Chapter 3: The Teledahn Age.

In this Teledahn Age you have to look for the 7 "Journey Cloths". These "Journey Cloths" act as your Save Points.  if you have found a "Journey Cloth" and you have activated it, the "Journey Cloth" is stored in the Linking Book of this Age. If you then stop playing and then start the game the next time,  you start again in Relto. Take the Linking Book of this Age from the bookcase and click the " Journey Cloth" in this book

You will then return to the Age at the last travel slip that you had activated. If you click on the link photo in the Linking Book, you will be brought back to the starting point of the Age, in the case of the Teledahn Age, that is the Hut.

A: The Hut:

In the Teledahn Age your starting point is the Hut and you are standing in front of the open doorway of the Hut. Go in 3rd person and have a look around in the Hut before you go outside. The hut has only one room and in the middle of the floor is a large metal hatch. There is a red button on one side of this panel. Click on the red hatch button.

Your Avatar tries to open the hatch but that is not going to work because there is no power ........ Nothing in the Age is still working, so you will first have to start the main generator to restart the power supply.  Well....That is always the case with the worlds of Atrus ... they are always in decline and nothing works. There is nothing else you can do in the Hut now, so step outside through the doorway. Stay in 3rd person and as soon as you are out of the Hut  you stand still for a moment. You are apparently in a cave and below  you is water. You are standing on an iron walkway and in front of you is a connecting bridge to the outer walkway.

Stay on the front walkway and walk, t left or  right, around the hut. At the back of the hut you will find the 1st "Journey Cloth" of this Age.

Touch the "Journey Cloth" to activate and save it in the Teledahn Linking Book in Relto.

Walk back to the front and now cross the connecting bridge to the outer path. Stop.....You are now standing right in front of a Lift shaft, and the door of the hut is in your back. On the right is the Lift button.

You can press the lift button until eternity but nothing happens because the lift also has no power.

The outer path also runs all around the hut and there is only one exit out of the cave. Follow the outer path to the left until you come to a path that goes to the right, to the cave Exit

Go through the opening out of the cave and ........ Have you ever seen such enormous Mushrooms?

Enjoy this beautiful environment for a while........., there is no rush. If you have seen enough then follow the iron path until you reach a Y-junction in the path

To the left it goes up to a round platform and to the right the main path continues.

First go left and walk up to the Round Platform. Stand still and look around for a moment.

B: The Sun Generator:

From the middle of the round platform a collapsed balloon rises up. There are 3 white concrete platforms around the outside of the round platform. There is a lever on each of the 3 white platforms. You also see that, on the right, the actual path continues and then goes down. Follow that path for a moment. You will end up on a rock and you will not be able to continue because a large part of the path has disappeared. So go back up to the "Balloon" platform.

There is a small platform on two sides of the "balloon". On the first of those 2 platforms there is a Pillar on which you see the D'ni number 3. This is a button that you can press, but do not do that yet. On the other side of the "Balloon" is a platform with a Telescope. You can peek through the telescope for a moment, but you will not see anything. This whole "balloon" platform is the Solar Energy Generator and it's the main power supply of this Age and you must now turn on the thing.

Go back to that pillar with the D'ni number 3. The button is placed on top of the pillar.

Make sure you are standing in front of the pillar, so that you can click on the button, and then click the button 3 times in a row and ......

...............The Balloon goes up and then pops out and is now a Disc Antenna........

Aim the Telescope at the Sun:

Go back to the Telescope. The Visor of the Periscope is now illuminated. Click again on the Visor and .....

..... You  look through the telescope and see the surroundings.

  • The "EYE" is located in the middle of the Visor screen

  •  Left and right you see an "earpiece" and also at the bottom of the screen is an "earpiece".

  • The bottom "earpiece" is divided into two halves.

  • By clicking on the Left Ear you move the Visor to the left.

  • The faster you click on the left Ear, the faster the Visor will rotate.

  • By clicking on the right Ear you can slow down the speed again.

