On the left a forest path goes into the forest and on the right a "gravel path". Click the Exit cursor on the gravel path to go one screen to the right

Adrian gets a flashback from his youth and it scares him so much that he immediately takes a few pills from Dr. Winterbottom takes over. On your left is a wooden gate with barbed wire in front of it. If you go further up one screen you will end up at the old lighthouse, but Adrian has no business there now. However, you can do it so that the Lighthouse is also a location that you can travel to via the map. Then return here. 

So go back to the forest path with the wooden gate. On the left There is Barbed wire at the bottom of the gate. Behind the wooden gate is the path that leads to Dr. Hermann house. Look at the wooden gate and the barbwire and listen to Adrian. Take the tree Tree lopper from inventory and click with it on the barbed wire to cut the barbed wire.When Adrian has cut away the barbed wire, click on the gatewith the gear cursor and Adrian then climbs over the fence and he then automatically walks to:

The House of Dr. Heinz Hermann:

So this is the house where the now deceased Dr. Heinz Hermann lived, the doctor who signed baby Adrian Gordon's death certificate. Adrian remembers that he and his sister Angelina often played here and this is where his sister Angelina also fell into the hole. Adrian wants to see if he can still find the hole where his sister Angelina fell when he and Angelina were still children. So you should check out all the "Hotspots" here. If you forget a Hotspot, Adrian refuses to leave again. Press your spacebar to reveal all the "hotspots" and then view those "hotspots" with your eye and do that several times.

The corner, left of the front door, is overgrown with weeds. There are 4 large gray boulders in front of the weeds. 

Above the 2 middle boulders you get a "Dark place" as a click spot. Then look at that dark place with your eye and......

.......Adrian will find a Light Sticker under the boulder. It is a light sticker that Adrian also found in the forest hut. On the far left in the weeds is a "Place in the bushes" spot. Also look at that "Place in the bushes" with your eye cursor. Against the left side wall of the house is a large garbage container that is locked with a padlock. Examine the garbage container. Behind the garbage container is a wooden fence where you get "Place behind fence" as a click spot. There is a car wreck in front of the house. Look at the car and......Adrian walks to the car and has another vision.

 Behind the car is the forest and there is a click spot "Place on edge of woods", so check out this place too. Also check out the below first left window and the "GORE" letters above the front door. Look at the front door (Entrance). Adrian then knocks, but no one opens the door. The intercom is located to the right of the front door. Click on the intercom with your gear cursor but the thing doesn't work. Once you have looked at every "hotspot" and found the light sticker and Adrian has had his vision, Adrian wants to get out of here. Then open the map and travel back to

Warmhill:

Find the grave of Samuel Gordon:

Enter the church again. Father Fredericks is back and is standing in front of the altar at the back of the church hall.

Look at  Father Frederick and then click on the pastor with your talk cursor to have Adrian walk to the pastor and talk to the man. Father Frederick has obviously heard and read about Adrian and thinks that Adrian has come to confess his sins. Use all conversation topics but especially the topics "Samuel's grave" and "Anonymus graves".

You now only get the topics "Samuel's grave" and "Anonymus graves" if you have previously viewed the "Anonymus graves" and Samuel's grave (memorial stone) in the cemetery. If you do not get these 2 topics, go to the cemetery first view those graves and then come back to talk to Father Fredericks about these 2 topics.

Fredericks says the cemetery is very old and some of the graves are more than 800 years old. The pastor tells a long story about the origins of the church and the brothers Marcus and Mordred Gordon. In the year 1213, Marcus murdered his brother Mordred and in revenge, Mordred cursed all future male descendants of Marcus. And so the Curse of Mordred Gordon was created, which is what this entire 3-part Black Mirror series revolves around. As penance, Marcus built this Warmhill church, also in the year 1213, and a few years later he founded the Academy. Both the church and the Academy are on "Pagan ground". The Gordon family crypt was built in the year 1512.

Adrian then tells the pastor who he really is, namely Adrian Gordon. The pastor is surprised by this because, according to him, Adrian Gordon died at the age of 13 as a result of a fall down the stairs in the Black Mirror castle. Hela.....that is a different story than Inspector Spooner told because he said that Adrian Gordon died as a baby. Fredericks also does not know in which, unnamed, grave Samuel Gordon is buried, but he then gives Adrian a List of Names of those buried here in the cemetery. You only get this List of Names if you can talk to Fredericks about Samuel's grave, and that is only possible if you have previously viewed all the graves in the cemetery with your eye cursor.

