Huber Farm: 

Inside: 

You're playing as Gabriël Knight : 

 It is the next day and our pretty boy Gabe has woken up. First open the Inventory and then look at every item that Gabe now has in inventory. So click on an item in inventory and that item will then appear in the small screen. Click with the magnifying glass on that item to view it in close-up. 

To the right of the door is a cupboard and above that cupboard a Jesus cross hangs on the wall. Click with your dagger cursor on the Cross of Jesus to have it watched by Gabe. Then click on the cross again in the close-up. Gabe supposes that the Huberts are Catholic. At the display cabinet stand the bag of Gabe. Click with your dagger on Gabe's bag and ..... Gabe walks to the bag and unzips the bag ... 

You are in the close-up of the unzipped bag ... Click with your dagger on the stuff in the bag and ..... 

Gabe automatically picks up all the items he thinks he needs ..... 

Gabe is standing upright again, at the "bed". Open the inventory and view all new items in close-up. 

From his bag Gabe have taken  his Schattenjäger Medallion, his Schattenjäger Sword, his Wallet and his Notebook.

Gabe also took 2 letters from his bag, see the 2 letters in close-up, so select the 2 envelopes and then click , in the close-up, with the crooked arrow on the envelope to get the letter out of it.

One letter is from the law firm that has been representing the interests of the Ritter family for generations and the other letter is from Grace. 

If you click on Grace's letter you hear Grace read the letter aloud. 

Grace's letter consists of two sheets, so also read the second page of  Grace's letter. Grace reports that Gabe's "Voodoo Murders" book is a bestseller and also that this is good news for Gabe's bank account.

If you have looked at all items in inventory and you have heard Gabe's comment on it, you walk down a screen, Gabe is in the back of the room, at the back door. 

On the coat rack hangs Gabe's coat. The coat rack stands for a cupboard and a letter from Hubert is stuck to that cupboard. On the table is stationery and a newspaper. A mirror hangs above the table. Click on the newspaper and ..... Gabe picks up the newspaper and tries to read the article about the "Killerwölfe". It is obviously a German newspaper and Gabe does not master the German language. 

The article is about wolves that have escaped from a zoo. Click on the picture of the 2 wolves or the commissioner and Gabe will tell you where the zoo is and also the name of the policeman who investigated this wolf case. The name of the policeman is Leber. Leber is stationed at the Prinzregentenplatz police station in Munich and the zoo is in the town of Thalkirchen. 

Exit the screen and Gabe are putting the newspaper back on the table. Now click on the stationery and ............

Gabe sits down to write a letter to Grace, to tell Gracie that he is on a new "Schattenjäger" case

Gabe puts the letter in an envelope and sticks it. Gabe has to post the letter, but that will come later. 

When Gabe is done with the letter to Grace, he is back at the coat rack. Now click on the note stuck on the cupboard. 

Frau Huber reports that the car key of their car is hanging under the mirror and she also report that Gabe better not to drive to Munich with the car. 

If Gabe wants to go to Munich then he better go by car to the village of Locham and then travel to Munich with the U-Bahn. 

Close the screen. The car key of the Huberts car is hanging under the mirror. Click on that car key and Gabe takes the key 

Ok ... Gabe is here to investigate what happened to the Hubert's daughter, so click EXIT on the back door and ............ . 

Gabe shows us that he is a big boy because he puts on his coat himself and then goes outside ....... 

The Hubert's car is here in the yard. On the left is the barn. Walk, through the exit on the grass, a screen to the right. You will see the forest edge and a .... water trough. 

Click with your dagger on the water trough to take Gabe to it. Front left of the water trough is a mud spot. 

Click on the mud spot to investigate that spot ..... Gabe finds a paw print in the mud. 

Click on the paw print and ....... well .... the print is as big as Gabe's hand. Exit from the close-up. 

Behind the water trough you get EXIT between the trees. Click that EXIT and ..... 

Gabe walks around the water trough and stands at the edge of the forest. 

Click with the dagger cursor on the high scrub, which grows in front of the trees and ....... Gabe bends the scrubs and finds a tuft of bloody hair. 

Click on the tuft of hair and Gabe picks it up and puts it in his coat pocket. Open the inventory and you will see that Gabe has put the tuft of hair in an envelope. Take a closer look at this envelope in the close-up screen and click on it .... Gabe reports that he wants the hair to be analyzed by an expert. Exit from all the close-up screens and then walk back a screen to the right and then a screen down and Gabe is back at the car. On the left you see the barn of the farm. Enter the barn. 

Gabe is standing in the shed at the sink. On the shelf, above the sink, is a bag of cement and a sink bucket. To the right of the sink is a small yellow Bucket. 

