2022: Walkthrough by: Louis Koot

Chapter 1: Nikopol's Apartment:

We start the game in the bedroom of Nikopol's apartment. The apartment is a dump, a hovel and it is a huge mess. Don't know if this is symptomatic for artists. You hear Nikopol say that Gorgon, the leader of the Brotherhood, left a message for him. Nikopol thought that Gorgon was acting quite panicked during their last meeting. On the floor is the mattress that serves as Nikopol's bed. To the right of the mattress, in front of the window, is a red lighter on a letter. In front of the lighter is a pack of incense sticks. A chain hangs from the closure of the window. Grab the Chain, which hangs from the lock of the window. Look down and then grab the Lighter and grab an Incense Stick from the pack of Incense Sticks.

Turn left. The TV is in the other window. Watch the TV with the "view cursor" The TV has stopped working for years. 

Through the passage you look into Alcide's studio room. Turn left and open the double door between the cabinets. 

Then go into the next room. You are then in the "sitting room".

There is a large film projector standing in de sitting room. Look at the film projector with your "loupe cursor".

Nikopol tells that his father got the projector from an old cinema. Behind the film projector you can see the bathroom. I have to say....it has it chrmes such an open bathroom. Go into the bathroom and take a look around too. There are a few posters on the floor by the nice clean toilet and the telephone is also on the floor.

Look at those posters with your magnifying glass. They are posters for the hockey match between the 2 best hockey teams. The phone's light flashes to indicate that a message has been left. So click on the phone to listen to the recorded message. You hear a call from the government telling you that tomorrow is Election Day and voting is mandatory. Nikopol doesn't like it because Dictator Choublanc is the only candidate. Go through the hole in the wall to the hall and the front door. Click on the front door. Someone slipped a note under the front door and Nikopol thinks it was Gorgon. Take the note from under the front door.

Read the letter. It is indeed a note from Gorgon.

Nikopol meent dat er op één van de oude vakantiefilms wel een opname van zijn vader te vinden is. Klik nogeens op de voordeur. Je hoort Nikopol dan zeggen dat ie pas het appartement kan verlaten als hij het portret van zijn vader heeft geschilderd. Draai rechts en ga door het gat in de muur de zitkamer weer in. Links is dan de open haard. Draai je rechtsom naar het lage tafeltje, waar de 3 bioscoopstoelen voor staan. 

Nikopol believes that a recording of his father can be found in one of the old holiday films. Click on the front door again. You then hear Nikopol say that he cannot leave the apartment until he has painted his father's portrait. Turn right and go through the hole in the wall back into the sitting room. On the left is the fireplace. Turn clockwise to the low table, in front of which the 3 cinema seats are.

On the table are some newspaper articles and a HEBDO-FILM magazine. Click with your magnifying glass on all newspaper articles and the magazine and then read everything through. In the HEBDO-FILM magazine you read that the ice hockey match between the Paris Holy Cross and the Olympic Kamikazes Kaballistes of Lyon will take place in the Choubanc stadium. Nikopol has written in red letters "Find out the results of the match".

 In the "Terror in the Shoals" article you can read that an unknown object has crashed in the city. The government sent team investigators to the scene, but an illegal procession prevented the team from reaching the crash site. When the team finally arrived on the scene, the object was found to have disappeared. The military government nevertheless thinks it must have been a missile. The government offers food stamps for information. Nikopol has written "Why is the Military interseted in that? Find out more information".

In the "Negotiations continue with the mysterious pyramid" article you can read that that mysterious pyramid has been hanging above the Elysee, the government buildings, for a week. Dictator Choublanc has visited the mysterious pyramid and has stated that the negotiations are not going smoothly, but that negotiations will certainly continue. The identity of the inhabitants of the pyramid and also the nature of the negotiations are kept secret 

In the "Religous traffic in the north area of ​​the second urban district" article you can read that the sale of religious objects, such as statues of saints, is illegal and therefore prohibited. There is 3 to 6 months of forced labor for being in possession of such a religious object.When you have read all the articles, turn around to the fireplace. In the corner, to the right of the fireplace, there are shelves on the wall filled with reels of film. Grab a Film Reel from the stack.

Turn around again and go forward to the movie projector. Stand in front of the projector again.

 At the front of the projector are the 2 round film reel holders. There is a lever on the thick part of the projector. The projector stands on a swivel leg. 

Open the top round film spool holder. 

Right click to open your inventory. Then click on the Video reel in your inventory. The VideoReel will appear at the bottom left of your screen. 

Click in the opened top film reel holder to place the video reel there. Close the top holder.

Click the lever to start the film. But Nikopol says he needs something to project the film onto, something like a movie screen. Walk back to the fireplace. Stand in front of the fireplace and then look up at the ceiling. The rolled up projection screen hangs from the ceiling above the fireplace. Click on it to roll out the projection screen.

Go back to the projector and click on the lever again and .... On the screen you now see Nikopol's father. 

Dad is on trial for high treason and sentenced to freezing and his frozen body will be stored in a space capsule and guarded by a type XB2 android. This was 2 months before Nikopol was born.  Turn around and go back to the bedroom and then through to Nikopol's study. Look around. 

There are 3 easels in front of the windows. There is a painting on the left and right easels. In front of the left easel is a small table on which is the box with brushes and Nikopol's paint. When you are right in front of the easels, turn clockwise. In the corner is a small table with a white bust on it. In front of this table is the crane with which Nikopol can lift large chunks of stone. To the right of the white bust is a Sledgehammer and a Chisel. Behind the table are empty canvases.

Grab the Sledgehammer. Nikopol automatically takes the Chisel. Grab an empty white canvas. Turn back to the 3 easels. 

Grab the middle easel, so the easel that doesn't have a painting on it. Grab the Box of Paints (Painting kit) from the table in front of the left easel.

When you have packed all your belongings, go back to the movie projector in the sitting room, Nikopol automatically places the easel on the right wall. Nikopol's father is still being projected on the projection screen. Open your inventory and take out the White canvas. Then click on the easel to place the canvas on the easel. 

Turn around to the movie projector. Now click with your action cursor on the top part of the projector's leg. 

This will turn the projector around and Nikopol's father will now be projected onto the painting canvas.

So turn back to the easel. Now take the Painting equipment from your inventory and then click with the action cursor on the painting canvas and ......

........ you now come into the close-up of the painting canvas. You must now paint your father's portrait.

So on the canvas you see the projected portrait of your father. On the left is the painter's palette and on the right is a glass of water. The palette shows the colors black, dark gray, medium gray, light gray and white. The intention is that you fill in the correct colors in the projected portrait on the canvas. 

Number the paint blobs on the palette 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, so black is 1, white is 2, dark gray is 3, medium gray is 4 and light gray is 5. You click on the paint blobs and then you click on the canvas, where you want to apply the paint to the canvas. If you make a mistake, you can click on the glass of water to return the puzzle to its original position.

               Click on black (1) and then click on the canvas on the Hair A. 
              Click on white (2) and then click on the canvas on the shirt B
               Click on dark gray (3) and then on the canvas on the throat C
Click on medium gray (4) and then on daddy's lips D 
   Click on light gray (5) and then on daddy's forehead E.

Ready and automatically Nikopol takes the portrait of the donkey and says that he must now go to that Gorgon.

Save your game now because you need to act fast in a moment. If you are too slow Nikopol will be killed and it is GAME OVER.

Go back to the hall and the front door. Now open the front door and ........

.. Some monstrous animal comes up the stairs and calls out that he is coming to arrest Nikopol.  

So you are back in the hall of the apartment. When you look at the front door, quickly turn around to the hole in the wall of the bathroom. 

In the left corner stand a gray metal tube. 

Quickly grab the gray tube and then quickly turn back to the front door and click on the front door with the gray tube

You place the metal tube against the front door and this prevents the monster from entering immediately. But it only helps for a little while.