If you have received the Name List from Fredericks and you have used all the other topics of conversation, only the "Marcus and Mordred" topic remains. The "Marcus and Mordred" topic won't go away either, even if you use it over and over again. so now click the X to end the end this conversation.

In inventory you now have the List of Names (List of burials from 1981), which Adrian just received from Fredericks. Right-click on the Name List in inventory. Adrian looks at the list. There are 5 names on the list of the 5 people who were buried in the cemetery in August 1981, in an anonymous grave. They are: Dr. Heinz Hermann, Henry Stanton, Robert Gordon, James and Samuel Gordon. When Adrian has looked at the list of names, talk to Father  Fredericks again and then ask him about all the 5 people on the List of Names, and also use all follow-up options. Fredericks then tells what he knows about these 5 people.

Dr. Heinz Hermann: After Hermann's death, the terrible things he did in his sanatorium came to light, such as the experiments on living patients. Henry Stanton: Fredericks knows nothing about Stanton and he advises Adrian to ask Mark, the gravedigger. Robert Gordon: Robert was Victoria's eldest son and the director of the Sanatorium. Robert performed terrible experiments on James, the bastard son of William Gordon. James probably killed Robert afterwards. James: James was an illegitimate son of William Gordon and hanged himself after killing Robert. 

William Gordon: Not in the family crypt because he probably committed suicide. It could not really be determined whether William killed himself or whether it was murder. Victoria and Samuel believed that William had been pushed out of the window of the castle tower, but the police were convinced that William had jumped himself. Fredericks also talks about the "Last rites". 

When Fredericks has told you all this, then click on the X again to end the conversation. Leave the church and go to the Graveyard, to the left of the church, and then to the vicarage Talk to gravedigger Mark again, who is still working on the shed, and ask him about Henry Stanton......Mark says that Henry Stanton was the gardener of Black Mirror Castle. Henry was quite a drinker and, in a drunken state, drowned in the castle pond. Tom, the pub owner, was friends with Henry, so perhaps Tom can tell us more about Henry. After this conversation with Mark, walk back, via the bottom of the screen, to:

Graveyard:

Look again at the "anonymous Graves", which are at the bottom of the screen. 

Adrian now wants to find out who is buried in these anonymous graves. Adrian reads the 7 names from the name list and then he tears the paper into 5 pieces. Why 5?. Adrian already knows that Victor, Amanda Valley's little brother, cannot be here, because Victor has been murdered. Adrian also knows that William Gordon is not here. You will then see 5 anonymous graves and the 5 pieces of paper with the names of: Dr. Heinz Hermann, Henry Stanton, Dr. Robert Gordon, James and Samuel Gordon. 

The idea is to stick each name on the correct gravestone. You can also have this puzzle solved automatically, because after about 2 minutes the Auto-solve lever will appear again at the bottom right. If you want to solve the puzzle yourself, first look at each tombstone with your eye. Adrian then tells what is written on the tombestone and these are clues from which you can determine who is in that grave. Then pick up a piece of name paper and click this piece of paper on the correct gravestone. If you have clicked all 5 names on the correct stone, you will automatically exit the puzzle. Here is the correct solution: Number the graves, from back left to front right, as 1 to 5. Then look at each grave and listen to Adrian and then draw your conclusions.

On grave 1 the text says: "For Christ is my life and to die is my gain". You know that hellish experiments were carried out on James Gordon in the sanitarium. So death would have been welcome for James. You also know that all Gordon's graves have a text. It is therefore not wrong to conclude that the rear left grave must be the grave of James Gordon.

On grave 3 the text says: "Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world." Suicide is a sin. Samuel Gordon committed suicide. There is also a bouquet of flowers at grave 3. Those flowers indicate that there is a living family member who looks lovingly at the grave. Grave 3 must therefore be the grave of Samuel Gordon. On grave 4 is a dream catcher.  Dr. Winterbottom's house also has such a dream catcher and you know that Winterbottom was friends with Dr. Winterbottom's family. Hermann. So grave 4 is Dr.'s grave. Heinz Hermann.

