As Grace Nakimura:

A: Castle Ritter:

It is still night and Grace lies restlessly  in Gabe's bed ..........

Grace has a nightmare in witch she runs through the snowy forests of Bavaria, haunted by a pack of hungry wolves ....

The wolves come closer and closer and Gracie gets exhausted ...... it is only a matter of a few seconds whether Grace will be wolves .......

But then Grace hears the sound of twinkling bells and ..... in the distance a carriage comes, pulled by 4 horses ......

With her last strength, Grace runs to the carriage and ...... well ..... the handsome young man is hungry for such a delicious Japanese girl ...

This handsome young man is ....... King Ludwig II van Bavaria, ..... Unfortunately for Grace, this handsome young man turns out to be anything but her salvation ...

and then Gracie wakes up and turns out to be the full moon and a bad dream to have been .....

It's early in the  morning of Day 4 and Grace stand fresh and cheerful, and fully dressed, in the bedroom in front of the bed. Walk down a screen and then enter the library again. Click in the library again in the left part of the enormous bookcase and ....... Grace now finds an English book about Ludwig II and she is taking this book out of the bookcase

Read this "Ludwig II Fairy Tale King of Bavaria" book in Inventory. The book is written by Sir Richard Chaphill. Browse through the book and click on all pages so Grace reads the text out loud. Do not skip any pages because the Game requires Grace and Gabe to actually read all the pages in the books.

When you have read the book you leave the library and the bedroom to go downstairs. Gerde is not present in the hall and there is no point looking for her because Gerde is not in the castle. Leave the castle and walk through the forest path to the village:

B: Rittersberg Village:

Walk to the right of the fountain and click on the door of the post office, left of the Gasthoff. Click  in the counter and then on the bell and .....

the post lady gives Grace the letter that  Gabe wrote at the Huber farm in Chapter 3

Exit from the close-up and read Gabe's letter in the inventory screen .... the letter has two sheets so do not forget to read the second sheet ..........

Grace is "not amused" about what Gabe writes. Exit the letter and enter the Goldener Löwe again:

 Gasthoff Goldener Löwe:

Mabel Smith and her son are sitting at the long table. Click on one both the Smiths to talk to Mabel Smith and use all the conversation options you get.

Listen carefully to Mrs. Smith, who really is not such a disturbed person as you might think. Mabel Smith gives Grace the advice to focus her research on that wacky Ludwig II and Grace takes this advice seriously. Ask for a "Tarrod Reading" and then sit this long scene out.

Also ask if Mabel also wants to do a "Tarrod reading" for Gabe ..... Gabe's Tarrod reading predicts a rather gloomy future for Gabe.

After the 2 tarot card readings Grace has had enough of it, so if you have used all other questions, Grace will say her goodbyes to the Smiths. Then go and talk to Hubert, who is picking this nose again, behind the counter. Ask Hubert again about "Gabriel's case" but this stubborn Hubert still refuses to tell Grace what Gabe is up to and where he is staying now. Leave the pub and go to church.

 Church:

Enter the church again and walk backwards, to the crypt where Wolfgang's stone coffin stands and ... Gerde is her and she's crying at the tomb of Wolfgang Ritter .

Click on Gerde and watch the cut scene ....... Grace now knows that Gerde was in love with Wolfgang

Leave Gerde alone with her grief, so leave the church and go back to the castle:

Castle Ritter:

Go inside and into the bedroom. Open the wardrobe closet in the bedroom and then step through the back wall into the secret corridor.

Go down the secret stairs and Gracie will end up outside again at the rose bush.

Click again on the red roses and ..... Now Grace will pick a few roses from the bush.

Go back up and then back into the bedroom via the left exit. Leave the bedroom and the castle and walk through the forest path again to:

Rittersberg village

Enter the church again and walk on to the Crypt, where Gerde is still crying at Wolfgang's tomb. Grab the red Roses from inventory and click on Gerde and ......

Grace puts the 2 red roses on Wolfgang's grave and she now makes peace with Gerde because Grace now knows that Gerde and Gabe have never been lovers. Gerde now gives the car keys to Gabe's car to Grace, so Grace can now expand her research. Gerde also reports that there is a map of the area in the car.

So back to the castle you go. Back at the castle you grab the car keys, you just got from Gerde, from inventory and you click on Gabe's car and ..... Grace gets in and starts the car and

...... you get the environmental map in  your screen.

On the map you see the places where Grace can drive to now and those places are now the 2 castles of Ludwig, Neuschwanstein, Rittersberg and Herrenchiemsee. First go to:

C: Herrenchiemsee:

Herrenchiemsee is now a museum in honor of King Ludwig II.

Grace has to buy a ticket so take the wallet out of inventory and click on the woman behind the counter and ..... Gracie pays the 8 mark entrance fee for a day ticket.

Now that Grace has bought a ticket she can view everything. Start by reading the texts on the 4 large text boards. So click twice on the text boards to see them in close-up.

The 4 boards depict letters from Ludwig II to his older niece Elizabeth, Empress of Austria, and letters from Elizabeth to Ludwig. Below each letter is the English translation and photos of Ludwig and Elizabeth. Click on the English translation twice to hear Grace reads these texts aloud. Exit at the bottom of the screen to view the photos.

If you have read all the texts on the 4 boards then you exit completely from the close-up of these 4 boards.

On the pillar there is a photo of Elizabeth that you can look at. Then click the EXIT in the arch between the pillars to continue into the hall.

On the wall there are 4 text boards that tell about the last days of Ludwig, before his death. On the right wall hangs a large painting and there is also a display cabinet here. Zoom in on the 4 text boards (Die Letzten Tage) and read all these texts. So these texts are about the last days of Ludwig.

Grace reads that, after the demise of Ludwig, his heart was put in an urn and that this urn can be seen in the Altötting chapel.

Exit from these texts if you have read all 4 English translations, aloud by Grace. Click on the painting and .....

Grace recognizes the scene in the painting as being her dream of last night. You automatically go in the close-up of the painting.

Click twice on the text sign, which hangs on the left of the painting. Grace reads the text aloud again. Exit from the text sign and then click on the painting and ...... Grace hopes that Mabel Smith can explain to her why she dreamed about this horse sleigh and what it means.  Exit from the painting and then click on the hanging display cabinet. The prominent piece in the cabinet is the death mask of Ludwig.

Exit 2 times at the bottom of the screen. Grace is on the left side, behind the desk. Now go a screen to the  left and ........

You will now see the left part of the room, behind the 4 large text panels. On the wall there are again 4 text panels and there are 2 display cabinets. There is also a painting.

Click on everything you can click on and read all the texts and do not forget the showcases and the painting.

Start by zooming in on the display case that now hangs behind Grace. Above this display case is a painting by Richard Wagner, the composer.

Zoom in on the display case and read the yellow text sign that is in the display case.

Grace reads that Ludwig was a big fan and friend of Wagner and his music and this is very important info for the further course of the game. Grace also reads about the diary of Ludwig and she gets the firm conviction that she should read that diary. However, the original diary is kept in the Royal Archives.

On the wall there are 4 plates with texts and photos from the diary.

Exit from this Wagner display case and zoom in on the 4 text plates and read these 4 texts about Ludwig's diary.

Through these 4 texts Grace gets information about a mysterious unfinished opera by Wagner and that Ludwig intended to finish that opera. On the third text, Grace reads something about "The Power of the Lily". In the other display case, under the painting, medals and the like are on display and you can also view the painting above that display case. The most important things you must have done here in this museum, however, is to have read about Ludwig's heart, about Wagner and about Ludwig's diary and Wagners unfinished opera

Exit a few times at the bottom of the screen to return to the desk. Then click again on the desk lady to talk to her now.  Ask the following 2 questions: "Is there any way to see more of Ludwig's diary?" and then "Do you know anything about the new Wagner opera? " In a rather bitchy way the desk lady answers that no one may read the dairy of Ludwig and that Grace should go to the Wagner museum in Bayreuth for more information about Wagner. Exit at the bottom of the screen to leave the museum again. Go back Rittersberg, by clicking on the map on the statue above Rittersberg

D: Rittersberg village

Grace drive back to the castle to park the car. Walk through the forest, left next to the castle, back to Rittersberg and go the Gasthoff van Hubert again.  Mrs.Smith and her son are not in the inn room, so go talk to Huber and ask him where the Smiths are. The Smiths are in their room but Huber is going to get them. Talk to Mabel Smith about Grace's dream so use the "Ludwig Dream" option.  Grace tells Mrs. Smith her dream but she also does not know how to handle it. Mabel give Grace the advice to "make contact with Ludwig."  Grace takes her leave again and when that happens you leave the inn and walk back to the castle,

E: Castle Ritter:

Enter the castle again and ....... ... Gerde reports that Professor Barclay, from America, has called, so go up the stairs to the bedroom and then to the library and take a seat behind the desk. Take the Yale calling card from Barclay out of inventory and click on the phone , to call Professor Barclay

Barclay gives Grace the name Josef Dallmier as being the expert in the field of Ludwig II.

Grace write down the telephone number of Dallmier on a notepad sheet that you have in inventory.

Take  this telephone number of that Dallmier from inventory and click on the telephone again, to call up Josef Dallmier right away.

Dallmier and Grace make an appointment to meet at "The Black Cross", the memorial for Ludwig at Seeshaupt.

Josef knows nothing about a "Black Wolf" but he will consult his archives about it.

Exit from the desk and leave the library and the bedroom and leave the castle. Outside you click again with the car keys on Gabe's car and ......The map appears again.

Two new locations have been added to the map and these are Bayreuth, where the Wagner museum is, and Seeshaupt where The Black Cross is. First go to:

F: Bayreuth: Wagner Museum:

Grace is told by Georg that the museum is actually closed, due to renovations.

However Georg is a very nice young man and he lets Grace in, completely free of charge, to look through the few halls that have already been renovated.

Look around in the Wagner museum. Look at everything you can see and read all the texts that you can read. So click on anything you can click on and do not skip anything.

Grace is in the first room. Via Down you return to Georg. You can go to the next room from each room. In this 1st room stand the piano of Wagner, on which this famous composer composed his complete opera "the Ring Der Nibelungen". Look at  the piano in  close-up and read the text sign. Then enter the right room.

Look at the model of the Wagner theater and the opera costumes in the large display case. Check out the posters above the display cases.

When you have looked at everything again, go right into the small hall, where you also look at  everything again.

Read all the text signs in the display case containing the death mask and 2 letters. You read about a Diagram

Then go to the next room, via the EXIT at the bottom.

Look at the sofa  / canapé and read the text sign. Look at the hanging display cabinet, where the death mask of Wagner is located. Also look at the desk.

On the desk is a diagram of the theater where the last opera by Wagner should have been performed. Do not forget to look at this diagram and click on it

Then go back to the 1st room via the EXIT at the bottom of the screen and then back to Georg, via the EXIT at the bottom of the screen. There is a thick book on Georg's counter.

Click on that book to view it in close-up and click on it again and then ... Georg reports that this book is the Diary of Wagner's wife Kuzuma. Click on Georg to talk to him and then ask the friendly young man everything you can ask. Ask Georg especially about Wagner and the letters from Ludwig to Wagner and from Wagner to Ludwig. However, George does not know anything about Wagner's unfinished last opera.

Leave the museum through the door and then travel to Josef Dallmier via the environment map, so travel to:

G: Seeshaupt: The Black Cross:

Grace arrives at the memorial chapel. You can view the chapel for a moment but you can not go inside. Walk as far as possible to the left ..... the screen scrolls as Grace moves to the left. Keep walking to the left and Grace will reach the end of the path at 2 green benches. Between the two green benches is an iron railing.

Click on the railing or on the benches and ........ Grace sees the big black cross and ..... Jozef Dallmier pops up.

Ask Dallmier all the questions you get ..... do not skip anything because then you will get hopelessly stuck, later on in the game and there's no turning back to Josef

Joseph is the Ludwig expert in Germany. Joseph tells us that in recent years only one person has been able to see Ludwig's diary and that person is Professor Chaphill, who wrote the book about Ludwig II. Josef also tells about a Goddess who was also known as The Black Wolf. This Goddess was a mysterious figure who had penetrated into the court of Bismarck. Bismarck has given that goddess a noble title, but Josef does not know the true name of that Goddess. Grace must have a Special Permit to look up the Noble Name of that Goddess in the Noble Archive.

When Dallmier says goodbye, Grace will be staring at the big cross for a moment. The cross stands in the middle of the lake.

Click twice on the cross and .... you zoom in on the cross and Grace reports that the body of Ludwig was found here in this lake. Exit from the close-up and then click with your sword on the water of the lake, between the 2 upper bars of the handrail and ..... you zoom in on the bank of the lake ... Click on the water to hear Grace make a comment about it.

Exit at the right edge of the screen and then walk back all the way to the right ... the screen scrolls back and if Grace disappears completely to the right of your screen, click the EXIT arrow to return to the map. Now ravel to Ludwig's fairytale castle n so travel to:

H: Neuschwanstein:

Click on the castle and Grace will arrive in the arrival hall.

