Chapter 11: Lower the Central Tower:

You have just taken the torch holder and the teleporter back and you are on your way to the Mechanics dome with the light cannon.

The Mechanics

Climb straight up the spiral staircase and aim the cannon on the marker disc by the hanging platform that you have actived in  Chapter 10

Aim the beam just next to the marker disc because you still have to adjust the lenses.

Turn to the cannon and click on the white handle to get the rack with lenses come down.

Select the lens you have found on the Summit and then click it  in holder F.  

Perhaps you have already placed the previously found lens, if not then select it and click it in holder E.

 You now have 6 lenses in the rack, you have to raise the lenses 1 by 1 and turn them so that you have the right combination.

 Below is an overview of all 6 lenses and their pattern, maybe it will be easier.  

You have to lower lens A, D, E and then rotate the other lenses

 I cannot say how often you have to rotate a lens because I do not know how many times you have turned the lenses already before.

There are more solutions for this lens problem but this screenshot may give you an idea of how to solve it

If you have made the correct pattern with the lenses in screen G, then click on the white handle again to make the rack with lenses disappear into the cannon again. Turn around to the control panel and now  aim the beam exactly on the marker disc and....... a light flash and you’re  ready with the cannon.  

It is not hard to guess where you have to go now, to the iron cupboard at the bottom of the hanging platform.

The 3rd power box puzzle

You can go there in two ways, go down in the hut and go outside. 

You have to walk through the North Shore because the door to the Hanging platform is blocked. 

You can now walk past Mechanics and across the hanging platform to the stairs on the left and down there you will find an iron cupboard.  

Or you walk past Mechanics and then under the walkway to the iron gate you will also reach that iron cupboard.  

Click on the button in the middle and the doors will fall off. You will see a power puzzle again.  

You start right in the middle, you see a small piece of white that splits into 2 orange cables. You have to end at the bottom right, but there is only one connection point. So you will have to merge 2 orange cables somewhere on the way to 1 white cable. There is only one place where you can merge 2 again to 1, maybe it is best to start with the white part.

 

The small cupboard next to it slides open and there is a magnet with an lifting eye on it. Take that magnet. 

There is a place where you can hang that magnet and that is above on the hanging platform on the hook of the rope. 

So go up the stairs and to the well.  

Select the magnet and then click on the hook of the reel. Then click on the crank of the reel to fish for iron.  

Click again on the crank and reel is turned up again, on the magnet now hangs a safe.  

Open the safe and take out the quarter of a round disc. That is 3, still 1 to go.

Where to find it? Think of the drawing in the cupboard at the suspension bridge to Swamp Island.  

This is pillar 1, at the Watchtower, but is has sunk into the ground so it will have to be activated again.

 Walk there and climb to the telescope. you do not have the orange torch anymore so select the white torch and click on the telescope holder.  

Now aim the telescope beam again on the round disc above pillar 1 and........, the pillar will rise again.  

Click outside the telescope and then jump down and walk to pillar 1. At the bottom you see a hatch, slide it open and grab the last quarter of a round disc.  

Walk back up to the telescope and get the white torch back, because you need it hard in Part 2 Under the Ground.  

If you remember the first time in Mechanics, you saw a box with a strange key in it. There was room for a round disc on the side of that box. Walk to Mechanics, you will have to walk again through the North Shore because the other door is blocked. Walk to that box and look at the space for the round disc, it looks the same as the quarters. Now select those quarter segments, one by one,  and click each time in that space.  

The segments are placed and the box opens.  Take the key, 

you now have the 3 keys for the pillar in front of the Central Tower. So walk to the Central Tower.

Lower the Central Tower and sink with it into the ground:  

Stand in front of the pillar. You see 3 pins that stop the tower from sinking to the ground and as you can see, each pin has its own keyhole.

The upper, keyhole A, has 3 slots. The middle, B, has 4 slots and the bottom, C, has 2 slots.  

You must now adjust the keys to the keyhole. Go into your inventory (Q) and locate the key with 2 tabs. Now you have to adjust the tabs of the key to fit into keyhole C. Put the key upright with the side piece to the left, not obliquely backwards or forwards, so it is easier to see if the tabs are properly positioned. Click on the tabs to twist them, It does not matter what tab you twist if they have the right direction. The order is not important.

Note from Louis: This screenshots shows how I have adjusted Key C to fit into Keyhole C

If you think that you have adjust the key correctly then try if you can put it into keyhole C.  

If you have set the 2 tabs of the correctly then the key will go into the keyhole and lock C goes open.

 If the key doesn't fit then the 2 tabs are not set correctly.......

Ok ...... do the same now with the A key. Kery A has 3 tabs and you should set them las in this screenshot

If a key does not fit immediately, then you have to take a good look at the tabs again and then adjust them.  

Put the adjusted Key A into keyhole A and.....when the tabs are set correctly the key will fit and lock A goes open.

 as the last key you adjust Key B.....this one must be set as a cross and it has 4 tabs...

you must set the 4 tabs like a cross, see this screenshot.

Put Key B into keyhole B and.......

If you have correctly configured all 3 keys and have placed them in their keyhole, all 3 pins have been moved to the left and ....  

..... Watch how the Central Tower slowly sinks down .......  

When the sinking is stopped walk over the wooden bridge into the tower. 

This is a lift that you have now entered. Inside you see a push button on a post. Click on it and you go up with the elevator  

On top step out  the elevator and look around, you have a nice view over the terrain.  At the back of the two lift rails you see a lever,

 .............pull both levers down.  

Get back in the elevator and press the button to go down to the ground again. 

You must go further down into the ground but the elevator has stopt at ground floor

 Get out of the elevator and raise the two levers again.  

Now you have to check if you have all the crystals: white, blue, green and red. Once you are at the bottom of the tower you can’t go up anymore.  

Get back in the elevator and press the button again and........, now you go down to the bottom of the tower.  

You are then deep underground. The second part of the game takes place under the ground and you can't go back up