On grave 5, Adrian reads: "Full of motherly love for his soul, full of contempt for his actions." Robert Gordon was Victoria's son and James was William's illegitimate child. Samuel was Victoria's grandson. So grave 5 is the grave of Robert Gordon. That leaves grave 2. Grave 2 is rather neglected and must therefore be the grave of Henry Stanton. After all, Stanton has no family living here who can take care of the grave. So the solution is: 

Grave 1 = James. Grave 2 = Henry Stanton. Grave 3 = Samuel Gordon. Grave 4 = Dr. Heinz Hermann. Grave 5 = Dr. Robert Gordon

Once you have clicked the 5 names on the correct graves, you will automatically exit this screen and Adrian will then take a closer look at the grave of his father, Samuel Gordon, but he will find no clue. Adrian only finds a text from the Bible on his father's grave, which he reads aloud. Go back to the front of the church and then enter the church again. Click on Fathe rFredericks again with your talk cursor to talk with him again. Now ask the pastor about "Samuel's grave" and/or about the "Bible quotation from anonymous grave".

 Fredericks says that the inscription on Samuel's grave comes from the Bible: John 1, 15-29. 

Adrian has also read these lines on the pillar at the front right of the church. 

Close the conversation and then click again with your eye cursor on the rightmost pillar, in the foreground of the church (Columns).

Adrian goes to read that Bible saying again and now discovers a secret compartment in the pillar and in that secret compartment Adrian finds a note. 

The note tells Adrian to keep quiet about everything he will learn from now on if he doesn't want to end up like his father. In addition, Adrian must complete a few tasks to prove his innocence once and for all. Click the note away. Adrian thinks this note is another one of Murray's lame jokes, but he decides to play along anyway. Adrian's first assignment is to look out for people who need help and to provide that help.

Forest Path

Open the map and travel back to Black Mirror Castle via the map. Adrian ends up at the gates of the castle again. However, do not enter the castle, but walk straight back onto the forest path, via the bottom left exit. Follow the paved forest path back to Willow Creek and....on the way Adrian encounters Phil who is having car trouble on the forest road.

 It's the car you saw earlier in front of Dr. Heinz Hermann house. Phil is tinkering under the hood.  Look at Phil and then talk to him. Phil isn't exactly friendly, but we find out the car is his. After the introductory conversation, Adrian dives under the hood to see if he can repair the car. While Adrian is looking at the engine you will be given conversation options that you can discuss further with Phil. You initially get the options "Car" and "Phil" and once you have used these 2 you get the "Ralph" option. So first talk to Phil about the car and about Phil and then use the "Ralph" option and...... as soon as you click on the "Ralph" option things go wrong because....

Phil rams Adrian unconscious with the hood and.....we then end up in:

The House of Dr. Hermann

Phil has locked the unconscious Adrian in the basement of Hermann's house, in the operating room.

Adrian comes to and there is a "chat" with Phil who then leaves the house.

Adrian is in a coffin and it is dark in the coffin. You can faintly see Adrian's right hand and right foot. So press your space bar to see the 4 "hotspots". On the left is the "Head end" hotspot. In the middle of the screen is the "side wall" hotspot. At the top center is the "Ceiling" hotspot and at Adrian's foot is the "Foot end" hotspot. View all 4 hotspots with your eye cursor. Adrian then tells you that it is in a metal coffin but that the "Ceiling" and the "Foot end" are quite rusty. You will then get the gear cursor on "Ceiling" and on "Foot end". Click with the gear cursor on "Ceiling" again and...Adrian bangs his fist on the lid and..."Ceiling" then becomes "Stretcher". Open the inventory and take out the Corkscrew and click with the Corkscrew on the "Stretcher" spot and.....

Adrian screws the corkscrew into the lid. The corkscrew is then a lever (Improvised handle).

Click with your gear cursor on the "Improvised handle" spot and.....

Adrian then slides the lid completely open and then climbs out of the coffin.

Adrian is now out of the coffin and he is standing in the dark operating room. It's not as dark as in the coffin, but you still can't see much. At the back left you will see a red light. Click with your gear cursor on the red light. Adrian presses the red light....Adrian reports that the red light is an Intercom and he will then automatically find the light switch which he then presses. The light above the dirty operating table comes on and a lamp on the desk also comes on. So there is light now. Adrian is in the former operating room of Dr. Hermann, in the cellars of his house. Find all hotspots and click on them

Examine the door to Adrian's left. Look at the operating table (Dissecting table). There is a projector and pliers on the operating table. Look the Projector and Adrian turns on the projector. The Projector provides extra light. To the left of the operating table you see blood stains on the floor. Examine the bloodstains. There is a filing cabinet at the bottom right. Click on the filing cabinet with your gear cursor and Adrian will take a number of medical files out of the cupboard and read them in the light of the desk lamp.