Entrance Hall:

There is a guard in each room and at bottom left in your screens you always have the "Tour Tape" button. When you click on that "Tour Tape" button you hear the voice of the "guide" who talks about the room you are in. Click on everything you can click on in every room, but NEVER click on the guards. These guards are mobile so they go from room to room. It is absolutely essential that you always use the "Tour Tape" button in every room. So you start in the Entrance hall.

Click the "Tour Tape" Button and listen to the guide's story. When the story is finished, click on the mural to see that scene in close-up.

The "Tour Tape" button appears again, so click on that button again and listen to the story about the wall painting.

The guide reports that the paintings in this arrival hall all relate to Wagner's "Siegfried Saga".

Exit from the close-up. To the left of the large gate you see a smaller closed door. Click on the door and you will see that door in close-up.

Click the "Tour Tape" button and the guide will report that this door leads to the Tower, but the Tower is not accessible to tourists.

You can also view the mural again. Go through the large gate to the next room.

King's Bedroom:

The second room is furnished as the King's bedroom and there is a female guardian. Listen to the tape and look at everything you can take a closer look at. In the close-ups, use the "Tour Tape" again and again. Behind the guard are 2 passages. The murals in this room tell the story of Wagner's opera "Siegfried and Isolde". The right passage takes you into the Chapel and the left passage takes you into the living room. First go to the Chapel.

Chapel:

Listen to the Tape again and look at everything in close-up again and  use the Tape again, especially with the 2 stained-glass windows. Also check out the "Black Madonna of Alltötling"

Exit back to the bedroom and then go through the left passage to the living room.

Living Room:

Use the Tape button and then look at everything you can click on. The murals show scenes from Wagner's "Lönegrin Saga".

Right below is the EXIT to continue...If you do so you will see a white Swan and another large painting.

Use the Tape to hear explanations about the Swan and the painting. Then go left through the doorway to the Grotto:

Grotto:

Use the Tape button to explain the cave and then click on the altar. Then go through the door, in the back of the cave, and Grace lands in Ludwig's Study Room.

Study Room:

Listen to the Tape again and click on anything you can click on and then use the Tape button again and again as it appears at the close-ups.

Then go through the gate, behind the desk, to the Singer's Hall.

Singer's Hall:

Use the Tape button again and then click on everything you can click on and use the Tape button again in the close-ups. In this hall you can view the famous Wolf painting on the back wall. The other murals show scenes that, as far as we know, do not come from Wagner's operas. This Singer's Hall has various EXITS. To see the other side of the hall, use the left or bottom EXIT. You can then look out at the back of the hall to enjoy the view.

So look at the Wolf painting on the short back wall and also the other wall paintings. Click in the close-up on the Wolf in the painting

Exit and view the other mural paintings in this part of the hall and then always click on the Tape Button.

You will see Engelhard and Hildegunde then use the left exit or the bottom exit to see the other side of the room.

Look at the murals again and you can look out through the "windows" .

When you look out the "Windows" you can hear through the Tape that the castle you see in the distance is the castle where Ludwig grew up as a child.

When you have seen all the murals in this Singer's Hall, and used the Tape, then you know that  Engelhard has changed from Human to Wolf and has been shot down when he was a Wolf. If you have viewed everything here, click on the closed door, left in the corner, to leave the castle and then click the EXIT at the bottom of the screen to return to the map. Travel back to:

I: Bayreuth:

Click on Georg and ask him about the "Wolf Panels at Neuschwanstein". Georg then talks about the "Lost Opera from Wagner".

Then ask Georg about this "Lost Opera". Leave Georg and travel back to:

J: Castle Ritter:

Go inside and once Grace has hung her coat again, click on Gerde. Grace wants to get permission to view the Nobels  Register, to find out the real name of that Goddess, "The Black Wolf ", but that requires special permission from the authorities, so ask Gerde for a Special Permit

Gerde says that Grace must  ask Harry, the friendly lawyer of the Ritter family

Go upstairs and to the library, take a seat at the desk again, click on the typewriter and ......

Grace types a note to Gabe and she also writes a special note for Harry in which she asks for a special permit.

When Grace has finished typing, it's time to get in touch with that Chaphill person.

So take a seat at the desk again and get the book about Ludwig II from Chaphill inventory and click on the phone

Grace calls the publisher but hears that Sir Richard Chaphill is deceased. The girl gives Grace the phone number of Chaphill's son,
