Chapter 4: Day 4: Confusion

Living Quarters

After Tessa has woke up and has had her morning talk with CORE, look around and also use the Holo icon to see 3 holo recordings with Tessa and Anthony Carter.  

One of the Holo recordings shows Tessa Carta who's writng something on the wall of the bathroom, but CORE can't say what it is. Look at the wall between the bathroom and the door. Look at the lamp to the left of the door. This lamp doesn't have a light capsule in it. Take the halogen light capsule from the wall lamp to the right of the door. 

The safe needs a code to unlock but we do this later. When you have the light capsule go back to the Medical Ward. The 2 large gas bottles stand in front of a compartment. Open that compartment.....it's a large drawer and it's full with blacklight capsules but Tessa doesn't now which light capsule she must take, so Tessa closes the drawer again. Take the Light Capsule from Tessa's room from inventory and click with it on the compartment and......

Tessa now takes a Blacklight light capsule from the drawer. Go back to Tessa's room (Quarters)

Use the blacklight light capsule on the wall lamp to the left of the door. 

The blacklight makes the hidden message on the wall visible, it's a kind of formula and Tessa writes it down. In inventory you then have a Note with formulas.....this first  formula is a chesspiece and X plus 5. Take the blacklight capsule back from the lamp because you need it elswhere.

There's a locker on the right side of the safe cabinet. Left of the locker is another white lamp on the wall. Click on that lamp to take the white light capsule out of and then put the Blacklight capsule in that lamp and....On the right locker door are also Markings. Look at these markins and.....Tessa notes it down on the paper....square and then X times three

Open the locker door. Tessa doesn't find anything usefull inside the locker but on the inside of the door are markings. 

Look at the marking/formula on the inside of the door and Tessa will note the 3e piece of the formula down again...Ten minus X

Take back the blacklight capsule from the lamp and leave the room. In the hallway, take the halogen lamp from the lamp holder to the right of the door.

Then put the blacklight capsule in the lamp holder near the door and look at the markings........a bird and X minus three. 

Go back into Tessa's room. Use the safe to see it in close-up. 

Click Start.  While in close-up of the safe open the inventory and right click the Note with formulas.  The note will come in your screen. 

This is a random puzzle. In the display of the safe you have 4 numbers. These 4 numbers could be different in your game and every time you click the START button you'll get a different set of 4 numbers.. You must convert and enter the safe code that has 4 digits, according the  4 formulas. The in-game walkthrough doesn't give a clear explanation either, so if you can't figure it out, like me, then use the Skip button to solve this puzzle.  The  4 numbers you get in the display are the  value of  X in the formulas, so you must use those numbers to solve the formulason the paper and you must do this in this order: 1 = Chess piece; X+5.    2 = Bird; X-3        0 = No symbol; 10-X      4 = Square; X times 3 

If you get the the follow numbers for X in your display, 4 , 7, 1, 1 then this screenshot gives you the solution

If you get these numbers, 2, 6, 2, 0  in the display then this is the solution

I haven't been able to figure out what the carved numbers 1, 2, 0, 4 have to do with it all, so if you know this then please tell me.

If you have solved it correctly Tessa finds her own ID- Card in the safe and this ID card will be in inventory.

A conversation with CORE follows and CORE shows a holo recording of Anthony Carter. 

Tessa is now allowed to view all Holo recordings, including the ones that were locked until now. But first put the Tessa Carer ID-card in the logbook and then read all pages.  Leave here and go back to the Control Room. Use the Holo Icon and look at holo records that you couldn't view before because they where locked.  For me there where 4 holo records I got here in the control room that are now unlocked...

...the important one is the "2200-07-15 People:1" record in which Jonhaton Wind tells about the evacuation of the station and about the evacuation point. 

But Jonathan only give  the first two digits of the evacuation point's coördinates

When you have viewed all Holo records  there's a conversation between Tessa and CORE. 

Tessa want to go to that evacuation point but CORE disagrees.

 After this go back to Main Hall and use the Holo Icon again. There are 2 locked Holo records unlocked here. View both.  

The record "2200-07-15 People:1"  gives Tessa the last two digids of the evacuation point. 

It's the sign on the wall 02 so the coördinates of the evacuation point is 29-14-02.

Go back to the control room and now use the  large console on the right side

Click in the black screen. A list appears on the screen...wait...and then you get a new Mission Operations screen. 

Click on  "Use existing mission point".

The planet appears in the screen. Click the "Missions" button in the lower right corner

Rotate the planet, find and click on evacuation point "Exploration 4".........on the left a date appear = 29-14-02.

Click on "Select point" and then select  'Rover' and click start.

Select the other vehicle "Planet explore" and click start, but the conclusion is clear.......The best vehicle to use to get to the evacuation point is a Rover. There's a Rover in the Incinerator room but Tessa needs to repair it before she can leave the station with it. Before going back to the Incineration room enter the Medical Ward again and there use the Holo Icon to view the Holo records that you couldn't view earlier and when done go back to the Incinerator room

Incinerator Room

First view all unlocked Holo records here....There are 4 of them. 

On the wall, behind the now empty card,  is the orange  tension strap that Mark took in the holo record. Take the Strap. 

Go to the Rover. Click the Rover and then use the 2 options, so first click Start rover,  but the vihicle won't start. Then click Analyze routine and.... 

The programm will preforme a analyze on the Rover and report what's wrong with it.  Tessa has to fix the Rover. Go back to the: 

Storage Room

There are no new unlocked Holo records here to view. Use Mark's ID card on the console again

The robot puts Mark's storage box  on the floor again. Open the box and Tessa takes a second tension strap out of the box

Go into the courtyard and right through the main gate, go outside through the main gate,

You also could go outside via the drill room and then climb the tension strap to the main gate. Outside the station go to the Scrap. Click the Scrap to take back the tension strap that you used on it in  Chapter 2 and on wihich you lowered yourself into the drill room. Go back inside through the Main Gate and then back into the Incinerator room. Use the tension straps on the Rover to bind them on the Rover

Go to the Controle console on the balcony and use it. Click on "Control crane" and move the crane all the way left, to the Rover. Click on "Stop" and then lower the crane with the verical button all the way down. Then close the crane with the crane button box and click "close" to get out of the controls. 

Go back to the Rover. Take the Hook from inventory and use it on the rover, to attach the hook to the straps and the crane.

 Back to the balcony and use the Control console again and then the Crane control again and....... 

Tessa lift the crane, and the Rover, up a bit. Go back to the Rover

Click the Rover again and.......Tessa  sees that the Rover has no battery and she takes the broken axle (axle mounting). Tessa needs to replace the broken axle with a new one, so she needs the 3D printer in the Storage Room for this. But  first go back to the Drill Room. In the hallway, before you enter the drill room, you can view another Holo record. 

After this enter the Drill room.  In the Drill room click on the Generator and listen to Tessa. Then click the Battery of the generator. 

You enter the battery cable screen. Pull all 12 cables out of there sockets to get the energy cell in inventory.  

When you have the energy cell use the Holo icon to see two new Holo records. 

Then go back to the:

Storage Room

In inventory right click the broken axle in inventory and note the serial number,  GN-21-44-FN". Then use the display of the 3D printer. If on the first list you do not see the serial number  GN-21-44-FN" then click "continue" to see the next list. Then click on serial number GN-21-44-FN and listen to Tessa. 

We need need Rainey metal / guffinium. CORE explanes what guffinium is and that you also need Majalt. 

The Screws that you have in inventory are Majalt Screws.

 Look again at the notes on the workbench to read that gruffinium ratio to Majalt as 1:2. 

Go back to the Laboratory. You can wacht a new holo record here.  

Try to place the screws and bolts on the scale, but Tessa first needs guffinium. Fill the spray bottle with hydrochloric acid from the tank again.

Go back to the Drill room. Activate CORE scan.....CORE will tell that the ore contains guffinium. Look at the ore samples again and click on them. 

Tessa needs to extract the guffinium from the ore.  Use the Spray can with acid on the top ore but it is not good enough. 

Go out the close-up . Open the logbook and put Anthony's ID-Card back in it.  Read the pages. On Day 06-24 - 13:00 you read that you need Aqua regia to get the guffinium out of the ore. Go back to the storage room. Use the console and then click Hazardous goods. The robot put the box on the floor again. Open the box and then take the Nitric Acid from the box

Go back to the lab and fill the spray bottle with hydrochloric acid again. 

Go to the Medical ward Use the Mixer machine. Place the hydrochloric acid  and nitric acid in the mixer holder.

Then use the Mixer machine again.  You must Mix a ratio of 3:1:0.......

So Slider A on 75 and Slider B on 25 Slider C on 0 (empty) Then click Mix and.....

You get Aqua Regia in inventory. Go back to the Drill room.

Click the ore samples again and then use the Aqua  Regia on the top ore sample and you finaly have gruffinium

Go back  to the laboratory. Get the guffinium out of inventory and click with it on the scale  and......

..... then solve the mini-game, or skip it via the skip button. You must mix the Guffinium / Majalt screws in a Ratio 2:1= 600 grams. Place guffinium parts on the scale untiland then click on "save weighed parts". You need to put the guffinium multiple times on the scale to get to 400g. At the Save weighed part you can see how much gram of guffinium you have.

 Every piece of gufinium weighs differently, so it's a bit of a puzzle to get to excactly 400 gramms. When you have 400g of guffinium you must place screws up to 200g on the scale and click the "save weighed parts" again. If you can't figure it out use the Skip mini game button to skip this puzzle. When done you have a metal mix (520g) in inventory. Use the metal mix in the oven and get a metal alloy block of 520g.

Go back to the storage room. Use the metal mixture block on the 3D printer, it will be accepted. Use the display, select 'Axis' and ........

Tessa gets a new axis mounting for the Rover. Go back to the Incinerator room. 

Use the New axle mounting on the Rover to place it under the Rover. When it's done use the energy cell on the Rover to place it also in the rover

Use the  Controle console and then crane controls to lower the Rover Go back to the Rover. 

Click the Rover and Tessa removes the straps. Click the Rover again and do the Analysis Routine

When it's done it says that the Rover is repaired, but with restrictions, 

Go back to theControl Room. Use the console on the right side again 

Click on the screen and then on Rover.

Then click on the "create custom route" button. You then must create your own route in the diagram by selecting squares. 

You can skip this with the Skip button.  You can click the qustion mark of the Control Help to get some explanation.

Cut scene: Core has some reservation by using the repaired Rover. Core rather want Tessa to stay inside the station. But Tessa disagree. 

Go back to the Incinerator room and click the Rover and......

Cut scene:  Tessa goes to sleep inside the rover. Tessa has her dream on the beach again and then she's back in hospital and then we go on with

Chapter 5: Day 5: Departure