Click with your dagger on the bag Cement and ........ Gabe put a handful of the cement in the sink bucket and makes plaster of it with some water from the tap. 

Your cursor is now the bucket. Exit from this screen and walk right back to the paw print at the water trough. Click with the Bucket on the mud spot and .........

....... when you are back in the close-up of the paw print you click with the bucket on the paw print and ..... Gabe pours the wet cement over the paw print. 

The cement needs some time to harden, so Gabe goes back to the shed where he pours the remainder of the cement into the yellow bucket and then he cleans out the zinc bucket clean and puts it back on the shelf. When Gabe is done with this, you can exit from this close-up and then you walk back to the Water Trough. Go back to the mud spot close-up and pick up the cement impression of the paw print. View the cement impression in inventory

Okay .... walk back to the car. Gabe is ready here, so grab the car keys from inventory and click them on the car and ........ 

Gabe gets in the car and drives to Locham where he parks the car to continue the journey with the U-Bahn. You get the U-Bahn map of Munich and surroundings in your screen. 

Via the U-Bahn map you can now travel to various locations. The locations you can go to are yellow on the map. At the moment there are 3 new locations where Gabe can go to and they are the "Marienplatz", "Prinzregentenplatz" and "Thalkirchen". The red "Locham" location is where Gabe drove to by car. From the newspaper Gabe knows that the zoo, from which the wolves have escaped, is in Thalkirchen and that this Commissioner Leber is stationed at the police station on the Prinzregentenplatz. . Click on the "Prinzregentenplatz" to go there now and ....... Gabe ends up in the police station of that commisar Leber but unfortunately .....

communication between Gabe and the desk sergeant does not go well . 

Gabe finally succeeds in making it clear to the sergeant that he wants to talk to Leber but unfortunately Leber is not present. 

Gabe gets on the U-Bahn again. Now travel to "Thalkirchen", where the zoo is where the wolves have escaped, and...movie

 a zoo attendant will feed the wolves and you will see a wolf. 

The attendant  then runs away again and then Gabe is standing at the fence of the wolf area. 

On  the fence is a white sign on which you can read witch wolfs are behind the fence. Look at the white sign and click in the close-up again, so Gabe knows that it is the European wolf "Canis Lupis Lupis" that are behind the fence. Close the close-up screen and click with your sword cursor on the muddy sand, just in front of the trees and ...... Gabe sees 2 wolves standing between the trees. 

Click on 1 of the 2 wolves with your sword ........ Gabe tries to lure one of the wolves to him..... but the wolves do not feel like it.

Click Exit to get away from the gate and ......... Thomas, the wolf caretaker, turns up again with his feeding cart. Click on Thomas to talk to him.

 Fortunately, Thomas understands and speaks English and he is also prepared to answer Gabe's questions. At the bottom of the game screen you will see the dialogue options that you can talk to Thomas about. So ask Thomas everything you can ... do not skip any question / option. 

Thomas has a Walkie Talkie and Gabe is very interested in that. Thomas mention the name of Doktor Klingmann. That Klingmann appears to be the director of the Zoo. Ask Thomas especially about the escaped Wolves (Missing Wolves) and also use any follow-up questions on this subject. Thomas gives a description of the two escaped wolves, Hilda and Parcival. 

If you have asked Thomas everything, the conversation will end automatically. Then find the EXIT at the left edge of the screen and click that exit and ..... movie

Gabe enters the office and has a meeting with Herr Doktor Klingmann, the big boss of this Zoo.

Talk with Klingmann and use all options ..... do not skip any option. Gabe also records this conversation with his tape recorder. 

Again, this conversation ends automatically when you have asked Klingmann everything. 

When the conversation is over, you click the EXIT on the office door and ..... Gabe is outside again at the fence of the wolf enclosure. Gabe does not trust Herr Doktor Klingmann and he wants to search his office in peace. But to be able to do that then Klingmann has to leave his office. Gabe needs to lure Klingmann out of his office and for that reason Gabe recorded the conversation with Klingmann with his cassette recorder. Click the EXIT, in the middle of the screen and ...... the Metro map appears again. Click on the LOCHAM location and ..... in no time Gabe has traveled back, via the metro and the car, to the: 

Hubert Farm: 

Gabe is standing next to the car in the yard of the Hubert Farm. You do not have to go inside. 

Splice the Klingmann Tape: 

Click, on the lower right, on the cassette tape icon and ... The screen with all the cassette tapes will open. 

The top 2 cassette tapes contain the recorded conversations with Thomas and Klingmann. To the right of the cassettes you see "Load A", "Play A", "Load B" and "Splice". Click on the "Klingmann" tape to select it and then click on "Load A" to load the "Klingmann" tape into A. The "Klingmann" tape is then gray. Then select an empty tape and click on "Load B" to load the selected empty tape in "B". The empty tape is gray. 

