Chapter 2: Graveyard

Gorgon is already waiting for Nikopol and a conversation follows. Well...a conversation...it's more of a Gorgon monologue. Gorgon will explain to Nikopol later why he needs a portrait of Nikopol's father. Nikopol's first task will be to encode a secret message for the other loyal members of the group. But this has to be done in a way that the military can't get wind of it. Gorgon hands Nikopol a ritual manual.

Gorgon stands in front of his office. There is a magazine in the window of the office. 

Zoom in on that magazine. You are reading a report of the ice hockey game. 

The Kamikazes from Lyon won the match 7-4. These are not goals but.....killed players. Because that's what ice hockey is all about in 2023 ...... to kill as many of your opponents as possible. You also read that player 23, of the Lyon team, has applied for political asylum. You also read that General Vertegoutte was executed for a haircut attempt. Click the article away again. Nikopol is astonished at the execution of that General Vertegoutte.

You are in a hallway. From Gorgon, turn left. You look down the hallway that  have racks full of boxes. 

There is a black cross on each box. Are these corpse boxes? Go forward 1 click through the alley. 

You will then be at a vending machine where you can buy an urn. There is also a collection box on the wall.

If you click on that collection box a few times, you'll hear Gorgon warning you to keep your feet off it. Gorgon can see what you are doing through a mirror. Nikopol says he needs a distraction if he wants to open the collection box and steal the money. From the collection box, go forward 1 click again. You are then in front of a wide passage with those rubber flaps hanging in it. Above this passage is a security camera. If you try to go through the flaps, you will hear a voice that tells you not to enter. Turn right. You will see an open door with a red lamp above it.

Continue forward to and through the door. You are then in the:

Ritual Room: 

Part 1:

It's dark here. In a niche are 4 burning candles on the floor. Click anywhere with your cursor on the walls and Nikopol will tell you that it is too dark in here and that he should turn on the light. In the right wall is a very dark niche.......So turn right and move your cursor over the screen.....You can  just make out that you are standing in front of that very darek niche. Open the inventory and take out the Lighter  then just click anywhere on 1 of the walls of the niche with your action cursor and......... The lighter creates a circle of light. In the niche you will see 2 switches.  The top switch is the light switch. Click on the top switch and you have light. There is another switch under the light switch, but it requires a key.

Look around. Click on the walls and Nikopol will tell you to install the encryption system here. Look down at the floor and turn around. In the niche where the light switch hangs, you see 3 tiles. On the left tile you see a key , on the middle tile a crown and on the right tile a scale is depicted. In front of these 3 tiles are the fragments of other tiles. On the left is a white Chalk. Grab the Chalk. 

Turn around to the wall behind you. You will see 2 more tiles, a Tower tile and a Sword tile.

Open your inventory. Click on the Read circle and then click with your reading cursor on the Rituel Manuel, which you received from Gorgon. Read the manual now. You read that you have to draw drawings on the walls with the crayon and that you have to place tiles on the floor. The Manuel also tells you which drawing to draw in which place.  Finally, you read that the name of the urn containing your mother's remains is Clemence Morganidon-3

Click the Manuel away and close the inventory. Look at the walls.

The Murals puzzle:

So in the back wall is a niche where the 4 burning candles are located. The rest of the 3 walls consist of grey/blue panels. There are 8 wall panels. Number the wall panels, from left to right, A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H. Name the niche with the candles as Niche I

Take the Chalk crayon from your inventory and then click with your cursor on one of the wall panels. 9 drawings will now appear on your screen. 

Click on the drawing you need to draw on the panel and the drawing will then be drawn on the panel. Right click to make the 9 drawings disappear again. You now know how it works. Make sure you have the white chalk crayon at the bottom left of your screen and now start drawing the drawings on the doors, following the directions of the Rituel Manuel:

  • Click on Panel A and click on the Snake drawing. The Snake is drawn on Panel A.

  • Click on Panel B and click on the Horn drawing. The Horn is drawn on Panel B.

  • Click on Panel C and click on the Skull drawing. The Skull is drawn on Panel C.

  • Click on Panel D and click on the Miter drawing. The Miter is drawn on Panel D.