  • With the upper half of the Lower Ear you move the visor upwards.

  • With the lower half of that lower ear you move down again.

What must you do now ?

You probably see the Sun in the screen now ........

If you do not see the Sun yet, then move the Visor to the left and possibly up / down, until you see the Sun.

The Sun moves through the screen to the left and it does this with a certain and fixed speed. You have to get the Sun exactly right in the middle of the Eye, while the Visor continues to move to the left at exactly the same speed as the sun. If you get this right then the Telescope will be  "locked" onto the sun and it will always follow the sun exactly so that the "Antenna" will always remain focused on the sun.

In order to ensure that the Sun always stays exactly in the middle of the Eye, the SPEED, with which the Telescope moves, must be exactly the same as the speed of the Sun.

You move the visor screen to the left by clicking on the left Ear". The faster you click the faster the Visor moves. If the Visor screen moves faster than the sun, you can slow down the Visor by clicking the right Ear. To move the visor up or down, you click on the lower "Ear".

If you get the Sun in the middle of the Eye and the speed of the telescope is exactly the same as the speed of the sun, then the Telescope Antenna will ALWAYS keep following the sun and will always stay focused on the sun as it revolves around the planet.

As soon as you have it right, you will hear the sound of the machines that are starting up. Then take a step backwards to get out of the visor screen.

If you do not hear the sound of the machines, when you step out of the Visor screen, it means that the Telescope does not keep the Sun in sight and you have to try again.

Once you have started the Sun Generator you go to each of the 3 Levers that are on each of the three white concrete platforms.

Click on each of these three Levers. Two of the levers will work now, but one lever won't work and it will never do. The two levers that do work then start up a big machine.

When you have pushed those two levers backwards, you go back down to the Y-junction.

Follow the main path further to the left and to the end. You are then at

C: The Cement Bucket Cable Car:

This is a Timed Puzzle....you get about 8 seconds to do the things you must do

Go in 3rd person to have a good overview of the screen.

At the end of the path is a lever. The path goes down a staircase to the left,  to the a lower part of the path. You are standing in front of a round tower and to the left of the tower hangs a large cement bucket. There is a Dark Spot in the lower path. That Dark Place is exactly in front of the Cement Bucket. The round tower is the pivot point of a cable car that goes up and then goes into a mountain. The Control Room is located in that mountain. Those Cement Buckets are the "cabins" of the cable car. You have to get into one of Cement Bucket to be transported up to the Control Room. This puzzle goes ON TIME and you have about 8 seconds to get into that Cement Bucket after you have clicked the Lever.

You can do this Timed Puzzle in 1st person or in the 3rd person. You have to figure out for yourself what's for you the best way to do this puzzle. Here is a picture of how to do it in the 3rd person:

In 3rd person, the control of your Avatar is much more difficult than in the 1st person, so you probably will not be able to reach the bucket within 8 seconds and climb in it.

I did this puzzle  in the 1st person and completely with my mouse.

When you are standing in front of the Lever, go in 1st Person and make sure you see the top of the lever. Click the lever and .......... You have 8 seconds to reach the bucket.

As soon as you click on the lever and you have control over your Avatar again, you turn around and then you run fast as you can down stairs and to that Dark Spot in the downstairs path.

Stand on that Dark Spot and quickly click on the top of the Cement Bucket and ..... you see how your Avatar climbs into the Cement Bucket ........

The Cable Car then brings the bucket with your Avatar up to the mountain and you are thrown out of the bucket, on top of a running fan.

If you do not get to the Cement Bucket on time, you have to stop the Mechanism again but then make sure that there is another Bucket at the left side of the Round Tower. If the bucket disappear without your Avatar in it then you must go back to the lever. Make sure that your Avatar is in front of the Lever and  that you look at the Round Tower and the now operating cable car. There are always 2 buckets going up / down. One Bucket goes up while the other bucket is coming down. You have to make sure that the down bucket comes to hang just before the dark spot in the path.  Wait until you see  that a Down Bucket and an Up Going Bucket are at exactly the same height and then quickly click on the handle again. With a bit of luck, the down coming Bucket will stop at that Dark spot in the downstairs path. Then click on the lever again to get things going again and then quickly run down to the bucket and click on it and hopefully you'll still be on time.

