Chapter 1: How to get into the Castle

You sail in a boat over a river. You arrive at a lake with a castle on the right bank. You moor at the jetty and your game starts.

 

 You will first get a Tutorial about the controls in the game, how you move and how you can pick and use things. First a little practice with the mouse, then your attention is being focus at the suitcase. Click on the suitcase and you zoom in on it, click again to open it. You see a key, a picture and a piece of paper. Click on the piece of paper. it turns out to be a letter.  

Read the letter and click it away by clicking next to the letter. Take the picture. This is your first, optional photo and you have now "scored" the thing. 

Pick up the key, it comes in your inventory. You can look at things in the inventory and look at them from all sides.

 

  Click next to the suitcase to zoom out. Look around and you will see a hotspot right behind the jetty. Click on that hotspot and ......... you arrive at a closed gate.

 

  Zoom in on the fence and you will see how to drag the key to the lock with the left mouse button pressed.

Do this and the key is inserted into the lock, the gate opens and you automatically step back.

 

  If you stand with your mouse on the fence, the fence will light up. This indicates that you can continue here, so click on the fence.....

 .......you come to a closed door that gives access to the castle. Look around and click anywhere.  

  There is a letter on the barrel in the front. Click on the letter to read the letter (you can zoom in with your mouse wheel).  

  Click next to the letter to put it back Click next to the barrels to zoom out. Turn to the left and you will see a pedestal. Zoom in on it and turn the upper ring to the left to open it.

 

  Inside is half of a gear, take it.

 

  Zoom out and look around. To the right of the door you see a cupboard and in front of the cupboard, next to a flower, you see a note on the ground.

 

  Zoom in on the note and read it and put it back.

   Zoom in on the cupboard now. The disc that is in front can be opened and behind it is another half sprocket. Take this half gear.

 

  Combine the 2 halves in your inventory into a complete gear.  

Now look at the sign, to the left of the door, and zoom in on it. Now drag the gear from the inventory to the signboard.  

  The gear fits and rotates automatically and ....... the door is no longer locked.

 

  You automatically step back. Go inside by clicking on the door.

The power generator

You've entered into the generator room. Look around. You see the generator that does nothing and does not want to start. You also see a table and also 2 fences that are closed. The gate at the generator closes the stairs. A power box is hanging right above the table. The fence opposite the generator is locked. Behind that fence you see a lever.

 

The generator has 2 places where you can zoom in. These are the place where you have to place a battery and a power button box. To the left of the closed stairway is also a power button box. View the table / workbench. A drawer is placed in the table / workbench. Click on the drawer to open it and .... in the drawer you will find the first 3 coins. Pick up the coins.

 

  Zoom out of the drawer and zoom in on the table / workbench. You see a book on top of the table.

Click on the book and this will open. You will see a drawing and explanation of the generator and the battery for it.

 

  On the right-hand page, see a drawing with 6 sliders. Remember how those 6 sliders are on the drawing. 

Zoom out and open the power box right above the table. You see 6 sliders in the power box. Put the 6 sliders as you saw on the drawing in the book.

 

  Zoom out and zoom in on the power buttons, next to the gate in front of the stairs. Slide these 6 sliders also as shown in the book.

 

  Zoom in on the power buttons of the generator and set it as shown in the book and ....

 

  ....... the fence at the table / workbench is now open. Now go in there.  

  Against the wall you see a workbench with a lever above it on the wall. Furthermore you see, in the right in the corner, a closed chest on a barrel.

 

  You will find 2 coins in the middle of the workbench. Take the coins and ..... You now have all the coins for this part.

Zoom in on the handle on the wall and pull it down and ......

 

 ..... the chest opens and in it you will find a battery for the generator.  

  Take the battery out of the box and look at the thing in the inventory. The battery has 3 segments that you can turn  

  Go to the generator and zoom in on where the battery has to go,

If you try to place the battery in the generator, you will notice that this is not possible because the battery is not properly "configured".

 

  You only have to adjust the battery so that the numbers connect: 1 on 1, 2 on 2 and 3 on 3.

Click on the battery in your inventory and then turn the segments in the correct position. Then click the battery again and drag it from your inventory to the generator.

 

  Then click on the start button. The generator starts and the light goes on and ...... the gate to the stairs opens. Click on the stairs and go up.

 

  Upstairs you enter a room with a plinth, a table and a door where a power cable goes under. And of course the stairs to go back down.

 

  The creator of the game calls this the first area. If you click on the button to the left of your inventory you will see the score of coins, photos etc. that you can find in this area. 

Turn to the stairs. Just behind the stairs you can see a picture between a few planks. Zoom in and grab the picture.

 

  Zoom out and turn around to the table. You see a number of things on the table:  papers and a metal button / handle.

Zoom in on the papers, between the papers you see 2 coins, take them. Now click on the white paper, this is a delivery note.

 

  With your mouse wheel you can zoom in on the note, then zoom out again. Zoom out again and then zoom in on the lever. Pick up the lever.

 

  Zoom out and walk to the pedestal. On top is an opening in the pedestal, drag the handle to the opening and turn it a quarter of a turn.  

  .............and ....... the door is unlocked.

   

  Well ...... Click on the door and ....... you go through the door and, after the loading, you have ended up in .....