These include the death certificates of James Gordon and Ralph and all certificates contain the signature of Dr. Hermann. Adrian reads in Ralph's certificate that he died on September 1, 1981 of a broken neck. Still strange.....because Dr. Hermann himself died a month earlier. Adrian then puts the file back in the cupboard. 

In the back wall you see an archway containing the body drawers.1 of the body drawers has been extended. Look at the Body drawers (Refrigerated compartmens).  If you have examined the body drawers with your eye, you will notice that there is a body bag in the opened body drawer. 

Click with your gear cursor on the Body Bag and....Goddamn...there is a body in the bag.

Horrified, Adrian quickly closes the drawer. Below the drawer whit the corpse the is the drawer where Adrian was placed by Phil. That drawer has a padlock. Move your cursor over the body drawers to the right until you can view the "Middle compartment". Click with your eye on the "Middle compartment" and......

Adrian reports that there is someone in this drawer. The drawer is also locked with a padlock and whoever is in the drawer is apparently fast asleep. There is a shelving unit near the desk. There is a Cassette player in the shelving unit. There is a skeleton and a chair in front of the shelving unit. There is a Thigh bone on the floor in front of the skeleton. Look at the chair and the Skeleton. Adrian demolishes the skull of the skeleton and stores the skull in inventory. Also take the Thigh bone, which is on the floor in front of the skeleton.

 Inventory right click on the skull you just took and......Adrian finds a full film reel in the skull. Adrian automatically removes the film reel from the skull. You then have a full film reel in inventory and you have lost the skull again. Click on the desk with your eye cursor to take a closer look at the desk in close-up. There are books at the back left of the desk. There is a Bunsen burner in front of the books. There is a pack of cigarettes and a pill bottle near the Bunsen burner. There is a metal box next to the lamp and a chopping knife in front of the metal box. You can open the top drawer of the desk.

Check out the books and the metal box. The metal box is locked with a combination lock. Look at the cleaver. Take the pill bottle.....Adrian reports that there was smelling salt in the bottle. Take the cigarette pack. Open the top drawer and then take out the book. It turns out to be a chemistry book. Once you take the book out of the drawer, you will see that there is also a Scalpel in the drawer. The scalpel was under the book, so grab the Scalpel as well.

 Adrian then reads in the chemistry book that smelling salts are made by heating staghorn powder. Get out of the close-up of the desk. Adrian has found a full film reel in the sskull and he can play that film via the projector on the operating table. Take the Film Reel from inventory and click it on the projector. Adrian puts the reel on the projector.  The projector shines the light on the projection screen, which hangs above the sinks. Look at the projection screen with your eye.

Then pick up the Projector and click it on the projection screen

Adrian points the projector at the screen and you end up in the Projector/Film screen. The film shows a mountain. 

At the bottom of your screen you will see 2 switches. Above each switch you will see three small arrow buttons. You can make the film play slower with the 3 buttons above the left switch. You start the film with the three buttons above the right switch. If you click the right switch to the right, you start the movie. If you click the right switch back to the middle, the film will stop again. Click on the left button to rewind the film.

You are supposed to start the film and then pay close attention to a change in the color of the film. The film only shows the mountain and is only short, but if you pay close attention you will see that the mountain changes. Unfortunately the film is in black and white and that is not good. Find the Exit cursor, on the left or right edge of the screen and Exit from this screen . Adrian then says that there is something wrong with the film. There is something missing from the film and that is color. You have to find a Color Filter.  Click again on the Projection Screen with your gear cursor to roll up the projection screen.

Now move your cursor to just below the rectangular light that is projected onto the wall by the projector. 

You will then have a place called "Camera accessories" as a "hotspot". 

Click with your hand cursor on the "Camera accessories" spot and Adrian finds and grabs a Color Filter and he stores the filter in inventory. Click again on the Projection screen with your gear cursor to pull the screen down again. Take the Color Filter from inventory and click it on the projector to place the filter in front of the projector lens.