D: The Control Room:

The Cement Bucket has delivered you in the Control Room and you're standing on top of a large rotating fan. Walk down the slope.

At the bottom of the slope there is a lift, on the left, and two small rooms on the right.

Walk to the right. A Periscope hangs in each of those two rooms. On the wall between the two rooms hangs your 2nd "Journey Cloth".

Go to the "Journey Cloth". and activate it to save your progress so far.

In the two rooms, left and right of the "Journey Cloth",  you can look through the periscopes to take a look at enjoy the environment.

Then go to the other side of the cave and to that elevator. A operating  Console is to the right of the elevator. Stand in front of the elevator and go in the 3rd person perspective.

In front of the elevator is a Blue Elevator button and to the right of the elevator you see a Foot Pedal on the floor. Walk to the foot pedal and activate it by clicking on it.

You see how your Avatar presses the foot pedal. This is the brake of the lift. To the right of the elevator is a round console "sled".

The "sled" consists of two halves. Walk towards it and then stand in between the two halves

Click on the console and ...... Your Avatar will sit on the right part and you see the levers and the switches on the left part.

The top half of this console shows you a few blue-lit icons. These blue lit icons are the "machines" that are "operational" at this moment in this Age. The bottom half of the console has two switches and two levers. You do not have to do anything with the Left Lever and the Left Switch. These are for the Cement Bucket Cable Car, so leave them alone. What we have to do here now is to make sure that the water is pumped away from under the Hut in the cave, so that we can open that floor hatch in the hut.  You can  pump the water out of the hut cave with the lever that is in the middle of this console and with the right switch you provide power to that floor hatch.

So click on the lever, which is located in the middle of the console.

The lever goes down and slowly moves back up again. While the lever slowly moves back up, click the Right Switch / button to the right.

Ready. Get out of this console and walk to the elevator. Enter the elevator.

There are two buttons in the elevator. On the left a green button and on the right a blue button. Click on the Blue Button and .....You go up with the elevator

When the elevator has stopped, turn around and walk out of the elevator and go through the gate. You have arrived in:

E:The  Round Upper Room.

Go stand on the round carpet and look around. It is a small room. On the right is a niche in the wall and there stands a wooden crate and fish tank on a cupboard.  On the left there are 3 arched windows. The shutters of these windows are closed. To the right of the Left window is hangs your  3rd "Journey Cloth" on the wall, activate it to save your progress up to here in the Teledahn Linking Book.

To the right of the 1st window there is a lever in the wall. Stand in front of the lever and click on it to open the window shutters.

The desk is in front of the middle window and a Periscope hangs in front of the right window. You can look through  the Periscope again. Then go to the desk and click on it.

Your Avatar takes place on the stool and you now have a good view at all the stuff that's on the desk. There are several papers on the desk.

Click on all those papers to view them. The only paper that really matters is the paper that's  lying in the middle of the desk. On this paper you'll see a drawing of the Prison Cave, that  you soon shall enter. On the drawing you see 7 small squares and at each square there is a D'ni number. These are the numbers 1 to 7.

Now note done this drawing, accurately, on a piece of paper and place the correct D'ni number for each of the 7 squares at the squares. These 7 squares are in reality 7 "Pressure Tiles", in the floor of the prison cave and you will soon have to know exactly which tile has which number and where in the cave that tiles are. So make a copy of this drawing ............

NB:if you have played "Myst 2: Riven" you should at least be able to count up to 10 in D'ni numbers. In my walkthrough for Riven you will find the first 20 D'ni numbers ......

When you have copied the drawing then stand up again and turn around. Now walk to the Fish Tank. If you are right in front of the aquarium, turn left.