  • Click on Panel E and then on the Wheel/Rad drawing. The Wheel is drawn on Panel E.

  • Click on Panel F and then on the Gallows drawing. The Gallows is drawn on Panel F.

  • Click on Panel G and then on the Chalice drawing. The chalice is drawn on Panel G.

  • Click on Panel H and then on the Tree drawing. The tree is drawn on Panel H.

When you have placed the drawings each on the right panel, you will hear Nikopol say "All drawings are in the right place". If Nikopol does not say this, then you have put 1 or more drawings on the wrong panel

 If Nikopol has said you did it right, open the inventory. Take the Portrait of Nikopol's father from your inventory and then click on Niche I to hang the portrait in Niche I

The wall panels are now ready. Now you have to put the tiles on the floor.

 In the Manuel there are 9 floor pictures and the floor can contain 9 tiles. However, there are only 5 whole tiles. Look again at the fragments that are in front of the 3 tiles on the right. Nikopol then says that he recognizes those fragments as the fragments of the Black Cross tile, the Salt Tile and the 2 Coins tile. 

So you have to replace these 3 tiles and you also have to look for your mother's Urn. 

The Urn, 2 Coins and Salt:

Exit the Ritual Room. You are then back at the wide flap door that you are not allowed to go through and you are in front of a number of graves. 

Behind the graves you see a left corridor and a right corridor. In the left corridor is the Urn vending machine and the collection box. 

So now go back to the Urn vending machine and the collection box. 

Turn back to the collection box and then look down at the floor. 

Under the collection box is a pile of stones on the floor. Grab a stone from the pile. 

The stone will stick to your cursor. Now turn left until you see the round mirror of Gorgon again. Then click with the stone on the mirror to shatter the mirror. 

Gorgon can no longer see the collection box, so quickly turn back to the collection box. Click on the collection box again and .... now you take 3 Coins from the collection box. Turn right so that you are right in front of the Urn Machine. You will see green arrows on the machine. Below the green arrows is a red button and the coin slot. Take the 3 Coins from your inventory and then click on the coin slot of the machine to put the coins in the machine. 

A row of Urns is now lit. So you're looking for your mother's urn. On the Rituel Manuel you read that the urn you are looking for is the "Clemence Morganidon-3". The urn is therefore in the 3rd row. Now the 4th row of urns has been selected in the machine. So click on the green Up arrow and the 3rd row is selected. Click on the green left arrow until you read the name Clemence Morganidon at the top of the machine. 

Then click on the green rectangle button and .... the Clemence urn is taken and appears at the bottom of the machine.

Grab the Clemence Urn from the machine. Look again at the coin slot and take the 2 coins out. Do not forget this.

Turn around. On the wall, right opposite the urn machine, you see a small altar. 

There is a traffic light at the altar. Go forward to the altar. In the altar hangs a black cross key. Grab the black cross key.

Turn right. You see that flap door again, where the security camera hangs above. Go forward to the flap door. 

You are not allowed through the flap door. So turn left. You will see an open gate. 

Go forward through the opened gate. You are then at the end of the corridor and stand between racks that are again full of boxes. Turn right and look down. You will see a ventilation grille. You cannot reach the ventilation grille because there is a metal plate on the bottom shelf of the rack. The metal plate is screwed in with 6 screws. Take the Cross key from your inventory and then click on the metal plate to loosen the 6 screws in 1 go. 

Then click on the metal plate to remove the plate. Then click on the ventilation grid to kick it away. Then go forward through the ventilation hole.

You end up in the Freezer Section, where Gorgon keeps the corpses frozen until they are buried or cremated. 

Turn right and go 1 click forward. 

Nikopol then turns around and sees a tape recorder on the wall. The tape recorder "monitors" the flap passage. 

Turn around so that you are standing with your back to the flap doorway. You look at a niche.

Then go 1 click forward, into the deep niche. There are 5 freezers in the alcove. Turn clockwise so that you are directly in front of the rightmost freezer. Click on this cabinet with your action cursor and you will notice that the corpses in the cabinets are kept in salt. To the right of the freezer you see a metal plate. Behind the metal plate you see a pressure gauge that indicates the temperature of the cabinets. The metal plate is secured with screws. Take the Cross key from your inventory again and click on the metal plate to remove the screws. Then click on the metal plate again to remove the plate.