Then pick up the projector again and click it on the projection screen again to return to the film.

You see the 2 switches again and also the Auto-solve lever. If you do not want to solve the puzzle yourself, click on the Auto-solve lever. If you want to solve the puzzle yourself, here is the solution. Number the arrow buttons above the 2 switches, from left to right, 1 to 6. Above the 2 switches there are 6 round buttons with which you can slide a color filter in front of the projector lens. Number those round buttons, from left to right, A, B, C, D, E, F

Click on arrow button 1 to move the left switch to the left. Click on arrow button 6 to click the right switch to the right and then look closely at the film. The film starts running and after a few seconds the color and appearance of the mountain changes. As soon as you see that the mountain in the film has become slightly darker, click on arrow button 5 to move the right switch to the middle ....this stops the film

If it went too fast, rewind the film by clicking on button 4 to move the right switch to the left. Then try again. If the mountain looks like the one above on the right screenshot, click on the round F button and then on the round B button to place the red filter and the yellow filter in front of the lens, so that you then have an orange filter in front of the lens. Through the orange filter you see that there is a number on the mountain and that number is 2180. You will then automatically exit the puzzle.

Click on the desk with your eye cursor again to return to the close-up of the desk. Click with your gear cursor on the metal box. 

Adrian sets the code 2180 on the combination lock of the box and he then takes an envelope from the box. 

A letter comes out of the envelope, which Adrian then reads aloud.

It is a letter from Murray and in it he instructs someone to give "fire devil" Adrian a "hand" and to then take pictures of it. Click the letter away. There is also someone in the middle body drawer and Adrian now wants to free that person from his plight. However, that drawer is locked with a padlock and Adrian has nothing with which to break the lock. That Phil must have the key to that body drawer with him, so Phil will have to be lured here and overpowered.

If you haven't already done that, first pick up the Thigh Bone that was/is on the floor in front of the skeleton. There is a cassette player in the shelving unit on the top shelf. Take another look at that cassette player. Adrian doesn't say it in so many words, but that cassette player has an electrical cord. Take the Scalpel from inventory and click it on the cassette player. 

With the Scalpel, Adrian then cuts off a piece of the electrical cable of the cassette player.

 Walk back to the red light (intercom). Take the piece of Electrical Wires from inventory and click with it on the red Intercom.

Adrian fixes the intercom. The intercom light will then be green. Now to lure Phil here. 

Pick up the Projector again and click it on the cellar door. 

Adrian turns the projector so that the projector's lamp shines fully on the door. 

Anyone who enters through the door will be completely blinded for a moment by the bright lamp of the projector. 

Now click with your gear cursor on the green Intercom and.....

Adrian presses the green button, but a short circuit occurs. But it's enough to make Phil come to the cellar...

.Phil has a rifle and a pistol......Phil enters the basement but is completely blinded for a moment.

 Adrian has hidden himself and Phil walks to the operating table.

 Quickly take the Thigh bone from inventory and ram Phil unconscious with it. 

Phil collapses unconscious on the floor. Look at the unconscious Phil with your eye cursor Adrian takes Phil's gun and his keys.

Now look for the "Padlock" hotspot on the body drawers. Take Phil's Keyring from inventory and click it on the Padlock

Adrian removes the padlock with one of Phil's keys. The drawer may now be locked, but not open yet. 

The "padlock" spot is now called "Middle compartment" again, so click with your gear cursor on the "Middle Compartment" to open this drawer

Adrian finds an unconscious Ralph in the drawer. Ralph has been severely tortured and sedated and Adrian cannot wake Ralph up. Heated Staghorn powder is needed to wake Ralph up again.  Pick up the Projector again and click it again on the Projection Screen to point the projector towards the projection screen again, otherwise Adrian wouldn't want to leave the basement. 

Then click on the door with your Exit cursor and Adrian leaves the basement and ends up in the ground floor hall of the house.

At the bottom left is a desk with a computer on it. There is a floppy disk to the left of the computer. On the wall, behind the desk, is a trolley with bottles on it. On the right is a large display case. To the left of the display cabinet there is a television that is on. There is a mountain of junk (Electrical junk) in front of the television. A cable runs from the desk, across the floor and under the pile of junk and disappears under the display cabinet. There is also an armchair near the troop. Above the television and the troop there is a hammock (cover) and behind the hammock is the front door (door).