You then see the corner behind the wooden crate and you see a small paper, lying behind the wooden crate

Your First Relto Page

Make sure you can click on that paper.......it will then appear in your screen. This is the first of the so-called "Relto Pages" that you can find in the game. On the top half of this Relto Page is a green outline. It looks like a "roof". Click on the green sketch. The page then disappears into your Relto Linking Book and you see this book floating up at the bottom left of your screen. Click on your Relto Book to make it open in your screen. Browse to the next page in the book and ...... yes ....... the newly found "Relto Page" is now in your book.

NB: These Relto Pages allow you to decorate your Relto House and GARDEN, in the Relto Age, to suit your own taste. If the drawing is now brightest green then the adjustment is applied, If the drawing is dark green then the adjustment is not applied. You can switch between bright and dark green by clicking on the drawing. Close the Relto Book and click it away again.

Turn back to the Fish Tank and stand very close to it. You automatically switch to the 3rd person if you were still in 1st person. On top of the aquarium is the black Light box and there is a small Red Light on it. Click on the red light and keep your mouse button pressed for a second or 4 seconds and then release.

A flap will open in the cupboard and a Linking Book will light up. Click on the Linking book. The book opens up in your screen and on the left page you see a red DRC stamp. The right page contains a picture of a round room. This is the Douglas Shaper's Linking book.

Click on the Link Photo and ........ you travel to the ...........

 F: Douglas Shaper's Balcony Room:

You are in a small round room. There are 3 paintings on the wall and each of these 3 paintings shows you a place in the Teledahn Age. To the left is a round window where can  you peek through to enjoy the view. To the right is a small pillar on which the Linking Book is located to return to the Round Upper Room. Do not use the Linking Book yet. Now turn around so that you have those 3 paintings in your back. You look into the 2nd room.

Walk to the desk and then look to the right. To the right is a large niche in which a Periscope hangs.

Go to the Periscope and peek through to enjoy the view. To the left of the Periscope, on the wall ledge, is a Stone Linking Tablet, but don't touch it just yet.

Go back to the desk and then to the chair behind it. Click on the chair to sit on it.

You now have a nice overview on the stuff that's on the desk. There is a letter, two cards, a notepad and a Green Book. You can view everything by clicking on it. The Green Book is the Douglas Shaper's Teledahn Diary. Scroll through the book. If you really want to know a lot of background information about the Teledahn Age, then you should read this diary completely.

NB: When you have finished reading Shaper's diary, you can now link directly back to the Round Top Room via the Linking Book on the pillar in the other room. But I'm curious about where that Stone Linking Tablet will bring me when I click on it....aren't you? However, if you want to go back to the Round Top Room right away, use the Linking Book in the other room and skip the next piece. But if you also want to play the expansion game "The Path of the Shell" later on, it is important that you use the Linking Tablet here.

G: Side trip back to Relto:

Go to the Periscope and click on the Stone Linking Tablet, that's lying left on the wall ledge. It will appear in your screen.

Click on the Link photo and ....... you will be transported to another part of the Teledahn Age. You are standing in a sort of sandbox on the other side of the Cement Bucket cable car. Well, this is a "Death End". But you can take the time to enjoy the surroundings and have a rest. If you feel comfortable, open your Relto Linking Book and link back to your home in Relto.

Back in Relto you walk back inside your house and then to the left bookcase and see ........ a new book has been added to your book collection.

The new book is in the 7th slot and it is the Douglas Shaper Balcony Book. Through this book you can now always go back from Relto to the Douglas Shaper Balcony room. But now we are going back to the Teledahn Age, so pull the Teledahn Book out of the bookcase again and then click on the "Journey Cloth", on the left page and ...........

Because your last activated "Journey Cloth" was  in the Round Upper Room, you will be brought back there now.

Back in the Teledahn Age:

Back in the Round Upper Room you go back to the elevator. Go in 3rd person and then click on the Green Button in the elevator.

The elevator will take you back down to the Control Room. Stay in the elevator and click on the Green Button again.

The elevator goes further down and brings you back into  the Hut Cave.