There is a red rotary wheel under the pressure gauge. Click on the red wheel to thaw the ice in the right cabinet. You can clearly see the body in the closet through the glass. Click on the glass with your action cursor. You then see that the body is freezing. Then take the Chisel from your inventory and click on the glass of the cabinet again. 

You cut a chunk of salt out of the freezer. Turn right and go forward, to and now through the flap passage. 

Then turn left and go back to the Ritual Room

 Part 2:

The Floor Tile Puzzle:

Read again the instructions for the floor tiles in the Rituel Manuel Floor Tiles:

  • The Key goes under the Tap.

  • The Salt comes under the Chalice.

  • The Urn comes between the 2 Coins and the Black Cross.

  • The Scale and the Sword come in the same row as the Black Cross.

  • The scales and the Crown go in the same column as the Key.

Look at the floor between the 3 walls. 9 tiles can be placed on the floor in 3 vertical columns and 3 horizontal rows. Number the tiles on the floor, from top left to bottom right, 1 to 9.

Pick up the Key Tile. Place the Key tile on floor tile 1.

  • Pick up the Crown tile. Place the Crown tile space 4.

  • Pick up the Libra tile. Place the scale tile on space 7.

  • Pick up the Sword tile. Place the Sword tile on space 9.

  • Take the block of salt from your inventory. Place the chunk of Salt on space 6.

  • Pick up the Tower Tile. Place the Tower tile on space 3.

  • Take the Coins from your inventory. Place the Coins on from 2.

  • Take the Urn from your inventory. Place the urn on space 5.

  • Take the Cross Key from your inventory. Place the Cross key on space 8 and .....

  • "Perfect, everything is in place", you hear Nikopol say, as a sign that you have done everything right.

Unfortunately .... the door of the room is slammed and locked. You are now locked in the ritual room and need to find a way out. Look at the bottom of the now closed door. At the bottom of the door you see a narrow crack. There is a narrow metal slat screwed to the bottom of the door. Click on the keyhole of the door. Nikopol tells you that the key is still in the keyhole on the other side.

Turn around to the tile floor and grab the Cross key from tile 8.  Turn back to the door. 

Take the Cross key from your inventory and then click on the metal slat that is screwed against the bottom of the door. 

You unscrew the metal slat from the door. The gap under the door is now wider. Take the Rituel Manuel from your inventory and click in the crack under the door. You slide the Manuel under the door. Take the Chisel from your inventory and then click on the keyhole of the door. You use the chisel to push the key out of the keyhole. 

So the key falls on the Manuel. Store the chisel again (right click) and grab the Manuel back from under the door again and .... you then have the keys. 

Take the Keys (Cemetery key) from your inventory and click on the keyhole again to open the door.

Office

So leave the Ritual Room again. Turn left and go back to the hallway where the Urn Machine is located. Then go 1 more click forward, to Gorgon's office. The entrance/exit of the cemetery is now closed. Turn left to the office. The door is locked with a padlock and the window is closed with a hatch. Take the keys from your inventory again and click on the padlock. The door opens.

So enter the office. Inside, turn right. The bed is on the left. There is a briefcase under the bed. 

Above the bed are 2 bookshelves. The desk is on the right. Look at the bookshelves. A piece of paper sticks out between the books on the top shelf. Grab that piece of paper. View this "Decoding diagram" in your inventory. On the paper you see a box diagram and in the boxes are all the letters of the alphabet.  

Turn around to the desk. On the front of the desk is a photo of Nikopol's father. A David star is drawn in the photo. There is also a curled note on the desk. Click on the photo. Grab the little curled note. It is a coded letter (Coded letter) and you can therefore not read it in your inventory.  On the back of the desk you see a stack of books. There is 1 book standing upright, against the stack. Click on that book and a page from this "The Order of the Great Evangelical Return" book will appear on your screen. Read through the page. The page describes a vision.

You read about a Beast that descends from the stars. It is ancient and will take the form of a man. The Beast will be on Earth for 7 days and nights, flooding the world with plagues and misfortunes. The end of the world is approaching. His descendant will find the Beast and name it Armageddon. The name Nikopol is written in red on the page. Would the brotherhood think Nikopol is the Beast?