Now click on "Splice" and .....

. ......a screen with the recorded voice from Klingmann will appear. You always see a few sentences. You scroll through the 2 green arrows to the following sentences. Gabe must now make a new sentence with the recorded voice of Klingmann. To do this, you now have to cut certain words from Klingmann out of the original sentences and then stick them together again to create three new sentences. Those words are: "THOMAS", "HERR", "DOKTOR", "KLINGMANN", "HERE", "SHOW", "WOLVES", "TO", MR "," KNIGHT "

Ok .... scroll through the sentences, with the green arrows, until you see the 3 phrases where THOMAS is in. Then click on the word THOMAS .....THOMAS will then appear in the "Splice" screen, then find a sentence with "HERR" in it and then click on "HERR" and also this word appears in the "Splice" screen. Continue until you have all 10 words of the new sentence in the "Splice" screen, but you should do this in the correct order. Then click on the "TRANSFER" button and ....... the new sentence is recorded on the blank tape in "B." 

This cassette tape is stored in the inventory. Click the "Exit" button to close the Cassette screen. 

Click again with the car keys on the car and Gabe will drive back to Locham and the U-Bahn map will reappear, so click again on the "Thalkirchen" location and Gabe will return to the zoo, at the gate of the wolf enclosure. Go again a screen to the left to enter Klingmann's office again. Klingmann is now in the other room of the office. 

Click on the desk and ... Gabe searches the desk quickly but finds nothing. 

On the right corner of the desk is a Walkie-talkie. Click on the Walkie-talkie and Gabe recognizes the thing and remembers that Thomas also has a Walkie-talkie. 

Open the inventory and take out the cassette tape. 

Close the inventory and then click with the cassette tape on the Walkie Talkie and ............. 

Via the Walkie Talkie, Gabe plays the "Spliced" tape and Thomas receives the message and he thinks that Klingmann now orders that Gabe is to be admitted to the wolves.

At the bookcase Klingmann's coat hangs on the coat rack. Click on the jacket and ...... Gabe swipes a note out the pocket of the jacket. 

Klingmann then emerges from the other room, so Gabe quickly gets out of his feet. Babysitter Thomas then takes Gabe to the wolves. 

Thomas lures 1 of the wolves to you and you end up in the wolf close-up. 

The wolf bears a name tag ..... Click on the name plate and then, after Thomas's comments, click on the wolf's fur, above the nameplate and ...... 

Gabe will stroke the wolf and tear a tuft wolf hair from the wolf's fur. Thomas is not happy with this, also the wolves are angry. 

Thomas and Gabe flee quickly. Thomas lets Gabe know what he thinks of Gabe's behavior and then disappears. 

Gabe has put the tuft of wolf hair in an envelope. Gabe is done in the Zoo and it will not be necessary to ever come back here. 

Click the EXIT, below the screen, and then travel back to "Locham" via the subway to return to the: 

Huber Farm: 

Go inside the farm house. Gabe automatically takes off his coat. Open the inventory and click on the note that you have stolen from Klingmann's coat (Klingmann's Receipt). 

This note will then appear in the inventory screen. Click on the magnifying glass to read the note. The note appears to be a hunting license, in the name of Klingmann.

 Click with the black curve arrow on the note to turn it over and ...... On the back is also something written but it is mirrored so Gabe can not read it. 

Close this screen and open the inventory and click again on the Klingmann note (Klingmann's Receipt). The hunting permit is then your cursor. 

Now click with the hunting license on the Mirror, which hangs on the right of the door above the table, and ...... 

in the mirror Gabe tries to read what is written on the back of the hunting license. However, it is in German, so Gabe does not understand much of it.

 However, it is the address and name of the yacht club that Herr Doktor Klingmann is a member of.

Exit back outside and click again with the car keys on the car and ..... 

Gabe will drive to Locham again and the subway map will reappear. Travel to the Munich Marienplatz now: 

Munich: Marienenplatz: 

Gabe has arrived in the heart of Munich at the Marienplatz. You can not talk to the people that are passing by, and that  also goes for the street musicians. 

Gabe is on the far left. Walk straight to the left and ..... Gabe ends up at a butcher's shop. 

To the left of the butcher's shop you see the entrance hall of an office complex. The butcher's wife is behind the counter in the butcher's shop. Click with your sword on the butcher's wife. Gabe enters the store. Click again on the butcher's wife and ..... Unfortunately the butcher's wife does not speak English but she tries to sell Gabe a sausage. However, Gabe does not need a sausage right now. Do not click on the butcher's wife again and do not use the items from the inventory on the butcher's wife. Exit from this screen and then click with your sword in the entrance hall, left of the butcher's shop. In the hall Gabe stands for an opened door. 

On the black boards are the names of the firms that have their offices in the building. 

Click with your sword on the top half of the left black board and ....... Gabe reads that the lawyer of his family is housed in this building and he ends up at his lawyer Harry 

Talk with Harry and use it again all the options that you get ..... Do not skip any question or conversation option. 

When this conversation finally comes to an end, Gabe knows the address of the University that has a department of animal biology and the name of the "Royal Bavarian Hunting Lodge", the yacht club that Herr Doktor Klingmann is a member of . Gabe knows now also that the note that he snatched from Klingmann's coat is a Hunting Permit. 

When Gabe is done with the sympathetic lawyer Harry, you click the EXIT in the doorway and Gabe says goodbye and lands outside at the butcher's shop. Go down a screen. Gabe is at the U-Bahn entrance again. Click the EXIT that you get on the left end of the concrete wall to dive into the subway and then click, on the metro map, at the "Universitat" stop and ..... 

University

Gabe meets Micheal, in the biology lab of the University. Open the inventory. Gabe has 2 envelopes with the hair samples of the wolves. Gabe found one piece of hair at the Huber farm, and the second tuft of hair was snatched from the wolf's fur in the zoo. Gabe also has the paw print with him, which he also found at the Huber Farm, in the plaster cast. 

Give Micheal, 1 to 1, both envelopes with the hair clips and the paw print. 

Micheal investigates the 3 items and tells Gabe his findings. When Micheal is finished, click the EXIT, on the door behind Gabe,  and ....... Micheal then gives Gabe the report about his findings. You will never return here. You will then get the U-Bahn card back in your screen. Travel back to the: 

Marienplatz: 

Behind the U-Bahn entrance you can see the shop windows. The right-hand shop window is that of a souvenir shop and you get an EXIT on it. Click that Exit and ..... Gabe will continue to the right and your screen will scroll with Gabe and .... Gabe will automatically arrive at the other side of the U-Bahn entrance where a street musician is playing his tune on his guitar. Here is also a fountain. 

Left next to the fountain you get the EXIT to go left around the corner. Click that left EXIT and Gabe ended up in the "Dienerstrase"

On the other side of the street you see a gray building, where a bicycle stands. Click with your sword in the entrance of that gray building and ....... Gabe crosses the street and stands in front of the entrance of the post office. Grab the Envelope with the letter to Grace from inventory and click on the post office doors and .... 

Gabe goes in to post his letter. Gabe comes out again and then stands on the pavement in front of the post office. 

Now click the EXIT, which you get in the back of the street and ..... Gabe continues through the street and then again on the left sidewalk. On the other side you can now see a white building with an orange double door. Click with your sword on that orange double door and ..... 

Gabe crosses again and stands in front of the entrance of number 54.

Hunting Club: 

Click "EXIT" on the doors and .... Gabe goes inside and lands in the Hunting club

Gabe  is welcomed by the receptionist Xavier, but not too friendly. Talk to Xavier and do not skip a topic again. Gabe wants to be admitted to the hunting club but  he has to prove to Xavier that he is really a member of the famous Ritter family. When the conversation is over, you just stop and Xavier then throws Gabe out of the club. 

Gabe must now return to lawyer Harry to get proof that he is really a Ritter. So go down 2 screens and Gabe will be back on the Marienplatz, at the fountain of the musician. Walk screens to the left until Gabe has returned to the butcher's shop. Then plunge into the hall again, to the left of the butcher's shop, and click in the hall again in the doorway and Gabe will return to the sympathetic Harry. 

Click Harry and ask him about the "Ritter Family Papers" and ...... Harry's secretary hands Gabe a copy of his family tree. 

Say goodbye again and go back to the Hunting Club and enter again. Use the talk option and quickly grab the Ritter Pedigree map from inventory and click it on Xavier and ...... 

The END MOVIE of this 1st chapter starts now.  in which we now meet the big villain of the game, Baron Von Glower ........ 

Snob Xavier is very impressed with the fact that Gabe is a Ritter and he is suddenly very polite but .... well ... rules are rules .... Gabe is still not allowed inside.

 But then Baron von Glower turns up and .........

...... the Baron takes Gabe, as his guest, into the club where Gabe meets the rest of the clan ...... ....

Von Glover introduces Gabe to the gentlemen. Gabe drinks a beer with the gentlemen ...... 

But the fact that the Baron seems to like Gabe a lot causes some feelings of jealousies in one of those present. However, it is late, so the party is already at an end. Gabe will come back here tomorrow to be registered as a member of the club. Gabe gets Von Glower's card and we end up, ....