 At the back left are the stairs and near the stairs is a deer antler (Stag's head).On the wall, to the basement, are letters.  Check out the cable. Adrian reports that the cable disappears under the large display cabinet. Now you can also see that there is apparently a secret compartment at the bottom left of the display case. The left glass door of the display cabinet is open. 

 Click with the gear cursor in the display cabinet and......Adrian takes a Glass Flask from the cabinet.

Examine the drawers under the glass doors of the display cabinet. Adrian then discovers the secret compartment. 

Click with your gear cursor on the Secret compartment.

Adrian reports that it is a metal plate, but hI don't want to open the box now. Click on the computer. However, Adrian does not want to do anything with the computer now... he wants to take care of things in the basement first. However, take the Floppy diskette, which is on the desk to the left of the computer. The desk drawers are locked. Take Phil's keys from inventory again and click on the desk drawers

Adrian opens the drawers and finds a large amount of weapons. Adrian automatically takes a gun, a box of 9mm bullets and a necklace from the drawer. Also take an empty plastic bottle from the trolley that is on the wall behind the desk. Take the Stag's head, which is at the back near the stairs. 

There are letters and a white arrow on the wall to the basement.

 Look at those letters.....they are the letters RGUE.....it is a word but the rest of the word cannot be read. 

Go back to the Cellar. Phil is still unconscious on the floor. Zoom in on the desk again. There is a Bunsen burner on the desk. In inventory, combine the File with the Stag Head Antlers to grind the antlers into powder. You then have "ammonia" powder. Combine the Ammonia Powder with the glass flask bottle to put the powder in that bottle. Then take the flask bottle from inventory and click it on the Bunsen burner to place the bottle on the Bunsen burner. The gas lever is located at the bottom of the burner. Click on the gas lever to open it. Then quickly take the Lighter from inventory and click it on the Bunsen burner to light it... 

You will automatically move out of the close-up and Adrian will then automatically fill  bottlethe heated  Staghorn powder. Take the now filled Staghorn powder bottle from inventory and click with it on the drawer where Ralph is lying.  Ralph comes to but is completely panicking and screams for his Bubby doll. So quickly grab the Mr. Bubby doll from inventory and click on Ralph. 

Ralph calms down and runs like lightning out of this hellish house. Also leave the cellar via the cellar door. Back at the top of the hall, take Phil's keys from inventory again and click with the keys on the cellar door to lock Phil in the cellar.Adrian walks back to lock the cellar door and then comes back. You hear Phil cursing and cursing. Now Adrian wants to leave the house, so click on the front door with the Exit cursor

Adrian is then outside again, in front of the house. Look again at the GORE word, which is on the facade above the front door...

Adrian now sees that GORE is not the whole word...there are also 2 letters missing here. The large waste container is on the left of the house. Look at that waste container with your eye again. Adrian then walks to the container and reports again that the thing is locked. So take Phil's set of keys from inventory again and click with it on the waste container to open the thing and Adrian takes a cardboard tube and a cast iron letter M from the container. Adrian now also wants to empty the gun, so take the gun from inventory and put the thing in the container and he automatically puts the gun in the container, which he then closes and locks.

Enter the house again, so click on the front door with the Exit cursor. On the wall to the cellar door are the letters RGUE and above the front door the letters GORE. Adrian has found the letter M in the container. If you have now looked at both the RGUE letters and the GORE letters with the eye cursor and you have taken the M letter from the waste container, you can now, with all those letters, come up with the password for the computer... that password so it is MORGUE. Click on the computer with the gear cursor and......

.... you will end up at the login screen. Below the monitor you will see the keyboard. 

Click on the letters M, O, R, G, U, E on that keyboard to enter the password MORGUE in the red screen. 

The password will of course appear as a series of asterisks in the red screen. Then click the ENTER key and........

You go out of the close-up and Adrian then opens the UNLOCK.EXE file and "runs" it to open the secret box at the bottom of the display case.

Adrian then hears a sound and that sound came from the display case. 