Step out the elevator and walk up the connecting bridge. Take a look, left or right, next to the bridge and you see that the water is now gone. Enter the hut again and go to the Red Button of the floor hatch. Stay in 3rd person and click again on the Red Button  and this time your Avatar open up the floor hatch.

A ladder goes down through the shaft under the hut. Walk forward into the hatch hole and your Avatar will end up on the ladder. Climb down.

 H: Through the Water Pipe:

At the bottom of the ladder you stand on a metal platform. Go in a 1e person and walk to the left and past the round post. You are then standing on the sloping part of the shaft.

You now have a good view over the bottom of the shaft and you can see that there is a large round hole in the bottom of the shaft. That is the entrance of the Water Pipe and a ladder goes down. Walk across the sloping sides of the shaft, so left of the pillar, and then to the right, to that ladder and click on it, or just walk to the edge and ...... your Avatar climbs into the round hole and stands on the ladder.

Climb down ladder and you'll end up on in the water pipe. Switch back to 1st person. You are now in the horizontal water pipe.

Run ahead through the Pipe. The Pipe then goes upwards and then becomes flat again.

As soon as you have had the slanting part of the pipe, and the tube is running flat again, you stand still. To the right there is a large hole in the pipe

Go through the hole out of the pipe and you are at the bottom of a stone staircase. Climb this staircase all the way up and you enter in:

I: The Prison Cave:

Once you have reached the top via the stone staircase, turn right to the wall. On the wall, near the entrance, hangs your 4th "Journey Cloth", so go to activate it.

Then turn around,  so that you look through the cave.  This is the cave of  which you have seen the sketch drawing that was on the desk, in the Round Upper Room. At the back of the cave is a big thick "Pillar". Behind the pillar is the Cell and the two entrances of the cell, left and right of the pillar, are now closed and locked. In the floor of the cave there are 7 "Pressure Plates", just as you saw on the drawing. Stone rocks and other rubbish lies on the floor.

Now first go to the Cell door which is on the right of the pillar. If you go over one of the pressure tiles then you notice that you press the tile through your weight and that the tile rises again as soon as you step off the tile again. So go to the cell door which is right next to the pillar. Look through the bars into the cell.

In the back wall of the cell you see the back door and it is open. To the right of the back door is a niche in the wall and in this niche you see 7 bars and on each bar you see a square block.

The "Pressure Tiles" puzzle

Some of the bars in the Niche have the square block at the bottom and some bars have the square block at the top. These 7 bars correspond to the 7 Pressure Tiles in the cave. Number, in your mind, the 7 bars that you see in the Niche, from left to right, as 1 to 7.

The bars 1, 3 and 5 have their square at the bottom. That means that the Pressure Tiles 1, 3 and 5 are already PRESSED in the cave. The bars 2, 4, 6 and 7 have their square TOP.  So in the cave the Pressure Plates 2, 4, 6 and 7 are NOT PRESSED. You have to do that now.

You must make sure that, in the cave, the Pressure Plates 2, 4, 6 and 7 are pressed and remain pressed. You have to do that by putting weight on those pressure tiles. Take  your drawing of this cave out now. You know, that is the drawing that you have done in the Round Upper Room. You see the Prison Cave and you see the Pillar, the Cell and the 7 Pressure Tiles. At each Pressure Tile there is a D'ni number.

With the help of  drawing you will find out where in the cave you can find the Pressure Tiles 2, 4, 6 and 7.

Tile 2 is in front of  the right entrance of the cell. Tile 6 is in front of Plate 2. Tile 4 is the first tile in front of the left entrance of the cell, so on the left side of the pillar. Tile is in front of tile 4.

It's best to do the following in the 3rd person, so you always see your Avatar. In the 1st person you do not have a good overview of the cave. You must put weight on the tiles 2, 4, 6 and 7.