Click the page again. You hear Nikopol who thinks the ideas of the brotherhood are scary and ridiculous. 

Above the desk hangs a large photo with a circle in red. Take the Photo and view it in your inventory.

It is a photo of the Butcher shop (Boucherie) and in the photo the door of the butcher shop is circled in red. Click the photo away again and look at the bed again. There is a briefcase under the bed. Take the Briefcase from under the bed. You put the briefcase on the bed. Click on the briefcase again to open it. Then click in the open briefcase. You take a letter from the briefcase.

The letter is from the Worship Authorities major center, that is, from the government, and is addressed to Gorgon. The letter grants Gorgon permission to hold his, actually illegal, prayer services on the condition that he continues to cooperate with the government. Click the letter away again. If Nikopol had known that Gorgon is in fact employed by the government, he would not have joined the Brotherhood. Exit Gorgon's office and go back to the:

Ritual Room: 

Part 3:

Remember the two light switches on the right wall, the bottom one needed a key? So turn right again to the niche where the light switch is located. 

So the bottom switch needs a key. Take the Cemetery key from your inventory again and click on the bottom switch and ........

.... the ceiling light turns on and you now see that the ceiling is also covered with symbols. Look at the ceiling. 

Number the 9 ceiling tiles 1 till 9, in the same way you have numbered the floor tiles.  Note down witch symbol you see in witch tile

Look down and turn left. You look again at the place where the Tower Tile and Sword Tile previously stood, under the extended cover. 

Take the decoding diagram from your inventory and then click on the metal flap of the opened hatch, where the Tower tile and the Sword tile were underneath.

Decode the images on the ceiling, floor and walls:

Nikopol places three papers on the cover: the decoding diagram, the coded letter with names of symbols, and a sheet of paper with dashes.

  • At the bottom of the coded letter see "Following".

  • If you click on "Following" you will turn the note over and you will see a new list of words.

  • At the bottom right is a Cross button and a Magnifying glass button.

  • If you click on the Cross button, you close the puzzle.

  • By clicking the Magnifying Glass button you switch to the room.

  • You then see the ceiling, the floor and the walls.

  • Use your left mouse button to return to the puzzle.

Note: It depens on if you play the English version or the French version of the game whether you have a sheet of dashes with 7 lines or a sheet of dashes with 5 lines. The difference is that on a 7-line sheet the text will appear in English and on a 5 line sheet the text will appear in French.

  • If you place your cursor on a line on the sheet with the lines, some lines will turn red.

  • You will then see a word light up red on the coded letter.

  • If you click on a red line, a grid with the letters of the alphabet will appear above the striped sheet

  • On the diagram, which contains the letters of the alphabet, you see the ceiling panels, the wall panels and the floor tiles.

  • The letters in the boxes therefore belong to the drawings and symbols on the walls and ceiling, and on the floor tiles.

  • You now have to match the symbols on the walls/ceiling and the floor with the letters in the boxes

Step 1: Find the correct letter in the images:

Click the Magnifying Glass button to switch back to the room. Look at the ceiling.

Number the ceiling squares as you numbered the floor.

Note which square contains which symbol.

Now do this again for the wall panels and for the floor compartments. You will then get a table like this:

Ceiling: 

  • Tile 1 =Crescent moon 

  • Tile 2 = Sun 

  • Tile 3 = Spiral. 

  • Tile 4 = Star. 

  • Tile 5 = Empty. 

  • Tile 6 = Pi. 

  • Tile 7 = Ring. 

  • Tile 8 = Prism. 

  • Tile 9 = Earth

Wallpanels

  • Panel A = Snake. 

  • Panel B = Horn. 

  • Panel C = Sculll. 

  • Panel D = Miter. 

  • Panel E = Wheel. 

  • Panel F = Gallows. 

  • Panel G = Cup. 

  • Panel H = Tree. 

  • Panel I = portrait.

Floortiles:

  • Tile 1 = Key. 

  • Tile 2 = Coins. 

  • Tile 3 = Tower. 

  • Tile 4 = Crown. 

  • Tile 5 = Urn. 

  • Tile 6 = Salt. 

  • Tile 7 = Scale / Libra. 

  • Tile 8 = Cross. 

  • Tile 9 = Sword.

When you have finished the table, you can switch back to the puzzle via left click. Look at the sheet with the box diagram on it. 

So the diagram represents the ceiling, walls and floor of the room. So there is a letter in each box.

 Now compare the real tiles/panels, this time with the boxes on the diagram and then note the letter that is on the diagram in the box. 

You then have made the following table:

Ceiling:

  • Tile 1 = Moon = G 

  • Tile 2 = Sun = H. 

  • Tile 3 = Spiral = I

  • Tile 4 = Star = D

  • Tile 5 = Empty = E. 

  • Tile 6 = Pi. = F

  • Tile 7 = Ring = A.

  • Tile 8 = Prism = B

  • Tile 9 = Earth = C

Wallpanels:

  • Panel A = Snake = J

  • Panel B = Horn = K

  • Panel C = Scull = L

  • Panel D = Miter = M

  • Panel E = Wheel= N

  • Panel F = Gallows = O

  • Panel G = Cup = P

  • Panel H = Tree = Q

  • Panel I = Portrait = no letter

Floortiles:

  • Tile 1 = Key = R

  • Tile 2 = Coins = S

Step 2: Fill in the letters on the dashed sheet:

  I will now explain the puzzle further for the first 5 dashes. Then you have to know how it works and you can do the rest yourself. However, the explanation is based on the English Language version of the game, so I have a sheet of dashes with 7 lines. You know in which box, from the ceiling, the walls and the floor, which symbol stands. Now you have to fill in the correct letters on the dashes.

The 1st letter:

Make the 1st dash red. There are then 4 dashes red. 

The word CUP  turns red on the coded letter. Click on the 1e red line. The table with the letters appears.

You now have to click on the correct letter in the letter table, so that that letter is placed on the 1st dash. So look at your own table. So the Cup is on the walls in Panel G and that includes the letter P.  So click on the P in the letter table. The letter P appears on the 1st dash and on all the other dashes that are red

The 2nd letter:

Make the 2nd line red. Several lines now turn red. So all those red stripes have the same letter. SKULL is now red in the word list. The SKULL is on wallpanel C and that includes the letter L. Click on the red line 2 to open the letter table.

So click on the L in the letter table. The letter L appears on the 1st dash and on all the other dashes that are red

The 3rd Letter:

Make the 3rd dash red.  In the list, RING turns red. The RING is on floor tile 7 and the letter A belongs to it

 Click on the red line 3 to get the letter table again. Click on the A in the table

The 4th letter: 

Make the 4th dash red and BLACK CROSS is selected in the word list

. BLACK CROSS is on floortile 8 and that is letter Y So click Letter Y in the letter table

The 5 letter

Make dash 5 red. EMPTY gets selected in the list. On the ceiling is Tile 5 Empty and that has the letter E

 So click in the letter table you click on the E

You now know how it works, so now complete the puzzle yourself by filling in the correct letters on the correct dashes, according to the way I explained above.....Here is the complete solution when you play the English language version of the game

If you play the French language version then you should read as solution this.......joueur 23 nikopol - l'homme des etoiles reside au bunker arretez son fils. When the puzzle is solved, click on the cross button to exit the puzzle. Nikopol decides to leave the cemetery as soon as possible. Leave the Ritual Room and ....... Anubis, the Egyptian god with the head of a jackal suddenly shows up. Listen to what Anubis says:

Suddenly Nikopol hears Gorgon's voice telling the police where Nikopol is. Anubis disappears just as suddenly as he appeared. The military will arrive soon to arrest Nikopol. So you have to be quick again. Immediately go through the flap passage to the cold room. Then immediately turn right and go 1 click forward

You are then faced with freezers that are on wheels.  Behind this screen of freezers is the door of the Boucherie, which you saw in the photo in the office. Click on the frozen doors. The doors slide to the side and the "Boucherie" door appears. Click on the Boucherie door and......

..... Nikopol escapes and heads for the National Bunker. Nikopol now understands that Gorgon only included him in the Brotherhood to keep an eye on him and to make it easier to hand him over to the military.