Now click with the gear cursor again on the Secret compartment, at the bottom of the large display cabinet

Now Adrian opens that secret compartment and takes out a money list. Adrian reads the list. Click away the list when Adrian has read it and he then takes a Videocassette from the compartment. It is a video of Ralph from 1990. Immediately take the Videocassette from inventory and click it on the TV to watch the video immediately.....

the video is a recording of Ralph's torture and Adrian does not want it watch it for a long time and don't want to keep the cassette either. If you wish, you can click the Floppy diskette that you previously picked up here onto the computer and then play a game of Space Attack. However, this is completely unnecessary and is intended as a joke  It goes all by itself and you always lose it.  Open the map and now travel back to the Gordon Palace Hotel and enter.

Gordon Palace Hotel:

Adrian then has a rather heated "conversation" with Murray. Adrian is furious, but the conversation goes differently than Adrian expected. Murray turns out to have photos of Adrian emerging from the burning castle. Murray tries to blackmail Adrian with these photos. Adrian then gets really mad and tries to grab Murray by the throat. However, Murray sprays Adrain's face with pepper spray and then runs away. Adrian sees nothing for a moment and sits against the counter, whining. 

When  Adrian has regained his composure, move him to the left and then back into Murray's office. 

Adrain suspects that Murray has stashed the photos somewhere in his office.

Between the wall pillars is a large steel cabinet. View the steel case. The cupboard serves as a safe and Adrian suspects that Murray has stored the photos in this cupboard. Click with your gear cursor on the steel cabinet. The cabinet is locked with a combination lock and it is also firmly screwed on the floor. Adrian needs the code to open the cabinet. The desk has a drawer.

 Click with the gear cursor on the drawer of the desk Adrian opens the drawer and takes out a Manuel from the steel cabinet.

The manual contains instructions on what to do if you have forgotten the code for the lock of the cabinet. If the owner of the cabinet no longer remembers the code, he/she can call a specific telephone number. That telephone number is not given but consists of: the number 01437, the serial number of the cabinet that is on the back of the cabinet and the last 2 digits of the year of birth of the owner of the cabinet.

All these numbers together form the telephone number and when you call that number you will hear the code for the cabinet. Click the manual away. So Adrian needs Murray's date of birth and the serial number of the case. To the left of the desk is a window niche and a Diploma / certificate hangs in the window niche. Look at the diploma and Adrian then knows that Murray was born in 1942.

Now you need the serial number of the steel cabinet. The serial number is be on the back of the cabinet. However, the cabinet is against the wall and Adrian said that it is also nailed to the floor. The steel cabinet cannot  be slid off the wall. But on the other side of the wall is Adrian's room, so what if Adrian could reach the back of the cabinet from his room? But then Adrian must know exactly where the cupboard is. So it has to be measured. Take the Ruler from inventory and then click with the ruler on the wall, between the 2 pillars to the right of the steel cabinet and.....

....... Adrian measures the right bookcase niche and then knows that the steel cupboard is 3.5 meters from the corner.Leave the office and go to the hallway where Adrian's room is, Adrian's room is room 2 and there is now a toolbox in front of the door of room 3.Click on the toolbox with your hand to take a pair of Pliers from it. 

Then enter Adrian's room. Look again at the wall in front of which the coat rack is located. Adrian then reports that Murray's steel cupboard is on the other side of the wall, but he does not yet know the exact location. So take the ruler out of inventory again and place the ruler on the wall again and....Adrian then measures exactly where the steel cupboard should be located.

Now take the scalpel from inventory and click it on the wall to remove the wallpaper.

A piece of stone wall then becomes visible.

Take the cast iron M from inventory and click it on the piece of stone wall to scrape the cement from the joints and remove a few stones.

There is a hole in the wall and through the hole you can see the back of the steel cabinet.

Click with your eye cursor in the hole and Adrian will then read the serial number of the case, which is: 8528-173. Go back to the office. So Adrian now knows Murray's serial number and year of birth and, thanks to the information from the manual, he now also knows the telephone number to call. There is a green telephone on the desk. Click on the phone with your gear cursor and......Adrian automatically calls the number and then hears the code for the steel case, which is: 4 right, 8 left, 15, right, 16 left, 23 right and 42 left. Don't panic... you don't have to mess around with a complicated combination lock yourself. Click on the steel cabinet again and..... 

Adrian automatically uses the combination code you just obtained to open the cabinet. 

Adrian finds an envelope with photos and newspaper clippings of various people.

1 of the photos is an evidence photo and shows how Angelina sets the lighthouse on fire with a jerry can of gasoline.That photo of Angelina is proof of Adrian's innocence and he wants to show this photo to Lady Victoria.So open the map and then travel back to:

Black Mirror Castle:

just in front of the castle the ghost of the White Lady appears.

The white Lady wears Angelina's bracelet on her wrist and she has a bloodstain on her shoulder.

The Lady then floats towards the castle and she beckons Adrian to follow her. It then starts to rain.

Continue to the castle. The small entrance gate is open. Step through the small gate to the castle and then click on the front door. 

Adrian then stands at the front door. Click on the front door again and...

Adrian does not go inside because construction workers are working in the hall. Adrian must find a way to get into the castle unnoticed, because he doesn't want nurse Antolini to notice that he is in the castle. Go back one screen to the right via the right edge of the screen (To the frontage). You will then see the entire facade of the castle. There is construction scaffolding against the facade on the right corner.

Click with your exit cursor on the right side wall (Castle garden) to end up in the rear garden of the castle. You see the entire rear facade of the castle and the back door is in the middle. Watch everything you can watch. There are 2 lampposts at the back door. There is a pile of rubbish in front of the right lamppost. Look at the pile of rubbish and....

.Adrian reports that there are fireworks remains in the waste and he now gets the idea to lure the construction workers out of the hall by lighting fireworks. Unfortunately, the fireworks remains here are unusable. Enter through the back door. Adrian ends up in the completely destroyed kitchen. Adrian has to be careful because he doesn't want to be discovered.

To the right of the back door is a wheelbarrow and behind the wheelbarrow you see the stove. There is a white Pot on the stove. Look at the wheelbarrow and examine the white Pot. Adrian has no need for the wheelbarrow and he doesn't know yet why he should take the Pot. But remember that the white pot is on the stove here. More to the right you see the completely burned kitchen cupboard  and on the ledge of that kitchen cupboard is a candlestick with a candle stub in it. Take the Candle.

If you click with the Exit Cursor on the right edge of the screen (To the Hall), Adrian will peek into the large hall and you will see those construction workers who are doing their work. Adrian quickly retreats back to the kitchen. Those construction workers have to be lured out of the hall, so that Adrian can then go through the hall to Lady Victoria's room unnoticed. So Adrian has got the idea to light fireworks, but he first has to make those fireworks himself with items from inventory.

Leave the kitchen through the back door (Door to the garden) and go back to the front door. There are also 2 lampposts with lamps at the front door. Both lamps are on. Look at the lamp bulb of the right lamppost with your eye. So you should not look at the lamp post, but the lamp bulb on top of the lamp post. Adrian reports that there is a hole in the glass lamp bulb. Now take the Firework tube from inventory and click with it on the right lamp bulb and......

Adrian puts the fireworks in the lamp and lights the fireworks automatically. Adrian reports that it will take about 2 minutes before the fireworks will explode. So you have to act quickly now. So quickly run back to the back door and enter the kitchen again and click in the kitchen again with the Exit cursor on the right edge of the screen and .... Adrian peeks from the kitchen back into the large hall and the fireworks explode in the lamp outside. The two construction workers get up and walk downstairs, but first they chat with each other for a while. But then, finally, the 2 construction workers leave the hall and Adrian sneaks into the hall and further to the hall where Lady Victoria's room is.

To the left is the door to Lady Victoria's room and, above the steps, is a small hallway. Click with your exit cursor on Lady Victoria's room door and........Adrian then hears that nurse Valentina Antolini is in the room with his grandmother and he quickly hides. Valentina Antolini then comes out of the room and disappears and Adrian reappears and enters Victoria's room.

The old lady is dying but Adrian can't be considered, so click on the old Lady with your talk cursor to talk to her. 

The dying Lady does not want to talk to Adrian, but Adrian persists. Use all the conversation options you are given and start with the "Angelina" option. Adrian then shows the Lady the photo of Angelina, which he stole from Murray's steel cupboard. After seeing the photo, Lady Victoria becomes more lenient and almost convinced of Angelina's guilt.

So continue talking and Lady Victoria will continue to tweet happily, despite the fact that she is dying. Use all options and listen to what Lady Victoria now tells Adrian before she breathes her last. About halfway through, the Lady also signs a document in which she officially declares that Darren Michaels is in reality Adrian Gordon. Valentina enters the room and Lady Victoria then dies and we end up in:
