Part 2: Underground

Chapter 17: Reservoir Cave and The Library

A: Reservoir Cave  

At the bottom of the spiral staircase you come on a platform, there are 3 paths here.  

Straight ahead you see a walkway with a gate, actually there are 5 gates behind each other.

 Left at the beginning of the path is a pillar with a push button. Behind that button you can go down to a lower path. You also see 2 panels with dials

On the right is also a metal walkway. Go there first. Halfway the path you see, on your left,  a red glass ball with 5 buttons on the right side.  

Each button has a number of points, the top 1 and then descending downwards to 5. 

When you press a button, you see a crystal configuration and you hear a humming sound:  

Button with 1 point is a double crystal. Button with 2 points is a thick single crystal. Button with 3 points is a thin single crystal. Button with 4 points is a crystal with 3 points. Button with 5 points is a bunch of 5 crystals . Make a note of this because you need this in a minute. Walk to the end of the walkway there is a blackboard with 8 characters and the numbers 1 to 8. The closed gate on the left will never go open

Walk back  to the crossroad at the spiral staircase. 

While you walk back you see that there are 5 locked gates along the path that goes from the spiral staircase to the steel exit door........

You need to open up those 5 gates to get to that steel door. Go straight ahead to the end op the path. 

 At the end you can down a little stairs to the lower path, but first look around here. 

There are 2 panels with a total of 5 dials and you see the push button on a pole. Walk to the 5 dials. 

The left panel has 2 dails, A and B, and the other panel has 3 dials, C, D, E. 

Each dial is half a circle with the numbers 1 til 8 on them. Above each dial is an arrow with a little yellow light. You need to turn each dial with the correct number under those arrows, but you do not know those numbers yet.  You get to play with these 5 dials in a moment. Turn around and then click the push button on the pole...... unfortunately ..... no power.  

Go down to the lower path and walk over the low path along the gates, a white crystal hangs at each gate. You have just seen these crystals in the red ball.  

Walk to the end. Behind the 5 gates you will see the door you have to use to leave this cave.  

Number the white crystals,  from left to right,  1 to 5. Each white crystal is at a gate, so those gates are also numbered as 1 to 5. 

On a rail along the white crystals hangs a microphone and it is now one of the white crystals. When you walk past it you hear a sound.

You can slide the microphone to each of the with crystals. Each white crystal makes a different sound that gets amplified by the miscrophone. 

Now move that microphone to each white crystal and listen to the sound / tone that each crystal makes Start with crystal 1.

  Not the tone is important but the volume of the tones as you stand directly in front of a crystal.

 If you know the pattern of the volume then go back to the blackboard at the end of the walkway. 

On the blackboard you see the number that goes with the crystals and the tones. You get the following combinations:  

Gate 1: only 1 thin crystal, volume from hard to soft = number 7

Gate 2: 5 crystals, volume hard-soft-hard-soft-hard= number 1

Gate 3: double crystal, volume hard-soft-hard-soft = number 4

Gate 5: only 1 thick crystal, volume soft-hard-soft = number 2

Gate 4: triple crystal, volume soft-hard-soft-hard = number 8  

Now walk to the panels with the dials and name them from left to right A to E.  

 At the bottom of the dial is a button with a number of points. The knob of dial A has 1 point, that includes a double crystal and it has a number 4.

Set dial A to 4, do this with each dial and you get: A = 4, B = 2, C = 7, D = 8 and E = 1  

Set all the dials to the right number and then click on the push button op top of the short pole, now the gates will go open. 

Now walk through the gates to the door at the end and turn the wheel of the door. 

The door goes open a bit....Click on the handle and the door opens completely.

Walk through the hallway to the next door, turn the wheel and click on the lever. Door opens, you see a library.  

You've arrived in The Library, step inside and the door closes. You cannot go back.

  B: The Library:

Take a look around, on the other side is a door with a strange construction on it.  On the left you see a desk and on the right a table with a typewriter.  

Go look at the table. There's a typewriter on the table and next to the table stand a slide projector that points to a big screen

Walk to the desk, there is a letter. Read the letter.

Behind the desk you see two windows with a button in between.  

Press the button and the shutters will close.  

 On the right are two pillars, one with a vase and the other empty.

Here you can set up the pot you have left over of the wind / sound puzzle at the garden and the alchemy lab.

Walk to the door with the puzzle, above the door is a sign with 8 lights. You need to get all these lights on in one way or another.  

You need to do this by making 8 letters with the symbols that are on the door

Now walk back to the table with the typewriter. Next to the table is a projector with 3 slides and it also has a holder for a torch.

You can try the white torch but you do not get a picture, so only the blue torch remains.  Put your blue torch in the holder and.......

You now see an clue for the door puzzle, projected on the screen

Turn the slides and  you see the next clue, projected on the screen. 

Turn the slides one more time and you see a table projected.  

Zoom in on the table: you see 8 rows and 3 columns with numbers, call the columns A, B and C.  

8 rows and also 8 lights above the exit door, so this is an clue for the door puzzle. 

If you look at  the your letters in your letter inventory you will see that 8 of those letters have a Latin saying at the bottom.  

If you look at the numbers of those letters, in Column A of the table,  you see that they are the 8 numbers in column A. The other 2 slides indicate that the 2nd digit tells you which word you should have and the 3rd indicates which letter of that word you should have. The letters in question are the letters: 7, 12, 5, 10, 20, 7, 15, 13 and 19.  Take the table and the letters and find out which letters you need.  

Letter U and Letter M are at the bottom of letters 6 (or 7?) and 12.  

Continue like this to find the other 6 letters via the letters. You then have the letters: S, A, E, C, U, L, U, M. You have to type these letters on the typewriter. To solve the door puzzle you don’t need the letters but you need symbols for those letters. Walk to the typewriter and type the letters, the machine translates them to symbols.  

NB: you better not zoom in on the typewriter because then you cannot press the keys ....

 But in the updated version of the game this is not a problem anymore 

Type in S, A, E, C ......... you will then get 4 symbols for these letters on the paper.

then type in: U, L, U, M and you get the last 4 symbols on the paper  

On the paper are now all 8 symbols ....... Make a sketch of this. These are the symbols and the letters.  

You can try to get the blue crystal back but that is not possible, you do not need that crystal anymore.

 Now go to the door with the puzzle, above the door there is a sign with 8 lights and an arrow.

You must turn on these lights 1 by 1 by copying the symbols you have just found.  

Now zoom in on the symbols on the door.

At the top are 2 slightly larger boxes, Button  A on the left is a push button and in box B on the right you will see the symbol you are making now. 

Below A and B are 9 boxes, call these 1 to 9 from left to right. On the buttons are parts of the symbols. You need 2 or 3 buttons for each letter. 

You make the symbols by pressing a number of buttons 1 to 9, when the symbol is ready, press button A.  

If you have done well, a light will illuminate above the door and the arrow will shift. All 8 lights should come on.

  Start with the letter S, for this you need the buttons 1 and 8. In box B you see the whole symbol, now press button A

The arrow, above the door,  moves to light 1 and it is now on.  

In the same way you make the other letters and after each good symbol you press button A. The arrow moves up and the light comes on.

Here are the combinations for all 8 letters.  

All lights are now on and the door opens and yo get another cut scene with Gamana.  

when iGamara  is done follow her through the door....you are then Backstage.

You are at the rocks again and if you look closely you will see that the library is really just a decor. The books are not real. 

You have  arrived in the last chapter of the game ......