First go to Tile  4. You will also see Tile  7

Right in front of tile 4 you see rock 1 on the floor. Rock 2 is located between Tile 4 and Tile 7. So you have to get the rocks 1 and 2 on the tiles 4 and 7. The weight of the rock will then press the Pressure Tile down. However, you can not pick up a rock and then throw them on a Pressure Tile. You have to push the rocks onto the pressure tiles.

Go stand behind rock 1 and then walk forward, so that your Avatar walks against rock 1, and then push the rock to and onto Tile 4.

You have to move your Avatar a back and forth a bit to push the rock stone to and on to tile 4. Make sure you get rock 1 completely onto tile 4. You do not have to push a rock to the in the middle of a tile, on the edge is also good. The weight of the rock presses the tile down. Make also sure that your Avatar doesn't push the rock back of the tile again as you walk from Tile 4 to Rock 2

Between tile 4 and tile 7 lies Rock 2.

Go to Rock 2 and then push it onto Tile  7.

Then walk to tile 6. At tile 6 there are 2 rock stones and you can also see Tile 2.

NB: 2023: On the screenshots I have numberd the tiles 5 and 6 wrongly, when I did the Dutch walkthrough way back in 2013. Sorry for this: Louis Koot. Thanks to Kevin from New Zealand who has taking the trouble to bring this mistake to my attention

Push Rock Stone 3 on to tile 6 and then......

....... push rock Stone 4 onto tile 2 and........

The two cell doors are now open

NB: When the Cell Doors aren't open now then you have pushed rock stones onto the wrong tiles or a rock is just not quite right on a tile so that the tile is not pressed down . You do not necessarily have to use the rocks 1, 2, 3, 4. You can also use other boulders and you can also push the bones that are on the floor here and there onto the pressure tiles.

Because you are now on the right side of the pillar, you can enter the cell via the right cell door.

Unfortunately, the back door is closed now. This is because you have opened both front doors. Go to the "7 Bars Niche". There is a lever under each of the 7 bars.

Click on one of the levers. It does not matter which lever / bar you click now. This closes both front doors of the cell and opens the back door again.

NB: Remember which of the 7 levers you clicked. If you quit the game before you have activated the next "Journey Cloth" and then restart the game and return to Teledahn via your Teledahn Linking Book, you will arrive at the front cave at the 4th "travel carpet". However, the front doors of the Cell are still closed. You have to open it up again by removing the stone on the Pressure Tile, which corresponds to the Bar / Lever.

J: To the Harbor:

Leave the Cell trough the back door and then follow the tunnel. The tunnel takes you outside and you're on the other side of the mountain, on a wooden "balcony" that hangs above a gorge. Turn right and walk to the edge. A wooden staircase goes down to a wooden path. So descend the wooden stairs and follow the wooden path to the draw bridge

The draw ridge is up, so it is open. There is a lever in front  the bridge. Click the lever. Nothing happens however, the Bridge stays up.

Walk back a little bit and the turn around and now  RUN , keep your left and your right mouse button pressed to run, to the bridge and when you are at the lever you press your jump key (space bar) while you keep running. You jump against the bridge and the bridge drops a down a bit.

Walk back again and then run back to the bridge and just run up the bridge and keep on running. You now automatically pass over the bridge and you land onto the continuation of the wooden path. Follow the path to the Stone Steps and climb up this staircase. Above you walk a bit further and then you are at a large clearing near the Sea.

Go to the right to where all those crates and crates are. Behind the crates you see the sea and you see a large round platform, on its side, sticking up out of the sea. Turn to the right. In the mountain you see a narrow gate and there is a door in it. To the left above the gate a ledge runs along the rock and there you also see the 5th "Journey Cloth". To the left of the "Journey Cloth" you see a ladder going up to a platform that hangs in front of a round entrance. If you look closely you will also see 3 large boulders hanging on ropes in front of the ladder, hanging in the air.

We skip this 5th "Journey Cloth" for now ... we are not yet going to activate it.

Crates are also to the right of the gate and there is also a pulley there. Now enter that the gate and click on the door to open it.

Then go through the opened door and you have arrived in:

K: Lower Dome Grotto:

Here and there are  crates and crates are also standing along the walls. To the right is a metal staircase that goes up to a door. Under that upper door, so under the stairs, there are a few crates.

Walk down to the metal stairs and go to left until you are right next to the crates. Behind this pile of crates is another crate and on this is a Stone Linking Tablet.

Click on the Linking Tablet to get it into your screen but do NOT click on the Link photo.

This Tablet links you to the 2nd part of the Gahreesen Age, but we are not going to go there yet. We will come back here later and then we will use this Stone Linking Tablet.

Click next to the Tablet to put it back and now go up the Metal Staircase and up the door. Click on the door to open it and step through it.

L:  Hall:

Follow the tunnel up until it becomes flat again and then STOP. The tunnel becomes wider here and  a floor lamp  shines its light.

To the right is a large Metal Door with a Handprint on it, this is the so-called "Journey Door", which gives access to the Bahro Cave in the Volcano.

Go forward to that lamp in the ground. Consider this floor lamp as the center of this "tunnel". There are four exits ...... The first is of course the door to the Lower Dome Grotto, the second is the "Journey Door", the third is the exit that you now see straight ahead and the 4th is to the left of the lamp. Standing at the floor lamp, turn to the left. On the wall you can now see the 6th "Journey Cloth". Go there and activate it.

Then go past the journey cloth, turn left around the corner and follow the tunnel and you will come out on a metal path above the ocean.

Right in front of you, you can see that the big "Platform on its side" is rising up out of the ocean.

Walk to the end of the path, to the Periscope. To the right, a staircase goes down to the lower continuation of the metal path.

M: Activate the 5th "Journey Cloth"

Standing in front of the periscope, turn left until you see,  on the left side of the large "round platform on its side",  the quay with the crates and the gate to the Lower Dome Room. Vaguely you now also see the 5th  "Journey Cloth" and if you look carefully then see that there is a ladder above that  "Journey Cloth". However, that ladder does not reach all the way down to the ledge. Above the  "Journey Cloth" are three boulders, each hanging on a rope. These boulders act as weights for that ladder and they now ensure that the ladder does not reach the ledge.

Turn back to the Periscope and click on the looking glass of the periscope

You will enter the Periscope Visor screen again and this visor also has an "earpiece" left and right and an "earpiece" at the bottom which is divided into two halves. But now there is also a Blue Button, above the "eye",  that flashes and in the lower right corner there is a Green Button in a slot. We are going to practice. Click on that green button and then hold down your mouse button. You can now drag this button through the slot up (right) and down (left) and if you do that you will notice that this is the ZOOM function of the periscope. Practice with it for a while and then click on the Blue button above the "eye"...... ..... you shoot bullets with the Periscope. The thing is a machine gun.

Now turn the Periscope to the left by clicking on the left ear. Aim the Eye of the Visor  at the  "Journey Cloth" and then zoom with the visor in on  5th  "Journey Cloth". Zoom in all the way in and make sure you get the  "Journey Cloth" right in the middle of your "eye". Via the lower "earpiece" you can move the visor up and down and via the right "earpiece" to the right. Move your visor upwards to the  "Journey Cloth". Above the  "Journey Cloth" the 3 boulders hang on ropes. 2 boulders hang right above the  "Journey Cloth" and the third is slightly to the left and right in front of the ladder. Aim the EYE of the Visor at the boulder that hangs in front of the ladder and then blow the rocks to pieces by clicking on the Blue button.

Move the Visor down to the 2 lower hanging boulders and then make sure you have the left boulder of those two boulders in the middle of the EYE and then blast this rock to pieces.

If all goes well, the ladder will descend further down to the ledge.

When you are done with this, you will leave the Periscope. Return, via the dividing hall, to the Lower Dome Grotto.

Go down the stairs again and then through the gate to the outside. Walk through a bit and then turn around so that you look again at the entrance to the Lower Dome Cave. Go in the 3rd person. You now have to get on that ledge, to the left of the gate, to get to the 5th "Journey Cloth" and that ladder. To the right of the gate is also a ledge and there are also crates.

You first have to climb on the Pulley 1 and then on the crates 2 and 3, which are right next to the gate. Then you jump from crate 3 to the ledge, right next to the gate.

Then you have to jump OVER the gate to the ledge were the "Journey Cloth" is and the ladder.

This is all easier said than done. You can not just climb onto the crates. You have to do this via a running jump.

So you must run to the pulley and then press your jump button while you keep running. It's best to do this in 3rd person. Perhaps these screenshots can help you.

Success with it ....When you have reach the ledge with the 5th "Journey Cloth" and the ladder then you activate the "Journey Cloth" quickly to save your progress. Then walk to the ladder and walk against it. Your Avatar will be on the ladder, so limb up. You end up on a wooden platform that hangs before the Entrance of the Upper Dome Grotto.

N: The Upper Dome Grotto:

Go inside and turn to the right. On the right wall is a work table and a small desk. To the left of the Work Table the 7th "Journey Cloth" is hanging on the wall.

Activate the "Journey Cloth".

We are ready here in the Teledahn Age. However, we will come back later to use the Linking Tablet in the Lower Dome Cave. That is why it would be useful if we could descend from this room to the Lower Dome Cave. Turn around and .... you will see an open doorway. Leave this room through the doorway and then descend the stone Stairs.

At the bottom of the Stone Staircase you click on the door and ....... Your Avatar is stroking with her / his hand through some grooves in the door and .... .the door opens.

Step through the now opened door and ..... you are back in the Lower Dome Cave.

Because you have now stored the 7th "Journey Cloth" in the Teledahn Linking Book, you can now always travel back from Relto to the Upper Dome Cave and then go down the stairs to the Lower Dome Grotto and the Linking Tablet that is located here on the crate . But we only do that when we are in Gahreesen.

Go up the metal stairs again and through the door and follow the tunnel up again and then go to the big metal "Journey Door".

Click on the Hand in the door and ........

The door opens. You are looking into a very dark tunnel. Walk through the opened door and keep walking even though you do not see anything .....

After a few moments you will hear the "Linking Sound" and ...... you will end up in

O: The Bahro Cave

Upon arrival you hear the voice of Yeesha. STAND STILL. Go in 3rd person to have a good overview. Turn slightly to the right.

On the wall you see a Hand and to the right of the hand you see an "enlightened Male figure".

Listen patiently to the voice of Yeesha ...... while you also turn around to look around you. You stand in a round cave and on a wide ledge. You see a sort of "Totem pole" standing in front of you. Behind this "Totem pole" is a DEEP HOLE. That is the DEEP NOTHING. DO NOT RUN. If you fall into that hole then you end up in Relto and you must nit do this just yet.......... Listen to Yeesha. If Yeesha has finished then turn back to the wall. The "Male figure" is now no longer illuminated. If you want to hear Yeesha's story again, click on the "Male" to light it up again so that you will hear the Yeesha recording again.

If Yeesha has spoken then you go to the Hand, that's on the wall.  Click on the Hand to activate the Hand and ..........

 Back to Relto:

Well, we are finished with the Teledahn Age . You have to go back to Relto now and you can do that in two ways. You can use your Relto Linking Book (F1 or the bottom left of the screen) or simply jump in the cave down into the deep hole. I do the latter and I recommend that you do this  too because then you can see what happens to the Totem Pole.

So just jump in the DEEP, or walk in 3rd person off the plateau and ....... you end up in the garden in front of your cottage in Relto. So you are at the 4 pillars and ..... at Pillar 2, the Teledahn pillar, is now the Totem Pole that you just pulverized in the Bahro Cave. The pillar itself drops into the ground.

Walk into the house and go to the bookcase containing the linking books. Click on the bookcase to zoom in again and then click on the Gahreesen Book, which is in slot 2. This book also slides out of the cupboard and opens up in your screen. Click on the photo of the right page to continue to:
