Chapter 9: Pinwheel Village part 1

Find the 8 red Ribbons:

Chapter 8 has landed you in Pinwheel Village and you are now outside. In your back is the house you just got out of and I call this the Starting House. 8 red Ribbons have to be found and you have to click them all to your Case. All those 8 Ribbons are outside here, so you don't have to enter any house or building to find those 8 red ribbons. When you have found the 8 red ribbons you can return to your Case to take the last 4 photos behind the Pinwheel Village Memory Core Door and then do the last part in the Lighthouse.

But .... also here in Pinwheel Village there are a number of Film Projectors that you can repair by solving the puzzles for them. You don't have to do those film projectors but I will try and that's why I have chop this Pinwheel Village part in 2 parts. I will now first guide you through the village to let you find all 8 red Ribbons and in Chapter 10 I will go into the various houses and buildings to try and fix the film projectors.  In this part I will not enter a single house / building because all red Ribbons can be found outside ..... So I walk a certain round through the village ...... you don't have to follow me because you can of course start your own round by the village.....

So you are outside and in front of the starting house ...... It is night, so it is dark but luckily your lamp / artefact gives some light and street lamps are also burning in the village. If you find it difficult to always have your lamp in sight, you can store the lamp by pressing your F key. You look at the warehouse of the "Pinwheel Export" port company. You can walk to the left, forward to the harbour, or to the right further into the village .... I now turn right, further into the village to find the 8 red ribbons and click them away to the Case.

So turn right and walk on. On the left is a large white house, which we will enter later. Follow the street further to the stone stairs and .... To the left of the stone stairs you will see the 1st red Ribbon in the dead-end corner. The house on the right is the home of the local doctor .... the Doctor's House.

Well .... go click the red Ribbon 1 to your Case and ......

Phyllis starts nagging at you and she will always do that every time you click a red ribbon away at your Case ......

Now listen carefully to what Phyllis is saying to you ...... lots will be clear to you about who you are and why you are here ......

Return and walk further up the stone stairs ....... The village is built against the flanks of a few hills so you climb higher and higher up the hill. The stone staircase brings you to a "square" and to the right is a wooden cart in the street ... so I call this the Cart Square. Look at the left corner house. You can not enter that house, but to the left of the house is a staircase and a path to the river ... However, there is also a passage to a Gate ...... Walk to that gate and see ..... it's a gate to Pinwheel Harbour

Step through the Pinwheel Harbour port and ..... you end up in the park and this is familiar terrain for you because you were here once ....

The park is therefore centrally located between Pinwheel Village, Pinwheel Harbour and Pinwheel Industrial.

There is no reason to be here right now, except to show you the geographic situation, so turn around and step back through the gate and you're back in Pinwheel Village. Walk back to the Wooden Cart ...... there is a "Reminder" note on the cart ... read the "Reminder".

You can now continue to follow the street ..... to the cinema and the central market square, but I don't do this. Standing in front of the wooden cart you turn around and then you walk into the alley between the 2 houses and walk to the back. The river flows behind the houses ..... Turn right and .... at the top of the stone stairs you will see red Ribbon 2.

Climb the stone stairs and click Ribbon 2 way to your Case ....

Climb the next stone stairs and .... you will end up on a bridge over the river .... Walk through and ....

intersection ... lamppost ..... The bridge on the right brings you back to the village.

On the left, however, is the gate to the Industrial Centre .... for fun .... Step through that gate and ..

You are back in the Industrial Centre and in the corner where Mill Management is .....

We have completely solved this part of the game, so turn around and go back through the gate to the village.

Continue to the lamppost and then walk up the left bridge and continue over the bridge to the streets of the village Straight ahead you see the central Market Square with the Obelisk.  On the right you see the local cinema and that street leads back to the wooden cart. On the left it goes to the Brink, the Fields cider Factory and the Church.

The Brink is a quiet square where people gather. Of course all streets are connected so you don't have to follow my route through the village.

I am not going to the market square yet, but now I take a left and follow the street to the Brink.

The Brink is a nice quiet square and there is a beautiful old tree on the Brink. You will find ribbon 3 in the garden of the house on the left.

Walk a little further, then turn left and enter the garden of the house

In the garden you immediately turn to the right .... Continue to the tree and ..... You will see Ribbon 3 under the shed

Well ..... Go click Ribbon 3 to your Case and then walk back and out of the garden and walk on to the Brink .... You can continue to the left and right next to the Brink .... Right brings you to the central market square and left goes to the Appelcider Factory and then to the Church .... I will now do that first ... Follow the left street further up the hill and ..... You will arrive at the Fields Cider factory , where the world famous Pinwheel Apple Cider is brewed. A fence is leaning against the wall on the right, and a letter is hanging on that fence.

Read the letter hanging on the fence ... the letter contains instructions about a shower ....

Walk, to the left of the Fields Cider board, to the Cider factory ....

Behind the large round bowl, where apples float, you will find Ribbon 4, in the corner near the entrance of the shed.

So let Ribbon 4 disappear to your Case and walk back to the street, turn left and then walk further to the church .....

... the street ends but through the opened gate you can walk to the Church Yard, because you are now at the big Church..... So walk onto the church yard.

In front of the church you can go to the right, a street that goes back to the Brink ... But don't do this yet ....

Walk straight past the church and you will see Ribbon 5, all the way at the back of the church square ..., .

So walk on to Ribbon 5 and click the thing away to your Case ....

You have a nice view of the Lighthouse Island from here, where you will end up in Chapter 11 to play the end of the game.

Walk back to the church and then enter the left street.

This street takes you past the houses back to the Brink ..... on a market stall is a flute, which you can grab and store in your case.

Walk on and .... There are flags hanging ..... would it have been Flag Day or would it be tomorrow? New herring?......

You arrive at a crossroads behind the Brink .... On the right is the green and on the left it goes down to the central Market Square.

Go down to the Market Square

The market square consists of 2 parts .... There is the Central Square where the Obelisk is on and there is the left part where you have now arrived. The Obelisk is a war memorial ....... Do not go to the Obelisk yet but turn left ...... In the distance you see a crane and on the front market stall on the left is a letter .... .Read the Letter ...

Continue to the wall where the crane is protruding from the top, and then go into the alley between the houses and continue to the notice board hanging on the wall. Then turn right and ....

Continue to the gate .... There is a Newspaper on the barrels ..... Read the newspaper ....

alk through the gate and .... you are on a viewing balcony and here you will find red Ribbon 6 ........

Click the ribbon away to your Case and return to the Market, via the alleyway.

. Now continue to the Obelisk and then go left, the alley between the houses, to red ribbon 7

Make the red Ribbon 7 disappear to your Case and return to the Obelisk

Back at the Obelisk you walk further behind the Obelisk and you leave the market square under the flags ....

You are back at the bridge that you came from earlier and then left. Now also turn left following the street, past the Pinwheel cinema and back to the Wooden Cart square

Back on the Wooden Carts square you go back down the stone stairs and follow the path back to the Starting house

Back at the Starting house you go straight on, through the tunnel.

The tunnel takes you to the path above the harbour. You can go back up the stairs here, or right down to the harbour and the Pinwheel Export company ....

However, continue walking and then descend down the stairs at the end and then turn around below

You will see red Ribbon 8 on the harbour pier, so go there and ..... click the ribbon to your Case.

All right .... you have found all 8 red ribbons and clicked away to your Case. Through everything Phyllis has told you, every time you have clicked a red ribbon away to your Case, you now know that you are THOMAS, Jean's husband ...... you wouldn't have thought that. Yyou can now immediately return to your Case and then open the Pinwheel Village Core Memory Door, take the 4 photos and then do the ENDGAME. You can now do this but I will not do this. I still want to try to fix the last 5 Film Projectors here in the village. And the 1st Film Projector is immediately on the pierhere.