 Quickly go through the bathroom and the sitting room to the bedroom. In the sitting room, Nikopol turns around and sees the monster break through the front door. Nikopol rushes into the bedroom and closes the door to the sitting room. Quickly .... take the Chain from your inventory and then quickly click on the door handles of the double door. The chain will stop the monster again for a while

Quickly enter the studio. In the studio Nikopol then looks through cracks in the wall and sees the monster in the sitting room. The monster cannot see Nikopol because he is blind. But the monster can smell Nikopol. In the sitting room, the monster now moves back and forth between the doors to the bedroom and the doors in the corner by the fireplace. Next to the hole in the wall is a large wooden cupboard. Behind that cupboard is the door to the sitting room. There is a heavy stone in the cupboard. The stone is too heavy to lift.

Turn around to the crane. Click on the lower thick part of the crane pole to push the crane towards the cabinet. 

The crane is then in front of the cabinet.  Click on the white button box of the crane. 

The grab of the crane now grabs the stone in the cupboard. Click again on the white button box

The crane grabs the stone and lifts the stone. 

Now click on the bottom of the crane pole again to slide the crane, with the stone, back.

Go back to the bedroom

At the mattress, look down to the floor again, where you picked up the lighter and incense stick earlier. Above the paper, on which the lighter lay, is an elongated incense holder. Open your inventory and take out the Incense Stick. Then click on the incense holder to insert the incense stick. Then take the lighter from your inventory and click on the incense stick in the incense holder. You light the incense stick

Because of the smell of the incense, the monster will no longer be able to smell Nikopol, and therefore will not know where Nikopol is. 

Turn around to the sitting room door. Click on the door handles to remove the chain from the door.  Immediately run back to the studio 

Turn left to the large closet. Click with the action cursor on the large wooden closet.

 Nikopol slides the wooden cupboard into the passage to the bedroom. 

The passage is now blocked by the cupboard but the monster will have no problem with that. Turn back to the crane. 

Click on the crane pole again. The crane moves back to the cupboard. 

Click on the white button box again to place the stone in the box.

Turn right and go through the double doors into the sitting room. In the sitting room, turn left and go to the connecting door with the bedroom. The doors to the bedroom are now open and the monster is in the bedroom. So make sure you don't go into the bedroom. Click on the doors with the action cursor to close the doors. Then quickly take the chain from your inventory and click on the door handles again to tie the chain around the door handles again. 

The monster is now locked in the bedroom. Quickly go to the hall. The monster has made a mess in the hall. The front door is out and there is a lot of rubble. Do not click on the metal struts. On the right is a wooden beam on the floor. To the left is a pile of rubble and a large, thick stone. Nikopol would be able to support the ceiling with the wooden post, if it weren't for the fact that the wooden post is too short. So you have to somehow extend the wooden pole. In the rubble, find the action cursor and then click to remove some of the rubble. You have then cleared a section of the floor from debris. Pick up the thick heavy stone and click the stone on the cleared part of the floor. 

Then pick up the wooden beam and click the beam on the stone. 

The wooden post now supports the ceiling and now you can safely remove the door. 

Take the Sledgehammer from your inventory and then ram the door with your action cursor to smash the door. 

Then go forward and turn right. Unfortunately .... the stairwell has also collapsed. 

Turn around. On the wall you see dark stones. It's a bricked-up window. 

Take the sledgehammer from inventory again and then click on the bricked up window to get into the close-up

At the bottom of your screen are 5 hammers. You can only click on 5 stones to remove all stones from the window.

If you don't manage to remove all the stones in 5 turns, it's Game Over. Well.......t's not that hard. Click with your cursor on the stones 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 and ....

. ..... you have removed all the stones. Go forward through the now open window hole and .....

Nicopol escapes. Before boarding a taxi, Nikopol explains that he has only been a member of the Great Evangelic Return for a few weeks, the religious group he is now on his way to. Nikopol is not a big believer in religions, but joined because the group revolted against the current government of dictator Choublanc. Nikpol then gets into a taxi that delivers him to the Cemetery
